How can I get the ASE 15.5 SDK or a Developer Edition?
I only find the 16, and I need the 15.5.

Yes, you can it only give you the current version. without a SAP Service Marketplace account.
There is a trial version of the SDK I think they got SDK 15.7 SP132 SP130 and SP127 up on the site currently.
Please do the following:

There is an article titled "The SCN Download Center is Now on the SAP Store: What's New?"
In this article there is a link to the SAP store click it
Than do a search for "SAP SDK for Adaptive Server Enterprise"
Click the free trial and it will ask for your information and send you an email.

ASE 16 SDK download problems

I'm looking for the latest SDK for ASE 16, Solaris x86 & MS-Windows, both 64-bit.
I'm in the middle of testing ASE 16 on Solaris (x64_64) with some MS-Windows clients. I want to download the latest SDKs.
I found another related thread, and followed the instructions there: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3628265
In SAP Store, I find the free download of ASE 16 SP01. Great. I fill out the contact form, receive the SAP e-mail, click on the link in the e-mail, and get to the SAP store download page with links for the various OSs. But none of them work -- all give "page not found". The link in the e-mail says that it's good for 48 hours only. I sent e-mail to address on the web page: [email protected] No response. The next day, I call SAP Active Global Support, who confirms the problem, but says that they can't help, because they "we are supporting customer with license and maintenance". They will forward the issue to SAP Store, but don't guarantee a response. They suggest I call Marketing or try this forum.
Now, two days later, I try whole process again for the ASE 16 SP01. Same response -- page not found.
So I back-up to ASE 16 without the SP01 (turns out it's PL03). I go through the same process, and get to the SAP Store download page, but no 64-bit Solaris x86. There are two links for 32-bit Solaris x86 -- one of them is mislabeled; it actually points to a Solaris 64-bit download, but it appears to be for SPARC, not x86.
How frustrating! (Probably even more frustrating though for the customer who downloads the 64-bit code, expecting the 32-bit code.)
Has anyone successfully navigated this process, and actually downloaded an ASE 16 SP01 SDK?

How to download Sybase ASE SDK?

Hi,
I am trying to install Sybase ASE ODBC driver for Windows on one of our test machine.
According to this "http://www.sybase.com.sg/products/archivedproducts/odbc", ODBC driver is now a part of SDK product.
For downloading SDK from http://downloads.sybase.com/swd/summary.do, requires a a Technical Support Contact registered with MySybase.
Can someone please guide, how we can register with Sybase for this product? Do we need to procure a license and only the will this service be available?

Unable to install Client Tools for Sybase ASE 15.7 on Windows Server 2012 64-Bit

Hello Folks,
I just downloaded the client tools package from https://support.sap.com/swdc --> Installation and Upgrades --> A-Z list --> SAP ADAPTIVE SERVER ENTERPRISE --> SYBASE ASE 15.7 --> Installation --> Microsoft Windows --> 51044415.zip
I'm trying to install the client tools for a newly provisioned Windows 2012 64-Bit machine. After unzipping the folder and running autorun, the installation does not proceed. When I go to pcclient64 and run either setup.exe or setupConsole.exe, I get the error "This Application has Unexpectedly Quit, Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX)". I stumbled across various posts on the forum, and it appears that the installer is not certified for Windows Server 2012. I tried using the compatibility mode for Windows 7, and it proceeds further and launches the SAP GUI; however, it closes afterwards.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

51044415 is a PC-Client 15.7 refresh.
You are using a version that was not certified with Windows 2012. Get the most current version PC-Client 15.7 SP130 or SDK 15.7 SP130 or SP132.
If your looking for PC-Client5.7 SP130 look for EBF23439
We didn't get certified with Windows 2012 until SDK 15.7 ESD#6 even with that I reported a few minor issues.
You need the following on the machine before the installation.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) (or dsedit and ocscfg will not work)

As many of you are aware, Apple has recently changed their iOS requirements to enforce 64-bit compatibility. Going forward, every IPA generated using AIR SDK 16 and above will be a universal binary and there is no change required in the packaging commands for this support.
Please note that support for creating universal IPA binaries will only be available in the new compiler. The legacy compiler is not (and will not be) compatible with iOS 64-bit. Stage3D Wireframe Mode Support
To help designers and developers create robust and efficient 3D content, we've added Wireframe support into AIR desktop. This option can be changed by setting Context3D's setFillMode() to "wireframe" or "solid".
Stage3D - Standard Constrained Profile
In version 14 of the Runtime we added the new Standard profile to desktop systems. In Version 15 we expanded that to mobile devices in AIR. In Flash Player 16 we've added a new Standard Constrained profile. Like Baseline Constrained, Standard Constrained targets older and lower powered GPUs on both desktop and mobile devices. I think that on the previous beta reléase notes it said that on the simulator the info was still wrong, but right on an actual device... anyway, are you using the AIR SDK for Flex developers? After finding Re: Error creating arm64 compatible ANEs I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens here.

ASE Sybase Client 12.5.1 VS EncryptPassword

When using client 12.5.1 and attempting to connect to a server that requires EncryptPassword, setting the EncryptPassword to 1 in the connection string doesn't help. But if to set connection from ODBC Administrator with Password Encryption enabled, connection is established with no errors.
Tell me please a correct parameter in the connection string to use EncryptPassword. My connection string:
DRIVER={Sybase ASE ODBC Driver};UID=sa;PWD=****;NA=localhost,5000;EncryptPassword=1

I wouldn't suggest using the 12.5.1 ODBC Driver as it is well past its End of Life support.
Newest Driver was just released in SDK 15.7 SP100.

Nothing happens when trying to open an .ai while in Illustrator CC or loading an .ase, why?

Just recently, Illustrator doesn't do anything when trying to open a file from the tool bar. In addition, when trying to load an .ase, selecting 'Other Library' does nothing. Why would this just now start doing this?

If you are trying to open an Excel form that is attached to the PDF file (via the attachments tab in
Acrobat), then this is the wrong script to use. You should consult the Acrobat Javascript reference:

Have spend a lot of time finding the latest and greatest downloads of the Sybase ASE 15.7 Client for 64bit. The one I could find (Refresh version (Which version is this anyway?)). But i need also the EBF/SP 's

Click SAP Support Portal (middle of the screen)
Click Software Downloads (grey top menu bar)
Click Support Packages and Patches (middle of the screen under A-Z index)
Select 'S'
Select 'SDK for SAP ASE'
This is the location for the latest downloads.
Older downloads can be found in 'SY Software Developer Kit'
I believe refresh is the PC Client that includes SDK and GUI tools for windows.
Go back to the A-Z letter screen.
Select 'Installation and Upgrades'
This can be found under 'A'
Click 'SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise'
Refresh is around SP100 I believe.
Not 100% on the exact version, but this is one of the last PC Client downloads as it is being EOL.
Sybase Central that came in PC Client is EOL.
DBISQL / interactive SQL is being moved to the SDK in 16.x.

Air sdk16.0.0.250 sdk not reporting Iphone 6 resolution, instead it's reporting iphone 5 resolution in Ios Simulator.
Platform: mac osx 10.9.5 / xcode 6.1.1 / air Sdk 16.0.0.250
Please advise?

Zenworks - SDK or

Hi..
Im looking for some kind of SDK for Zenworks...
I need to change the path to the MSI file in a lot of application objekt
(700), so I dont what to do it by hand.
I would prefer some commandline tool.
I have been looking at the tools at coolsolutions and

that trick. I can do a lot of other smart things with these tools, but not
the part I really want

PowerBuilder 5.0 Vs Sybase ASE PC Client 15.5

Hi,
We are working on an old project which was developed in PowerBuilder 5.0 and Sybase 12.5, Now we are trying to upgrade Sybase from 12.5 to 15.5.
We are getting Error "PB050.EXE ERROR - application could not start because LIBCT.DLL is missing from your computer". When tried to create new DB Profile, getting error "DBMS SYC Sybase System 10 CTLIB is not supported in your current installation".
Please clarify that whether Sybase ASE PC Client 15.5 supports PB 5 or not.

Actually this is more an ASE question...
Now in your sybase installation folder there is a <X>:\Sybase\OCS-15_0\scripts\copylibs.bat. There is also a README file which explains what does copylibs.bat.
Contents of README:
This is the README file for the SDK/Open Server scripts.
This directory contains the following script(s):
copylibs.bat:
    As of SDK 15.0 and Open Server 15.0, Sybase library names have
    changed from lib<name> to libsyb<name> to avoid name clashes
    with other libraries.
    To allow pre-15.0 applications to continue to work with the
    renamed shared libraries, this script is provided to copy the
    new library names to the old ones in %SYBASE%\%SYBASE_OCS%\dll.
    Usage of the script:
       copylibs.bat { create / remove }
    where 'create' copies the old-named files in $SYBASE/$SYBASE_OCS/dll
    and 'remove' can be used to delete these files again.
Based on previous text from a command prompt go to your <X>:\Sybase\OCS-15_0\scripts\ folder and execute copylibs.bat create.
Try again to run your application and tell us if it connects...
Also you should take in mind that ASE 15.5 End of Mainstream Maintenance is for 31/03/2015. So I believe you should choose at least 15.7.
Finally I would advise to see if you can also upgrade in a later version of PowerBuilder. PB 5.0 is 20 years old... So you might face a lot of problems in the near future...

Python module for Adaptive Server compatibility with ASE 12

I discovered that the Python module in the SDK can't pass datetime as a parameter to an ASE 12 server, most likely because it is trying to use bigdatetime. Is this intentional? It was generally expected for OpenClient to be backwards compatible after all.

ASE 12 is very old and since no Eng support maybe decision made to not use datetime. However, you can certainly request feature - if you are able to create incident we can create Feature and then incident can be used for tracking purposes, etc.
If unable to create incident please provide details:
ASE version (exact with select @@version)
SDK version being used
code sample to demonstrate problem and the output from such a test
If you used TDS please provide that trace as well if possible

Error in Printing Crystal Report Directly to Printer using SDK Code

I don't see a clear way to create an Azure Virtual Network using the SDK.
