Arg, computer sees songs, can't copy them or add new ones... (mic

Alright, Im sure I must be doing something really stupid becuase when I first got my micro I was able to use the JB3 drivers, plug in the micro, and have access to the content on the device. I know that if I install media source it works but I wan't it the way I know I had it once before without a 20 something mb program.
Has anybody else had this problem? Like I said, device mananger see the micro just fine and it comes up in explorer (my computer) just like it should but when I look at the songs and right click on one of them my only options are Delete and properties.
Please somebody help me! I should be much smarter then this!

i cant see anything wrong with your methods, have you access to any other software which supports the micro, like real player, media player, or winamp with plugin. just to test it with?

Bookmarks got deleted on firefox 4 installation and i cannot restore them or add new ones. how to fix?

ok so the other day i upgraded my firefox to 4 but when it opened i had no bookmarks and could not even add new ones or restore ones from previous days. hello 43kogjvdl94, maybe the file in your profile that holds your bookmarks and history got corrupted. maybe try to rename/delete it so that it will be regenerated (please make a backup first before you proceed): go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information'', click on ''profile folder/show folder'' and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there rename the file named '''places.sqlite''' - and restart firefox again. your history will be gone, but you should be able to restore your bookmarks through the bookmarks library > import & backup > restore...

Do you happen to have more than one Apple ID? If you've authorised your computer using the one you're signed into then the most likely cause is that the iTunes purchases were made on another Apple ID.
To check you bought them on the Apple ID you're signed into, you can go into iTunes, click on Store and View My Account. From there you should have a Purchase History option where you can check the songs were bought on that account.
If you have another Apple ID then try to sign into that one (sign out of current one and into new one under Store in iTunes), then Transfer Purchases again and you should have no issues.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Copy the music from Nano to computer by:

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

You're not very clear in stating your problem. Maybe it's terminology: "takes" in recording lingo (and in GB lingo) are different version of exactly the same part in a song, so you only want one of them in the end. Please tell us exactly what you did and what it is that you don't like.
