Applying the style classes

Hi,
I created the custom style class for applying to component e.g inputText.How i can add the style class without adding to each page using link. Is anywhere i can specify in the config file?

follow up question:
Is there a way to change the skin of a component INSTANCE and not all the components in that class?
i.e. I'm trying to change the header of a panelWinow. now, I know I can change the headers of ALL the panelWindow instances if I put this line in my css file:
af|panelWindow::header{background-image:url('/images/my_new_header.png');}
but I want different header images for each panelWindow instance in my app, i.e something like this:
panelWindow1::header{background-image:url('/images/my_new_header1.png');}
panelWindow2::header{background-image:url('/images/my_new_header2.png');}
panelWindow3::header{background-image:url('/images/my_new_header3.png');}
is that possible?
thanks much...

  • How to apply different styles to multiple spry collapsible panels?

    Hello every.
    I would really appreciate some help with this problem I am coming up against.
    I am creating a website which has multiple Spry collapsible panels in it. I applied the styles I wanted for the first Spry collapsible panel I did in the styles panel with no problems what so ever.
    However when I go to apply the styles I want for my second and every other Spry collapsible panel, when I applied the style I wanted it changed the first panel I did. I’ve tried giving all my collapsible panels different Div ID’s but no luck. I just can’t seem to apply different styles to each of my collapsible panels.
    Can someone please advise me how to do this?
    Thank you in advance for your help.
    Kind regards
    Elliot

    I've figured the most of it out.
    By giving the Spry Collapsible Panel that you want to style differently a separate ID and class and then duplicating the original Spry Collapsible Panel style in the CSS style panel on the right and renaming them the same name as the panel you want to style differently it will allow you to style it differently to all the other panels apart from the Hover.
    I've tried everything! Below is the code I'm using for the two Collapsible Panels I want to style Differently.
    I only want to have different Tab backgrounds and Hover backgrounds
    1st Spry CollapsiblePanel
    Code:
    <div id="CollapsiblePanel1" class="CollapsiblePanel">
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelTab" tabindex="0">Tab</div>
        <div class="CollapsiblePanelContent">Content</div>
    CSS Style
    .CollapsiblePanelTab
    .CollapsiblePanelTabHover, .CollapsiblePanelOpen .CollapsiblePanelTabHover
    2nd Spry CollapsiblePanel
    Code:
    <div id="CollapsiblePanel2" class="CollapsiblePanel2">
      <div class="CollapsiblePanel2Tab" tabindex="0">Tab</div>
      <div class="CollapsiblePanel2Content">Content</div>
    </div>
    .CollapsiblePanel2Tab
    .CollapsiblePanel2TabHover, .CollapsiblePanelOpen .CollapsiblePanel2TabHover
    As I said the Tab works both I have two seperate background images for the Tabs but I can only seem to have one background for the hover.
    Has anyone any ideas on how to get around this?
    Kind regards

  • OpenerLink - url ends with ampersand.  can't use style class...

    hello. i am using openerLink to link to communities. i also want to apply a style class to the link text. however the url that is generated ends with an ampersand. consequently, it ignores the style class. the href is shown below.
    href="http://hera:8080/portal/server.pt?space=Opener&control=OpenObject&cached=true&parentname=Gateway&parentid=None&in_hi_ClassID=512&in_hi_userid=2&in_hi_ObjectID=209&in_hi_OpenerMode=2&" class="bulletTextLink2" border="0"
    when i remove the ampersand, it works perfectly (it uses the style).
    what is the solution? obviously i don't have direct control over the generation of the href. can i append something to the url so that it doesn't end in an ampersand?
    thanks

    The message above was posted by me two years ago and was brought to my attention today. Here's a short update: The network team added a load balancer mdaoid in front of, and resolved to, mdaoid1 and mdaoid2 (in round-robin fashion). The problem described in this thread is bypassed because the JDBC URL can simply use one-OID format, in which mdaoid is used as the LDAP server.

  • FIND/CHANGE - Applying Paragraph Style

    Hello,
    I used FIND/CHANGE to apply my paragraph style and when I apply the paragraph style... it applies the style to the entire line.
    For example,
    A. #70712       resulted to         A. #70712
    I only wanted the "#70712" to be changed to my style. I used the GREP search and entered #.+ and then I choose the paragraph style I want and clicked change all. The problem is that it changed all the text on that line and applied the paragraph style.
    Please help. Thank you very much.

    If I understand your request correctly:
    If your paragraph style uses a numbered list to create the "A." and the remainder of the paragraph consists of only "# 70712" that you type in manually (or place from an existing file), I believe that you you don't need GREP. You can format the auto-numbered list differently from the remainder of its paragraph, by specifying a character style for the number portion.
    To extract only the non-numbered portion of an auto-numbered paragraph, for a TOC, in the Table of Contents dialog box, open the bottom part by clicking More Options if necessary, and in the Numbered Paragraphs pull-down menu, select Exclude Numbers.
    Read more about Table of Contents in Help, and/or with a Google search for terms like "InDesign table of contents numbered list exclude numbers" without quotes.
    If you need additional special formatting "tricks" in the source paragraphs, or in the TOC entry paragraphs, look into Nested Styles and GREP
    Styles in Help or Google searches.

  • How to apply CSS style values to h:messages ?

    Hi Folks,
    I'm quite new to JSF development. What I'm currently trying to do, is to apply a CSS style for a <h:messages> tag:
    <h:messages globalOnly="true" style="color: red;" layout="table" />Unfortunately the style "color: red;" is not being applied to the generated HTML table (or list):
    <table>
       <tr>
          <td>My Error Message!</td>
       </tr>
    </table>But I assume the generated HTML should rather look something like this:
    <table style="color: red;">
       <tr>
          <td>My Error Message!</td>
       </tr>
    </table>I'm using MyFaces 1.1.3 with Tomcat 5.5. Is this maybe a bug in MyFaces?
    Salute

    We speak HTML here.
    Let's see what you have tried so far, please.

  • Applying a style in RoboHelp 7

    I have a style called cmdname and I created a definition in my style sheet for this style:
    cmdname {
    font-size: 11pt;
    font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    font-variant: small-caps;
    I applied the style sheet to all of my topics, but the style is not "active" for the words that are marked as cmdname. How can I make this happen without changing each cmdname individually?
    Thanks,

  • [IDCS2] Trouble applying object styles

    I'm trying to apply an object style to a page item but I'm not having any success.<br /><br />I'm using IObjectStylesFacade::ApplyObjectStyleToUIDList to apply the style. <br />The style UID is coming from the IStyleNameTable/IID_IOBJECTSTYLENAMETABLE in the doc workspace using FindByName, the UIDList argument contains a kMultiColumnItemBoss (I needed to navigate down from a kSplineItemBoss to get it... this seems legitimate from the layout chapter in the docs), and I'm getting the K2Vector<ClassID> of categories from IObjStylesAttrCategoriesList::GetApplyCategories (I've tried an empty list as well).<br /><br />ApplyObjectStyleToUIDList returns with kSuccess, but the page item always ends up with the style "None". I've tried a few other things (mostly regarding which page item is passed through the UIDList) but nothing has changed. Is there anything clearly wrong with my approach? I'm doing the same thing in CS3 and haven't had any problems, strangely.

    It looks like I was attempting to apply the style to a kMultiColumnItemBoss. The target should be a kSplineItemBoss. I thought I was doing this originally, but I must've been mistaken since it's working now with that change.

  • Applying paragraph style to a single paragraph affects all previous paragraphs

    Hey,
    I'm trying to create a script that would take an array of text objects that describe what the text and style of a particular line of text is. And in some lines to apply Character Styles as well.
    The problem is that, while the script works when the loop is in the character styles "mode", it seems to apply the paragraph styles to all the previous lines of text when the aforementioned object asks it to apply only the paragraph style (no character styles).
    The offending line is this:
    if ( typeof line.text == 'string' ) {
        frame.contents += "\r" + line.text;
        frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].appliedCharacterStyle = doc.characterStyles[0];
        frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].applyParagraphStyle(style);
        continue;
    I even copied the style-apllying lines from the Character-Styles-applying section of the script (the else part), but it still applies the style to all the previous lines of text. The script below is the full code I have I long with one of the objects that text data. If I comment out the "offending lines" mentioned above, the script applyes all the styles correctly. Otherwise, only the last line (the Product - Description style) is applied, while all the previous lines attain the 'Spacer' style.
    Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? (sorry for the giant piece of code, but I can't pin-point what's not relevant here).
        'text': [
                'style': 'Product - Title No Indent',
                'text': [
                    'Test Product',
                        'style': 'Superscript',
                        'text': '®'
                    ' Title'
            { 'style': 'Spacer', 'text': ' x' },
            { 'style': 'Spacer', 'text': ' x' },
            { 'style': 'Spacer', 'text': ' x' },
                'style': 'Product - Description',
                'text': ['Designed for monitoring steam sterilization processes.']
    function add_text_to_frame (frame, product) {
        var i, l, j, k, line, style, line_styles, char_style, line_text, bit;
        for ( i = 0, l = product.text.length; i < l; i++ ) {
            line = product.text[i];
            style = doc.paragraphStyles.item( line.style );
            if ( typeof line.text == 'string' ) {
                frame.contents += "\r" + line.text;
                frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].appliedCharacterStyle = doc.characterStyles[0];
                frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].applyParagraphStyle(style);
                continue;
            else {
                line_styles = new Array();
                line_text = '';
                for ( j = 0, k = line.text.length; j < k; j++ ) {
                    bit = line.text[j];
                    if ( typeof bit == 'string' ) {
                        line_text += bit;
                    else {
                        line_styles.push({
                            'start': line_text.length,
                            'end': line_text.length + bit.text.length,
                            'style': bit.style
                        line_text += bit.text;
                frame.contents += "\r" + line_text;
                frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].appliedCharacterStyle = doc.characterStyles[0];
                frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].applyParagraphStyle(style);
                for ( j = 0, k = line_styles.length; j < k; j++ ) {
                    char_style = doc.characterStyles.item(line_styles[j].style);
                    frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].characters.itemByRange(
                        line_styles[j].start,
                        line_styles[j].end
                    ).applyCharacterStyle(char_style, true);

    Here's the shortest code with the problem I could come up with.... You can run it if you create two different default paragraph styles: 'Product - Description' and 'Product - Title No Indent';
    The problem is that the first line should have 'Product - Description' style, but it instead it gets 'Product - Title No Indent'.
    If I comment out one of the paragraphs, everything works fine. What's wrong?
    var doc = app.documents.add(),
        product, text_frame, i, l;
    product = {
        'text': [
                'style': 'Product - Description',
                'text': 'Designed for monitoring sterilization processes.'
                'style': 'Product - Title No Indent',
                'text': 'Designed for monitoring sterilization processes.'
                'style': 'Product - Description',
                'text': 'Designed for monitoring sterilization processes.'
    text_frame = doc.pages[0].textFrames.add();
    text_frame.geometricBounds = [ '0pt', '0pt', '240pt', '300pt'];
    for ( i = 0, l = product.text.length; i < l; i++ ) {
        text_frame.contents += "\r" + product.text[i].text;
        text_frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].appliedCharacterStyle = doc.characterStyles[0];
        text_frame.parentStory.paragraphs[-1].applyParagraphStyle(
            doc.paragraphStyles.item( product.text[i].style )

    That line is an ADF CSS selector.
    <font color="red">af|inputText</font>: with this selector you are accessing to any <af:inputText> component (this is not the final html <input/>, is a div/table/tr that contains the final <input/>)

    That option doesn't appear in the Slide effect panel. You need to edit the code inserted by Dreamweaver. Change this:
    function MM_effectSlide(targetElement, duration, from, to, toggle)
        Spry.Effect.DoSlide(targetElement, {duration: duration, from: from, to: to, toggle: toggle});

    function MM_effectSlide(targetElement, duration, from, to, toggle)

    Dreamweaver doesn't show all the options available for Spry. You often need to tweak the code manually.

    I'm new to this kind of thing, but understand that something called "cascading style sheets" can help here?
    What are these, how do you use them, and can you make different Portlets (all types - PL/SQL, Java, Applications, etc) on the same Portal page have different styles assigned?

    Apply Oracle Portal styles at the region level. Your portlets within each region will inherit the style defined for the region.

    This implies there is something broken in your FluidGrid Layout CSS file.   It  could be something simple like a missing semi-colon or curly bracket.   Run your code through the W3C validation tools below to check for errors.  NOTE:  ignore reported errors in boilerplate.css
