Applying OIM Connector Patches
I currently have OIM 9.1 with connector version 9.0.4.1 and what to apply connector patch 7017816 to correct an issue with the AD password sync loop issue. Are there any special instructions somewhere on how to apply the patch? If I attempt to install the patch following the connector instructions on a initial install the patch breaks several adapters causing them to no longer compile.
I have seen similar issues on rare instances but neither I nor Oracle OIM support has ever been able to figure out what is causing it.
What I usually do is to delete the generated source code and then ask for a recompile in the design client This causes the source code to be regenerated which hopefully will resolve your problem.
Hope this helps

I need to apply a connector patch for AD connector. I know the patch id also. Please let me know the steps for downloading this patch and applying it to the existing connector.
Edited by: 955932 on Oct 10, 2012 11:10 PMYou must have Oracle customer support identifier to login oracle support for patch download
If you have support identifier and knowing the patch ID, login into the Oracle support :

Finally download it from Patches section
readme will be having all the required step for patch installation. -
AD Connector Patch 11.1.1.5.0A (AD connector patch 14190610)
hi all,
I am having OIM 11gR2 (11.1.2.0).
I have a confusion about applying patch for AD connector 11.1.1.5.0.
I need to know that in the Patch download zip file (AD connector patch 14190610) there are many folders that are same as available in AD connector 11.1.5.0, in the read me file for this patch there is no mentioning of what to do with the rest of the folders, its only saying
*"1)On the Target where connector server is Installed.*
*Unzip the content of the bundle ActiveDirectory.Connector-1.1.0.6380.zip to the folder where Connector server is installed."*
on the connector download page
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/id-mgmt/downloads/connectors-101674.html
for AD connector mentioned is that
*"Please apply AD connector patch 14190610 after downloading from MOS (My Oracle Support) if you are using this connector against OIM 11.1.2.0 or above."*
So it means that its a patch only not the full connector so then what is the use of the rest of the folders (configuration, dataset, owglue, resources, upgrade, xml) provided in that patch zip file other then the "bundle ActiveDirectory.Connector-1.1.0.6380.zip"
Do we need to run the "Upgrade Connector" after the installation of Connector 11.1.1.5.0 ?
any comments
Thanks...Hi,
Even I couldn't find one, so I guess there isn't one. So, what I did was install new connector server in the same windows box running on different port and switched the OIM configuration to use it. My environment is running fine after this change.

Windows 2000 connector Patch issue (Patch ID: 8318738)
Hi,
We have applied the latest Windows 2000 connector Patch on our DEV environment.
While trying to provision the Windows resource (the user’s home network shared folder), effectively there is some permissions issue that is encountered while executing in the DLL and it effectively causes some page fault that prompts the OS to kill the process and the OC4J instance is restarted.

Any Help on this Issue? -
Need advice: Accidentally applied the same patch twice
So I fumbled with my 10 PuTTy sessions and accidentally typed opatch apply in server that I had already patched. It asked me if the system was ready for patching and I hit "yes". It started "Updating" some files and in a bit of a panic I probably did exactly what I shouldn't have done... pressed ctrl+c to break the process. Should I be at all concerned? Should I...
- Reapply the patch (it doesn't do anything else but update more files)?
-Take the "updated files" from another recently patched environment and overwrite them in this one?
- Rollback the patch and reapply it?
- Leave it?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I actually ended up just doing an opatch rollback -id <Patch ID> followed by another opatch apply for that patch. Nothing seems to have gone wrong. I was worried earlier because I checked the md5 digest of some of the files and none of them matched up between environments with equal patch levels. -

I am upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 and am trying to understand what is needed for step 12, page 3-5 of the R12 upgrade document (Part No. E16342-04), "Apply latest product patches".
I have searched around and there seem to be multiple methods, all of which seem a bit ambiguous.
I have downloaded and run the patchsets.sh script. Can I use that to get an answer for this step?
Thanks, Chazuser11988333 wrote:

Hi hussein,
EBS 11i
RHEL 4.6
I want to appy the latest Dev 6i patch 19 on our EBS 11i, using the note:
Upgrading Developer 6i with Oracle Applications 11i [ID 125767.1]The notes said:
Step 2: Download the latest Certified Developer 6i Patchset and Applications Interoperability Patch
Patch 6194129
Patch 9935935
I can not understand this conflicts of CPU patches mentioned above :(
Do I just apply the following patches on my linux server?

5232832,
8888184,

So all in all, I have to apply 10 patches to complete the task?
Thanks a lot,
Ms IndayThanks hussein, helios :)
Actually,
Apply Developer 6i Patch set 19 (6194129) for EBS 11i is just part of the main note/docs which is

Applying a unified patch...
Hi,
Assume that there are 3 database servers but one only database and 4 application servers which host the concurrent managers, forms server, web server (each one of the 4 server).
Also assume that the patch 6502082 needs to be applied to the whole system as described above....
My questions:
1)Since this patch contain multiple .sql files needs to be applied to the database server(s). Because the database is only one , this patch should be applied just once on a database server...Shouldn't it??? I think it should... Also ,Does it have to be applied afterwards the apply to the applications servers (after the 'c' ('copy part') of the patch ) according to the Metalink Note: 181665.1 and EBS-eDoc.
2) The same patch should be applied four times on each application server (each one with an identical APPL_TOP dir)...shouldn't it??? I think it should...
3) According to the Metalink Note: 181665.1 , regarding the four well-known questions :
Do you currently have files used for installing or upgrading the database
installed in this $APPL_TOP [Yes] ?
Do you currently have Java and HTML files for Self-Service Applications
installed in this $APPL_TOP [Yes] ?
Do you currently have Oracle Applications forms files installed
in this $APPL_TOP [Yes] ?
Do you currently have concurrent program files
installed in this $APPL_TOP [Yes] ?
The answers should be for the db server Y, N, N, N.
while for each of the apply to the application servers N, Y, Y, Y.
4) Because the patch has an NLS patch as well , which must be applied but does not have any .sql file only an .ldt file ( some rows in the table FND_NEW_MESSAGES will be inserted) and a form file and htm file the order should be the same as for the base lang...shouln't it??? I mean first to the appl. servers and then to the db server(just once) .
Note: I use EBS 11.5.10
Thank you
SimSim,
Assume that there are 3 database servers but one only database and 4 application servers which host the concurrent managers, forms server, web server (each one of the 4 server). What do you mean by 3 database servers? Is this RAC? Or it is 3 different database?
1)Since this patch contain multiple .sql files needs to be applied to the database server(s). Because the database is only one , this patch should be applied just once on a database server...Shouldn't it??? I think it should... Also ,Does it have to be applied afterwards the apply to the applications servers (after the 'c' ('copy part') of the patch ) according to the Metalink Note: 181665.1 and EBS-eDoc.Apply the patch on the admin server (in other words, if you have APPL_TOP on the database server, apply it on this node first), then apply it on each application server (on each node APPL_TOP is presented).
2) The same patch should be applied four times on each application server (each one with an identical APPL_TOP dir)...shouldn't it??? I think it should...Correct.

Do you currently have concurrent program files
installed in this $APPL_TOP [Yes] ?
The answers should be for the db server Y, N, N, N.
while for each of the apply to the application servers N, Y, Y, Y.Depends on what components you have on each node (for example, if you have CM installed on the same database node, answer Yes for the CM question).
Please note if you have the database installed on one server and NO other application components are running on this node, then you do not need to apply the patch on this server (i.e. if no APPL_TOP is presented on database server, then adpatch should NOT be applied on this node).
4) Because the patch has an NLS patch as well , which must be applied but does not have any .sql file only an .ldt file ( some rows in the table FND_NEW_MESSAGES will be inserted) and a form file and htm file the order should be the same as for the base lang...shouln't it??? I mean first to the appl. servers and then to the db server(just once) .Apply the NLS patch in the same order you follow to apply the base language patch.

Problem when apply SAP Bundle Patch for 10.2.0.5
Hi,
We are trying to apply SAP Bundle Patch (SBP) SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip and SAP_102052_201103_SOL64.zip using MOPatch utility. Both MOPatch and OPatch utility have been updated with the latest download from SAP. When applying patch for SAP_102052_201102, most patches went through except for one patch that requires OPatch to be version 10.2.0.5.0. The OPatch version downloaded from SAP is 10.2.0.4.9. Even the OPatch delievered together in the SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip file is 10.2.0.4.9.
Below are extract of the opatch log file for this patch:

LimHi,
I went to
http://service.sap.com/oracle-download
then
Oracle 10.2.0.5
then
OPatch
The file I can see there is generic for ALL operating systems and the name is:
OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip
it seems that the version is 10.2.0.5, not 10.2.0.4.9 as you mentioned.
I have downladed it and look at the README:
Patch summary:
README file for OPatch 10.2.0.5.0, the Oracle Interim Patching Tool.
I'm not installing it, but it seems that the version is not the same as yours.
Is this the one you have downloaded?
Have you installed it properly? => may be you are running an older one -

Did you try to change the schema prefix or name and see how it goes into this first node? Did you check is this first node don't have any warning from system requirements procedures before click next?
I hope this helps,

Error installing OIM Connector for DB User Management
Hi!
I'm a newbie in OIM and trying to set up a lab environment for user provisioning and reconciliation.
I have installed: WebLogic 10.3.3; OIM 11.1.1.3; Oracle Database 11g 11.2.0.1.0
In order to configure the OIM connector for DB User Management, I am following the OIM Connector Guide for Database User Management (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e28315/deploy.htm#CHDHAJCA) for the installation steps:
In the Step 2: Connector Installation the Import of Connector XML Files is failing. The error displayed is:
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Duplicate OUG
I found these error messages from the STDOUT of the OIM Server:
<Error> <XELLERATE.DATABASE> <BEA-000000> <Class/Method: tcDataBase/writeStatement encounter some problems: ORA-00001: unique constraint (DEV_OIM.PK_OUG) violated
<Error> <XELLERATE.DDM.IMPORT> <BEA-000000> <Insert failed.>
<Error> <XELLERATE.DDM.IMPORT> <BEA-000000> <Exception during import
com.thortech.xl.ddm.exception.DDMException: Duplicate OUG
Can you please help me in solving this issue?
Much thanks in advance.
Edited by: user769080 on Jun 27, 2012 12:35 AMTry to research into these tables OUG(List to define the administrators for each Resource Resource) , obj and ugp.
Something like this:
select obj.obj_name, oug.oug_write,oug.oug_delete,oug.oug_data_level,ugp.ugp_name from obj,oug,ugp where obj.obj_key=oug.obj_key and oug.ugp_key=ugp.ugp_key
PK_OUG is a unique key that control (oug.obj_key and oug.ugp_key) together into OUG table. So, if you already have this information that it's trying to insert you will see this error. Probably because of a previous installation. Check CIH table if it already have some information about this connector, probably someone already tried to install this before.
I hope this helps,

Does OIM Connector for Lotus Notes support Domino certification authority?
Lotus Notes allows an Organization to register servers and users without stamping each server ID and user ID if you have migrated the certifier to a Domino server-based certification authority (CA).
A Customer has done such a migration to a server-based certification authority (CA), and therefore they have set up Notes and Internet certifiers to use the CA process.
So, now this Customer does not require access to the certifier ID and ID password.
Having enabled certifiers for the CA process, they can now assign the registration authority role to administrators, who can then register users and manage certificate requests without having to provide the certifier ID and password.
My question is: is this compatible with the requirements of Oracle Identity Manager Connector for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino Release 9.0.4, that, among other parameters, requires to specify CertPath (Complete file specification of the certifier ID to be used when creating certifier ID files) and CertPwd (Password of the certifier ID file)?
Regards,
Angelo CarugatiI quite new with OIM, but not at all... For sure, I need to configure a connector for Lotus Notes / Domino.
The main points in my question are (USING A connector for Lotus Notes / Domino):
- How can I create 1 user account (and related data), on different servers (IT Resources), with different "mail templates", when the data should be the same, and the user mail database, should only be a replica on the the 2nd server
- Maybe, I need to configure 2 distincts IT Resources, and run both (through Provisioning Policies), when I need to provision a user, as described in my scenario (above), right?
- In the 2nd server, I dont want the user to be created with a new mail database (neither new user data, as shortName, IDfile... ).
I want that same data, and a replicated mail DB is generated on the 2nd server (webmail server)
Is it possible, how can I configure this within OIM connector for Lotus Notes / Domino?
