Append output from other class

Hello!
I have a blackjack game where I have used a.append(); to send output to a graphic textarea instead of the console.
My game consists of several classes where one of them is the one who runs the actual game with graphic things and so on.
In this class the a.append works fine since the textarea is in that class.
But how shall I do to append output in other classes? If I try to compile I get the error message "Error resolving symbol" since the other class does not recognize the graphical textarea a.
How do I make the other classes to recognize the graphical object?

The a.append only works in the class where the graphical object lies. I want this class to recognize the graphic object in the other class so that it understands the append code.

I have written a GUI for several classs and I was wondering if it is possible to have the output from these classes written to something like a JTextArea or equivalent.
I know I could store the output (instead of System.out.print) and then setup a JTextArea and set the text equal to the stored output. I was hoping there was another way to do this that'd be more aesthetic.

Sound output from other user accounts

It used to be that I would hear sounds from other logged-in user accounts; I'd hear my wife's new mail arrival sound, I'd hear her Skype ringing when calls were coming in, etc. I also used to be able to play iTunes in one account, fast-user-switch to another, and the music would still play.
This has all gone away recently. I'm not exactly sure but I think it coincided with the 10.4.4 update.
This is a big concern because my wife was used to hearing her incoming Skype calls ringing when I was using the Mac, but now she misses all her calls if someone else is logged in!
I haven't found any other mention of this in any forum. Is this just me having this problem? Any way I can fix it?

Okay, I just got off the phone with Apple support and they say that sound outputting from other user accounts was a "bug" that has now been "fixed." They said that this was patched sometime between the 10.4.3 and 10.4.4 updates. I'm surprised to hear that you are having this problem in 10.4.2 because I'm sure it worked for me under 10.4.3 at some point. None of the security updates released under either 10.4.3 or 10.4.4 make any mention of this patch.
Apple support says that there's no preference for this setting and we've just got to live with it now.
This is so irritating! I've got my Skype ring tone, she's got hers, and we'd hear it ringing and know who it was for no matter who was logged in. Now that functionality is busted, and when one of us is logged in the other misses all the calls, and if one of my kids is logged in then both of us miss our calls! I can't believe Apple considers this "bug" to be "fixed".
There's got to be a way around this; maybe by using the "defaults write" command or something? That command sets a lot of preferences that Apple claims are not user-settable.

How add buttons to Jframe from other class

Your null pointer exception is occuring because, in your Butt() constructor, you are calling mywindow.add(b1), but you don't set mywindow until after you call the constructor in the MyWindow::Buttons() method.
And, if you try to create a new MyWindow() in your Butt() constructor, and, assuming that you are calling the MyWindow::Window(String s) method from the MyWindow() constructor (which is not clear from the code fragment you posted), then Butt() calls new MyWindow() which calls Window(String s) which calls Butt() which calls ... and so on, until the stack overflows.
One possible solution ... pass your MyWindow reference into your Butt() constructor as this, as so:

   // stuff deleted

Butt( MyWindow mw )
   // stuff deleted

Delete scroller from other class

Hi.
I have FlashSite class where after clicking to button i see page with text and with scroll.
If i click to 'close' button i want removeChild this page, text and scroll.
But for scroll i use code from other class. (i insert this class like: import classes.Scroller.*;)
So, how i can remove this scroller?

Hi, I have problem from set any JComponent (JButton,JTable, etc.)
in class from other class.
I have class A. In class I have JButton and JTable. In this class I have function, in that are I create new instance class B. Class B have function, that are set properties any item in class A.

Accesing from other classes to protected void

Hy! I'm a newbie to java programming. So i am making a program in J2ME, and the problem is :
I have an abstract class, wich i must extend. That class defines a procedure
abstract protected void destroyApp(boolean unconditional), so in my extended class this void is protected. But i want to access to this procedure from other class, and do it somehow static.
I have made a main program class (the extended class), and i want to send from other class a destroy message to it (to call destroyApp procedure).

It's not clear what you mean by "object of class". Do you mean fields within an object. Do you mean using an object of one class within the code of another?
For most named objectes in java, whether field, method or class, there are four levels of access.
public means accessible from anywhere in the program
private means accessible only from the same source file.
protected means only from the class, or a class that extends it.
or if you don't put any of these keywords it means accessible only from the same package, that is set of source files in a single directory.

Method not accessible from other classes

I ve defined a class and would like to create an instance of it from another class. That works fine, I am also able to access class variables. However the class method "calcul" which is defined as following, is not accessible from other classes:

calcul is a static method, that means you do not need an instance of server to run this method. This method is also public, but your class Server is not, your Server class is package protected. So only classes within the same package has Server can use its method. How to use the calcul method?// somewhere in the same package as the Server class

how do I update the jtextfield so that it could up make accessible by other class and continuously updated to reflect the input for value rom another class2.

I have attempted with the following coding , test 1 the source display generated using Netbeans GUI , t est2 the worker code ,and mybean the bean , so far nothing seems to work .
I have not try the threaded swing concept as I am not familar with the concurrency but i am not sure whether propertylistener will do the job or not

Where do I find output from verbose:class?

I want to find out where a class is being loaded from. So, using the config tool, I have added "-verbose:class" to the server's Java parameters and restarted. However, I cannot find the logging file that contains the expected output from enabling this option. What file do I look in? It's not in server0/log/defaultTrace.trc nor server0/kernel/classload/default.trc.

How to capture graphical outputs from other programs

Does anyone know how we capture the graphical outputs from the other programs and show them
on the swing?
I'd like to use a java program to run gnuplot, capture the outputs, and show them using swing.

Depends on what you mean by "graphic outputs".
Taking a quick glance at the gnuplot homepage, it looks as if you can output to PNG files, so just run the app, and load the png file.

Flash Vars is not working when we accessing from other class files

Hi all, I'm currently developing a flex application where i
need to pass the data from the flash vars to the other class files
instead of the main actionscript class file.
Does any body know how i should go about doing that?? you can
