Avoiding tag-rendering before Spry kicks in?

Is there a way to avoid displaying the raw HTML before Spry
does its thing? In an accordion showing XML data elements {title}
and {description}, for example, you'll see {title} and
{description} first before the accordion is drawn with those items
replaced by the appropriate data.
I'm loading a heavy background picture, which slows
everything down, so perhaps that makes it more obvious, but, still,
any method for avoiding the tag display would be welcome. Even in
sample pages you can see a flicker of the pre-Spry HTML.
See
www.taradeal.com/pow.html
(may not work in IE6 right now).
Thanks,

Add the class SpryHiddenRegion to your region
than in your css add .SpryHiddenRegion { visibility:hidden;

  • 'project must be rendered before it can be encoded'

    Why do I always get the message 'project must be rendered before it can be encoded' when I try to export using quicktime conversion to product an mpeg2 for DVD Studio Pro?

    Beeeeeecause the project must be rendered before it can be encoded.
    Based on my experience, this is the workflow you should use for going from Final Cut Pro to DVD:
    1. Finish your project. You'd be amazed how many people forget this step.
    2. Export a QuickTime reference movie. That is to say, do "Export" then "QuickTime Movie," but leave the "make self-contained" box unchecked.
    3. Drop the resulting QuickTime onto Compressor.
    4. Select one of the DVD encoding presets, based on the length of your material. Use one of these:
    DVD: Best Quality 150 minutes
    DVD: Best Quality 120 minutes
    DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes
    5. The encode will go as fast as it can, depending on how you set up Compressor. If you're using eight processors, it'll go pretty darned fast.
    6. Drop the resulting ".m2v" and ".ac3" files onto the "assets" window in DVD Studio Pro. Place them on a track, and finish your DVD just like you would under any other circumstances.

    That's going to be a ridiculous waste of money and energy.
    First of all, the current ATI drivers don't support multiple GPUs, so at the moment even a single 4870X2 would be only a 'normal' 4870 (which is quite a speed beast already). GFX drivers evolve rapidly, so things might look different next month, but when it comes to Linux and hardware there's one Golden Rule: stay away from the newest stuff and wait for proper support to get coded.
    I also wonder what power supply could possibly cope with the differences between idle and full load; that's way beyond 400W. But then, I'm one of those "quiet&green" types where >100W idle is already a bit much.
    I kind of understand that you want to get it done and not worry about hardware for the next 10 years or so, but that's simply not how the hardware world works and never did. At least not for the average consumer.

  • "movie must be rendered before it can be encoded"

    Hey all...
    I'm trying to export to mpeg2 or otherwise to Quicktime so I can burn a dvd.
    Now with the first I get the message that "this movie must be rendered before it can be encoded"
    in QT conversion with mpeg2 selected. There are no red lines indicating a rendering need.
    I didn't have this problem when I first exported but when I added a mp3 file it started
    acting this way.
    Can somebody please let me know what the heck i'm now doing wrong?
    Thanks!
    Ann

    Red is only one type of render set. There are many others. Make sure full is checked on in Render All and then press Opt-R.
    It would be good to know what versions of the software, QuickTime and OS you're using. MPEG-2 export is no longer available in FCP.
    Compressed audio like MP3 should not be used in Final Cut.

  • Any way to avoid Pre-Rendering?

    Hello Community,
    So I've been working with adobe audition since 5.5 and have upgraded as the updates came out.
    The music I've been making usually consist of 10 to 15 tracks, 32-bit (float), and 192000 Hz.
    The only way for me to edit without hearing pops and crackles is to pre-render everything. I have the task manager up while I work and it doesn't look like my CPU is being worked that hard. I have an i7-4930k overclocked to 4.5Ghz, 32GB of RAM at 2400 mhz, the OS is on a RAID-0 configuration, Audition is on a separate SDD and I have the footage on another HDD.
    I was wondering if there was a way for me to avoid pre-rendering and still not hear the pops and crackles.
    Do I need a sound card to avoid this?
    Am I rendering my audio with bad settings?
    Is my drive configuration not optimized correctly?
    Thanks for the help,
    Arren

    Is this music for bats? You are asking the streaming system to do at least twice as much work as even a hopeless optimist working at 96k would, and even they are recording nothing but noise on half of their disk space!

    The bit I bolded frightened me most. Are you seriously trying to use on-board sound to sample at 192k??? That's positively insane! On-board sound devices are of incredibly poor quality, and almost certainly don't run natively at this rate anyway, so there will be on-the-fly resampling going on. This wrecks the sound quality beyond belief.
    Humans can hear (if they're really young) up to about 20kHz - this figure drops considerably in adults due to presbycusis. To sample audio past the highest point humans can hear requires a sampling rate of no more than 44.1kHz. There used to be arguments about higher sample rates 'sounding' better, but with modern sound devices that oversample rather than using brick-wall filters, there is absolutely no benefit whatsoever to going beyond this. And the sample rate only affects the highest frequency that can be recorded (half of the sample rate, known as the Nyquist frequency) - doesn't alter anything else to do with 'quality' or anything else.
    What it does mean though is that you can spare your drives a lot of hard work. The reason that you are hearing clicks whilst the computer's only ticking over is simply because you are trying to stream four times as much data as you need to. The other thing I discovered recently is that over clocking is sometimes detrimental to system performance in strange ways. If the processor isn't working hard then you simply don't need to over-clock it - you're just warming it up more!
    If you are going to do any serious work with Audition at all, you need an external sound device, yes. The quality of these, even the cheaper ones, is significantly better than any on-board device.

  • Avoiding multiple renders when printing to tape

    I'm currently using FCEHD 3.5 and working in HDV. When I print to tape in HDV, it can take quite a bit of time for FCE to render the file it is going to output to the tape.
    If I wanted to create multiple tapes of the same file, is there a way to avoid rendering each time before I print?
    In other words, can I export/render the movie once, then print the exported file to tape? If so, how?

    Hi(Bonjour)!
    Yes, alas HDV needs rendering each time when you "print to tape" .
    That's because FCE process HDV by converting it to "Apple Intermediate Codec" upon capturing (the same thing for iMovie HD), and printing to tape needs the reverse process: converting from Apple intermediate Codec to HDV (mpeg 2 in reality, with GOP-group of images- at each .5 second).
    Final Cut Pro can read and print HDV natively.
    Give a look to:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=493862&tstart=0
    One workaround for your needs, is to connect 2 HDV camcorders together and record from one to another.

  • Table appears for a second before spry Master/Detail loads

    Hi!
    I'm using the Spry Master/Detail function on a page to display an interactive version of the table on the same page. On browser load, the table is briefly displayed before it is replaced by the Spry interactive table. Is there any way to avoid this? It looks kinda hokey.
    ps I know I could avoid it by putting the table on another page, but then it wouldn't be searchable.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry for butting in, Hi Beth,
    Considering the number of images that have to be loaded before the data can be displayed, the page is quite fast.
    There are a couple of things that can be done to make it load faster and to give it a feel that is is loading faster.
    To make it run faster consider
    compressing components with GZip, see here http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#gzip
    placing expiry headers on images, css and js see here http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#expires
    place the reference to js files further down, see here http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#js_bottom
    use a Content Delivery Network, see here http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/rules.html#cdn
    To make it feel as though it runs faster, hide the contents until the data has been processed and issue a message or loading bar to that extent.
    1. add the following style rule to make use of the SpryHiddenRegion feature
    .SpryHiddenRegion {visibility:hidden;}
    2. change the first part of the Master/Detail region to
      <div class="MasterDetail">
        <div spry:region="dsepimediums">
         <div spry:state="loading" align="center"><h2>Loading data, please wait ...</h2></div>
          <div spry:state="ready">
            <div class="MasterContainer">
              <div class="MasterColumn" spry:repeat="dsepimediums" spry:setrow="dsepimediums" spry:hover="MasterColumnHover" spry:select="MasterColumnSelected"><span spry:content="{Plant_Name}"></span></div>
            </div>
          </div>
        </div>
        <div spry:detailregion="dsepimediums" class="DetailContainer SpryHiddenRegion">
          <div class="DetailColumn"><h2>{Plant_Name}</h2></div>
    Here we are making use of the various states that Spry goes through see here http://livedocs.adobe.com/en_US/Spry/1.4/help.html?content=WSFC2EB69F-9F15-4005-A993-B7667 BA7EB75.html

    My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Do clips need to be rendered before exporting project to video camera?

    I am in the process of exporting an Imovie project back to my video camera for storage on a tape. When I start the export process I get a message that says clips need to be rendered prior to exporting. When I click the button to render clips Imovie goes through the process of rendering the clips and after several minutes the Imovie project starts to export to the camera and runs for about 2 seconds and the Imovie quits.
    Imovie also gives the option of not rendering the clips.
    Do i need to render the clips before exporting them to my video camera?
    iMac4,1   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Intel Core Duo, 1.83 GHz

    Does the project reside on an external drive? If so, make sure the drive uses the Mac OS Extended disk format, which iMovie requires.
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=4176921#4176921
    The crashes are most likely occurring because of external factors, not because of a flawed rendering routine. These can include the wrong disk format, QuickTime add-ons and obsolete iMovie plug-ins.

    Do i need to render the clips before exporting them to my video camera?
    It may depend on what type of clips they are. If they are photos imported with the Ken Burn checkbox turned OFF — which are not rendered as they are imported — iMovie will ask to render them. Do NOT allow iMovie to render the photos at this time for there's a bug that adds lots of jaggies to the images, reducing their quality.

  • Choosing the correct compression to avoid constant rendering??

    Hello all. I am working on a project involving one long video file on my timeline where I am simply using scale and opacity keyframing to demonstrate something. My issue is that every time I make a new key frame, I have to render the entire clip all over again. And at ~26:00 per render per key frame... you get my drift.
    My sequence setting is Apple Intermediate Codec 720p30 and my footage is a .MOV with Animation compressor.
    Is there a format I can convert the original footage to with MPEG Streamclip, perhaps, that will avoid me having to render all video for every tiny change?

    Hi -
    I assume this is some kind of graphics software output?
    Create a new sequence with the sequence settings you want.
    Drop the clip on that timeline.
    Go to the menu File > Export > Quicktime Movie and Export the entire clip. It will take the 26 or more minutes to render and export it.
    Once it it exported, then import that newly created clip and work with that. It should not require rendering on your timeline, until you create an effect that is beyond the real-time capabilities of your computer.
    As a tip, every time you get an effect set and rendered, use the blade tool to cut the timeline after the effect. This will create a boundary that will keep any future manipulation from affecting the work you have already done, and you won't have to re-render from the start.

  • Div tag rendering issue in GroupLayout

    Hi,
    In my jspx page I have div tag to contruct a box with header inside that I am showing some data.
    So I have div class="planHeaderBox" in panelGroupLayout in my jspx1 page and this grouplayout will be refreshed from my bean class when ever I click on button in jspx1 page.
    Issue is every time I click on the button div tage is rendering and adding the headerbox in page(multiple boxes are coming), So how do I make div tag to be executed only once and when ever I click on button
    only the data should get refreshed not the div tag. Do I need to use switcher or any other way do I have?
    Please provide your inputs.
    Thanks in advance.

    That is the reason why you shouldn't do this.
    Can't you get your design using adf tags only?

  • Images loading before spry basic slide show

    I'm using the "Spry Basic Slideshow" widget developed by the Adobe team, version 1.0, as found in the Widget Browser.  It works beautifully.  My only question is that on the iPad [and only on the iPad, the iPhone doesn't exhibit this behaviour!], all the images in the slideshow appear before the slideshow is activated so there is a moment when the images appear under each other and fill the page.  Then the rest of the page loads and all the images disappear and start only showing up as they are meant to in the slideshow area.  Is there any way of preventing this?
    http://www.towerltg.com/indexSlideShow.php
    I've not made any changes to the files as they were initially issued with the exception of making my own control icons for play, pause, previous and next.
    Thanks!

    Your spry assets folder MUST be in the same folder as that of your webpage with the slideshow (html, php... whatever)
    Check your folder configuration on the server by clicking on the "Remote Button" on the DW Assets Tab.
    Example 1:  This will not work:
    WEBPAGE HERE:    /server/public/myfolder/slideshow.html
    SPRY ASSETS HERE:  /server/public/SpryAssets/....your javascript files
    Example 2: This will work:
    WEB PAGE HERE:  /server/public/myfolder/slideshow.html
