Application adding '\' to the group filter

Hi,
We have two groups created in Oracle Internet Directory server.here are the details
cn=user_group_1,cn=organisation,cn=groups,dc=oracle,dc=com
cn=user_group_2,cn=organisation,cn=groups,dc=oracle,dc=com
we are using the below configurations from our portal to pull the users from the above two groups,but we couldn't do that.
Group Path = cn=organisation,cn=groups,dc=oracle,dc=com
Group scope = SUB_TREE
Group Filter = (cn=user_*)
I am getting an error with above configurations and error message saying that "Please make sure Group path is correct".But the Group path is correct.Our LDAP admin said that my portal itself adding '\' to the group filter.
Below is the request comes to LDAP server.
ldapsearch -h ldap_server_name -p 636 -U 1 -b "cn=organisation,cn=groups,dc=oracle,dc=com" "(&(objectclass=groupofuniquenames)(cn=user\_*))"
Please let us know how can i remove this '\' at portal level (or) how can i handle at LDAP server level.

It seems that it is not allowing _ .
Whenever some special characters comes then it add \ in front of it.
It happens in OIM but that is Java so we can handle.

When downloading pdf files the acrobat reader is not in the group of "Choose Helper Application" programs.

No matter what I try I can never get the Acrobat Reader to be added to the group of "Choose Helper Application" programs available in that window when downloading a pdf. I always have to browse to the Acrobat reader and select it that way.
I have enabled Acrobat in the add-ons manager, but that has not solved the problem.
In the options > applications menu I've selected use Acrobat Reader for pdf files but that doesn't work and furthermore doesn't seem to stick. That is, sometimes when I check that menu later the selection has reverted to "always ask".
I'm using Firefox 32 on Windows 7. I have used Firefox on XP for years and never had this problem.

New field (Customer group 5) to be added to the Catalog for Pricing.

For the creation of a new Condition table, I require the field, KNVV-KVGR5 i.e Customer group 5 field present in Sales area data ->Extras -> Additional data in Customer master to be added to the Catalog of allowed fields since this field does not exist anywhere.
I have already gone thru the threads available on adding New field for Pricing which has an example/detailed explanation with the Item category (PSTYVV) field.
But the field I want i.e KNVV-KVGR5, is a part of Master data, so please guide me with the steps to follow to add this field in the field catalog and hence use it for creation of a new condition table.
1) Should i add this field in KOMP (i.e item) or KOMK ( i.e Header) or KOMG?
2) Should i include it in KOMKAZ or KOMPAZ?
3) Should i create this field as data element or structure and what should be the domain used?
4) For the value flow, should i use the Item -level user-exits or Header level mentioned in other threads?
Please guide for the same urgently.

I was finally able to create a new field for Cust.grp.5 i.e ZZKVGR5 and added to Catalog to be used for Pricing.
Then i faced a peculiar issue as below:
For the business requirement, we defined a new tax condition table for determination of tax rates. For this, we are using both standard and custom fields to derive the correct tax rates in sales/billing documents like below
A859: Country/Distr. Chl/Cust.grp.5/Material (Here Customer.grp 5 was added following the SAP Note: 531835)
The field was inserted in the communication structure KOMKAZ which is included in both KOMK and KOMP.
During the document processing, the pricing analysis view shows no value in the customer grp 5 field, though it is maintained for the customer used in the sales order. The code has been written in MV45 and RV60 both as guided in SAP Note: 531835. But the values are not flowing.
Solved the above problem as below:
M posting the answer to help the community for similar issue.
Also, the new field tat i had added was Customer Grp 5 field of Customer master ->Extras->Additional field and I wanted the value to flow in the ZZKVGR5 field before the Pricing for the sales order was called.
After trying all, we have finally fetched the value from KNVV-KVGR5 and got it moved to ZZKVGR5 field through ABAP coding.
After this when i select/click on Pricing for a particular item, it gets picked up correctly and properly.

Added webutil object group with JDAPI - adjust the webutil block sequence ?

Hi all,
I'm using the JDAPI to subclass in the webutil object group into Forms in an application. Annoyingly, the webutil block becomes the first block on the Form - which means on some Forms it displays on startup. Is there anyway (programmatically using JDAPI) that I can move the block the end of the block list after I've subclassed in the object group ?

Reorders an object with respect to its siblings in the collection it belongs to. This is similar to using drag and drop in Form Builder to move a block in a list. This method represents a way to do the same thing programmatically. For example, if you want a block appear immediately before Block5 in a list, you pass the object representing Block5 as the nextObject argument.
Pass null to this method to move the object to the end of the list. If the specified object and the next_object do not share the same owner, or do not have the same type, the method throws an exception.
You cannot use this method to move objects between parents. For example, it cannot be used to move an Item from one Block to another. If you want to move an object from one parent to another you will have to do something like:

When is the entire function group added to the transport request

When you modify a functionmodule in a function group, only the object of the functionmodule( LIMU FUNC) is added to the transport request.
When you modify an include of the function group, the reportsource of that include (LIMU REPS) is added to the transport request.
But under some circumstances the entire function group is added to the transport request (R3TR FUGR).
Can somebody clarify under what circumstances the entire Function Group is added to the transport request?

I was actually looking for the reason why I would find R3TR FUGR objects in requests for existing function groups.
What I found out is that R3TR FUGR is added to the request when :
- the function group is created
- a function is renamed
- the function group is deleted
- you choose : Write Transport Entry, in the context menu of the Function group.
The actual problem was that in our upgraded system (ERP2005) we had a transport containing the function group (R3TR FUGR) and we thought none of these actions had been taken. After talking to the developer in question, I found out he did rename a function module, so I have my solution.

I just completed the upgrade of a system from 2005 to 2007.
But when trying to create a new user, i've got this message :
-> a user was added outside the application. Delete it, or perform "Restore Numbering"
Do you have any idea on the way to overtake this message ?

Adding a chart for each group in ssrs not below are above the group in group footer or header. but side of the table data

If I understand correctly, you have already added a chart in group footer, and you want to display the chart on the right side of the cell. If I have misunderstood, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, if we directly add a chart into a cell, the chart will fill all of the space in the cell. So in order to achieve your requirement, we can insert this chart into a rectangle, then add the rectangle to the group footer. If we want to
display the chart on the right side, we can directly drag the chat to the right of the rectangle.
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

SPContext.Current.Web.CurrentUser.OwnedGroups not incling the Groups where the user added throgh AD groups.

i am facing a strange problem. i am having a sharepoint group ( i.e. SP1). inside
SP1 grops i have added one AD group (i.e. AD1). when try to findout the Current user groups it not including this. However if addd the user directly to SP1 then it show the groups.
I use below code to find out the groups.

SPUser.OwnedGroups property returns a group of
SPGroup objects that the SPUser owns.
When AD users or AD groups added in a SharePoint group, both will be seen as SharePoint user objects. That means “AD1” is only a SPUser object, not a “group”, there
is not a collection of SPUser objects in this SPUser object(AD1).
Therefore, the AD users added in the AD group will not belong to a SPGroup, though they have the permissions given through this SPGroup.

Added user to SharePoint Group -- Not inheriting the groups rights

Hello,
I created a SharePoint 2013 Workflow, where a subsite is being created and after that, the workflow will create a Group with "full control" rights on the subsite. At the end, I add the workflow Initiator to the group. All is done by the REST Api
like declared in many tutorials.
Everything is working fine so far, I can Access the site, the group is there with correct privileges and it contains the desired user I am adding with the workflow.
The strange Thing happens, when I try to surf on the site with that user from the group, because he has no rights at all. Even with the "check permissions" under the Website Settings, there is no permission listed.
Can anyone explain this to me? It feels like a bug for me, or did I Forget to make something like an "update" command after adding the user?

I haven't seen this with SharePoint groups, but have seen similar behavior with AD groups. With AD groups its a problem associated with the claims token timeouts. The solution there was to decrease the timeout for the claims token or wait 24
hours for the token to timeout. I suggest waiting a day to see if the user shows up in Check permissions tomorrow.

Adding the group SAP_J2EE_ADMIN to one user

Hi everybody. I have NW2004s Enterprise Portal and I have some users that need this group to manager some things. But when I try to add the group SAP_J2EE_ADMIN to one user, appears the message: User attributes successfully modified. You are not authorized to assign one or more entities. Perform a new assigned entities search to see the correct status. Everybody can help me? Thanks a lot.

It is clear that your UME is on ABAP stack , if you have to assign any group to a user then it has to be done through ABAP

Please wait for the group policy client - shutting down issues

Hi
I have issues with shutting down machines. When machine is connected to company's LAN everything works fine. However, if machine is connected to VPN - Juniper NC - 1 hour or more it always hangs when it is shutting down. When I shut down the machine
(verbose mode on), first stage is:
Please wait for the system Event Notification service.
This ends exactly
after 3 minutes. Next stage:
Please wait for the group policy client windows 7
...is never timed out (even after few hours). Machine never shuts down.
In Application logs there are always these 4 events when machine is unsuccessfully shutting down:
6005: The winlogon notification subscriber <Sens> is taking long time to handle the notification event (Logoff).
4627: The COM+ Event System timed out attempting to fire the Logoff method on event class {D5978650-5B9F-11D1-8DD2-00AA004ABD5E} for publisher and subscriber . The subscriber failed to respond within 180 seconds.
The display name of the subscription is "ISensLogon2". The HRESULT was 80010002.
6006: The winlogon notification subscriber <Sens> took 180 second(s) to handle the notification event (Logoff).
6005: The winlogon notification subscriber <GPClient> is taking long time to handle the notification event (Logoff).
Sens is timed out after 3 minutes while there is no 6006 event for GPClient and machine is stuck there for ages (Please wait for the group policy client
stage). I noticed in System logs that machine always hangs if there is this error
5783: The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller \\server for the domain X is not responsive. The current RPC call from Netlogon on \\machine to \\server has been cancelled.
I made a group policy log and below you can see part of GPSVC log when machine is unsuccessfully shutting down:

I tried with signing out from VPN before shutting down machine, I even switched off WiFi but machine still hung. If i tried to get GP results before shutting down machine it takes ages and it is stuck in "Getting the user name" stage.
Gpupdate /force never updates policy (It stops at Updating Policy...). I tired with installing different hotfixes which did not resolve the issue. I never have any
issues with logging in, no GP scripts are applied when user is logging off or on, no roaming profiles. The only issue is when machine needs to be shut down.
I excluded 1 machine from GP and left it on VPN for a few hours, several times. It always shuts down successfully. I applied GP back one by one and the one which is presumably causing an issue is Avecto which adds admin rights when VPN application

I guess there is a DNS issues when machine is on VPN which leads that GP cannot be applied / updated. Not sure if or why Avecto would have an impact on this. When machine is trying to shut down it still somehow thinks it is connected to DC. What
I also noticed are several explorer crashes while machine is on VPN.
Does anyone have same issues? All machines are Dell with Juniper NC (VPN).

According to event log, Winlogon process takes a long time to handle logoff event. That's to say winlogon process is waiting for response to logoff.
According to your description after, this problem is most probably caused by Avecto. You can try to disable or uninstall it temporarily for test.
To make further troubleshoot with this problem, you can try to use WPT (Windows Performance Tool) to make troubleshoot.

Windows Deployment Services 2012 - Driver Group filter by Model value not working - Drivers are not installed!

I'm using Windows Deployment Services 2012 to deploy Windows 7 Pro x64 driverless images to different hardware models (drivers are injected using WDS). I already have organized the drivers in driver groups per
hardware model. I'm experiencing driver conflicts so I decided to start using driver group filters to make sure that the driver groups are available only available for the corresponding hardware model.
To get the correct values for the filters i have used the following method: (as described in this article: http:// technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd759191.aspx)
so I checked msinfo32.exe
(System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. System Model: OptiPlex 790)
and set these values in the driver group filter:
Then fired up WDS using PXE booting on my OptiPlex but when finished: No drivers are installed! I investigated further and found on forums to use the following commands (which return the same values btw):
wmic bios get manufacturer
(returns: Dell Inc.)
wmic computersystem get manufacturer
(returns: Dell Inc.)
wmic computersystem get model
(returns: OptiPlex 790)
Values are the same so no problem there.
Then I checked the output of the following commands:
wmic bios get model (returned: error, invalid query)
wmic bios get /all (returned: all kind of information but no model value)
When I remove the value "OptiPlex 790" from the filter list the drivers are installed correctly. So this has to be some problem with the Model value.
Could someone please help me?
As a workaround I now disable all the driver groups exept the one that I need for the hardware. But as more new hardware models are added this is a lot of work to do everytime.
Extra info:
I'm using a WINPE 4.0 image (windows 7 media boot.wim file). 6.1.7.601
Windows Server version: Windows Server 2012 - version 6.2 (Build 9200) - All Windows updates are installed
Windows Deployment Services version 6.2.9200.16384
Having this problem on multiple systems
Questions:
- Does WDS/WinPE uses only the Bios values for determining system info? (then this problem could be with Dell in this example, because no model value is available)
- Is this the correct way to set up driver group filters? (then this is a problem with MS. Does anyone have solution??)
