Approval of sap PO and PR bandwidth

Dear all,
we need to implement sap fiori in our landscape. And to implement we need to calculate the bandwidth.
we have 500 users will be approving total 2000 requests in a day.
1 user can approve 1 reqeust or can approve 20 request.
so please suggest us the process to calculate the bandwidth.
Thanks
Manohar.

A revision level, together with a change number, identifies a version of
     a material or document.
Procedure
You can assign a revision level if you use a change number that has a
specific valid-from date to make a change.
     Proceed as follows:
     o   Changing a Material
You can assign a revision level to a material when you process the
material master record itself, or you can enter a revision level in
the BOM header when you process a material BOM.
     o   Changing a Document
o   You define for each document type whether revision levels are active
for documents. Define a document status that has the released
indicator. As soon as you process a document of this document type
with a change number and assign this status, a revision level isassigned automatically.
Dependencies
Before you can assign a revision level, you must define the revision
level. From the main R/3 menu, choose Logistics -> Central functions ->
Engineering change management, then Revision level -> Material rev.
level or Revision level -> Document rev. level.
To define how revision levels are assigned, go to Customizing step Set
     up control data.

  • Establishing a connection between SAP SRM and MM

    Dear All,
I am working  for a multi-national company  and now we are thinking to implement SAP SRM  but I have some questions about  communication between SAP MM and SRM. Firstly I want  so share with you our as-is status and then my doubts and question that I have.
In our case we have two different locationed organizations which are using different version of SAP system and SAP MM. In this  two sap system mostly codes are  and descriptions are different for  all materials and  now we want  gather all data and we want to have  one global code system and (local code also will remain). I mean we want  to call same materials with one global unique code instead of two different codes. We  are thinking to implement  something like coding center that will take local master data from local organization then will assign global code, update table then  with somehow will update SAP SRM.
    For example:
We have local  master data on R/3 is maintained manually by local user and net item is created locally each country by local user.Coding center will be aware of new creation by mail, automatically. Coding center will update table (adding a new row for each new item) on translator (tool for assigning global code for materials) assign to each new item a global code and category and in this way SRM will be updated automatically based on translator.
I am thinking to develeop a tool (excel, access… etc.) that will take new item creation manually or auto from local organization  then will assign a global code and category then will update SAP SRM automatically
Regarding to  tool I have some questions:
    1)     which are the standard communication channel between R/3 and SRM or How  they can speak with each other ?
    2)     Is there any standart batch file (BI or BAPI)  to be able to perform this.Is it possible to develop tool using excel or access …etc. which will manage coding task.
    3)     When we are trasferring for the first time Master Data from MM to SRM is there any standard transaction?
    4)     how the two MD are aligned (i.e. what if a new item is created or modified on MM)?
    5)     standard program (transaction) for aligning  available ?
    6)     ) how this process can be triggered (scheduled using SAP scheduler, event or user driven)
    7)     Where the translator  (tool) should be (R/3 local, SRM, BW, other) --> Enrichment table
    8)     How we can build the communication transaction?
    Thank you very much
Any comments and answers will appreciated and rewarded
    Regards,

    Hi,
Have you considered using CCM. You generally use an industry standard code (perhaps UNSPSC) in CCM as your vendors would all have different number (similar to your scenario). CCM is a plug-in to SRM, supplied by SAP.
The authoring tool is where you can enrich your catalogue, and have approval dependant on rules that you setup. In your case you would possibly have a catalogue per locationed organisation (or R/3 system). These would then be mapped to a master catalogue, and assigned to users as views. This tool is a BSP on SRM. You could also upload these catalogues from Excel (as a CSV) or through XI as XML. We use the automatic transfer of materials from R3 and then there is a report in SRM to feed that through to the catalogue.
The only thing that needs to be thought through is how you feed the selected catalogue item back to the differing R3 systems, but this shouldn't be a stumbling point.
    Cheers

  • SAP Workflow and GRC 10.1 Workflow

    Hi all,
We are in the midst of upgrading our GRC system up to 10.1 and some questions are coming up about the workflows.  In short are GRC workflows and SAP workflows the "same thing", i.e. if someone outside of the upgrade project were to learn how to create/maintain workflows within GRC 10.1 would they be able to turn around and run the same transactions within an ECC 6.0 environment and create SAP Business workflows?  From what I have seen so far in my searching is that, they have the same basic principle but very different implementation/maintenance.
Any documentation that you are aware of from SAP showing this would be helpful as well.
    Thanks

The basic mechanism is the same, but the GRC workflows are more fixed (they leave less room for the workflow to be changed) have build in screens, and relay on the BRF engine to determine approvers etc.
Workflows in the ECC give you a lot more room for implanting the workflow however you wish (use a decision task, asynchronous tasks, develop your own custom approval screen etc.) and some time required you to implement changes to the workflow object (set a user status, release a document etc.) and don't usually use the BRF.
So I would have to say that the answer is no, someone who learned how to implement the GRC workflows will not be able to turn around and immediately create workflows in the ECC.

  • Offline Approval in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hello experts,
Requirement: Approvers should be able to approve SAP workitems from Outlook mailbox without directly logging into SAP.
From my searches in SDN, I understand that Extended Notification along with Single Sign On will take care of most of the requirement, except that the approvers still need to have SAP login credentials and they will actually be executing the SAP workitem from the shortcut in the Outlook email.
Although Extended Notification provides a number of advantages over RSWUWFML2 in terms of HTML support, Web UI Support, consolidation and forwarding of workitems and such; the core functionality is still the same i.e. providing SAP workitem shortcuts in an external email.
Is there any way, we can get actual offine approval functionality in ECC like it works in SRM? The following wiki describes the steps required.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Offlineapproval-generalconfiguration
This is not available in ECC but is there something similar?
Or can a similar functionality be developed on the ECC side?
Has anyone attempted some development on similar lines?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advices.

HI Could you please check the details below this all is present in the Basic settings guide which you could find in the SAP help portal
An alternative method of setting up mail via SMTP is described in SAP Note 455140.
As of SAP Web Application Server 6.10, the SAP system's kernel supports SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) directly, meaning that e-mails can be exchanged between the SAP system and any SMTP-compliant mail server without the need for any additional external components. In the outbound
direction, the SAP system passes the mails to a single mail server, whereas in the inbound direction mails can be received from any number of mail servers.
As of SAP Web Application Server 6.20, faxes and text messages (pager/ SMS) can also be exchanged via SMTP. For this purpose, the faxes and messages are packed into e-mails. For sending, the mail server refers to the domain of their recipients' addresses and forwards the e-mails either to an internal fax/text message server (for example, [email protected]), or to an external provider (for example, [email protected]). For receiving, the fax/text message server or provider sends e-mails to addresses with the SAP system's domain (for example, [email protected]).
    Prerequisites
The mail servers involved must be SMTP-compliant.
If you want to use text messaging in the SAP system, then you must define names for the messaging services to be used, such as SMS, with transaction SA14.
    Procedure
Setting the Profile Parameters (Transaction RZ10)
You must adapt the SAP Web Application Server’s profile if the SMTP functionality is to be used. The SAPconnect send job can only be scheduled for servers on which SMTP is active, so ideally you should activate SMTP on all of the SAP system’s application servers.
You must set the profile parameters below. The placeholder <*> stands for the sequence number (starting with zero) of parameters that occur several times.eicm/plugin_<*> = PROT=SMTP,PLG=<prog>
This loads the SMTP plug-in. It is a dynamic library that implements the SMTP protocol. <prog> specifies the file name of the SMTP plug-in.
The program is located in the execution directory of the SAP Web Application Server instance, has the name smtpplugin and the extension typical for your operating system (.so, .dll, and so on).eÈhTÙï icm/server_port_<*> = PROT=SMTP,PORT=<port>
This opens a TCP/IP port for the reception of mails by the SMTP plug-in. <port> specifies the number of the port that is to be used. This port must not be occupied by any other program on this host. If no mails (including status notifications) are to be received in this SAP system, you can set <port> to 0.
You can use TIMEOUT to define an optional maximum time (in seconds) that is to be waited for a response from the mail server.eÈhTÙï is/SMTP/virt_host_<*> = <host>:<port>,<port>,...
This defines a virtual mail host for the reception of mails. If all inbound mails (including status notifications) are to be received and processed in a single client of the SAP system, this parameter is not required and is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:*; is taken as the default. If several clients are to receive, a virtual mail host must be created for every client. <host> specifies the name of the host
to which inbound mails are addressed. You can specify * here if the mails are to be distributed independently of the host addressed. <port> specifies the number of a port to which inbound mails are addressed.
User Administration (Transaction SU01) You must create a service user to process the inbound mails in every SAP system client in which mails (or status notifications) are to be received. You use transaction SU01 to create a user of the type Service and assign the profile S_A.SCON to it
    Client Assignment (Transaction SICF)
Each SAP system client in which inbound mails (or status notifications) are to be received and processed must have an SMTP server. In transaction SICF, there should be one SMTP server (called SAPconnect) supplied in every SAP system. You use this one for the first client then create an additional SMTP server for each additional client. You make the following settings on the SMTP server
Host data -- You enter the sequence number of a parameter is/SMTP/virt_host_<*> from the profile. If you only have one client and therefore did not enter a parameter of this kind, you enter 0.
Service data-- You enter the client to which the mails received via this virtual mail host are to be forwarded, as well as the logon data of the system user created for inbound mails.
Handler list You enter CL_SMTP_EXT_SAPCONNECT as item 1.
    SCOT :
Default domain--- Under SettingsDefault Domain, you define the domain of this SAP system client. This is used for the following purposes
The SMTP plug-in logs on to the mail server using the domain as ID.0ˆN=?ü
The message ID of outbound e-mails is compiled with this domain.0ˆN=?ü
If an SAP user who has no Internet mail address maintained sends an e-mail, a sender address    composed of the SAP user name and this domain is generated
Node----There is always one SMTP node in each client. This node is created by the SAP system and cannot be deleted. To configure the node for sending Internet mail, you:
1.Ensure you are in the Node view.
    2.Double-click on the node name.
    3.Select Node in use.
4.Specify the mail server to which outbound mails are to be passed in Mail Host and Mail Port.
    5.Choose Set adjacent to Internet.
6.Specify the address areas of recipient addresses that are to be reached via this node. This is usually * if all e-mails are to be sent using SMTP.
7.Enter output formats for SAP documents. The following settings are recommended here:SAPscript/Smart FormsPDFABAP ListHTMBusiness Object/LinkHTMRAW TextTXT
    8.Confirm.
    Send job
E-mails sent from an SAP application are merely put into a queue. A periodic background process, known as the SAPconnect send job, takes the e-mails from this queue and sends them via the Internet. To schedule this job from SAPconnect administration, you:
    1.Choose ViewJobs.
2.If there is not already a job scheduled, choose JobCreate.
3.Enter a job name and confirm.
4.Select the variant SAP&CONNECTALL by placing the cursor on it.
    5.Choose Schedule Job.
    6.Choose Schedule Periodically.
7.Enter an appropriate time period, such as 10 minutes.
    8.Choose Create.
    Inbound
If you want inbound e-mails to a specific address or with a specific content to automatically start a program that processes these e-mails, you can configure this under Settings>>Inbound Processing.
If you want inbound e-mails to a specific address or from a specific sender to be automatically redirected to another recipient or distribution list, you can configure this under SettingsInbound Distribution

  • GRC AC V10 - one approval step for manager and role owner

    Hello Community,
I have one, perhaps easy, question. Where is it possible to maintain the solution of one approval step for manager and roleowner, if both are unique.
    E.g.:
simple approval workflow: manager stage afterwards roleowner stage afterwards auto-provisioning
So if the request is routed to the manager and the manager is also the roleowner of the requested authorization role (same UserID). The user has to approve one and the same request twice.
Is it possible in V.10 to change the config that the user has only to approve the request once? And then to decide on which relevant stage settings are valid for this process.
    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,
We have had a similar questions raised in a project. In an ideal world, a single "Sign-off approval" would be a great functionality where the same user has to approve the same consecutive stages, but the reason for different stages would entail that the responsibilities entailed per stage differ, e.g. Line Manager would just check the over request, and the role owner etc may be reviewing the elegibility of a specifc role etc.
If it is likely to be the same person reviewing the 2 consecutive stages, maybe a single stage workflow would be sufficient to cover this scenario.
I think the logic you are trying to configure in the workflow is possible but will require alot of work with knowing how to create a clever custom workflow with BRF+ or the actual WF stuff in SAP itself.

  • How to check SAP utiliztion in total bandwidth

    Hi Techies,
Is there any way to find SAP utiliztion on total bandwidth for one particualr user id.
This can help us to analize the network utiliztion and upgradation plan.
*In ST06 we can check the LAN connectivity, but i want to know the utiliztion of bandwidth
    Regards,
    Nick Loy

    Hi,
You can check network response for particular user from ST06 "LAN CHECK BY PING". Select the user/terminal and perform ping.
For LAN Check by Ping, standdard response times are:
    - In a local area network (LAN) : <20 milliseconds
    - In a "fast" Wide Area Network (WAN) (for example, 256 or 384 KBit/sec): < 50 milliseconds
    - In a "slow" wide area network (WAN) (for example, 128 KBit/sec or less): < 250 milliseconds
    - Losses of data packets ("Loss") should not occur at all.
If result of your Ping is more than described above, then this indicates problem with network.

  • Is this possible: SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and ...

    Hi,
    I have (stupid perhaps) question.
    Is this scenario possible:
SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and non-SNC connection from SAP Router to SAP System.
I know how to set up scenario like this:
    SAP System --- (non-SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP GUI.
    Best regards,
    Marek Majchrowski

    Wolfgang,
To be sure myself and Marek understand, can you confirm the different scenarios supported:
    Scenario 1:
    SAP GUI --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario, it would be possible for a user to logon using SAP GUI onto the SAP System, but without SAP GUI SNC.
    Scenario 2:
    SAP GUI --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (SNC conn) --- SAP System
With this scenario it would be possible to logon to the SAP System using SAP GUI, and using SNC authentication.
Also, with this scenario the SAP GUI software and SAP System software would consider this to be similar to:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- SAP System
    Scenario 3:
This is the scenario mentioned by Marek in his initial question:
SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- saprouter1 -- (non SNC conn) -- SAP System
With this scenario it will not be possible to logon to SAP System using SNC, and only possible if the SAP GUI is configured to not use SNC. In other words the SNC connection between SAP GUI and saprouter1 is available, but cannot be used.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    ENDIF.

    Hi Paluri
Here is the difference between SAP locks and Database locks, i will try to find the solution to your code.
    Regards
    Ashish
Database Locks: The database system automatically sets database locks when it receives change statements (INSERT, UPDATE, MODIFY, DELETE) from a program. Database locks are physical locks on the database entries affected by these statements. You can only set a lock for an existing database entry, since the lock mechanism uses a lock flag in the entry. These flags are automatically deleted in each database commit. This means that database locks can never be set for longer than a single database LUW; in other words, a single dialog step in an R/3 application program.
Physical locks in the database system are therefore insufficient for the requirements of an R/3 transaction. Locks in the R/3 System must remain set for the duration of a whole SAP LUW, that is, over several dialog steps. They must also be capable of being handled by different work processes and even different application servers. Consequently, each lock must apply on all servers in that R/3 System.
    SAP Locks:
To complement the SAP LUW concept, in which bundled database changes are made in a single database LUW, the R/3 System also contains a lock mechanism, fully independent of database locks, that allows you to set a lock that spans several dialog steps. These locks are known as SAP locks.
The SAP lock concept is based on lock objects. Lock objects allow you to set an SAP lock for an entire application object. An application object consists of one or more entries in a database table, or entries from more than one database table that are linked using foreign key relationships.
Before you can set an SAP lock in an ABAP program, you must first create a lock object in the ABAP Dictionary.

  • What is difference between SAP R3 And SAP IS Mills Product

    HI Friends
What is difference between SAP R3 And SAP IS Mills Product
What are the futures are availables in IS MIlls
    Regards

    Hi,
SAP R/3 is the central enterprise version. It is not specifically designed for any inducstry sectors and it can cater many of the industry types.
Is is developed for specific industries an for SMB's (small and medium business). It will have components specifically for the industry.
The SAP Mill Products component adds sector-specific functionality to an ERP system to satisfy the complex requirements of mill industries (e.g. metal, wood, paper, textiles, construction materials, and cable sectors).
These industry segments differ from others primarily in that the materials used have a large number of characteristics and variants. The materials in the segments listed above are also predominantly area-based (e.g. paper, textiles, plastic film) or length-based (e.g. cables, piping). Account must be taken of these material characteristics throughout the entire supply chain.
To cater for the particularities of these industry segments, SAP Mill Products features processes and functions that cover the entire supply-chain cycle – from product design and configuration, through planning, order processing, capacity planning and production, to final delivery. Additional functions are available in costing and inventory management. SAP Mill Products are also integrated into Quality Management, Financial Accounting, and Controlling.
