AU Manager misreading Bias versions

Hey there,
I've moved from a Tiger based Logic setup to a Leopard 10.5.5 one on a new Macbook Pro. In doing so I had to update a load of plug ins, all of which work fine now except Amplitube, Ampeg and soundsoap. I'm onto IK about the first two, but with Soundsoap it's different. The plug in versions of Soundsoap and Sounsoap Pro I have in the components folder are 2.2.0 and 1.2.0 respectively. However AU Manager is incorrectly reading them as 2.1.2 and 2.1.0 and cannot even open Soundsoap, let alone validate it. Any ideas?

I'm guessing that the version which works on your G5 is not a Universal Binary build, so therefore won't show up on your MacBook Pro.
Regarding your buzz, how close to hum is it (with artifacts)? Have you tried notch EQ'ing it? Or recording some buzz separately filtering out as much actual guitar as possible and trying some phase cancellation?

[Solved] can't enter package management in latest version of Emacs

When I try to do something like 'package-install' or 'list-packages' in the latest version of Emacs, it refuses, complaining:

Do you have an older version of melpa in your load-path (e.g. .emacs.d/elpa/melpa-x.x) over-riding the built-in package management in later versions of emacs?
If so, delete the melpa-x.x directory and restart emacs.

Could not load file or assembly Microsoft.SqlServer.management.sdk.sfc version 11.0.0.0 on Visual Studio Ultimate 2014 Update 4

I am getting the infamous "Could not load file or assembly Microsoft.SqlServer.management.sdk.sfc version 11.0.0.0." The set up of my system is Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate update 4 and my SQL server is 12.0.2000 Express. I am also using SQL
management studio 2014. I read other comments and blogs, and reinstalled the SQL Express 12.0.2000, but no luck yet.

Based on your error, could you please tell me what you do operation and then you get the error message?
Could you please tell me if you add a data connection from Server Explorer Window in Visual studio 2013 Ultimate update
4 and then you get the error message?
If yes, to check if the issue is related to the VS IDE issue, I suggest you can execute the following commands to check if it can
help you add data connection in VS2013 Ultimate Update 4.
(1)I suggest you can run your VS in safe mode by executing Devenv.exe /SafeMode to add a data connect again.
(2)I suggest you can use the Devenv.exe /ResetSettings to restores the IDE's default settings, optionally resets to the specified
VSSettings file.
(3)You can execute the Devenv.exe /ResetAddin to remove commands and command UI associated with the specified Add-in.
In addition, if you used the SQL Server Express to connect the data in VS, you need to specify the server name
as MyComputerName\SQLEXPRESS. If you used the SQL Server to connect the data in VS. Please you try to specify the server name as MyComputerName\InstanceName here to check the result.
If still no help, according the error, it indicates that the problem is that the system cannot locate the right assembly (SQL
Server SDK). So I think you may get better response and solutions if you consult on SQL Server forums.

DPM console not connecting . Error- Cannot connect to Data Protection Manager. This version of DPM is not supported with Central Console Client (ID : 33345) DPM console not connecting

I am having problem connecting the DPM console to ther server. It gives me following error -
"Cannot connect to Data Protection Manager. This version of DPM is not supported with Central Console Client (ID : 33345)"
The server is DPM R2 and the same console is working on one other computer.
Any idea how to solve the problem?

Please make sure you have both versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable installed..
Also make sure you have .netframework 2 installed. If you look at the dpm logs it should say what is missing.

I'd suggest reading this guide to make sure you have prepared your environment to support 10.x first. The link below also contains the upgrade path to 10.0(1).
One of the ways you can do this is:
1/ Apply refresh upgrade cop file on all servers in cluster.
2/ Upgrade the cluster to 8.6(2). Take a backup of the cluster.
3/ Build a cluster of 8.6(2) servers on VMs, and assign them the same hostnames and IP address as the hardware cluster. (You may need to keep these on a separate network until switching off the hardware machines)
4/ Restore the backup taken from the hardware cluster on to the VM cluster.
5/ Upgrade VM cluster to 10.0(1).

Migrating Rule manager from Endeca version 2.1.2 to Endeca V 11.0

I am trying to migrate rules in Rule manager from Endeca version 2.1.2 to Endeca v11.0.
After migration, all the rules show up correctly in Rule Manager in 11.0.
Rules on 11.0 are using cartridge type "LegacyRule" which was created by migration script.
But when I check supplemental objects in endeca_jspref, I do not see any properties from the cartridge.
Only properties which are displayed are endeca's internal properties. I have pasted one such supplemental object below.
Does anybody have idea on why MDEX in v11.0 is not returning cartridge properties?
On 3.1.2, all the cartridge properties and record IDs are coming in property called "endeca.internal.content.embedded" property. This is property is coming in v11.0.

CC Manager downloads old versions - made in a newer version error

If you are getting the error that the document was made with a newer version of the software but you know that can't be true because you just downloaded a new installation and the newest versions... while that would only be logical. You would be wrong.
Incredibly Adobe has the CC Manager download OLD VERSIONS OF SOFTWARE on new installations. I was using Premiere and it download 8.0.1 when both 8.1 and 8.2 had already be released. REALLY ADOBE, you're going to give me a application that is TWO versions old! Oh, and BTW it doesn't tell you that when you download the applications, no you have to know to quit out of CC Manager and re-open it again before it looks for updates.
This is not okay Adobe. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell was going on. I know it's probably easier for them to do it this way (allows them to not have to make a new complete version of the software for each update) but at the very least it should tell you right away this version is not complete until you download the updates. Bad user interface and instructions.
BTW, this is not unique to Premiere, I downloaded 7 application and 5 of them were out of date.

Flash Pro CC is version 13. It appears to need Flash CS6 to function. If you have CC then CS6 is a download in your cloud membership.

Add management server: Setup version: 7.0.9538.0 is not compatible with database version: 7.1.10226.0

I want to add another management server to our existing SCOM environment. But whenever I run this setup on a new server I get stuck in the window for selecting the OperationsManager database. The database field stays blank and in the OpsMgrSetupWizard log
there are lines that the setup version is not compatible with the database version. But I use the same installer as when I installed the other management servers a year ago.
Maybe there is a newer setup installer? But I can't find it.

Apparently there was a newer version of SCOM setup in msdn and someone upgraded our existing SCOM environment. Downloaded the new setup, new report viewer controls and a System
CLR Types for Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 and now it works!!

Apologies for a delayed response, some days get very hectic.
In CallManager, we only define the SRST reference, and CUCM version and SRST version are independent of each other.
The only thing, which is related and will change with CUCM upgrade is Phone F/w version.

You may just want to check your, phone f/w compatibility with the SRST version running on your ISR G1 Gateways:

For Example: SRST version 7.1

You may want to do some lab testing with CUCM 9.1 and an SRST supported f/w on your phones.
If you decide to run the old Phone/F/w to support the SRST version, you may not be able to take advantage of new features.
Also, you can try and upgrade your phones(Wih CUCM 9.1) and test them with your SRST version.
It should work fine, but from a troubleshooting perspective, TAC may request you to come into a Cisco Supported combination.

PO version management - view history version

Hi expert,
I'm using PO version management together with change PO output.
1. Is there a way to pre-view or re-print a certain history version of the PO output? currently only the last version can be previewed and I got error message when I try to reprint hisotory version (no printed relevant changes).
2. When I change the PO, a new version is not created until I save the PO. I have to come to the change mode again to mark it "complete". Is there a way to have the new version available before save, so I can make my changes and mark it completed right way.
3. Is there a standard SAP report shows incompleted PO versions? I need to run it to remind me of the PO's that I still need to work on or to mark completed.
