Automation of Form import

I have a simple form.
I have multiple xml files sent through email generated by users filling in the same form.
I want to know if there is a way to have Acrobat Pro (7) get all those xml files, fill in the form data and save each instance as a separate pdf file.
Currently am having to do this manually and individually. I am not a scripting wiz and cannot see an opportunity in the batch processing feature.
The form data and Acrobat 7 are collected and running in Mac OSX 10.3x

URGENT: Form Import FAILED with Unable to generate UI form: ORA-0650

I am importing application components from one installation of portal 3.0.9.8 to another installation. Both installed versions of POrtal are the same.
The application name is PROFILE_APP. I have created this same app with same specifications as in source, in the target portal instance.
To import, I am using the SQL scripts generated through portal using the "Export" feature available for each component.
I could successfully import LOV into this app from source to target by running the above generated SQL. When i run the SQL for the form component in the target - i get the following error :

The form worked successfully in the source instance.

Form CustomForm_791b1adc_97fd_4de1_a077_646a418fe59b extends form Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.ChangeManagement.Forms.ChangeRequestForm, which already has another extension (CustomForm_3e2fd77f_cfed_40f9_9def_c6735078bf2a).
you already have a form customization that extends the change request form, and this MP is also importing a different customization to the same form. each form can only have one customization.

Why don't my pdf forms import into Word or Pages properly?

Why is it that when I create a form in Acrobat Pro, fill it out and save it as a pdf file, and then import or place the saved file in either a Word or Pages document that ONLY the form fields are visible and not the filled in data? I've tried everything I know and it happens each time. Thanks.

Have you actually tried to do it in a PC Version. Usually it’s the other way round. Usually something can be done with little effort in PC Version, and not in Mac version. Or is PIA to do in the Mac version. Adobe takes as little effort as possibly with the Mac version of any of their products. They and many companies still have the notion for anyone that wants to do serious work, you use a PC. Mac's are considered play toys.
If given the proper software with equal features a Mac is more than capable of handling any job a PC can.

I have no idea what "Oracle Hetrogenius Services" is, so I can't help you with that, sorry.
SQL Developer might also assist you. SQL Developer can connect to SQL Server as well as Oracle and has some tools for migration. See the documentation for details:

Pdf form imported to be Interactive in WDA?

Hello WDA Group,
   I have a .pdf file that was created in Netweaver Dev Studio. The XML file is also available. Is it possible to somehow put this somewhere.... possibly in a MIME folder for a specific WDA, then import and use it as an Adobe Interactive Form? In a related aspect, I heard something along the lines.that Netweaver compiles in 64Bit, and that the file format will have to be converted to accomodate SAP GUI/WDA.
   I found: Re: How to show a simple PDF? But the file I am speaking of is interactive and contains approx. 40 different fields that looks like a huge puzzle. I would rather not have to re-create them, if possible.
   WDA is all new to me, so step-by-step directions would be appreciated.

So i dont think Interactive Froms can be imported into WDA. Only Print forms can be uploaded in WDA for displaying data only.

Combining Text in Automator for Excel import.

I'm attempting to create an automator workflow that will string some text together so that it can be imported into an Excel worksheet. Here's my workflow so far.
• New Text File
Creates file temp.txt
• Run AppleScript
Opens file temp.txt
• Get Specified Text (specified text below)
Read Today
Read Tomorrow
Read This Week
Read This Month
• Filter Paragraphs (needed so the text is not treated as one big line of text and is displayed in the next step correctly)
Return Paragraphs that are not empty
• Choose from List (all 4 items displayed correctly, all selected by default)
Select one item
• Set Contents of TextEdit Document (temp.txt) (append)
• Get Specified Text (specified text below (a semi-colon))
• Set Contents of TextEdit Document (temp.txt) (append)

So, all my content has arrived here, but on three different lines. But because it is on three different lines, it does not import into Excel correctly. I can't concatenate this using the usual AppleScript method because I would have to declare these items as variables. I've tried various ideas, but I cannot get the three above to append to one line, like this…

Well, it is good to know that it can be done in Applescript, though I have not found a way to accomplish this. All examples I have seen (Googling and AppleScript 1-2-3 book) use set statements using static strings, and then concatenating those statements together. Since my values are dynamic, those examples don't help.

2 Problems with PDF Forms: Import and Launcing PDF Form in Browser

We are installing SAP sersion 2004s and I have encountered 2 problems while working through several tutorials.
1. When Adobe Designer opens from the layout in SE80, the IMPORT option (under TOOLS) does not appear. Is there an installation step(s) missing?
2. I created a simple Adobe Interactive form based on T. Jung's demo (but without the imported PDF form). Enabled is on and the binding is ok; yet, when I test the application the browser displays only a blank screen. Other Web Dynpro for ABAP tutorials have worked fine, but not the Adobe Forms. Again, is there an installation step(s) missing?

First make sure that you have the correct version of the Adobe Lifecycle Designer installed. I am running 7.0.050519.0. There are some OSS notes on how to upgrade to the 7.X version of the designer.
On the second problem, you probably don't have the correct version of the ACF installed. The ACF (Active Control Framework) is only used when running Interactive PDF documents - not print version ones. Have a look at OSS note 766191 and 846952. I had to uninstall my current ACF and install the 04S SP7 version (according to the two notes listed) before I could build the demo in question.

WordPress install of Forms / Import PDF

Hi,
We have encountered a couple of issues and I'd be very grateful if you someone could shed light on a solution. Our design team have designed a template for multiple forms that we wish to run onsite, and have been created via PDF. When we try and import these into the system with form integration they load fine. When the form is then visible on the site, everything works fine except the SUBMIT button which seems to be inactive.
The other option is to embed the form, however, if you import a design that appears to not be an option. Has anyone else had a similar issue or problem and found a soltuion?

You can't make this work, you will need to start with creating the form in FormsCentral if you want it filled out online, or embedded into your web site. If you start with a PDF you do not get a web version of the form. There is nothing else to do about it.
If you want to use a web form you should create the form from scratch (or start from one of our Templates) and then you will have the option of a HTML form and the option to embed that HTML form into your own web site.

Web Form Import From Excel Error

Hi all,
I've an issue regarding the import from Excel function in HFM (9.3.1) web forms.
First of all I export in Excel a form, I input data in yellow cells and then I save the file (I don't change the file extencion that remains xls).
Finally I try to import the modified form by using Import from Excel function.
Once the system finish to load shows me a windows saying that "The data have been saved to the DB" (or something similar) but when I open the web form there are no data.
I've checked carefully the POV and it's the same and I'm using an administrative user.
What can I try to do to fix this issue?? Am i doing something wrong?

We submitted a bug report about this in May, 2009.
Bug.7381401--- DATA'S NOT GETTING UPDATED AFTER IMPORT WDEF FROM EXCEL 2007.
After updating from 9.3.1 to 9.3.3, the issue has been resolved. I would assume the bug detail is unpublished, which is unfortunate as this info would pop up in a search of the Oracle Support KB and help out others with the same issue.

Still using XP Pro, can I "print to file" (option) an online bank form, import to Adobe Reader XI, sign it and email it as attachment, without printing first?

I am told by my bank's customer service rep, who believes that "print to PDF" is available in Windows 7, there should be a way to import a form or document to Adobe Reader XI, sign it and save the result in order to email as attachment. I am trying to avoid using a fax machine or a scanner, not yet set up. In addition, Windows 7 is in process of being loaded on another laptop, but not yet complete.

"print to PDF" from what? If the form is already a fillable PDF, then just fill it, save it, and send it via email (or share via Files at https://cloud.acrobat.com/).

How is data captured by an online form imported into a database?

My understanding of forms in GoLive is that you normally send the data entered by the user, e.g. his name and address, etc, as an email to a designated address using a server side script.
What is the usual way to handle the torrent of emails that might result from such a form? Are there any ways to automate the import of the data from these emails into a database such as MS Access?

Hi David (and Michael),
A new version of ProcessForm is (finally) under development that will have more/better data exporting options, but currently, it can only export the data to a text file or a MySQL database. I'd assume there are similar options floating around to do similar things for MS SQL, but I don't have any specific recommendations, sorry :-(
If nothing else, you might find something that can store form submissions in a format that's easy to later import into your database (tab text, XML, etc.)

I wanted to ask what your advice would be with regard the
best way of
preventing the automated submission of forms on a web site?
We have tried using form validation, but it seems that the
spammers have
already sussed this and are submitting valid data, albeit it
is usually
something along the lines of:
Name: wuehtasdgadfl
Title: ahadlf
Address: audhliuhwerlj
City: akjsdhiehrlj
Email: [email protected]
What is the best way to stop this happening? Or at least
reduce it!

No. That's client-side validation using javascript. It's
vulnerable in
that disabling js in the browser will still allow you to
submit the form,
but will not do any validation. The automated bots that spam
your forms
don't do the validation when it's client side.
By server-side validation, I mean to submit the form to an
ASP, PHP, CF,
CGI, etc., script that actually examines the contents of each
field and
decides whether to send the email.

If the 'spammer' is a human reading the instructions and
submitting the
form, you can't do anything about it. I think that's not the
case with
these things though.

Declaration for smart form importing structure

I have to create a structure for smart form to declare it in the smart form interface (importing ) .The structure should be of the type below. I tried but getting type mismatch dump ....please help
DATA: BEGIN OF ZISEG OCCURS 20.
        INCLUDE STRUCTURE ISEG.
DATA: BTEXT LIKE T064B-BTEXT.
DATA: GIDAT LIKE IKPF-GIDAT.

sorry my answer was incomplete.You need to declare two structures,one for u r data retrival(including other 4 fields) and other for the smartform(same as DDIC structure).After retrieving you need to transfer the data from one table to other.

Adobe Forms Import

Dears,
I am having ECC5 server that contains ABAP stack only.
My query is that I want to import Adobe reports in the system.Now I want to confirm can we do this import as my server is having ABAP stack only,If Yes then what steps i need to follow like any configuration step
to import these reports successfully.
Please suggest.

you'll need a configured ADS (on Java stack) at least to activate the PDF, the import only is useless...
