Assigning a hard value to multiple, varying MIDI events

I have many midi notes that have, say, velocity values of 70-80. I want to select them all, and assign an absolute velocity of 75 to all of them. I can select them in the event list, but still can only change the value of one. Also, of course, I can select many in the piano roll window and make all of them relatively louder or softer, but that isn't what I want. I want to dehumanize the velocities and standardize on one value.
What am I missing?
Thanks.....

You can use the transform function to a fixed value.. Another way is to option click all velocities, and drag all the way up, this will force all values to become 128, then back down to you get the value you with

  • Assigning LOV return Value to multiple text items

    Hi all
    I have a custom form on which i have 10 text items
    text item 1,text item 2 ....text item10
    I have a table xx_querywith fields
    text_item,query
    i have inserted into the xx_query table
    insert into xx_query(text_item,query)
    values(text_item1,'select sysdate from dual');
    insert into xx_query(text_item,query)
    values(text_item2,'select sysdate-1 from dual');
    I have created a record group dynamically and i am getting the query from the query column of the xx_query table into the record group(say test_rg)
    I have created a LOV test_lov and thr set_lov_property i have populated the test_rg query into the test_LOV
    is it possible for me to set the return item of the LOV dynamically so that i can get the LOV on the item which i want to ?
    thanks
    _

    Hi All
    thanks for your responses
    I have Created a control item and assigned the return value of the LOV to the control item
    and i have assigned the LOV to the text item that i want
    Currently when i navigate to the text item the LOV is visible
    but when i select a value from the LOV the value is not getting populated into the text item
    I have assigned the value of the control item to the text item
    but i am not sure in which trigger to write the code so as when i select the value from the LOV the value should be shown on the form populating in the text item

  • Value to multiple sprites through the same parameter

    I'm going to ask the same question "
    "contains" doubt in hexadecimal color value?" but in a
    different way, because I figured out that the solution is simpler
    that I thought, and the solutions goes by other way. I have this
    behavior:
    property pTargetSprite, pBlendValue
    on getPropertyDescriptionList me
    list = [:]
    addProp list, #pTargetSprite, [#comment: "Target Sprite:",\
    #format: #integer, #default: VOID]
    addProp list, #pBlendValue, [#comment: "Blend Value:",\
    #format: #integer, #default: 100]
    return list
    end
    on mouseDown me
    sprite(pTargetSprite).blend = pBlendValue
    end
    I would like to enter MULTIPLE sprites for 1 parameter, that
    is to say when the dialog box of the behavior appears and ask me
    the "Target Sprite:", I would like to input ...let's say 1 , 2 , 3
    , ... whatever numbers I want. Therefore, the blend values of that
    sprites will change according to the input Blend Value. Right Now
    is working perfect, but of course with only ONE sprite, but I want
    to be able to assign that Blend Value to multiple sprites over the
    same parameter.
    I guess it must be very simple, but I cannot get the answer
    anywhere in my brain, nor my director book, nor in the forums.
    Thanks!!!

    You have several options here. You can do as you suggest,
    create a list
    of the sprite numbers to change and then tell each of those
    sprite's
    blend value to change.
    Another method is to write a function in the behavior that
    you attach to
    each sprite and then use sendAllSprites() to fire each of
    those
    functions. If you are attaching behaviors to each sprite this
    may be the
    way to go.
    For method 1, you could amend your behavior like this:
    property spriteList
    property blendValue
    on getPropertyDescriptionlist
    myPropList = [:]
    myPropList.addProp(#spriteList,[#comment:"enter the sprite
    channel
    numbers to use, separated by
    commas:",#format:#integer,#default:"1,2,3"])
    myPropList.addProp(#blendValue, [#comment: "Blend Value:",\
    #format: #integer, #default: 100])
    return myPropList
    end
    on beginSprite me
    spriteList = stringToList(spriteList)
    end
    on stringToList(thisString)
    oldDelim = the itemDelimiter
    the itemDelimiter = ","
    thisManyItems = thisString.item.count
    tempList = []
    repeat with n = 1 to thisManyItems
    tempList.add(thisString.item[n])
    end repeat
    the itemDelimiter = oldDelim
    return tempList
    end
    on mouseUp me
    thisMany = spriteList.count
    repeat with n = 1 to thisMany
    sprite(n).blend = blendValue
    end repeat
    end
    for method 2 you could use something like this in each
    sprite's behavior:
    property blendValue
    property thisSprite
    on getPropertyDescriptionlist
    myPropList = [:]
    myPropList.addProp(#blendValue, [#comment: "Blend Value:",\
    #format: #integer, #default: 100])
    return myPropList
    end
    on beginSprite me
    thisSprite = me.spriteNum
    end
    on changeValue me
    sprite(thisSprite).blend = blendValue
    end
    and then you can call this second method from a mouse event:
    on mouseUp me
    sendAllSprites(#changeValue)
    end
    and every sprite that contains that function in the frame
    where it is
    called will execute.

  • Assigning a numerical value to the answers of a multiple choice text field

    I have searched and searched thru a million articles but there does not seem to be a simple way to do this, and I hope like heck that I am just overthinking it.  I tend to fall back on years of coding and completely miss a simple answer when doing this
    kind of thing so I hope someone can help.
    I'm developing a scorecard.  I have a list that has a form on it that asks a series of questions on it.  Some are yes/no.
    I want to assign the numerical value of "1" to "yes", and "0" to "No".
    This is so that when I create the actual scorecard, I can add up all the answers and generate a calculated score.
    Example:
    Was this incident properly classified?
    [Dropdown]
    Yes
    No
    Do I need an extra column assigning the values?  Can I assign the values within the column itself? Any assistance will be really helpful.

    there are several options:
    - calculated column with something along the lines of =IF([dropdowncolumn] = "YES", 1, 0)
    - separate lookup list with values
    - if you're using infopath, your column could be numeric, and just use a DropDown as the visualization, and populate the DDL with key/values of "Yes"/1 and "No"/0 (though in this case, when viewing the list as a native grid, the column
    would only show 1/0, not "yes / no"
    - depending on how you're creating the scorecard, use a yes/no (boolean) column and just convert during the calculation
    lots of options come to mind.

  • How to create a list based on a value in multiple sheets

    I am trying to create a list in numbers that references a common value among multiple sheets.  I have 4 sheets created for a fantasy football league (1 sheet for QB, 1 for Running Back, 1 for Wide Receiver and 1 for Tight End).  I have assigned a value to each player listed on each individual sheet.  I would like to create a 5th sheet that lists the players in order from highest to lowest value as they are marked on their position sheet.  How would this be done in Numbers?
    Thanks for the help!

    Here is one possible solution:
    I named the four data tables "QB", "RB", "TE", and "WR", and the 5th table, for lack of a better name "Summary".
    NOTE:  The first row OF EVERY TABLE is a header.
    In the summary table:
    A2=OFFSET(INDIRECT(A$1&" :: $A$1"), MATCH(LARGE(INDIRECT(A$1&" :: B"), ROW()-1), INDIRECT(A$1&" :: B"))-1, 0, 1, 1)
    select A2 and fill to the right, then select A2 thru D2 and fill down as needed

  • Assigning a number value to a line from file without array

    How do you assign a number value to a line from a file? I want to use the assigned number so that the i can use random number to randomly select a line
    Example. i have the lines A,B,C,D,E
    A
    B
    C
    D
    E
    i know that a is line 1 b is line 2 so on so on
    (1) A
    (2)B
    (3)C
    (4)D
    (5)E
    so from here i would use the random number generator so that i could randomly select one of these. I already know how to code for the number generator but how would i make it so that i can access each individual line as a number?

    ya that's what im using but reguarding the code i dont think it does what im looking for. yes it does provide a random line but wen i run it multiple times it gives me the same line repeatedly. also i need to be able to refer to that line in the future so in the code the String line gets replaced each time
    BufferedReader bF = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("someFilePath"));
              String line;
              int someRandomNumber = 9;
              int counter = 0;
              while ((line = bF.readLine()) != null){
                   if (counter == someRandomNumber){
                        break;
                   counter++;
              System.out.println(line); //line at #someRandomNumber in the file

  • How to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button ?

    Hi Folks,
    I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
    This is a struts based web application
    1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
    2. I got those user details, into a List.
    3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
    4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
    Here is my test code:
    <%
    if (List != null)
    for (int i = 0; i <List.length; i++)
    %>
    <html:submit property="rduname" value= "<%=List%>" onclick="return submitRdu('<%=List[i] %>');"/>
    <%
    %>
    But my problem is how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of the button ( i know 'value= "<%=List[i]%>" ' will not work, just wanted show you guys).
    Thanks in advance,

    In case if you are returning multiple value or with multiple columns then you have to use record or cursor to do that operation.

  • Multiple values for multiple fields sharing common id

    I'm new to Reporting Services and I need to create report based on a common child id that includes multiple values from multiple fields in several tables. I can combine all the values into one query for a list report; however, this causes the rows to duplicate
    multiple times based on the differing fields having multiple values (i.e. report contains various child ids and multiple medication dates/names, multiple health diagnoses with onset dates, multiple health service dates/values, multiple immunization types and
    service dates, etc). If I create a list report and try to use various tables, I run into problems with how the tables view the data due to the duplicating child id rows from multiple field values on that child id. If I hide duplicates for these different tables,
    I can run into spacing issues from the duplicating rows and/or hiding data that shouldn't be hid.
    I need the report to have the basic non-duplicating child info (id, name, basic health info) and then also have various sections that contain fields with numerous values (i.e. section for health issue name and onset dates, section for medication name and
    prescription dates, section for health service name and service date, etc). I would want a page break after each child id and would want all the child ids to be viewed/exported for printing purposes at the same time (i.e. not choosing one child id at
    a time to print or view the data). I have tried to create one main table on a list report with various subreports on the child id; however, this is hard for my machine to process (it takes forever) and I can only view/export one child id at a time when I use
    child id as the report parameter.
    Any help you can give this newbie would be greatly appreciate.
    Thanks,

    MelissaS

    Hi simpson213,
    According to your description, you have some questions about your report design.
    1. How to have non-duplicating child info?
    In this scenario, since you don't want to hide the duplicate data, we suggest you filter the duplicated records on query level by using Distinct statement. If you want to do it on report level, you can group
    records on chid id and use First() function on other fields.
    Reference: First Function (Report Builder and SSRS)
    2. How to  have various sections that contain fields with numerous values?
    We can also add these fileds into the child group of child and have them toggled by child id.
    Reference: Add an Expand/Collapse Action to an Item (Report Builder and SSRS)
    3. How to add a page break between each child?
    Right click on the Row Group(child id)->Page Break->Select between each group instance.
    Reference: Add a Page Break (Report Builder and SSRS)
    4. How to select multiple child id when rendering report?
    When creating parameter, select Allow multiple values in General.

  • How can I compare single value with multiple value...

    Hello,
    I want to compare one value with multiple values, how can it possible ?
    Here in attachment I tried to design same logic but I got problem that when I entered value in y that is compared with only minimum value of x, I don't want that I want to compare y value with all the x value and then if y is less then x while loop should be stop.
    I want to do so because in my program some time I didn't get result what I want, for example x values is 4,5,6,7,8  and y value is  suppose 6 then while loop should be stop but here it consider only minimum number and its 4 here so while loop is not stop even y is less then 7 and 8. So I want to compare y value with all the entered values of x and if y is less then any of x values then while loop should be stop and led should be ON.
    Please guide me how can I do so.....

  • Running APD for multiple variants of a query

    Hi all,
    I am trying to create an APD with a query as the data source and an ODS as the data target. My requirement is such that i need to run the APD for various values of the characteristic combinations present in the selection screen of the query. I observe that we can only specify a single variant while defining the Data source of type query under RSANWB.
    Is there any way i can use multiple variants with the same query in a single APD , so that the APD runs for different variants of the same query at different run times ?
    Any help would be appreciated !
    Regards
    Snehith

    Hi Snehith,
    As per my knowledge, multiple variants with the same query in a single APD is not possible.
    However you can create different APDs for different combinations of characteristics value and then can use all these APDs in a single process chain to automate the load.
    For Example, Say you have query Q001 whose data you want to load in DSO DSO_001 and then to Cube C_001 for the characteristics combination. Now without filter in your query, you have Controlling Area = IN000,CN000 and Company code IN01,IN02, IN03, CN01,CN02,CN03. Now you want the data for (Controlling Area = IN000,Company code IN01,IN02)and (Controlling Area = CN000,Company code CN01,CN03).
    Create the two APDs with filter conditions between Q001 and DSO_001 as above. Now design the process chain as below:-
    Start varian>First APD>Data load in cube C_001 from DSO_001>Second AP> Data load in cube C_001 from DSO_001.
    Please note that when we execute the APD, old data in data target is deleted.
    Hope it helps.

    Prakash

  • How to compare single value with multiple values

    In my query I have something like this:
    A.SOR_CD=B.SOR_CODE where A and B are 2 different tables. This condition is in the where clause. The column in table A has single values but some values in table B have multiple comma separated values (822, 869, 811, ..).  I want to match this single
    value on the left side with each of the comma separated values. Please let me know how will I be able to do it. The number of comma separated values on the right side may vary.

    Hi MadRad123,
    According to your description, you want to compare single value with multiple values in your query. Right?
    In this scenario, the table B has comma separated values, however those comma separated values are concatenated into a string. So we can use charindex() function to return the index of the table A value. And use this index as condition in
    your where clause. See the sample below:
    CREATE TABLE #temp1(
    ID nvarchar(50),
    Name nvarchar(50))
    INSERT INTO #temp1 VALUES
    ('1','A'),
    ('2','A'),
    ('3','A'),
    ('4','A'),
    ('5','A')
    CREATE TABLE #temp2(
    ID nvarchar(50),
    Name nvarchar(50))
    INSERT INTO #temp2 VALUES
    ('1','a,A'),
    ('2','A,B'),
    ('3','c'),
    ('4','A,C'),
    ('5','d')
    select * from #temp1 a inner join #temp2 b on a.ID=b.ID

  • Sales order with line items having multiple values in multiple currency

    Please suggest solution for creating sales order having line items with multiple values in multiple currencies.
    e.g. Line Item A Qty/1 No,  value 100INR100$100EUR. Customer wants all three values to display at sales order line item level and create billing in 3 currencies.

    Hi,
    As far as my understanding it may be possible round the solution,
    For 1 company code we can able to maintain 3 currancies,
    1 currancy is hard currance & other two are dual currancies.
    Create sales order with 3 line items having 3 diffrant currancies
    Spilt invoice on the basis of currancy
    Last pass to this invoices to accounting.
    Whole process is
    Sales order >>> Delivery >>> Invoice 1, Invoice 2, Invoice 3(Split invoice on basis of Currancy).
    Consult with FI Team they will tell you about dual currancy & hard currancy

    If(grdP = 100)
    grade = "A"; // results in a error, i'm real confused

    Try using a switch statement to solve your problem. It'll be cleaner code and easier to read and understand.
    //declare a variable
    int usrInput;
    if( ( usrInput >= 10 ) || ( usrInput <= 1 2) )
    switch(classYear)
    case 10:
    classyear = "Freshman";
    case 11:
    classyear = "Sofmore"; etc.
    Not sure if this will help but here's a project that I worked on for a class and it was assigning a string value to a variable. I used a switch statement (do you know what those are?) to determine which value was selected.
    I know this is a bit long but I think it's easy enough to understand. You will have to determine what value you want to put in your if statement. Switch does not use Strings so you'll have to use an integer to determine what is selected.
