B2B Message ID
Oracle Team -
Do we have any control over the "Message ID" that B2B creates for inbound documents and sends to BPEL as the "Msg ID" as part of the B2B Header ?
In the "Business Message Details" screen, this field is identified as the "B2B Message Id". Our implementation has a value similar to "C0A81963113976E6DD1000005C3F4E00-1".
We would like to be able to set this field to an initial value and have it increment by 1 for each new assignment.
Thanks,
Alice Raia
Hello,
In 10.1.2.0.2 We do have control only over the message id in case of outound message processing. This can be done by setting msgID of the AQ header. howevver i am curious to know your business protocol.

Issue processing B2B message id from AQ in BPEL 11g
Hi,
IN 10g we used header variable to get the b2b message id for a message from AQ for inbound messages.
But when we migrated the BPEL to 11g, we are not able to retrive the B2B mesage id from header as the header variable is coming as null.
Let me know if we have a special way to handle this in 11g
Thanks,
Naveen Kumar T.Did u chk with the properities tab in the receive activity? There is a property called b2b.messageId. you can try setting a pre-defined variable to this property.

Thanks,
Arun JadhavHi Arun,
Problem is that B2B is not able to decrypt the incoming message. There could be two possible reasons behind this -
1. Your TP is not encrypting the message from your client certificate's public key (you should provide your client cert's public key to your TP and ask them to use that for encrypting the messages)
2. You have not set up the corresponding private key at your B2B (in Host TP configuration and in deliver channel configuration of host TP)
Please paste the complete log here/mail it to my id.
Remote trading partner should encrypt the message using your your client cert's public key and you should decrypt it using your private key.
For this ask your trading partner to encrypt the message using your provided public cert and at your side select the same cert in the delivery channel of your host DC under encryption credential. Make sure that keystore is containing this cert's private key.

Do you know how to purge B2B messages which are in MSG_WAIT_TRANSMIT state
Is there a commandline option to purge these sort of messages?
Also you can refer to below thread :

B2B message Id propagated back to Internal Delivery channel.
Hi
I am interested to find out if there is any mechanism to get the message Id of the document sent by the B2B server back to the internal delivery channel. My requirement is to update the application that sent out a message to the partner via the B2B gateway after I receive an acknowledgment back from the TP. I am using RNIF, so I will be using the exchange level ack. I am also curious to know if B2B can send any control information about the doc exchange status through the internal delivery channel like Status, time sent, messageId etc.
Very urgent.
Thanks
AntenehThanks for the quick turn around the issue. I need help on following
I set up two b2b instances. I am sending 3A4 document as a custom document on AS2 protocol. I have two issues:
1. my sender receives a MDN (acknowledgement) if we send syntactically correct data to partner. state of transaction when i look at the sender side 'business message status report' is changed to 'complete'.
when we send syntactically wrong data MDN is not generated by receiver and the sender side logs show the transaction state as 'waiting for ack'. receiver side 'business message status report' show the transaction as 'Error'.
I turned on the flag 'is acknowledgement handled by Integration b2b' to 'yes' on both sender and receiver side
2. The positive ack which is received by the sender, which changes the state of transaction to complete, I expected it to be posted on to IP_In_queue. But I dont see it there. I am using 'b2buser' to dequeue the message. -
JMS to B2B message conversion steps
Hi,
In the IDC Logs:
2008.12.21 at 22:59:10:170: Thread-16: (DEBUG) Number of messages to be processed by JMSMonitor = 1
2008.12.21 at 22:59:10:171: Thread-16: (DEBUG) JMSMonitor.convertJMSMessageToTransport(): Converting message ...
2008.12.21 at 22:59:11:919: Thread-16: (DEBUG) JMSMonitor.run(): JMSMonitor goes to sleep
for 0 secs ...
2008.12.21 at 22:59:11:921: Thread-16: (DEBUG) JMSMonitor.run: wake up.
Please can you confirm the following steps occur during the step, assuming one JMS Listener : 2008.12.21 at 22:59:10:171: Thread- 6: (DEBUG) JMSMonitor.convertJMSMessageToTransport(): Converting message ...
A message is picked up from the queue, message is converted to B2B format
message conversion has the following steps internally:
1. Convert from JMS format-B2B format
2. B2B processes this message request
3. Forwards this request to the Trading partner, gets ack
4. TP gives a respone
5. B2B gives an Ack back.
Only after this step is the next message processed
Therefore, if a TP response takes time to come, the B2B will not be able to pick up the next message from the JMS queue (in case of a single listener)
Please can you confirm this?
Thanking you in advance,
Warm Regards,
Suhas.Nope, the step are as follows,
1. Converts JMS message to B2B specific format
2. Process and send the message to remote trading partner
3. Once the http request/send is completed, it goes back to pick up the message again.
HTH.

Hi,
I need information for B2B..In inbound location, we are getting n number of file & we need to aggregate that files into one file depends on some unique id in xml files. So how can we achieve it by using b2b.
Thanks in Advance,
Shrikant.Shrikant,
B2B does not support inbound batching. You need to do this at middleware or at back-end.

B2B Arch - How the Messages move from the Servlet to IP_IN_QUEUE
Hi all,
I am having one basic architectural question.
We have defined the Host Trading partner with the Delivery channel having the URI for the transport as b2b/transportServlet. While creating the agreement between this host trading partner with the other remote trading partner, we are using the standard Internal delivery channel as B2B Inbound, as we are doing the inbound interface. So, whatever the Inbound messages is coming from the remote trading partner it will enqueued into IP_IN_QUEUE.
I referred some of the documents, to know the architectural details how the message come into the IP_IN_QUEUE. Those document says that b2b/transportServlet is the entry point for all the Inbound messages. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am more interested to know what are all the intermediate steps involved in the movement fo the message from the b2b/transportServlet to IP_IN_QUEUE. Basically how the message move from b2b/transportServlet to the IP_IN_QUEUE.Hi,
The transportServlet hand over the b2b message via RMI to the B2B Server. The B2B Server then process this message and delivers it to the IP_IN_QUEUE.

My proxy service (messaging) with sftp protocol is not picking up the file
Hi ,
I have proxy service , which polls for a file in a regular interval , this has stopped working suddenly . The bad part is i am not able to find any log related to the service in either the domain logs or the server logs.
I tried to disable the service and re-enable it , but it was of no use .
Please help me in this , what can i look for next ?Bala,
I just extracted the entire B2B setup as a ZIP file and imported the setup in a DEV UT01 enironment. The B2B was able to successfully pick up the B2B messages using the same ftp channel.If from one env B2B is able to pick the message using same settings then it must be a network issue. You may like to change the B2B log level to debug and then try to disable and enable the channel. See if you get anything in the log.
You may also try to create an outbound agreement and see if you are able to send message to that FTP location from the same environment.

How to download payload from b2b_instancemessage view in Oracle b2b 10g
I am not able to extract message payload from B2B_INSTANCEMESSAGE VIEW.
when i execute this query:
select payload from b2b_instancemessage where documenttype like '%rsConfirmIncid%';
the output I get is "BLOB"
I need the complete payload. can somebody please help me?We had the requirements to display the Payload in a BAM Monitoring dashboard. Since it was not part of the typical B2B-BAM Monitoring process, and even though technically we can get it from the B2B Message view, there are some BAM feature limitations due to which we had to build a simple ADF page to display the payload and link it to the BAM report. To the end user it is not relevent if we built is using BAM/ADF as it is seamless. Hope this will help someone else who is looking for a similar solution.

Wrong message type while sending response from TP
Hi,
We are simulating a scenario in which the host is sending a Rosetta over RNIF request to TP. The request is getting completed and acknowledgement is reaching the host properly.
Now we are trying to send back a response from TP for the above request. But the following error is being observed:-

As it can be seen from the logs, the message type is being set to 1. However it should be 2 in case of response.
The following header properties are being used in the AQ stub:-
msgID = G20090303035936810.34565d:11fc706dc89:-7fbc@706519011
from = COMSTOR
to = BTGS
doctypeName = Pip3A4PurchaseOrderConfirmation
doctypeRevision = V02.03.00
payload = Pip3A4_Response_POA10170020309.xml

Can you please let us know the reason for the wrong message type being set?
Regards,
Ravi ShahDheeraj,
We have included msgType=2 as a part of the AQ header.
The logs show that message type is getting set to 2 but still COMSTOR is Buyer and BTGS is Seller.
Because of this, agreement look-up is getting failed.

Receiving xml file from B2B - assign the data to a variable
Hi,
I am receiving an xml file from B2B and assigning the file content to a variable.
I have a B2B adapter - mediator - bpel process. In the bpel process I am assigning the inputVariable to a userdefinedvarible.
But I am not getting the value correctly. Only the root tag of the xml is shown as the value for the userdefinedvarible.
In the composite audit level,
<process>
<scope name=main>

I have connected the mediator interface to bpel interface and did not do any other special config? Is that ok?
Can anyone please tell me the procedure to assign the xml file content from a b2b message to a bpel variable Or direct me to any samples on this?
I dont understand if the prob is in mediator or assigning? I do see the inputvariable having the complete xml...!!
Thanks in advance.

Error in inbound processing: EDI message - XML Gateway
Hello!
I've setup a DELFOR transaction in B2B and modified XML Gateway settings for internal delivery channel in order to send the message to EBS, but I'm getting weird errors in b2b.log. (XML Gateway in EBS is not setup yet, but it should't be an issue since incoming errors are handled in EBS, and I would just see an inbound transaction with processing errors in Transaction Monitor.)
In the beginning of b2b.log I see this:

Error repeats a few times.
Wire message stays in Processing status, Business message is errored and an exception message is created in ip_in_queue.
Both remote and host delivery channels have retry set to 1. Agreement was re-deployed + all B2B restared, but the problem remained.
Could anyone help with this? What could be wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Wanda
PS. I've checked all threads that might have anything to do with this, but found nothing useful.Hi Anuj,
thanks for taking the time to examine the file.
Answers to your questions:
1. Yes, this is the 1st time for B2B, but the EBS I'm trying to connect to is up and running for approx. 2 years (it's a test instance).
2. Patching was done by the customer's sysadmin, so I don't really have an overview on what and how he did. Result of opatch:
Installed Patch List:
=====================
1) Patch 8298731 applied on Sat Jun 13 09:23:42 CEST 2009
2) Patch 5907304 applied on Thu Jul 17 14:26:55 CEST 2008
3. In theory the sysadmin should have run it, but how could I double-check this?
I know he had problems while applying patch 8298731, but he said it was solved later. (Customer is using windows os, which is making a lot of troubles otherwise.)
Regarding IDC log there is no success. I've restared B2B at least 5 times plus once the database, but still nothing. In tip.properties:
oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.transportTrace = C:\APPS\OAS\ip\log/transport.trc
also I tried the following values:
C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log/transport.trc (since there is a similar entry: oracle.tip.LogDirectory = C:\\APPS\\OAS\\ip\\log)
C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\APPS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\OAS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ip\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\log/transport.trc (this was commented before; maybe it comes from some default)
true (I had no other idea)
Result is the same for all the cases: b2b_idc_transport.log file is 0 bytes, but b2b_dc_transport.log has initial data+writes log when processing.
If I remove or comment the above line from tip.properties, then no transport log files are created.
I've updated the agreement to have B2B inbound for the internal delivery channel, re-deployed it and it worked fine -> transaction(s) appeared in IP_IN_QUEUE.
Changing it back to XML Gateway (and re-deploying) causes all original problems.

Wanda

How does JEditorPane determine its preferred size?
Could someone explain how JEditorPane determines the initial preferred size? Its default sizing is not giving me what I need and I'm not sure how to control it, other than explicitly setting the size with setPreferredSize(). A simple example:
