Audit update table by session

Hi Guys,
Anyone has experience and did a benchmark before?
Will there be slowness when updating a huge load of records compared with noaudit?
thanks

If you are auditing by session probably not especially compared to the result of auditing by access; however, the way to determine the answer is to configure auditing in test and to run a few test instert tasks with auditing off and on so that you have an actual set of test results to base your decision on.

  • Statement AUDIT SELECT TABLE also audits update, delete and inserts

    Hi,
    Database Oracle 11g.
    After turning on AUDIT with these 2 statements:
    SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SET audit_trail = "DB_EXTENDED" SCOPE=SPFILE;
    SQL> AUDIT SELECT TABLE BY ACCESS;
    then insert, update and delete statements are recorded in sys.aud$ as well as select statements.
    My expectation was to see only select statements in sys.aud$.
    Please clarify :-)
    Best regards
    Erik

    it should not record other action apart from select,can you crosscheck audit configuration by
    select * from DBA_OBJ_AUDIT_OPTS;
    SELECT * FROM ALL_DEF_AUDIT_OPTS;

  • Help with UPDATE table and database RELATIONSHIPS

    HI there, I have been trying to create an update table for
    weeks now and keep getting error messages.
    The database has a table named:
    "books" in the table cells are "idbook" and "book".
    "suppliers" in the table cells are "idsupplier" and
    "supplierName".
    "category" in the table cells are "idcategory" and
    categoryName"
    They all have a relationships with this table:
    "results" in the cells are "idbook", "idsupplier" and
    "idcategory".
    This "results" table brings all of the above tables together.
    When I try to do an update, i am doing one to the results
    table. Is this correct?
    The updates have problems because when drawing the text to
    the update table to view it comes in text form.
    When trying to update, it wont becuase all of the cells in
    the results table are numeric. This is because of the
    relationships.
    Can anyone suggest where i may be going wrong.
    Ask anything you need to.

  • How to update Table MKPF (MKPF-MBLNR)

    Can anyone help me on how can I update table MKPF? I'm trying to change the value of MKPF-MBLNR during GR Creation. (I created PO, then GR, then MIGO). So during GR creation, MKPF-MBLNR should be changed before going to MIGO. I just needed to modify MBLNR to do the offset of years depending on user input. I can not use BDC for this since this is a standard one.
    I tried to use this function CALL FUNCTION '/SAPHT/DRM_CALC_DATE' to modify the data of mblnr and created a custom function "CALL FUNCTION 'ZUPDATE_EQUIP_DATE' starting new task 'test'"... where it open a new task once there's an error in updating the value. But this one is limited since SAP only allows the maximum of 6 sessions only.So if the 6th session has been reached, it stops the process.
    Does anyone has a better idea regarding this?

    Sorry for a vague explanation... Let me rephrase, my requirement is to change the Valid from field in IQ02.
    So I create GR in MIGO. So from here, I wanted to manipulate the value of 'VALID FROM' field (MKPF-DATAB) to do some offset or addition based on user input. So during creation, the value that will be saved in MKPF is the one manipulated. So when you go to MIGO, and see the Valid FROM field, it will now show your manipulated data.
    Any help/idea is very much appreciated...

  • How to find last accessed/updated tables and the query text?

    I am using :
    Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.4.0 - Production
    With the Partitioning option
    JServer Release 8.1.7.4.0 - Production
    How to find last accessed/updated tables and the query text?
    Regards
    LEE1212

    Check DBA_TBALES view there you find one date column that indicate last update
    One option is as follows:
    (1) Turn the auditing on: AUDIT_TRAIL = true in init.ora
    (2) Restart the instance if its running.
    (3) Audit the table:
         AUDIT INSERT,SELECT,DELETE,UPDATE on TableName
         by ACCESS WHENEVER SUCCESSFUL
    (4) Get the desired information using :
         SELECT OBJ_NAME,ACTION_NAME ,to_char(timestamp,'dd/mm/yyyy , HH:MM:SS')
         from sys.dba_audit_object.

  • Is it possible to get the updated table records based on date & time.

    Is it possible to get the updated table records based on date & time in oracle.
    Thanks in advance.

    no, actually i am asking update records using 'UPDATE
    or DELETE' statement, but not insert statement.
    Is it possible?
    I think we can do using trigger on table, but problem
    is if i am having 20 tables means i have to write 20
    trigger. i don't want like this.Of course it's still possible, typically you'll find applications with a column LAST_UPDATE, probably a LAST_UPDATED_BY and so on column. You don't say what your business need is, if you just want a one of query of updates to particular records and have a recent version of Oracle, then flashback query may well help, if you want to record update timestamps you either have to modify the table, or write some code to store your updates in an audit table somewhere.

  • Update table a columns using columns from table b (values of 2 columns of table b need to taken from table c)

    Guys,
    I need to update table A columns col3, col4, col5 and col6 by table b columns col3, col4, col5 and col6 however table b col5 and col6 values need to come from table c col1.
    Means table b col5 and col6 have values in it however i need to replace them with value from table c col1 and need to update table a col5 and col6 accordingly.
    table a and table b has col1 and col2 in common.
    i am trying something like this.
    Update a
    a.col3 = b.col3,
    a.col4 = b.col4,
    a.col5 = (select col1 from table_c c where c.col2=b.col5),
    a.col6 = (select col1 from table_c c where c.col2=b.col6)
    from table_A a inner join table_b
    on  a.col1=b.col1 and a.col2=b.col2
    can someone help me reframe above update query?
    thanks in advance for your help.

    Try the below:(If you have multiple values, then you may need to use TOP 1 as commented code in the below script)
    create Table tableA(Col1 int,Col2 int,Col3 int,Col4 int,Col5 int,Col6 int)
    Insert into tableA values(1,2,3,4,5,6)
    create Table tableB(Col1 int,Col2 int,Col3 int,Col4 int,Col5 int,Col6 int)
    Insert into tableB values(1,2,30,40,50,60)
    create Table tableC(Col1 int,Col2 int,Col3 int,Col4 int,Col5 int,Col6 int)
    Insert into tableC values(100,50,30,40,2,2)
    --Insert into tableC values(200,50,30,40,2,2)
    Insert into tableC values(100,60,30,40,2,2)
    Select * From tablea
    Update a Set
    a.col3 = b.col3,
    a.col4 = b.col4,
    a.col5 = (select col1 from tablec c where c.col2=b.col5 ),
    a.col6 = (select col1 from tablec c where c.col2=b.col6 )
    from tableA a inner join tableb b
    on a.col1=b.col1 and a.col2=b.col2
    --Update a Set
    --a.col3 = b.col3,
    --a.col4 = b.col4,
    --a.col5 = (select Top 1 col1 from tablec c where c.col2=b.col5 Order by c.Col1 asc),
    --a.col6 = (select Top 1 col1 from tablec c where c.col2=b.col6 Order by c.Col1 asc)
    --from tableA a inner join tableb b
    --on a.col1=b.col1 and a.col2=b.col2
    Select * From tablea
    Drop table tablea,Tableb,TableC

  • Error in updating secondary stateful session bean

              Hi all,
              I have set up a cluster of 2 managed servers with WebLogic 6.1. I have a
              stateful session bean and several stateless session beans. the stateful
              session bean keeps user info and limited cached objects, all are
              serializable. it seems working fine, even after killing any one of the
              servers, as long as one is alive. a java application client creates a
              stateful session bean first, then calls stateless session beans with the
              remote interface of the stateful bean as a method parameter. No problem
              when stateful session bean is created. However, each stateless bean method
              generates the following error message if I turn the debug on (level 64). No
              exception stack traces, and all methods execute successfully.
              <Error> <EJB> <Failed to update the secondary copy of a stateful session
              bean from home:clientsession>
              I wonder what causes the error, and why it tries to update the stateful
              session bean. in all stateless session beans, only read into the stateful
              bean.
              Thank you,
              Fujin

    This has been fixed in WLS 6.1 SP2.

  • What are the Update tables?

    In LO Delta scenario, Data posted parallel into document tables and update tables. What are the Document tables? What are the Update tables?
    Give example for Application 11, which is document tables, and update tables?

    Hello Mannev,
    Document tables are the actual application tables where the data is posted when you post a document in R/3.
    Examples can be MSEG, VBRK etc.
    Update tables are the intermediate tables which store data read from document tables. The V3 runs collects deltas in form of LUWs from these update tables and populates the delta queues.
    hope this helps..
    thanks,
