Availability of Tuxedo 8 download from OTN

Hi,
We have an old product that integrates with Tuxedo 8 that we need to do some work on and we can no longer find the Tuxedo 8 installers that were used at the time.
Is there a way to get installers for multiple platforms for this version from OTN?
Looking at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17973_01/platforms/tuxedoplatforms/tuxplats/index.html, I see that 8.0 is not even listed.

Unfortunately no. There is no Oracle download site the Tuxedo 8.0 installers.
OTN only provides the latest release downloads for Tuxedo(e.g 11gR1)

An alternative for older installers is the Edelivery website but it only goes back a couple of releases (e.g. 10.0) from the latest.

Note: Tuxedo 9.1 premier support ends next month(i.e. June) and extended support ends June 2014.

Licensed version and free download from OTN of Oracle 10g DB

I had a doubt with any difference with the licensed version and free download from OTN of Oracle 10g DB. We had downloaded a free version of oracle 10g
database from OTN and are using it in our live environment. It seems to be working fine. We are trying to get a licensed copy of Oracle 10g DB also but that may take sometime. So, my doubt is whether the free download from OTN should not create any problems in our live environment.
I hope, my question is clear.
Please, help in solving the doubt.

There is no difference whether you download from OTN or get so called licensed copy of oracle software. It's free to download and free to use you are using for personal eduction purpose, but if you are using for commercial purpose then you should contact oracle sales for pricing but you can continue with the same software. Download from OTN with 20 kB/sec only

For about 3 months my download from OTN-UK is slow with about 20 kB/sec. About half a year ago I downloaded with 1.5 MB/sec. What has happened? Does not matter if I download at 8AM (CET) or 3PM (CET). Metalink download is with about 200-300 kB/sec for me (so not a problem at my end).

No. You would require a PC in order to run the executable which is an installer, not a disc image or an archive.

Patch download from OTN

Hi,
Would it be possible to make the oracle RDBMS patches available for downloading from the OTN-site?
I've tried many times to download the 8.1.7.2 patch for AIX from metalink, but the download (260 MB) crashes after a few MB's. (I am in Gabon, Afrika, with not very stable internet connection).
I haven't been able to get any resuming download manager to work with the site.
From the OTN site however, I can download big files, because my download manager can resume files from this site. If the patches were on the same server, I could download them.
Sending patches via mail, on cd, is not an option, because mail can take months, and even not arrive at all here.

The list of [OPN benefits|http://www.oracle.com/partners/home/why_allusers/en/assess.html] on the Oracle Partner site is probably the first place to look.
OPN members do get Metalink access, which does technically allow you to download patchsets. It does not, however, give you a license for those patchsets (i.e. you still need to have a proper production license and a proper support license).

We are not aware of any problems with the download service at this time. Please make sure you are not behind any firewall or proxy server that may be interrupting your transfer from OTN.

Imported tracks not available in playlists until download from cloud

Sometimes, playlists made of tracks imported from my CDs are not available to sync with iPhones or iPads. When I look at the tracks in My Music, they all have the cloud symbol by them. I can't get a playlist that includes them to sync to phone until I download from the cloud. Any idea why I have to do that? The tracks started out as imports on my PC in the first place. (If anyone can point me to good complete description oh how iTunes on PC works with the cloud, that would be very helpful.)

To sync your music you iphone, the music needs to be physically in you iTunes library on your computer. So you will need to download then. Where do you keep the originals of the tracks as they would have had to be on your computer when you subscribed to match?
Your alternative is to turn on match so that all your music will be available from the cloud. You have the option to download tracks for use when you have no wifi connection.

Safari 4.0.1 not available as a dmg download from Support Downloads page

Generally all downloads available via Software Update are themselves available via the Support Download page http://support.apple.com/downloads/
I note that as of this morning (Perth Western Australia time) Safari 4.0.1 is still not yet listed. Is that common for Apple to miss adding updates to that page?

Yep, I know that Software Update does that. My point is that every update I have ever applied is normally always available as an installer on the Support Download page. I'm a bit gun shy of Software Update having experienced some problems in the past and choose to apply all my updates after downloading them from the Support Download page. Call me a bit paranoid if you like but once burned forever careful. It's just odd that Safari 4.0.1 is conspicuous by its absence on that page.

Install 8.1.7 downloaded from otn??

Hi,
Has anybody installed 8.1.7 for linux (RH7) that has been downloaded from this otn site? I downloaded the 8.1.7ee.tar file from the OTN site and I do not know how to install it (as there is no GUI installer in this tar file).
Any help appreciated....

I tried to install 8.1.7 Enterprise on RedHat7.0. Don't work. Knows anyone something about compatibility between RedHat7.0 and Network problems. I get the error message End-of-Comunication-Channel at innitalizing Database.

Corrupt file downloaded from OTN

Cannot open file - it does not appear to be a valid archive.
The download completes without error. However OTN indicates a file size of approx 500M yet the downloaded file is 179,512k.
Is the OTN file corrupt ? or is the download corrupting the file ?
Is there an FTP site I can download from ?

What you say cannot be because this is a package for Corporate use with drivers for an entire series of printers. They surely know that an IT department would store the files on some file server. I can understand why FF has all of its Open options greyed out. It intelligently senses that the file is missing, and it is not too difficult to program.

Downloading from OTN at 15KB/sec?

For several days I have been trying to download a file from OTN, but the transfer rate is so low that the file never comes.
I believe there is a problem with the server "download-uk.oracle.com", since the transfer rate is allways approximately 15Kb/Sec...
I have checked with our network administrator who told me that the problem is probably at the origin, that is, at the server.
I'm trying to download the following file:

About Utilities downloaded from OTN

Can 9i utilities for xml like XDK be downloaded from the OTN site and directly used with a licensed version of Oracle 8i (R2) used for production database? Or does it need production licensed version? If yes, how can I obtain that? I do not want to purchase 9i just for that XDK kit.

TP4 / ADF Rich client demo just downloaded from otn / 41 compiling errors !

I just downloaded ADF Riche client demo and installed it jdev tp4.
Rebuild causes 41 compilation errors and the application is not runnable.
Is it a way to solve this ?
Some of the errors:

Forget about it ... downloading again and reinstalling it without any errors ... may be i downloaded from an older link or do some bad copy ... sorry disturbing you !
