Authorization synchronising

Hi,
I have a scenarion where I have created different user groups. Grp 1 can only view Doc type DOC and Grp 2 can view/change Doc Type REP, DOC, FOR.
My problem is new users in both groups cannot view the older Doc, because the document was created before they were granted access. When I check in a specific Document No in Auth Tab, I do not get the users. So somewhere along the line, I think I need to activate something that will synchronize my additions or delitions of users in specific groups with the Document(Authorization Tab). I am on ECC 6.0

Where is the ACL (if the inherit authorizations box), is it on Transaction or on IMG?
What will happen to the users that were not added after I have checked on the ACL, will the old users be added or only the newly added users will be added.

How to upload new songs while not wanting to synchronise?!?!! help!!!

i have an iPhone 3G and have had it for a little while now. I used to have a pc and uploaded songs from my pc to my iPhone. Now i changed from that PC to a laptop and just downloaded a new iTunes because i want to add some new songs. iTunes asks to synchronise my iPhone, which means (as far as i know) delete all the songs already on the iPhone and put the ones on the iPhone which you have in iTunes. I do want to keep the songs i already have on my iPhone but i also want new songs!! Any ideas of how i can put new songs from my laptop to my iPhone without synchronising????????!!!
help would be appreciated since it's kind of starting to annoy me now..

I have the same problem. I purchased a new computer apple gives u this thing where it can authorize the computer but wont allow you to use the music from your itunes #1 to put on itunes#2. I contacted apple support and was informed that it could be done yet he couldnt tell me b/c it wasnt supported by apple. He said it was via some third party company that it could be done and told me to come to this forum in hopes someone posted it. He also told me to try and google the answer and one final and last resort was to export the music from itunes #1 and place on a disk and upload that music to itune#2. Oh well not gonna work for me for my hard drive to itunes#1 is 300 miles away.
It's kinda strange that there was a situation where we could have put all this music on itunes#1 with the same phone not be able to be loaded onto a nother comupter what a waste!!!

Just one reason why maintaining a backup for all important data on your computer's hard drive is important - stored on an external drive or some other external media use for backup purposes only, which should include your documents, photos, and your iTunes library. This is important regardless the platform but even more so with Windows due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns. The iPhone is not designed to intended to be used as a backup storage device.
Did you lose all important data on your old computer's hard drive, or you had no other important data besides your iTunes library?
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only including 3rd party paid and free apps.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If a 3rd party app does not transfer, you can re-download the app with iTunes on your computer and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.

Can't authorize my iPhone on MacBook Pro

I am having no luck at connecting my iphone 4 with my new MacBook Pro. I think I hit a problem with having (inadvertently) set up more than one Apple ID. I have now consolidated into one account, but am still not being able to synchronise iphone with computer. I get a message saying the iphone is not authorised with this computer. I have de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it again, but still the same message .
Can anyone shed any light on how I get the iphone authorized with my computer?

You don't authorize/de-authorize devices, only computers, and you can't "consolidate" iTunes accounts. I suspect your problem is you have iTunes content on your phone obtained using one account that is not the same account logged into on your computer. To fix this you need to login to iTunes using the same account used on your phone, then authorize your computer for that account, then connect your phone, then File>Transfer Purchases.

Make sure Sync Apps is checked on the Apps tab of your iTunes sync settings and that all the apps are checked that you want on your phone. Also be sure that your computer is authorized for all Apple IDs used to purchase your apps (and other media) in Store>Authorize this Computer.

Smart Playlists - Synchronising

I have created a Smart Playlist that contains music I have loaded from my CD collection and music I have purchased from iTunes. The Smart Playlist is created OK with all the music I selected, both CD and Purchased. However, when I try to copy / synchronise the Smart Playlist to my iPod, it gives me a message that "Some of the items in the iTunes Library (listing the iTunes purchased items) were not copied to the iPod because you are not authorised to play them on this computer.
Can anyone help me to fix this problem please.

You need to authorize your computer. It is one of the options available from the menu bar.

J’ai acheté un macbook fin 2009 qui marche très bien. J’ai par ailleurs un iphone4. Depuis que
j’ai télécharge iOS 7.1.2 sur mon telephone, je n’arrive plus à synchroniser
mon iphone sur mon ordinateur. En effet, ma version d’itunes est trop ancienne
pour lire le contenu de mon iphone. Quand j’essaie de télécharger une version
plus récente d’itunes, on me dit que celle-ci n’est pas compatible avec le
software de mon mac (10.6..qqch comme ca). Je suis allé dans une boutique apple
pour demander a pouvoir installer un logiciel plus récent sur mon mac mais le
vendeur m’a prévenu que cela ralentirait énormément les capacités de mon
ordinateur.
Je fais donc appel a vous pour obtenir un moyen de synchroniser mon iphone sur mon mac.

Synchronisation Issue - iPad Mini

I can't any more synchronise my iPad...
It's always asking to authorise this computer when synchronising...
I already did it thousand of time, the answer is the computer is already authorised.
So what to do now?
My iPad is now running OS 8.0, unfortunately this problem persist.

Launch iTunes on your new computer then from the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
Try syncing.

Synchronising iPhone to iTunes - Problem!

Im having problems with some types of synchronisation between my iTunes and iPhone on my computer at home. I have bought apps that are larger than 10MB meaning i have to download it to my iPhone through iTunes. When I try I get an error message saying my comp is not authorized. I hit the button saying authorize and it states my comp is already authorized. I dont always have this problem, when i for example, buy an album (not form iTunes Store) and download it to iTunes i can just drag it to my iPhone when connected, no problem. i cant find any solution to the problem on www.apple.com but Ive heard of peeps having similar problems. Note, I also have an iPod, no problem there.
I anyone has a solution for me I would greatly appreciate it!

large Apps cannot be downloaded via 3G - you could still download to your iPhone directly, but only if connected to wifi.

First de-authorise the computer, then reboot, then re-authorise the computer. That normally sorts it out. You can add any music easily as you are doing from non-iTunes sources, as they are not tied to a particular account and iTunes doesn't care where they come from. Apps are tied to a specific iTunes account so if the account details are unclear for any reason, they won't download.

Assuming your computer is authorized(Store>Authorize this Computer), iTunes running, your phone connected, File>Transfer Purchases.

Maintaining Backend roles and frontend roles(synchronising)

hello all,
I have a problem, and thats how will I maintain properly both backend roles in R/3 and frontend roles on the PORTAL? like ESS/MM ROLES for portal?
What I mean I can set them up, but I am worried on that if we setup a role for the backend we may not always remember to set up the backend roles if you know what I mean?
we use a template which has the role mapping i.e backend and frontend but how do we succesfully synchronise these 2 roles for each users, as each user will always have both roles setup, but worry is sometimes they wont be IN SYNC with each other?
this is worrying, any ideas?

Contact details after synchronisation

I have installed the Blackberry desktop software on my Macbook Pro yesterday and immediately synchronised it. Now I seem to have lost all contacts, at least my phonelist is completely blank. Any tips on how to get back my address book?

Here's the deal, the iphone, by design, will sync itunes content with ONE computer at a time. Since you don't have any content on your phone, there's nothing to lose in this regard. So, let's get what contacts you have on your old computer back on your phone & transferred to your new computer.
Do the following:
First, disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected in itunes, under preferences, for BOTH computers.
Next, put at least one contact on your phone, it can be fake, doesn't matter. Do the same in address book on your NEW computer.
On your new computer, launch isync & select reset sync history, when complete, restart your NEW computer.
Next, connect your phone, itunes running, on your OLD computer, DO NOT SYNC, right click the phone in the device pane & select "Reset Warnings".
Under the Info pane, make sure that sync address book contacts & all contacts is selected.
Sync your phone, you should get a popup asking to merge or replace contacts, select merge.
When complete, verify that your contacts are now on your phone. If so, proceed:
Connect your phone to your NEW computer, itunes running, DO NOT SYNC.
Right click the phone in the device pane and select reset warnings.
Next, go up to Store>Authorize this Computer.
Go up to File>Transfer Purchases(In case you have any purchased content).
Make sure that under the info pane the same is selected regarding your contacts as was selected on your old computer.
Sync, again, you should get a popup asking to merge or replace, select merge regarding your contacts.
Verify your contacts are in address book on your new computer.
Buy some content & enjoy your phone.

Is there any chance to control the user to open and close another company code posting period variant in TCODE: S_ALR_87003642.
In our system we are using the same client for different countries. So user can able to change the other country company code posting periods.
We would like to control either on the country (or) organizational unit(company code) (or) posting period variant so that user can only open/close their country / company code posting periods.
Our present authorization role for open and close posting period contain the auth.Obj. : S_TABU_DIS.
Please share your knowledge if you come across this problem..

Analysis Authorization in BO 4.0 Webi report

Hi All,
I am using BO 4.0 and creating connection from Information Design tool to a BW query using BICS client. This connection is then published to CMC.
We are using SAP authentication and importing the roles from BW system. We have added profiles to this role and these profiles have Analysis Authorization set on Company Code. So one user can access data to one company code and vice versa. Now this works well in Bex Analyzer, but if I try to create a report in Webi, the analysis authorization fails. I went through the forum before posting this question and I found that is in 3.1 version and in most cases using SSO in universe connection solved the problem.
However in 4.0 I am using BICS client and followed the same processes to create a connection but for some reason it doesn't work ? Is this suppose to work differently in 4.0 ?
I have tried:
1. To create connection in Information Design tool using SSO, selecting user ID and password. It doesn't work.
2. Checked the Bex query and it already has Company code as a Characteristic restrictions (I have made it a mandatory variable).
3. Publish the connection to CMC with my Enterprise and SAP ID and in both cases it doesn't work.
Please let me know if anyone encountered a similar issue and what is the best method to resolve this.
(BO 4.0 no service pack or fix pack installed on the system yet)

Using the other method to create a connection with User ID and password, I can create a connection and with the normal user login I can connect to the BW query but Analysis Authorization doesn't work.
Ingo : Could you be more specific what you mean here with the different users ? When you say "regular" user are you referring to an SAP credentials or SAP BusinessObjects Enteprrise credentials ?
