API for getting iView Type?

Hi All,
I could only get the iView description,title from the PCM Object.
I would like to retrieve the type(like webdynpro,bsp etc) of iView and other properties.

I am trying to figure out if there is a way in my program to get iView properties: the iView type (e.g. transaction, Web Dynpro, etc), then if it's a transaction iView to get the tCode for that iView.
I have seen document that tells me I can get the list of iViews in a given PCD location, and I think you can get the properties I mentioned above as such:

API for getting diagnotic server info

Is there an API for getting diagnostic information about the server (memory usage, etc.). We'd like to write a program to monitor the server.

I am trying to do something similar my call to Session.getSession generates
the following exception:

You have a file named layoutTemplate.jsp in the Page Layout Template. The following tags are part of the layout tag library:

3. taglib uri</b>
A layout container represents a column of iViews. You use the <lyt:container> tag to position the layout container in the layoutTemplate.jsp file. When the HTML page is created, the container is rendered as an html <table>, with a row for each iview.

ISEE API for getting the HP warranty details

As per my research i don't find any REST-API to get the HP warranty details, so i tried to achieve the same using ISEE-API. But when sending the request using the below request xml i get an error as 'BAD REQUEST'.

Hi,
The process you should follow is:
1. Use SHD0 to create the transaction variant. This will generate a transport number if you provide a custom package name. You can not transport it if you save it as local object.
2. In IMG you have to assign the newly created transaction variant to the respective transaction type. This should generate a new configuration transport.
3. You should now transport these transports in sequence.
I have used this process and transported the transaction variants from development to quality/production environment and this process has worked fine for me.
If you are also following the same process and still facing the problem, then please check your transport requests (to analyse whether all the required entries are included in the request) and check the import log. Probably the transport is not complete/successful. You can also execute SHD0 in quality to check whether the transaction variants are copied properly or not.

We are on Adobe Connect 9. Through the UI, you can generate a nice report on who has taken a course and when they completed it (Training > Shared Training > [course name]).

we are changing the format of the <about> screen of our application. We show the version of the main development components that are the part of our application.
For the version date of the development components, we were earlier showing the deployment date. However we now plan to change it to their build date. We need to know if there is any API to find the build date of the development components.

What's a good book for getting started?

I've been doing web design in HTML and ColdFusion for almost 3 years. It's clear that ColdFusion is on it's way out and I need to learn J2EE/Java/JSP etc. I have a few questions:
Java is a term I've heard associated with C++ and other types of programming as well as Web design. Are the Java/C++ Java and the Web Java basically the same type of language? Is the Web Java and JavaScript the same thing? I'm very confused!
What is a good book for getting these types of questions answered and getting started in J2EE/Java/JSP? There are quite a few variations of script languages out there and I want to make sure I learn the right stuff, ie the stuff that employers are going to be needing.

Print it off or read from the screen. Otherwise, there are several good Java books out there. What I would do is go to the bookstore and thumb through a few books. Depending on what type of book you want (example based or theory) find the books that you think would satisfy your learning style. Write down the names and authors, go home and buy them used online at Amazon for tremendous discounts. This way you can buy several versus just one.

Why is Get File Type.vi password protected

Hi... We have a code that was developed in LabVIEW 8.6... We have a need to attempt to save this code all the way back to version 7.1... I saved it back from 8.6 --> 8.5 --> 8.2.1 --> 8.0 with no issues... But when I then try to save it back from 8.0 to 7.1 I encounter one LabVIEW 8 vi that has no equivalent functionality in 7.1... And that one vi is
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.x\vi.lib\Utility\lvfile.llb\Get File Type.vi
When I look at that vi in 8.x, to endeavor to see if I can replace its functionality by writing some code in 7.1, I find that the Get File Type.vi is password protected... More out of curiousity than anything, why is that code password protected??? I wasn't aware that any of the standard purchased LabVIEW code came password protected... That VI is using an internal callback into LabVIEW (i.e. non G-based code) to determine the type of the file. I'm guessing the callback doesn't exist in 7.1, so you would need to write your own G-based implementation for getting the type of a file in the 7.1 case. The simplest solution would be to work with the extensions of the files...not perfect, but probably close enough assuming your files are well-named. Also, the following VI can give you a bit more information about LabVIEW-specific files (independent of extension):

Usage of Google API for route implementation in the iPhone application

To wrap this thread up; I have had an answer on stack overflow.
It appears that currently the grant type client_credentials is not supported, according to a comment on this blog post by Matthias' http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2014/03/25/using-oauth2-to-access-calendar-contact-and-mail-api-in-exchange-online-in-office-365.aspx
"There is no way in the code flow to avoid username/password. We're working on a client credential flow for later this fall that will give you the functionality required to run background services. For this you will not need a username/password,
but the application will directly assert its identity and authenticate as itself."
Unfortunately I require client_credentials for a daemon process, Q4 is the scheduled release for support for this grant time.
