Apps 11i custom.pll

Does anyone know whether Apps 11i support custom.pll?
And If so what is the advanced features and features carried over from R11.0.3?
Thanks!

Oracle does not support your customizations, but they supported method of customizing is via custom.pll. How's that for an oxymoron. Basically if your custom form that you call from custom.pll is bombing, you're out of luck, however if it's a direct problem with custom.pll and it's built in features, they may give you some help. You can do quite a bit with custom.pll, but you have to be careful if you're modifying seeded forms behavior. It's nice for adding entried to the Tools, and Actions menu though for launching custom forms.

  • Calling Framework Pages from Apps (Custom Pll)

    Hi All,
What a usefull forum I've been searching on metalink but didnt
know this forum existed till now!
Anyway I have written a few framework pages and would like to invoke them from an apps form I was thinking a menu option enabled by a custom pll is this possible? I would like to call the jsp and pass them parameters such as project_name, task_nam etc
    Thanks in advance
    Guy

Yes you can. You can simply define a Form Function of JSP Type and have the WebHtml call pointing to your PG.xml file and with the necessary parameters required.

  • Using FIND icon in Oracle Apps 11i

I have a custom 6i form in Orcale Apps 11i which uses a search screen to find matching records. Once I open up the main form, I want to be able to go back to the search screen using the FIND icon in the toolbar (right below the Edit button). I am not sure if I have to modify the custom.pll library to do that? How do I achieve that functionality?

    Hi,
I would try this question on an Oracle Applications forum here on OTN.

  • R12 CLASSPATH to compile the 11i custom OAF pages in R12

    Hi,
Can you please let us know how to compile the 11i custom OAF pages in R12 in Unix Box.
We copied the 11i custom OAF pages to R12 and when we try to compile the java files all are erroring out. How can we compile these classes.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to find oracle.apps.ibe.customer.AddressBook class in R12

    Hi,
We are implementing iStore R12 for our client. They have iStore 11i already implemented.
In 11i they were using a custom jsp which is using following seeded java classes:
    oracle.apps.ibe.customer.AddressBook
    oracle.apps.ibe.customer.FlexibleAddress
I am trying to migrate this jsp into R12. However above java classes are not there in R12.
Are these java classes moved to some other location?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi,
As noted these are now obsoleted in R12.
The new files are in: oracle.apps.ibe.tcav2
    Thank You,

  • Registering Forms in Oracle Apps 11i

    Hi hussein,
This is the docs for registering an Oracle Form in Oracle Apps 11i.
To Register a custom form in Oracle Applications, take the following steps.
(As practice, copy the form FNDRSRUN.fmx under the $FND_TOP/forms to a file
called RUNRPT.fmx. The form RUNRPT.fmx will now be used in the following steps.)
1.Log into the Applications Developer responsibility
    2.Navigate to Application > Form

    Hi,
My question is, how do I run the form in the Oracle Apps? After registering it.You already have the steps in your post, just add the form to the menu and attach it to the responsibility.
My question is, how do I know if a form has a function that needs to be registered?Sorry, I cannot be of much help here, but you may check the Developer Guide and see if it helps.

    Hi,
regarding adding (Add (C:\ABC) to FORMS60_PATH in the registry) could you please explain
compilation is by f60gen @ (is this right?)Correct, the syntax of using f60gen is explained in (Note: 130686.1 - How to Generate Form, Library and Menu for Oracle Applications).
The place where i am working has apps installed in IBM AIX server .. so how do i access Apps
or can i access Apps via TOAD.You will have to access the server using ftp to download the pll files to your local machine. TOAD can be used to access the database objects only (not the physical application files).

    Can any body help me??
    Raj

    Hi Helios,
Thank you for the update, actually the problem is solved.
The issue is : Whenever i am trying to show a message in that form using either form personalization or CUSTOM.pll, it is giving the error, if i do any thing else like 'changing the default where clause etc', it is not giving any error. The problem is only with message. Actually my requirement is changing the where clause, which is happening with out any problem. I dropped the idea of showing the message any way.
This problem is strange. Any ways, i am raising an SR with Oracle.

  • Oracle 10g AS  pacth for Oracle Apps 11i

    Hi everyone,
I have installed Oracle 10g AS (10.1.2.0.2) for Oracle Business Intelligence on Sun Solaris 10 (64 bit) and integrated it with Oracle Apps 11i (11.5.10.2).
Everything seems fine but i am facing problems like
    1) Toolbars not appearing correctly sometimes like it is disabled and enables by itself.
2)sometimes clients come accross "Connection with Server lost..." error while taking export (very few).
    3) Its giving the error (mentioned at the end) only on one client machine while taking export to Excel.
I have tried installing Oracle 10g AS patch set 2 10.1.2.2 for Solaris but the problem persisits. Is patch set 2 compatible or certified with Oracle Apps 11i? if not then is there any other work around or do i have to wait for some new patch.
    Thanx for your inputs.

    Hi
The last I heard is that 10.1.2.2 is not yet certified for use against E-Business Suite unless your operating system is Linux. Please take a look at this posting on Steven Chan's blog: http://blogs.oracle.com/schan/2007/04/23
The issues you are encountering, particularly the one with the toolbars disappearing, were fixed in patch 5345528 as described on my blog here: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2006/08/more-to-toolbar-icons-graying-out.html
I would advise you to go for this patch first until Oracle certify 10.1.2.2. for Sun.
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • How to close a custom form from CUSTOM.pll

    Dear Friends,
We need your help on the following issue related to Oracle Apps Forms.
We have a requirement to show a popup message (message should remain open and user should be able to continue working in the order entry form. User use this message as a reference while entering order details) when user enters a customer name or number in the order entry form . This is similar to the Stock Availability form which gets opened automatically when control enters into Order Entry Lines form, where the stock availability form remains open while entering line details.
To fullfil the requirement, we have designed a custom form with a single text field in which the message text (some customer information) will be shown.
We are using custom.pll to call this custom form (thru FND_FUNCTION.EXECUTE) when the control leaves customer number field. User could leave this custom form open and continue with entering order details. Till this point we could achieve what we want. i.e. we could show the popup message in the custom form after user enters a customer number.
The problem is, after the custom form is opened, when we enter a new order for different customer, we need to close the custom form (which is opened for the previous customer) if the customer is not qualified.
we could not achieve this. We tried using CLOSE_FORM, CLOSE_WINDOW, but did not help.
Any body have any suggestions on achieving this... Basically, we need your help to know how we can close the custom form from CUSTOM.pll.
    Thanks,
    Uma

I thing you haven't any (supported) option to close a form via custom.pll.
For a long time, we have search a solution for the same problem without any result.

  • Requirement to enable auditing on every form in Oracle apps 11i,Dynamically

    Hello All,
I have following requirement Oracle apps 11i forms6i:
Client want to audit the changes in data which user does on the oracle form and save old values and new values in DB table.
Currently they do have this system working but, only for some forms.
Now they want generic. Means, user will navigate to any form in Oracle apps. there he will get Menu option in menu "Enable this form for auditing". After pressing this menu option, another form will come where he will be able to see all fields on the form with check box in front of each field.
Here user will select those fields which he want to enable for auditing.
Thereafter all changes which user do on the form, those old and new values will get store in one custom table.
Since information about fields is not stored in database, how can I make it generic. So that user will navigate to any form in oracle apps and will be able to enable it for auditing?
can we do this by using any interface with Java with oracle form?
Let me know, if my requirement is not clear to you.
    Regards,
    Parag

    Parag,
This is the General Forms discussion forum. Please post your question in the [EBS General Discussion|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=475] forum. Having worked with EBS several years ago, I confident that Oracle already has an Auditing feature built into their system, I just don't recall how it is implemented or if it would work for your situation where the customer wants to turn it on and off on the fly. To be honest, I'm not sure it is a good design to allow the user to enable/disable auditing as this just seems to violate the "Auditing Paradigm." In any case, someone in the EBS Forum would be better able to answer your question.
