APO : Problem in time stamp select option

Hi All,
I am using a time stamp data elemnt (/SAPAPO/TSUCR) as select option in the selection screen. As the time stamp is a combination of date and time, the user is entering only the date in the selection screen. Say the user is entering data as 27.08.2006, inside the program the select option value is changed to 26.08.2006. We are getting a day less. how can we solve the problem. I had tried using adding a day in the program. Please post your valuable ideas if you had expierience same kind of problem.

I am not sure if this would be correct.You can change the selection-screen parameter to type 'date' instead of 'timestamp' and convert it into timestamp inside the Program using the FM 'ADDR_CONVERT_DATE_TO_TIMESTAMP'.

*.eml Time Stamp - Select File in Windows Explorer Changes the Modified Date

The Windows Live Mail *.eml files time stamp is getting changed to the current date when the file is selected in the Windows Explorer! I save backup copies of important E-mails to folders on the Hard Drive and then synchronize them with the same folders on other LAN Hard Drives for backup archives. When these E-mail files are selected or opened from the Windows Explorer in the Windows 7 OPS the Modified Date Time Stamp is changed to the current date automatically! This action creates a real problem when doing later synchronizations of all of the folders! The date will not be the original date of the E-mail and the original file will be over copied with the file with the newest date stamp. I stopped Indexing on the *.eml files and that stopped the time stamp change when overcopy synchronization, but if the file is selected during a viewing in Windows Explorer then the Time Stamp is updated to the current date again! The Date and Timestamp changing issue in Windows 7 has a two part fix!
1. Disable the Indexing of the *.eml file type in the Indexing Options located by Clicking on "Control Panel" - "Indexing Options" - Advanced Button - File Types Tab - scroll down to the .eml file type and uncheck the Box then click OK to finish, so
that the Email type of files won't be Indexed.
2. Delete the Registry Entry listed below, be sure to Export and Save the original Key so it could be Restored if something goes wrong! \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\PropertyHandlers
and Delete the .eml entry

Problem with time stamp

Hello,
I got mistake in ODS manage like this:
The time stamp in the source system is 24.09.2007
The time stamp in the BW is 23.05.2009.
I have problem to load data in ODS.
What should I do ?? Replicate the data source ? But then it's possible to get double data. What to do ??

Problem in creating a Select-option im a module pool screen

I've been searching how to do a select option in a module pool screen, I've found this neat tutorial http://sample-code-abap.blogspot.com/2008/06/select-option-in-module-pool-screen.html
but I'm having trouble to replicate it...
I've created this conde in my TOP include
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 201 AS SUBSCREEN.
   SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b2 WITH FRAME.
    SELECT-OPTIONS: s_matnr FOR mara-matnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b2.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 201.
and this is my screen flow code
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE status_0100.
MODULE pbo_200.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.

in the screen 200 I have a subscreen area named subs
but when I do this:

it doesn't "compile"
it gives me this error:
""." or "ID ... FIELD ..." expected after "SUBSCREEN"."
what am I missing? it seems its not recognising the "CALL SUBSCREEN" command...

you can't use CALL SUBSCREEN... in any ABAP section. It is reserved to dynpro flow logic. Just add it after PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT (and also after PROCESS AFTER INPUT).

Try this way:
CONVERT TIME STAMP <tst> TIME ZONE <tz> INTO DATE <d> TIME <t>.
CONVERT DATE <d> TIME <t> INTO TIME STAMP <tst> TIME ZONE <tz>.
<tst> is of type P(8) or P(11) with 7 decimal places
<tz> of type C(6)

Problem with time stamp conversion

But i want to convert and pass the time and date with format to excel sheet , but its it taking again as string not in date time format .

Now that you've converted your time stamp to date (type d) and time (type t), convert them into alphnumeric fields like you want or tell excel what is in that column, since Excel isn't telepathic...and doesn't always know what we sent it....
data: date10(10) type c.
         time8(8) type c.
write dat to date10 mm/dd/yyyy. "converts type d to user's specific date setting (not necessarily mm/dd/yyyy).
concatenate tim(2)
                    tim+2(2)
                    tim+4(2)
   into time8 separated by ':'.
I do wish that I understood the fascination with Excel....when we have such marvelous tools to work with inside SAP or BW.

Facing problem with Time stamp

Check out the JavaScript pages for a solution. you should be able to load both images into div tags where one is visible and the other hidden. Using a JavaScript time you should then be able to swith the visibilities after a set time has passed. The only problem I for see is some time the page space can be thrown off when you hide and show div tags.

Problem in creating dynamic select-options creating from ';' seperated file

My requriement is selection screen fields will come from a flat file like below(first row is field names and remaining r field values)
For example for VBAK table

file can be vary(number of fields) and based on table .
Please let me know how can i convert this file in to the selection-screen fields and how can i pass these values in the select statement WHERE condition....

Hi,
First Split the Data using Field Symbold.Because you don't know how many fields are there in the text file.
Pass the values to the below Syntax
SELECTION-SCREEN DYNAMIC SELECTIONS FOR NODE|TABLE <node>.

Problem if Select-Option is INITIAL.

HI all,
I have a question on how to handle to handle Select-Options.
IF some_value IN S_value.
Logic1.
ELSE.
Logic2.
ENDIF.
Problem here is when Select-Option S_value is Empty. It is true for all values in 'some_value'. Is there any easy way to handle it, WITHOUT explicitly checking if the Select-Option IS INITIAL or not, it make my code lot simpler.

Why do you want to avoid checking whether select-option is initial. That is the simplest way to handle this.
If you dont want that then my suggestion is use, describe table S_OPTION and get number of lines. You can check whether number of lines is zero or more than zero.
Ex:
data : l type i.
describe table s_option lines l.
if l = 0.
else.
endif.
Still checking for initial is the best option.

How do you make a time stamp update?

Hi, thanks in advance...
I am programming an interface to a scale... it retrieves a weight, time stamps it, enters a comment, then sends this string to a spreadsheet.
My problem: the time stamp never updates unless I right click it > select "data operations" > select "set time to now". Then it's stuck there and never updates while the program is running. It just keeps on stamping 8:15 (or whatever time it is updated to) all day long.
Am I using the wrong VI here or is there something else I have to select to get it to work?

Try using the 'Get Date/Time String' or 'Get Date/Time Seconds' vi to obtain your timestamp. Which one you use depends on how you wish to format your timestamp. Im not sure which vi you are currently using, but it looks to me like you are either using a timestamp constant (which wont update in your loop) or control (which you need to manually update from the front panel).

Splitting Select Options

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in splitting the Select options for my screen. What I have to do is I am expecting the User to enter around 5000 records in the Select Options. I have to use 2000 records at a time for processing, which means three set of records of 2000, 2000 and 500.
Can you please tell me how can this be achieved??

Are you sure that even reducing the SELECT-OPTION to package of 2000 will be enough, in some database the system will raise an error related to a too large SQL statement.
Splitting an internal table (as SELECT-OPTIONS are) is very easy. (see bellow)
But be aware that some records may be exclusions, like :
- SIGN = 'E' and OPTION is one of the positive operator like EQ, BT or CP
- SIGN = 'I' and OPTION is one of the negative operator (every operator except the three previous)
Those records must be in every package of selection
so loop at select-options
- put the exclusion in a first internal table
loop once again at select-options excluding the records of the previous loop
- append to a temporary internal table
- when number of record equal maximal number allowed for a SQL SELECT minus the number of record in the first internal table, execute the SELECT, clear the temporary internal table
To bypass this problem
- don't use those record to build the partial select-options but delete records after select from database
- You could(should) consider restricting select-options allowed options ([SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/RestrictSelectOptions]) so you wont have to execute this and only have to split an internal table with statement like [APPEND|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPAPPEND.htm] [LINES OF jtab [FROM idx1] [TO idx2] |http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPAPPEND_LINESPEC.htm#&ABAP_ALTERNATIVE_3@3@]

Where did the time zone selection go when making an event in Calendar?

So in iOS5 and iOS6 there was an option to select the time zone the event was going to be in when creating it in the Calendar app.
Now in iOS7 it appears it is no longer there unless you turn time zone support ON.
I want to be able to have time zone support OFF like I had in iOS5 and 6 and still have the time zone selection option when creating events.
I'm at a loss for why this option was removed. Is there any way to get this back? My coworkers are having issues creating meeting events when out on the road and figuring out the right time zone +/- when moving between time zones.

You can middle-click a tab with the mouse scroll wheel to close that tab.
Did you try Save mode to be sure that it is not caused by an extension or theme?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How to get system time format in time stamp

I have one problem regarding Time stamp. I want system time stamp format in Time control. If my system date/time format change then automatically my time stamp format should also change.If my system Time stamp format is hh:mm:ss AM/PM dd/mm/yy so in my LabVIEW time stamp format should also same. If System time stamp format hh:mm:ss AM/PM mm/dd/yyyy so in my LabVIEW time stamp format should also same.
So Please help me its a very important for my automation application.

Time stamp issue in odi

In my interface I am using txt.file as source and target is oracle. Here I am facing problem with time stamp and below are the details provided.
Details: We are getting a flat file from the source in which we are getting one of the columns as time stamp (2013032710101010) and we need to populate it in a stage table column OPTOUT_DATE which is of type DATE.
We are facing issue in loading this TIMESTAMP data into DATE data type.
Km for this is,
Lkm file to sql,
Ikm sql incremental update,
ckm sql.

I have one more doubt this moment.
What it is means, In the Interface level of ODI we have staging are different from target. Here we have SUNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE. Can you please tell what is the use of this in ODI.
1.     How this works internally?
2.     Can we use it as our target/Source as well?
4.     Is it possible to retain data in the memory for later use?
So if you explain me more brief about these three questions that would be very much better and also helpful for me. Because I am going to develop
one POC doc(Proof Of Concept) on this.
