Aprpaisal report - ranking list - no data

I get no data when I run the appraisal report "Ranking List". my report has a few elements (criteria groups) with FAPP columns. does it matter that I have more than 1 FAPP column in my report? can this cause the report not to run properly?

There are known issues with Interactive Reports referencing :REQUEST value, probably due to some inner logic that also handles it simultaneously - potentially causing malfunction or deadlocks.
One workaround I've learned is to create a computation to assign :REQUEST to a temporary item (a PXX_REQUEST, for instance) and reference it in the query, instead of :REQUEST. This has worked fine for me in my experience.

    I need to generate a report which shows the number of booking for each companies for each month.

    Off hand, it appears perhaps under certain circumstances you need to insert a new record, whereas under other circumstances you need to update (that is to say modify) the record by retrieving it, changing it, then updating it. If you pepper your code with System.out.println() statements, you can see where your problems occur in the code.
    I say you may have inserted a record instead of updated due to your statement here. Looks like XX should have been one record rather than two.

  • How to select column dynamically with sharepoint list as data source in ssrs report

    I am creating reports from SharePoint list but i have requirements to select the column name dynamically with SharePoint list as data source. I didn't find any way of doing this.. 
    Can anyone help me to resolve this issue..

    Sorry for the delay.
    According to the current description, I understand that you want to specify column name in dataset query designer dynamically when using SharePoint list data source.
    Based on my research, this is not supported by default. As a workaround, you can use XML data source. The XML content can be embedded directly within the query. This lets you use the expression capabilities within the processing engine to build queries and
    data dynamically within the report. And it can be used for retrieving XML data directly from an external data source, passing it using parameters, and embedding it within the query.

    Assuming you have the collection of statistics enabled, which it is out of the box, you can get the information you need from the EUL5_QPP_STATS table. This script will help:

    I am trying to read data from memory use -ranked list.
    In general we use function pool to read the data but in case if we should read the data from a class can we do it.

    in the above class in TES table we have data , we have to read data from TES .

    This one is really tricky. Display value just shows the rank but it would hold the actual value when you try to do calculations.
    We have had similar problem but it was not related to ranking.
    One Simple approach could be
    Make them use Wrokbooks and do this calculation by using a SUM formula in Excel. Excel will consider whta is being displayed as a value for that cell
    One far complicated solution is you can use the Olympic ranks and Do your sum in a Macro.
    What I mean is if you get the last rank to be 10 then you can write your program to do the sum as
    1098765432+1.
    This approach could be taken only if they are OK with Olympic ranking.

    Ranked lists
    You can use the APPEND statement to create ranked lists in standard tables. To do this, create an empty table, and then use the statement:
    APPEND <wa> TO <itab> SORTED BY <f>.
    The new line is not added to the end of the internal table <itab>. Instead, the table is sorted by field <f> in descending order. The work area <wa> must be compatible with the line type of the internal table. You cannot use the SORTED BY addition with sorted tables.
    When you use this technique, the internal table may only contain as many entries as you specified in the INITIAL SIZE parameter of the table declaration. This is an exception to the general rule, where internal tables can be extended dynamically. If you add more lines than specified, the last line is discarded. This is useful for creating ranked lists of limited length (for example "Top Ten"). You can use the APPEND statement to generate ranked lists containing up to 100 entries. When dealing with larger lists, it is advisable to sort tables normally for performance reasons.

    The program inserts three lines into the internal table ITAB using the APPEND statement and the SORTED BY addition.     SQL query is used for the fetching data from different tables,while report painter is used to display the data in some format.

    Hi,
    If it is one time requirement, you can run the report LT23 and download the data to excel sheet and donwload material details in another sheet and you can match the temperature column in excel file.
    If it is permanent requirement, create a query and attach transaction code to that or write a seperate report for this requirement.

    Well you can opt for ALV display...
    You want to generate report based on plant data..
    Once the user enters the plant, you can extract the remaining info from table MARA, QALS, EKKO.
    The radio buttons will decide your selection critera.
    I dont think any functional guy will give you everthing spoon feeded. You will have to explore those tables and the relevant fields.
    In case you are finding it to difficult to get the relations between the tables or finding list of tables,
    i shall send u docs which will help u solve the problem.

  • Will SUBMIT report EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY work, when Run in Background?

    You can use SUBMIT <report> EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY, and then Call the FM LIST_FROM_MEMORY to get the Data.
    This works fine, when the Program is Run in Foreground. My question is, will it work when I Run the Program in Background? i.e. When I Run the Program in Background, will the SUBMIT Statement, Export the List to Memory? Because only then the FM LIST_FROM_MEMORY will get the Data.
    Any alternate solution to meet the same requirement will be appreciated.

  • Duplicate report title for every date where records are found in date range

    I have a developed a report that lists multiple entries by date range with a page break separating each date. What I would like to include now is a report title which only appears once for each date, and separated by page break.
    Example:

    According to your description, it seems that you want to eliminate the duplicate report title for every date. If in this scenario, I suggest that we can try to add a group grouped on date range, and then add a child group grouped on report title. Then add
    page breaks between each instance of date range group.
    If I have something misunderstood, please provide us more information about the report. Such as provide us some screenshots about the report with sample data. So that we can make further analysis and help you out.

  • Select list and date picker on one line  -  is this a bug?

    I'm using: Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
    Is the following a bug? If so, how do I get it reported so it will be fixed in a future release of APEX? If not, how do I do it so it ends up the way I want?
    1. create blank page
    2. create html region
    3. create "select list" item (Begin On New Line - Yes, ...Field - Yes, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
    4. create date picker item (Begin On New Line - No, ...Field - No, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
    There will be other items displayed in more columns above what I just had you create above. I want the select list and the date picker to display next to each other on same line, so I placed date picker item on same line in same field as select list item.
    HOWEVER... the date picker ends up displayed under the select list item (kind of), instead of next to it on the same line.
    Here's what I get:

  • Crystal Reports - Failed to retrieve data from the database

    Hi There,
    I'm hoping that somebody can help me.
    I've developed a crystal report from a stored procedure which I wrote. I can execute the stored procedure within SQL Server and within the Crystal Reports designer without any errors. Furthermore, I have imported the report into sap and can run it within SAP from the server without any errors. SAP version 8.81 PL5
    The issue is that when it's run from a client machine, I get the following error: "Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: Database Vendor Code: 156. Error in the File RCR10010 {tempfile location}
    Here's a list of things which I have tried, all to no avail:
    - Checked user permissions to ensure that they have proper authorizations
    - Re-set the datasource connection and re-imported the report to SAP.
    - Exported the report and reviewed the datasource connection and re-imported to SAP.
    - Tried to run the report on multiple machines to ensure that it's not machine specific
    - Tried to run the report using different users to ensure it's not user specific.
    - Tested other reports built from stored procedures on client machines to ensure that they work.
    Any assistance in this would be GREATLY appreciated.

    After further testing, we found that the report could be run within SAP on any work station which had the CR designer installed on it.
    As it turns out, the procedure which I wrote has temp tables in it.  The runtimes built into the SAP client install do not support creating temp tables when executing the report from within SAP.  Which is why the report could not retreive data.
    To work around this, I installed external runtimes which were the same version of the Crystal Report and now the report can be run within SAP from any workstation which has the external runtimes (and not just the runtimes within the SAP client).
    I hope this makes sense.

    the requirement is like need to generate a report for list of locked pernrs with the following fields as pernr,fullname,PA(text and code),EG and ESG(text and code),changed on,changed by,position text and also quering any of the fields...
    Through SQ01 i did generated the report but its not giving the complete output such as the code and text is not showing in one report, the changed by and changed on column cant be queried as it doesnt exit....there should be one report with all the mentioned details of an employee....please provide me the solution...!

    Hi, you have to use switch in your infoset (or in a copy of the infoset):

    When you run the program, the system displays the following basic list with a the page header defined in the program:
    You can trigger the AT LINE-SELECTION event by double-clicking a line. The system sets the status TEST and deactivates the function code PICK. The status TEST contains function codes FC1 to FC5. These are assigned to pushbuttons in the application toolbar. The page header of the detail list depends on the status.
    Here, double-clicking a line no longer triggers an event. However, there is now an application toolbar containing five user-defined pushbuttons. You can use these to trigger the AT USER-COMMAND event. The CASE statement contains a different reaction for each pushbutton.
    For each interactive event, the system decreases the SY-LSIND system field by one, thus canceling out the automatic increase. All detail lists now have the same level as the basic list and thus overwrite it. While the detail list is being created, SY-LSIND still has the value 1.
