ArchiveLink and Contents Security
Hi,
This is in reference to ArchiveLink HTTP interface 4.5
From what I have read so far in ArchiveLink related documentation is that although the communication between SAP and and external content server is secure, the content that is exchanged between SAP and external content server is not secured. Is that correct? What can we do to make sure that the content exchanged is also secure and no body can read it (support for encryption, https etc.?)

Hi,
if you work with the content server or a R3 database you use the HTTP interface. SAP Content Server and R3 Database repository don't support the OLE archiveLink scenario. What you could do is the following:
1. Early archiving: you scan into the file system. You write a report that is archiving the documents via the SCMS API of Kpro. Then you start the workflow.
2. Late archiving: you scan into the file system with a list barcode -> filename. Then you write a report which is calling BAPI_BARCODE_SENDLIST and the images are linked with the BO object.
The reports have to be planned as jobs.

Can I have both IPS and Content security on ASA5510?

We want to have a ASA5510 with both IPS function and Content Security feature, while I checked on Cisco website, looks like ASA5510 or 5520 only have one SSM slot, so I can only use either AIP module or CSC module, does it mean I can not get both features at the same time.
Right now I want to have IPS function and anti-spam, anti-virus, antiphishing, content filtering, URL blocking such feature, so what do I need to buy to have all of these function in one device?

You can go with CSC module for your requirement , most of your requirement could be satisified by CSC module except IPS functionality

GPO Security Zones and Content Ratings "Modify Settings" buttons are disabled
Task: Trying to modify a GPO so that specific users who logon to Remote Desktop Servers will have a lower Internet security level for Internet Explorer.
We have two Windows Server 2008 Domain Controllers, when I access the GPO using the Group Policy Management Console and Editor on either of the two Domain Controllers, then navigate to User Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer
Maintenance > Security > Security Zones and Content Ratings, the available "Modify Settings" buttons are both disabled.
I've read through several forum posts relating to this and the closest solution mentioned was to turn off IE ESC for Administrators on both Domain Controllers. I've done this and it nothing has changed as a result. Is there a way enable the "Modify Settings"
buttons, or is there another way to achieve the task mentioned at the top of this post?Hi,

Does ArchiveLink support saving SAP R/3 generated reports in external content server? If yes then in what format? If no then what's the alternative?

SAP R/3 generated reports are supported by ArchiveLink and therefore can be stored in an external content server. There are even reports that allow an indexed storage in the external content server (the classical example is RFBELJ00).
But, any report can be archived. The FORMAT is an SAP proprietary format called ALF.

Karthi.Sorry I forgot to add this information to my previous post.
Please note that I am using RDBMS Authenticator in 8.1 SP2 with oracle 9.2.0
and the set up is very fine with no problem. Order of the Authenticator
changed with RDBMS Authenticator as the first one.

Application Express and Content DB
Hello friends
I am trying to develop an application prototype with the following need
a. A set of data fields where by somebody can put a document into the content DB along with the set of data. The content DB needs to store different types of documents, - PDF, Excel, Word etc.
b. Be able to include rights,security management and records management
c. Have Menu based access to the data
I would like to use the Application Express for my front end development and Content DB as the back end data store. All of this in the Windows environment and on the Web.
I would much rather not use BPEL as I think it will complicate the development process for me and I do not have inhouse expertise on Java.
I have seen examples on Content DB where BPEL has been used to write to Content DB, but dont see any place which mentions that you could use Application Express with the Content DB.
Can any one who had done any such work help

How to customize the link between archivelink and Alfresco

We are using Alfresco as content manager and we want to scan the invoices according to the "Late Storage with Bar Codes in FI" scenario [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/46/c4317ffc4b11d195650000e82deb58/frameset.htm].
Each scanned invoice will be stored in Alfresco as a pdf file and we want to be able to display it from the sap 'display FI document' transaction (thru 'environment' menu / Additional assignments/object links).
my question is how to make the bridge between sap archivelink and Alfresco for this display ?
how to customize link between archivelink and Alfresco ? Is it possible with customizing only or is it necessary to buy third party software ?

Apparently you need an interface between SAP and Alfresco that implements SAP archivelink.
Once that is in place you can configure a repository in OAC0.

Our company had an own content repository software. It used KGS SAPALINK to make the connection with SAP.
Furthermore CTAC seems to have done development to connect SAP and Alfresco.
Currently we are looking for a new repository system as well. A couple of weeks ago management decided that within some departments Alfresco will be the standard DMS. It would be great if we could use it as content server as well.

Get Content Security Role using PCS tags in Presentation Template
I'm trying to determine what content security access(role) a user has in Publisher using PCS tags in the Presentation Template. Basically I need to check whether a user has access or not to a content item in Publisher and before an action. I've looked through all documentation can't find anything related to this, I know I could do this using remote API but I'd rather use PCS tags if possible.

I don't think this is possible directly, however we have enabled this in publisher by checking if the user is in a specific group, or content manager and doing a check with the following code if it helps.

Content Security Licensing on Cisco ASA

Need help on licensing of content security on Cisco ASAs. Hope someone would be able to help.
Our customer has a ASA5520-CSC20-K9 (default 500 users) appliance. When the appliance was first bought, they upgraded it to 750 user license and PLUS feature license. They want to renew these licenses. Kindly advise the following:
1. In order to do so, is it right that the customer has to purchase both the following (to cater to the 750 users and PLUS features)?
• L-ASACSC20-500UP1Y ASA 5500 CSC-SSM-20 500-User w/ Plus Lic. Renewal (1-year)
• L-ASACSC20-250UP1Y ASA 5500 CSC-SSM-20 250-User w/ Plus Lic. Renewal (1-year)
2. Do the renewal licenses above include BASE features (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, File-Blocking)?

CitraThat unfortunate. It seems like with the VPN licensing they realized if you were in an active/standby configuration then you should only have to pay for one license, thus the license change in 8.3+ only requires you to purchase one license. I thought this would have carried over into IPS.
Beings we haven't failed over to the standby unit in 2 years, would it be possible to install the IPS module in both the active and standby appliances, but just license the one in the active mode? I don't care if we are running without IPS on the standby if we did have to failover for some amount of time. Or does having it licensed on one and not the other mess with being in active/standby failover mode? -
Crawl and drafts security issue
Hi all!
I'm having problems with an specific document library. In our environment I have at least 5 document libraries with 50000+ documents each one.
One doclib began working wrong last week. After a lot of hours of investigation I found the root cause:
- If draft security is setted-up as "Only users who can edit items", then the crawl failes to read the doclib.
- When I change draft security to "Any user who can read items", the crawl begins to run normally.
Some premises:
- All document libraries are configured with same settings.
- This is the only doclib in the site and entire farm that is causing me a headache.
- Crawl account has FULL CONTROL to WebApplication and content.
- I have three search service applications and the same problem appears in all of them.
- I tried reseting the index but the problem persists.
Some error messages:
- The server is unavailable and could not be accessed. The server is probably disconnected from the network.
- Error from SharePoint site: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.
Any idea?

Trouble with Content Security Policy (CSP)
In the latest Firefox 33 there seem to be an issue with Content Security Policy (CSP) and how it handles url that are url encoded.
For instance when some CSP directive is set to like https://mywebsite.com/application/do;jsessiond=1234 - it will get URL encoded so the ; gets replaced by %3B.
In Firefox 32 and earlier this worked, but not in this new solution.It may be that it needs a header application/x-www-form-urlencoded is this included in your url request as well as charset UTF-8?

Please pass them on.An APEX page can certainly be configured to not require authentication (that's pretty standard for the login/ registration page). There is no need for an "Oracle public password." There are accounts in the Oracle database that APEX uses but that no human needs to know the password for. If that's what you mean by "Oracle public password" then, yes, you do. But that would be the case no matter what authentication and authorization scheme you use in APEX.
A static IP address for your web server is likely a good idea. It's possible to have DNS work with dynamic IP addresses but that's probably not what you want.

Not sure if this fits here, but here goes...
I have a subportal folder, with a community in side. Inside the community, I have groups. If I give one group the admin level authority, is it just for that community and all of its content, or is it the whole portal. The admin docs are very granular on user and group security throughout the various ways of applying it. WHat I am trying to do is give a group admin control over a singel community as well as full admin control of all groups in the communities admin folder. BUT just those things.
thanksIf I recall correctly, there is no inheritance of user and group rights in PT, at least not in 5.x. If you give some rights on a specific object/folder to a specific group, then it will be for that object only and none of its children.
You do have a choice of propagating of user rights down the ownership tree however. I.e., if you select a community and set some rights for yourself, it will prompt you if you want to propagate the same permissions down the chain, to all of its children. If you say yes, it will replacepermissions on all its children by creating copies. If you say no, you'll have to go and apply different permissions on each child individually.

hi i got a new airport express for christmas and i set it up as per instructions ,i even give a static ip and wpa2 security ..the problem is is when i come to want to use it it says its not on my network and a orange triangle shows .when i reboot it works..then if i leave it a while and try iy agian its disapeared of my network...i have a bt hub 3 ....any help please ..im not sure if itsa faulty express
I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen.
