Api to call from plsql as clicking button "Configurator" from OM screen

Hi,
I need to call an API from Plsql Procedure which performs hte same action as clicking the configurator button in sales order screen.
Can you please help me out in getting the api name and syntax.

If you are getting 404 page not found error, then there may a problem in deployment of servlet.
Are you able to launch your servlet URL directly when requesting from the browser. Type your servlet URL in browser and check the response.
If you want to have control when configurator finishes its action, you should specify the your servlet url in the return_url parameter in the initialize message used to launch configurator.

Can't open new tab by clicking + button or from File

I am unable to open new tab by clicking the + box or even from File - New Tab. It has been working perfectly but failed since last week. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the trouble seems remaining unchanged.Is my Firefox affected by virus or something else? Please help! it is so inconvenient.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4

Open pdf document from local disk on button trigger from Oracle form in 6i

hi all.
i have an application in oracle forms 6i. The system from where forms are run...has a local folder with pdf documents. the requirement is that when user click on a button in oracle form...the respective pdf from the local folder should open (in browser or in adobe pdf or in any other way).
I really desperately need this help. had googled. did use the host and client_host commands in the button trigger but am presented with error "host, client_host" not declared.

Oracle BI 11.1.1.7.1: Calling BI webservices from Plsql Procedure: ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

     I have a requirement of calling BI webservices from Plsql stored procedure. I generated all my wsdl java classes and loaded them into the database. However, when I tried to call one of my java class using stored procedure, it is giving me"ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError".
*Cause:    A Java exception or error was signaled and could not be
           resolved by the Java code.
*Action:   Modify Java code, if this behavior is not intended.
But all my dependency classes are present in database as java class objects and are valid. Can some one help me out of this?

You can look in USER_ERRORS to see if there's anything more specific reported by the compiler. But, it could also be the case that everything's OK (oddly enough). I loaded the JavaMail API in an 8.1.6 database and also got bytecode verifier errors, but it ran fine. Here are the errors I got when loading Sun's activation.jar, which ended up not being a problem:

Calling java classes from plsql procedures

I'm attempting to call java classes from plsql procedures which will create cmsdk users, folders, groups etc, however when I attempt to load a java class into the oracle schema using the command:
loadjava -user user/password@database -resolve classname.class
It generates error messages to the effect that classes (cmsdk classes) required by the class cannot be found. The class is loaded and marked with the status "invalid". Is it therefore necessary for me to load the cmsdk packages into the schema?

Using CMSDK Java API within the database has never been supported
(see Problems loading IFS's java class into database
When we needed to invoke CMSDK code from our PL/SQL code, we used one of two approaches:
(1) use advanced queues to send requests to an external Java program (the CMSDK code, running outside the database) and receive the results back (asynchronous choice); or
(2) make an HTTP request to a Java servlet (the CMSDK code, running in some Java web container like iAS) and get the response back in some custom format (XML or something) (synchronous choice).
It seems to me that the CMSDK Java API was designed to be used only in middle-tier, not in database tier.

If I am speaking to a person, if they hang up then I am back to the phone application. If I'm leaving a message, I am unable to return to the phone screen to end the call, and have to wait until the other phone hangs up. I'm also unable to switch back and forth to look at my calendar if I'm calling someone about scheduling. This has only started happening since the most recent iOs update. I run into situations similar to this about once per day during the work week, as I use my phone is this manner quite often. While not life altering it is quite frustrating. Can anyone here help me figure out a way to avoid this? If it helps, I have noticed a general downgrade in overall performance starting two system updates ago (apps opening more slowly, closing unexpectedly more often, etc.). I have an iPhone 3GS with the latest OS update.

You can check the notification settings for message.
Settings>Notification Center>Messages>Alert Style
It should be on Banners or Alerts.
Settings>Messages> Turn on Imessage and send as SMS and below that "Blocked" to check if you have any numbers block might be blocking the message.
You can also do a hard reset by holding power and home till it restarts and release after seeing the apple logo.
Still doesn't work? Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

Calling Web Service from PLSQL. Does anyone do this regularly?

I grabbed the demo_soap package that is available on both metalink and on the regular oracle site, to try calling a web service from plsql to return the xml. I've had minor success, although I get an ORA600 error , for which I've opened up a TAR. However, the first reply was the I was hitting a bug (db ver. 9206) that had to do with getting 100m in xml in a response. I'm nowhere near that size, and the largest xml response I've been able to generate from the service was 400k (k not m). It doesn't seem that huge. Does anyone work with calling a web service from plsql? Have they had success?

Well, you should first test if your webservice is reachable with a simple WS - Client or a Browser - Plugin, then verify the respones of the web service and after that you can take further investigations on your problem domain. The error - message refers to a line in your function, obviously, but I can't see which line and because there is more than one call to sys.utl_dbws I don't see at what point the script fails. NULL - Pointer - Execptions usually indicate that a method was invoked on a variable which should contain an object reference but is NULL.

Can't open an Executable From Click Button

Hi, Everyone!
I've broken a learning module into several small project
files to match the client's standards. I've set up click buttons
within each file to open each of the published movies for the
module. Everything works as expected.
Now I need to create a standalone course using the same
files. I've published each file as a Standalone executable. I've
modified the open action on the click buttons to "Open URL or File"
and selected the appropriate .exe file as the target. I've
republished the files with the new click action. When I open an
executable and click a button to open another executable, I get an
error message stating that the page cannot be displayed.
What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help?

For starters, did you try simply exporting all related files
as .EXE files and test that way before making any changes? If so,
what were your results? I've seen before where once Captivate was
successfully linking to another movie, simply changing from .SWF to
.EXE format just worked.

Journal import fails when called from PLSQL

Hi,
When journal import is called from plsql code it is failing with error in 'gllacc() Function returning without value and no data found'.
Same transaction is run succesfully from front end.
I checked both gl_interface and gl_interface_control table but couldnt find the issue.
Any info on this would be very helpful.

I am using a button placed on a SCREEN.
WHen i click on the button i am doing some process using on user command.
I want the output on a report (as a list output) based ob my write statments
I tried with leave to list processing , set screen 0..etc stuff but thats not calling my report output.
