AWT Labels with Action Listner
Hi ,
I'm doing some programming for parm pc using java 1.1.8, I have use some labels to act as http links by anabling the mouslistener (mouseClick() -> Event) but in palm this mouse click is not working perfectly but the actionlistner for buttons are running as in PC , SO can anyone know how to add a actionlistener to a Label
try it this way:
you know where your label is placed. if a mouseclick is registered the event contains the mouseposition too, ok?
now test wether the mouseposition is in the bounds of the label.
example
int x=Event.x;
int y=Event.y;
Rectangle r=label1.getBounds(); //this returns a Rectangle
if(r.conatins(x,y)).... // do whatever you wanttry it, I hope it works

We need to have a rectangular box with few buttons in it.
Now in case of multiple boxes we need to call a method on the click of these individual boxes.
I tried to find any layout components in ADF with Action Listener property, but was not able to find one.

Drag and Drop Labels with line interconnected
Dear all,
As before, I use java.awt.dnd objects and java.awt.datatransfer objects to help me to drag and drop some labels with right-click my mouse.
Now I would like to left-click my mouse to draw a line between the two labels by pressing the left-click on label 1 and drag and drop to label 2. Then I would like to see a now line created betwwen label 1 and 2. I have an idea to addMouseListener and addMouseMotionListener on the labels to get the position of the labels and draw a line with the position. But I found that both right-click and left-click can trigger this event. Can I give some restriction on that so only left-click can trigger this event.
Also I cannot do it successfully as I found that after I rewrite the paintComponent method, the older image cannot be cleared and make the screen become verbose. Do I missing something on rewrite the paintComponent method? Also do you have any other suggestion on the task of drawing a line between the 2 labels?

You simply add a test like that in your Mouse(Motion)Listener's methods :

I have a label (java.awt.Label) and I want to put the background transparent, so if i move it over other elements, one can only see the text and not the background.

Then myTable.getCellRenderer(int row, int column), and in the renderer you look for the colour. -
Dynamic Labels with Datepicker..
Hiya folks,
I need to have a dynamic label for a page item, and am coming up lacking....
Here is the situation:
APEX 4.0, running on Oracle 10g..
I have a datepicker control (item is a due date). I am using a hidden item to store the label and I setup the value of this item when it is displayed via a simple sql select.
If the due date is PAST the system date, then I set the label to Item Is Past Due.
If the item due date is within 7 days of the system date I change the label to Item Due within 7 Days.
If none of these are true then I set the label to Due Date.
However, if the user changes the date via the datepicker, I need to have the label updated (and the the hidden item) to show the change (or not).
I tried a dynamic action on the datepicker, but it did not seem to fire on a change event always, and would NOT refresh the label with the new value.
Do I need to submit the page to get the label to update?

If you need to refresh a page item, without submitting the page, based on a result of a SQL query, it seems that your only option is to use AJAX (as the SQL can only run on the server side, and you don’t want to submit the page).
The old, but still good, fashion way is to define an onchange event on the Datepicker item. This event is fired every time a changed value is passed from the Datepicker into the input field of the item. Simple and effective.
I’m no expert in Dynamic Actions but I can tell you that if you set the When Event to Change it is fired when the Datepicker changes the current date. With the Action option of Execute JavaScript Code you can probably also trigger an AJAX process.

No. You can use AJAX, either directly or through DA.

I figured it out. :P It might help other who deal with dynamic Faces. DON'T include form within form. Check html code generated by your program if is form within form then it is bad. get rid of all forms there can only be one form for all components. i.e.
TextInput custom control has its own form
You embedded this control in your page them it inherit its "form" tag too. Keep this in mind

I'm Looking for an idea to call action listner or other way to call java code from link(not commandlink)
and i got a sign out button which i want to invalidate the session when its clicked...
i cant do a redirect to a jsp... its a "special" link that does the log out , so i cant use the link for the session invalidation
I dont want to use commandLink cause i need to put it into a form, and i don't to make my code uglier...
any ideas?
Im using JSF 2 (new to it)Under the constraints you have given the only thing I can think of is some kind of "pretty url" technique combined with JSF. Google can help you out. (Although that might be overkill for what you need.)
Other than that I think you are looking at straight Java or JSP solutions that do not involve JSF. -
Error while saving a smartform in pdf with action profile in service order
Hi experts,
I have a problem in saving a smartform which is converted in pdf.
WHat i m doing is.
The action profile is configured with new Z class and Z method. CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER and CRM_SRVORDER_EXEC_SMART_FORM.
But when i click the button in the Order, i m able to save the pdf in local drive, but an error is coming in the Order page(at the bottom) "Action could not be executed successfully".
The action has been setup with "Printonly" and "Smartforms print" in customization.
I have a dount whether, this action Printonly is only to print the smartform ??? Or can we use just to save the smartform in pdf.
But when i remove the pdf conversion and save dialog and try to print it directly, Its printing the smartform. No errors are coming.
But guys, please help me on this. I have tried all the tricks i know.
I just want to save a smartform in pdf with action profile configured.

Apex 3.0 Q: "Optional Label with Help" default when creating new form?
When I create a new application, usually one of the first things I do is set the default item label to "Optional", so I don't have the annoying popup help link.
Now, when you create a new Form region, based on a table, for all the items the label is set to "Optional label with help". Am I right in hoping this is something that was overlooked when developing Apex, and that it will be fixed in version 3.0, so that it sets the items to the default label as set in the Shared Components?
And is there a way to change the labels for a lot of items at the same time, other than changing the theme templates?AFAIK, label help in default manner is based on column coments of a table.
Later there is now way to easy reedit these values but manually... -

Question regarding GO URL link with &Action=Navigate in OBIEE 11g
Hello All,
Actually I am working with the GO URL Links in OBIEE 11g.When I am trying to use the link as
&Action=Navigate&p0=3&p1=bet&p2="Time%20Periods".Date&p3=2+ '01/01/2011'+'01/31/2011'
The data is not getting filtered.It is giving me all the data which I don't need also..Is this a bug or am I doing any mistakes..Please let me know..Actually I have a few parameters or filters and I am using those filters in the GO URL Link but that filters when I am applying in
&Action=Extract it is working properly.But When I am trying the same with &Action=Navigae it is not gining me the results what I want.. -
Photomatix plug-in's HDR merged image has suddenly stopped showing up as part of the stack, yet when I repeat the merge it warns that these images are already merged. I have the merged image labeled with a HDR suffix. Worked fine until now. Thanks
I am not sure what's happening with IE9 (no live site) but I had real problems viewing your code in Live View - until I removed the HTML comment marked below. Basically your site was viewable in Design View but as soon a I hit Live view, it disappeared - much like IE9. See if removing the comment solves your issue.

Problem with ACTION (move, rotate, etc) in iBookAuthor with a Keynote file
Hi everyone,
I'm doing nice keynote animations with ACTION like rotate an image, move an image, etc. That makes great animation on my Mac screen.
But when i put that animation (keynote file) in iBookAuthor as a widget, the actions are not showing correctly on the iPad. I can't see them anymore.
Do you know why?
