Async system - XI BPM Sync - Web service - SOAP response

Dear Experts:
I have the following scenario:
Async Proxy to XI to web service. I use BPM to make this a sync call to the web service. It works fine!
I have a XSLT mapping for the response message from the web service. I use XSLT because the structure of the positive and fault responses are different. Anyway, I could get the positive response post ok back in the XI system.
But the fault response does not get mapped and I get a APPLICATION_ERROR of category UNKNOWN in the SXMB_MONI. I also configured exception handling in the BPM. But it does not catch this error.
Can anyone suggest how to handle the fault response from the web service?
Thank you.

I just had the same problem and solved it like this: I modified the WSDL slightly by removing the prefix from the reference to the element of the response message, as well as the "targetNamespace" in the xsd:schema segment of the WSDL. Like this, SAP is able to parse the response.

  • Mapping of Web Service SOAP response document

    Hi all!
The XI mapping expects a namespace qualified root element of my web service's response SOAP document. Unfortunately my web service (written with AXIS) only provides the "xmlns"-declaration but no namespace-prefix for this element as expected by XI. For this reason the mapping is not working. I am quite desperate and could need some help how to fix that.
All child elements are expected to be non-qualified, only the root element is expected to be qualified. I got this information from the test environment of the message mapping when generating a test XML instance.

  • Web service SOAP response issue

    Hi,*
We are upgrading system from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0. All of our webservices were created in new system with SOAManager configuration.
When the consumer systsem is trying to consume one of the webservice the XML response is different when compared with the one tested from ECC 5.0.
ECC 6.0 is returning different XML for the same web service. The consuming system "Cold Fusion' is expecting the SOAP XML in different place.
When we tested the same webservice in WS navigator it did gave the response. Also the issue is with this webservice only.
We have re created the webservice again and tested from cold fusion and the same response.
The issue is with only this webservice.

    Christoph,
Firstly LiveCycle Designer 8.2 is still not supported to develop forms as per my knowledge. The latest version compatible for SAP Interactive Forms is ALD 8.0.
There is a difference between Acrobat based forms and LiveCycle forms and based on your coding it looks to me  that you are trying to create a LiveCycle based form with coding of Acrobat which is not supported in LiveCycle Desginer, which is why you may be getting the error.
I hope that does not confuse you, so may check this [link|http://www.acrobatusers.com/articles/2006/08/designer_or_forms/index.php] for some clear information on what point I was trying to make.

  • Sync Web Service - BPM with 2 sync proxy calls error.

    Hi.
Have a sync web service going into a BPM.
In the BPM there ar 2 sync calls towards a system making a credit check.

Does anybody have an idea why I get the error.
When I check my config everything looks the same.
Looks like we never send the first sync call to the proxy when I check in SXMB_MONI and the BPM gets terminated.
We have just migrated the solution from XI 3.0 to PI 7.11.

    Hi.
How will that help if we do not send the message.
When I check the graphics in SXMB_MONI the error occours befor we send the first message with proxy.
    Also extend ASYNC timeout?

  • Erorr calling long running sync web service

    Hello
I have definied simple async process:
assign (from process input to ws invoke input)

Sync Web Service is long running (few minutes). In order to avoid timeout I have accordingly set sync-max-wait-time property.
I have observed that after starting process instance I can't see it in BPEL Console (however I know it is working). Furthermore when invoke activity ends (so instance state must be saved in database) I can see following error on system console:

    Hi,
There are 2 ways to work around the error that you are seeing.
Option #1: increase the JTA timeout of the underlying application server.
Option #2: in the bpel.xml of your process, add a "nonBlockingInvoke" property to the partnerLink representing the interaction with the long running service.
Option #2 should also address the fact that the instance is not visible in the bpel console.

  • Web Service (SOAP) From Oracle Forms

From the exaples of calling web services (soap) from pl/sql, it seems very poor and troublesome. I've seen a few articles with good points about why not to do this from pl/sql. So, I was hoping someone in the forums could share their opinions and approaches to using web services from forms based applications. I would ideally like to hear reasons people chose not to use pl/sql.

There are some examples of calling web services from forms on the Forms OTN page - works fine although I would encourage the use of the new JVM pooling features as this will aid scalability and performance.

  • How to install and consume GroupWise Web Service (SOAP)

Hello! I'm Razvan, programmer from Romnia, and I am new to GroupWise development.
I am asking if anyone could help me with a C# Visual Studio 2010 example of how to install and consume GroupWise Web Service (SOAP).
The documentation from novell site didn't help me, i didn't understant much of it.
All I need is either a link to a documented GroupWise C# developer step-by-step tutorial, or some code examples.
Can you please show me some code examples in C# with:
1)loging in using a username and a password,
    2)retrieving contact list,
    3)retrieving appointment list,
    4)sending a mail,
    5)setting an appointment
I don't know how to use "groupwise.wsdl" and customise it so that it points to our GroupWise server.
Please, I really need this because I am working at a project right now which involves GroupWise integration.
I hope I haven't disturbed anyone with my simple question.
I know this might be a very simple question given the complexity of the other posts here, but that's why I really hope I will get an answer soon.
    Thank you very much!

  • Web Service SOAP Sender Authorization

    Hi all
I have been implementing a Web Service (SOAP Sender CC) that should be consumed by an external party. I have been testing it successfully using XMLSpy with the drawback of the authentication box coming up even though I have added sap-user and sap-password to the URL as following:
    http://<host>:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SOAP_Service:CC_SOAP_Sender&sap-user=<name>&sap-password=<pass>
The user that I have created for this has the profile SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER assigned. The request is successfully executed when I enter <name> and <pass> in the box. My understanding of it would be that the box does not show up if the login parameters are provided with the URL. Do I have to do any additional settings so that the login information will be taken from the URL parameters automatically instead bringing up the authoritzation box?
My CC settings are as following:
Adapter Type: SOAP (SAP BASIS 7.00)
    Sender
    Transport Protocol: HTTP
    Message Protocol: SOAP 1.1
    Adapter Engine: Integration Server
    HTTP Security Level: HTTP
    Conversion Parameters: Keep Headers
    Quality of Service: Best Effort
    Any feedback would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Daniel

    Hello Daniel,
    1. You can add username and password to the SOAP URL and expose your XI Interface as a webservice. Just that the URL is different than the one you are using and you do not need a Sender SOAP adapter but the blog I have listed above.
    2. You can turn of Basic authentication on Sender SOAP adapter's but it is not recommended as it would turn off all authentication for SOAP scenarios and it can lead to security risks.
I have seen a few forum threads describing how to turn of Basic authentication for SOAP adapters but from what I have heard from SAP, they do not recommend using this option.

  • Async Interface being called synchronously via Web service/SOAP

    Hi,
I have an asynchronous interface to receive data into XI which is being sent to a file system, I can successfully use this interface to send data to XI using the file sender communication channel, and the monitoring shows the same as asynchronous.
The problem is when i want to use the same setup to send data from a .Net client using SOAP/Web service. This time if I go to monitoring I get to see that the call is synchronous..????... which is quite baffeling...
I am not calling the XI webservice in synchronous mode I am calling the BeginInvoke method thus making an async call.
what is it that I have to do to get the interface to behave as async on being called from a webservice?

  • ODSI to Invoke an A sync Web service

We have a 2-Tier application based on Oracle 11g db and PowerBuilder 10.
Does the follwoing practice can take place? :
1.call an ODSI Program (Wraped as a service) from Power Builder
2.ODSI will collect the data from the db and send it to a SOAP end point for further processing.
Also , would it be best practice to creat my SOA landscape usign this tool rather then developing
each outbound service using Jdeveloper for example on the application side.
    Appriciate your insights.

I'm not sure I understand the post. The subject says "ODSI to (can?) invoke an A sync (async?) web service" (it cannot), but then goes on to ask something different.
1.call an ODSI Program (Wraped as a service) from Power Builder If PowerBuilder supports calling webservices, then yes, you can call ODSI from Powerbuilder.
Also , would it be best practice to creat my SOA landscape usign this tool
2.ODSI will collect the data from the db and send it to a SOAP end point for further processing. The strength of ODSI is that it can part or perhaps even all of the "further processing".
would it be best practice to creat my SOA landscape usign this tool ratherThat would be a good practice.

  • Calling Oracle BPM Process Web Service from Oracle Service Bus

    Hi
I am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3.
I have developed simple BPM process through Oracle BPM studio 10.3.1.0.I then followed steps below
    1. Create a Process.
    2. Expose the Process as a Web Service.
    3. Run the project. This starts the Process Execution Engine.
    4. Create an ALSB External Resource of type Management Host.
    5. Create a second ALSB External Resource for registration.
    6. Register the End Point
Until this point everything is fine. Then I created one project through Oracle Service Bus console. Under that created WSDL, Proxy Service and Business Service Folders. I am using the web service created through BPM studio as teh Business Service in SB . I then created one proxy service to route the request to the Business Service.
Finally when I try to test the Proxy Service by launching test console, I get the

I also tried to debug through "Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3 " . But I am not getting enough details as to why this is failing.
Please help me . Thanks In advance.

  • BPM 's Web Service Layer

    Hi all,
I had a question on Process As a Web Service.
We build this web-service in BPM and the WSDL is auto-generated in BPM.
But what is the underlying method that BPM uses to convert usual Java or Fuego Data Types to SOAP i.e. to XSD?
Is it using EJB3 or Axis or something else?

Oracle BPM uses Axis. Here is the information from the manifest.mf file included in the axis.jar that comes with OBPM
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.5.3
    Created-By: 1.4.2_05-b04 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Name: org/apache/axis
    Implementation-Title: Apache Axis
    Implementation-Version: 1.2.1 2243 June 14 2005
    Implementation-Vendor: Apache Web Services

  • Web Service SOAP Adapter Error

    Hi all
We just upgraded from PI7.0SP13 to SP18. We have a couple of Web Services running that worked fine in SP13. Now, after the upgrade they don't work anymore, and we get the following error when trying to execute the SOAP request:

I've tried all the things that I have found in the forum, e.g. CPA cache refresh, restart the system, make channel inactive and active again in ID, stop and start in channel monitoring, but nothing appears to be helping.
    Can anybody help?
    Thank you,

    Hi Prateek
We do not use HTTPS. It is a simple Web Service that is called via HTTP with a request that calls a BAPI using the RFC adapter and returns the answer from the BAPI via the Web Service.
