Hi when i create region for attachment link. after clicking on apply attachment below error is coming. can any body tell me what should i do

You are not following Oracle's passivation coding standards in your code. Basically for FndDocumentsDomExtensionVO, you need to add setMaxFetchSize(0), before adding new rows in VO.

I am using Oracle 10g. I am having a function which is being called in a 'Select' query. And with in the function i have done exception handling, in which in case of exception, i am inserting the records into one table and its is 'pragma automnomous'. So its working fine , when i called this function through the 'Select' query from my own DB. but when i called the function from another DB through DB link, its giving me error stating , DML is not possible in function.
can you please suggest some other alternatives or hoe to handle this situation?

Clicking on links giving errors

I am facing this issue for a couple of days. Sometimes clicking on links within forum giving the following error. If I refresh the web page it becomes normal.

GOS - Attachment - Link is not deleting from SRGBTBREL

I have created custom transaction and this have option to attach desktop files (ie Word, Xls, PPT, PDF) etc into this transaction. For this i am using class CL_GOS_MANAGER.
After the attachment sometimes users will delete the attachments from attachment list.
My problem is some attachment links are not deleted completely from SRGBTBREL (Link Table) . Because of this next time users displaying the attachment list still the deleted entries are showing in the list.
If users double clock it is giving a error message "Document does not exist" ( message class SO and message Number 006) .
Any body come across this kind of scenario?

I already run the program RSGOSRE01 (suggested in the note 569123) But nothing is shown. But the document showing in the SRGBTBREL links it have attachment

Attachment link is not visible- external content server

I have integrated an external content server to SAP
i have done following activities:
1) I have maintained content repository using Tcode OAC0
2) I have Maintained Global Doc Type (ZFININV Finance Invoice scan doc document class: TIF) using Tcode OAC2
3) i have maintained Link for Doc type ZFININV and assigned Object type: BKPF    using tcode OAC3
4) I have all My documents scaned and residing there on my content server . So i have manually created entry for these documents in Table TOA01 .
5) I have maintained protocol using tcode OAA3
      Function : Display Stored Document
     Doc Class: FAX
      communication type : HTTP
In application Maintenance i have used internet explorer as an application.
7) In tcode OAG4 : i have maintained settings for storage and display.
8) Now i can search document using Tcode OAAD. i can display document in my content server viewer
Now my customer wants that while doing business transaction , customer should be able to attach link of supporting document   which is already residing there on my content server.
Say for example: I display a Finance document using tcode FB03. While doing maintenance of this document ,from the same screen , i want to attach supporting document (or link of the document) which is already archived there in my content server
but when i click on attachment list (using GOS) , i can not see any link which i can attach to this transaction
please suggest me .. whether i forgot any step Or is there any other way to do this requirement?

Alteratively, in FB03, try using Environment -> Additional Assignments to see if it meets your requirements. You will have to explore a bit and do some trial and error tests for the solution as this is a particular requirement which you have got.

For this additional assignment, the time at which the business object was created does not matter. It is also possible to assign other archived documents to existing business objects. An archived document is assigned using the function module ARCHIV_APPEND_DIALOG_META.
This additional assignment fulfils my requirement . but i cant see this option for other transaction (say for example ME51n or MM01 ) for which i can do this additional object assignment.
Is it possible to add this additional assignment option in another business transactions context menu? or anyother work around to fulfill this requirement...

ABAP OO sales order object - how to attach link to VA03

I'm trying to build workflow using ABAP Objects instead of BOR. I created custom object for sales order according to blog "Getting started with ABAP OO for Workflow using the IF_WORKFLOW interface". It works correctly in my workflow but I would like to attach link to "browse sales order" (VA03) to workflow step. When using BOR I can attach link my binding BOR objest to AdhocObjest step container element. The same way does not work for ABAP OO object. The error message is "The object categories 'CL' (source) and 'BO' (target) are not compatible".
Is there any way to add this link to attachments when sales order object is OO not BOR?

At least make sure that you have a default method 'browse' in your class. I mean that make a method for "displaying" or "browsing" or whatever you want to happen when you click the object, and make it default. OR actually if I remember correctly there is a default method existing already, but put your code to there.
Also try this:
-Create a container element of type 'sales order' into your task
-Bind the sales order object from workflow to the the task

I was using dsn in ms odbc for oracle driver to connect the DB. Now in 10.0 i have removed the query file created using 8.5 query builder and trying to write directly to command editor. the report as stand alone is working fine. but when i try to generate the pdf using my vb application then on .export option it is giving error as "Logon failed.
Details: 01S00:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle]Invalid connection string attribute". i think the problem might be with cddb_oracle.dll or crdb_oracle.dll file as i am using a evaluation version of crystal report 10. as input to dsn i am providing

Well, you can migrate, you can not upgrade (semantics I suppose). E.g.; the RDC was deprecated in CR XI r1 and retired in CR 2008. Thus there is no way for you to upgrade to version 12 of the RDC as there is no such thing. So, from here, you have two options: migrate / port the app to .NET, or Java SDKs.

Broken images links and error in line/column

HI!
I am the proud owner of the Adobe Creative Suite 4 (Web Premium) software package and am learning Web Design through the University of Phoenix online (I am a disabled veteran going for my BA in IT)--I am trying to meet my final requirements for the individual assignment (creating a personal 3-page website), but can't get the images to show up and now get an error when trying to re-create the home page to add pages to the menu I added (with Home, Feedback Form, etc. links)--the error says:
"There is an error at line 64, column 83 (absolute position 3340) [file location]: TemplateBeginEditable tag inside editable region"
I have searched this and other forums and they keep saying I don't have a proper closing tag, but I can't figure out where it is and need help with that and why my images are not showing up (broken) when I post my files in class for grading.
I have been using the following link for help so far during my design:

Cannot process links - int error: bad record index

Opening a publication I have recently been working on suddenly fails with "Cannot process publication's links - Internal error - bad record index".
And then Pagemaker dies. Is there anyway to get this publication back? Hours of work.
Only possibly anomaly I see is that the .pmd file was moved from one computer to another before this started happening, but we do this all the time in our shop. As a matter of fact it was moved on a memory stick, not as an email attachment or some less reliable means. The version on the stick fails the same way.

Well that sounds close, but I (1) don't have any graphics on master pages, and (2) never performed a "diagnostic recomposition", and (3) can't do anything anyway since pagemaker crashes immediately after issuing the error message about the links.

Linked server error

When I run below query its giving error:

The OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "P3FI.WORLD" supplied inconsistent metadata for a column. The column "CONFID_AGREEMENT_SIGNED" (compile-time ordinal 3) of object ""ADHOC"."V_CONTRACTOR_FW""
was reported to have a "DBCOLUMNFLAGS_ISNULLABLE" of 0 at compile time and 32 at run time.
When I run this query
select * from openquery([P3FI.WORLD],'select * from adhoc.V_CONTRACTOR_FW')
it runs fine

What happens is that when SQL Server compiles the query, it interrogates the OLE DB provider about the metadata for the table, and the OLE DB provider appears to say that the column does not accept null. But later when the query is exectued, SQL Server is
told that the column is nullable. SQL Server does not like being lied to, and drops out.
This is not very simple to troubleshoot, at least not for an SQL Server person, because the prime suspect is the OLE DB provider, which comes from Oracle.
However, there is one possibility where SQL Server is involved: Assume that this query already was in the cache, because someone ran it yesterday. Since then the column on the Oracle side was altered to permit NULL. When you do this inside SQL Server, all
queries related to the table are flushed from the cache, but obviously this does not happen when you change a table on a different server.
One way to test this is to run the query with a different query text (so that you don't get a cache hit), for instance:
SELECT * FROM [P3FI.WORLD]..[ADHOC].[V_POSITION_FW] AS MyAliasNewOfToday
(The cache lookup is from a hash of the query text.)

Created a new planning application ..while loggin in giving error as :.....

Created a new planning application with Admin id ..while loggin in giving error as :.....
Unable to obtain a connection to Hyperion Essbase. If this problem persists, please contact your administrator
Steps i followed :
1. created schema
2.created DSN on application servr
3.Created planning Applicaion from AppWizard plannig link
4.Application was succesfully created.
5.tried login into the plannig aplication got the boce error.
6.the application i not seen when i login with Admin id through EAS console ....
7.Applicaction is not created in essbase server also...i see in essbase server back end

Check out in shared services if the user is still provisioned with appropriate access, if not do it.
Try running updateusers utility because user dosent exists as NTLM and try creating the application again from Essbase and from Planning.
If it doesnt work then Create a new user with administrator access and In EAS refresh the security from shared services and try creating the essbase and planning applications using new admin. Check if it works.

Passing parameaters giving error

I have requirement to add custom OAF page .
In customer online i have added one custom page all standard page have left navigation menu so same menu i have included into my page when i am clicking any link it is giving error it is not taking parameter
Function definition is like bellow
OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/imc/ocong/party/organization/webui/ImcOrgOverview;ImcPartyId={@ImcPartyId}&ImcPartyName={@ImcPartyName}
for each like it is taking parameater like ImcPartyId={@ImcPartyId}&ImcPartyName={@ImcPartyName}
i have created one VO and added this as attributes in my custom page but it is not picking .
I have manually pas this values as parameter from previous page even though it is not picking .
when i try to print those values in next page it is displaying ={@ImcPartyId} and {@ImcPartyName}
not getting values.
can any one guide me how to pass this values from my custom page.

Read the OAF tutorial. There is a seciton which shows you how to generate a SEARCH, CREATE, DRILLDOWN, and UPDATE page. I think it's under tutorial toolbox lessons.
There is a section which shows you how to pass the parameters between the SEARCH and DRILLDOWN pages. The tutorial is monumental in explaining how to develop OAF pages.

Step 4.1 Configure the EmpName Item as a Link
When the user selects an Employee Name link, the Details page should display. As part of this GET request, we also want to:
Add employeeNumber and employeeName parameters to the URL. These parameter values should be sourced from the EmployeeSummaryVO1 attributes EmployeeId and EmployeeName respectively.
Indicate that the EmpSearchPG's application module instance should be retained when the EmpDetailsPG renders so these pages can share the same root application module.
Indcate that breadcrumbs should display in the EmpDetailsPG.
To achieve this, select the EmpName item in the ResultsTable region and set the Destination URI property to:
OA.jsp?page=/<yourname>/oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}&employeeName={@EmployeeName}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
At runtime, the OA Framework substitutes the current row's view instance attribute values for the tokens inside the curly braces. So, for example, &employeeNumber={@EmployeeId} becomes &emloyeeNumber=1234.

Balancing Segment Value set Does't show values and Giving error Page.

In R12,LOV of Balancing segment, doesn't show values and giving error page while creating Retained Earnings Account in Ledger Options Page.
If once the ledger options finished, and it gets the status completed, can't we modify the Ledger options in future.
By mistake we finished. can i delete Primary ledger from Accounting stucture?

Turn on the dynamic insert for your chart of account structure.
Make sure you have at least one value in each of the value value set attached to COA segments. Make sure retained earning account value exists in your Account value set.
Now you will be able to pick your retained earnings account in Accounting Setups screen.
After completing your ledger setup you will be able to modify some options like suspense account, reversal set, future enterable periods etc.
