Background color on XML form

Hi,
I've created a 20x20 image of the background color I want, upload it to KM, and then use that in the Background Image parameter of the XML form. (the Background Repeat Mode is set to Repeat.)
It doesn't seem to work .any idea why ?
Regards,
Hadar

Hi Hadar,
You want to set a background image for the Show form
1.Select the Show form by clicking on the root node in the tree view.
2.Enter the address of the background image into the property background-image.
You have the following options:
• You can enter the URL of an image file.
• You can enter the parameter %imagepath% followed by the file name.
The parameter %imagepath% references a cross-project folder for images.
To define this folder, choose Global Options from the XML Forms Builder, and enter the complete path to a folder in a KM repository (for example, /documents/Globalimages) into the field Global Path for Images.
3.Choose the value repeat for the property background-repeat so that the image is repeated over the entire background.

• Changing background color rectangle XML

What is the syntax in XML for changing the color of the rectangle. You can tag him but you don't have a property to change his color.

I haven't done this, but I believe it is true that you can:
1. Add an attribute to your xml tag that identifies the fill color you want to use.
2. Use an XMLrule to call a script to interrogate the attribute and apply the color.

• Setting background Color to Form in J2ME

Hello All,
I want to set background color to the form. Can anybody know how to set the background color to form. Please help ..... :)
--- Sachin

It's impossible, you have to use canvas instead of form to set background color

• Stacked canvas background color

How on earth do I get the background color of my stacked canvas to be the same as the rest of my form (the default forms grey color)? I have both my main canvas and stacked canvas on the same visual attribute, all with background & foreground colors set to unspecified (at both the canvas and visual attribute level). No matter what, the background of the stack is white. I've tried setting it at runtime, but the color is slightly different on each machine used. I've tried everything I can think of -- any ideas? Thanks.

Well the problem is that we want the background surrounding our main canvas to be white (that way the tabs up top are white too) and the form itself in the main canvas to be the default grey (that is our standard). Changing the background to gray or some other color in the visual attribute changes both the white background and the default form's grey to that one color, which doesn't really fix the problem at all. If it's left as unspecified, we get the white background and the default forms grey for the background color of the form. The stacked canvas always wants the white.

• Change footer font color with embedded form?

How do I change the font color on the footer of a form in FormsCentral?
When I developed the form I was using a design that looked great in a standalone format, but we're considering embedding the form. When I went to embed the form, the links at the bottom became useless because the font in the footer is white (see attached screen shots).

Hi,
In order to see the background color of the form, you will have to enable it.
Open the form in FormsCentral, go to Distribute tab / Embed sub tab and check : "Include page background color" check box.
>>How do I change the font color on the footer of a form in FormsCentral?
You will need to change the text color of your form header. Open the form in FormsCentral, select Design Tab, select the form header, select the text and change the text color to other-than-white via the Toolbar.
Hope this works for you,
Thanks,

• Background color change for XML Template

Hi All,
We have created a xml template for creation of news using xml form builder. When we are creating a news by using this template the background color of the news always shows SAP default color (light blue) for both Renderlist and Show forms. Our requirement is to change the background color.
Any help can be appreciated and points will be rewarded immediately.
Thanks,
Satya

Hi Satyadev,
You have 3 options:
Within the forms builder you can get a white background by setting the form to either "border" or "no border". This is done by clicking anywhere on the form (where there is no other element) and modifying the "style" property
You can modify the portal theme so that the background colour is your choice. However this will affect all forms in the portal, not just this one.
Or you can manually modify the form XSL stylesheet. This involves typing the html code to apply your chosen colour. However, this modification is lost if you re-generate the XML forms project, so this should be a last resort.
Hope this helps,
Chris

• How to change the Hyper links color in the XML form

HI SDNs
Do u have any idea how to change the hyperlink color in the xml form. My requirement is as follows.I have created xml form by using xml template and i displayed this xml form by using Km document iview. I need tochange the hyper link color in the xml form content. I dont want to go for manual process by editing the xml form. because i have several hundreds of xml forms.
Appreciate if you give suggestion.
Thanks
Ramana

Hi Ramana,
The most convenient way to change the hyper links is by using the Theme Editor. Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> Select Theme --> Component-Specific Styles --> Links --> Function/Result Link.
Hope this helps.

• Item Background Color changes when placed in production (Forms 10g)

Hello All,
I have searched the forum on this topic, but have not been successful in finding a topic/solution for multi-line items that need to render a different color than the rest.
I have used set_item_instance_property (and set_item_property) as well as using a VA to resolve this issue to no avail.
When I view the form in the browser - initially in query-mode, I see the color that I have set for the item. Once the query is fetched and I am in non-query mode (display), the items background color is replaced to the standard color (off yellow) for non-editable fields.
I have taken all of the subclasses off, used the item property from the pallette as well as manually programmed within a trigger and cannot get this item to stay the color that I have set.
Can anyone help me get this working?

Are you using the 0 to 100 rgb color assignments you see in the Forms Builder color palette? If so, that is your problem. At run time, you have to convert the color numbers to 0 to 255 numbers. Just multiply each of the three parts by 2.55
Or maybe there is come code running elsewhere in your form that is setting the color after your code is run.
Search your form for background_color.

• Set BACKGROUND COLOR of checkbox to DEFAULT color of form

Does anyone know how to set the background color of a checkbox to the default color of the form? I have tried using SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to no avail. On a related issue, seems once any color is changed from "<UNSPECIFIED>" (i.e. default) to any other color, there is no way to return it to the "<UNSPECIFIED>" state.
Any insight would be appreciated!

To return to unspecified, click the property, then click the Inherit icon at the top of the property palette. Doing this should make the checkbox area (not the box itself) the same as the canvas color.

• Prompt Background Color in Forms 6i

Hi all.
I try to explain my problem....
