Bar chart display problem

Hello,
In a page bean, a code is written to produce a bar chart image. The chart image is successfully created in app server's local directory c:\mycharts
What URL should be given to view this image from the browser. Since this image is created dynamically I can't have it placed in a resources folder during design time.

The dynamically created image needs to be in a folder under the domain. An absolute path can be supplied to access the image from your page. For example, an absolute path to an image file created under a folder called images which resides in the domain would look like:
http://www.mydomain.com/images/myImage.gif

    There is no "trick", we're just victims of the limitation that WebI has in portraying XYZ type charts to our better liking.  I submitted a request to Business Objects Tech Support in Oct 2006 and became the proud holder of two ADAPTs:
    ADAPT00676587 u2013 for the scaling issueADAPT00676609 u2013 for the stacked bar chart, line graph issue
    When fully implemented, the scaling for Y and Z should be able to correspond to each other.  For instance, max value of Y and max value of Z will set on both scales the same max value.  I don't discourage you from submitting a trouble-ticket, perhaps if they get more noise on this situation they'll resolve my (our) ADPAT sooner, but just hoping....

    Pie chart is not displayed when I tried this sql with 'order by' clause.
    select null, b.subject_name, count(a.subject) cnt
    from schooltemp a, subject b
    where a.subject = b.subject_id
    group by b.subject_name
    order by cnt desc
    This sql works only when 'order by' clause is removed.

    I think I've found the cause.
    That was not because of "order by" clause, but because of the length of column data used in the legend section.
    When the column data for legend is longer than 38 chars, this SVG chart becomes blank in my case.

  • Chart Display Problem

    Hi,
      i want to display chart of several attributes for one batch based upon the time. in chart it display o value when value is not for one attribute but other attribute have value on that time. Is it possible to display chart line starting from mid of the chart and also to stop at mid of chart if value doesnt exist at pariticular time?

    Hi Senthil,
    Could you query each attribute individually via a Transaction?
    Essentially, you will need to acquire the dataset through separate queries.  Ensure that you do not have a record for the null values.
    You will need to use the XML Union action block multiple times to unionise each query result.
    You will need to return this result via an XML output parameter and access it via a query of type Xacute.
    In a nutshell, your result XMl will have multiple Rowset nodes inside the Rowsets node.

  • Can You Help with an iWeb Nav Bar Not Displaying Problem?

    Hi Everyone,
    I have had a website that I created with iWeb and have successfully hosted with me.com (Mobile Me) for the past 8 months. I added a new page yesterday and ever since then, the Nav Bar has stopped appearing on any browser. This happens on every page of my site where there should be a Nav Bar.
    I brought up the Safari "Activity" window and when I load one of my pages in, error messages pop up that may hold the clue for someone helping out. (I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem.)
    All the "http://..." components (not shown) load in okay, but the following "https://..." components below are followed by a "bad server certificate" error message.

    I am having the same problem. I have had my website with mobile me for nearly 2 years and have never had a problem.
    However my Nav Bar has disappeared on the published website. When I go into iWeb it is there. I have made some changes and republished it - a few times - and when live you can only get to the Home page, there is just a dot where all the other pages used to list.
    I brought up the Safari Activity window and it tells me that only 13 of 15 items are there. It doesn't show any other errors.
    I would love some help on how to fix it.

  • Data values on Bar Chart in a BI Publisher report (11g)

    I have a bar chart that I created via the layout editor in BI Publisher 11g, and I'm displaying the data values on the chart. That part works great. However, we're noticing that the chart adds zeros to the end of the data values depending on the length of the number being passed to the chart. My data item is a number that is 5 bytes in total, with 2 decimals. If the data value is *10.10*, the data displayed on the bar chart shows *10.10*. But when my data value is *1.10*, the data displayed on the bar chart is *1.100*. And if my data value is *.10*, the bar chart displays *0.1000*. The bar chart adds zeros to the end as the number of characters to the left of the decimal decreases.
    I don't see a way to make it not do that. Has anyone else run into this, and been able to change it?

    Basically what are you trying to do :
    Attaching Mutiple Data Definition to a XML Program and deciding which one to call ased on parameter.Sorry you can not do that one Data DEfinition per Report.
    ut there is one way of doing that.
    Create multiple data defintion( mutiple programs) and then a master program something like
    IF Master Program Param1 = 'X'
    call BI Program 1
    ELSIF Master Program Param1 = 'Y'
    call I Program 2....
    End IF;

    Thanks, Jeff. I did try this but for whatever reason it doesn't make a difference. I think it is because if there's no data for a given series for a certain week, there is no entry in the data set that is sent to AnyChart.
    I was able to get around the issue by "filling in" the missing weeks from each data series. To generate the list of "Week Of" dates for a given date range, I used this code:

         to_char (each_day, 'D') = '2'This creates an effort entry of 0 for each week within the date range; I use the Monday date of a week as the "Week Of" date. I then union this with my actual data and summarize by week and viola, I get the weeks in order. This also has the benefit of showing a week for which there are no entries in any of the three series.

  • Problem with Stacked Bar Chart

    I have a problem with a stacked bar chart in Numbers 09. My chart is a single series with 6 categories. All of the categories have different values. The first 5 categories display correctly. However, the last category does not display in the color its supposed to, but rather shows up as white/background instead of the grey color shown on the legend. However, the value label is displayed in the proper place.
    When I select other chart types (pie, regular bar, or regular column) the category shows up like it's supposed to.
    This is kind of annoying since I would rather use stacked bar instead of a pie chart. Is there an upper limit on the number of values it can display as a stacked bar chart? Is this just a bug? Thanks!

    Here's my result with six values in a single series. I double clicked the last bar to change its colour from the default grey (which was visible) to magenta.
    Numbers 2.0.3, iBook G4, OS X v10.4.11
    (Shot in the dark:) Try double clicking the value label, then changing the order position of this item.

  • Problem with chart displaying data correctly

    I have created a bar chart that displays data for each day of the month. The majority of the time this chart displays the information corrrectly. However now and again the bars of the chart appear much larger than they should meaning that instead of showing 30 or 31 seperate bars it can only display half that amount due to the increased size of the bars. If you display the same chart again then the problem will often disappear.
    I am using Coldfusion MX 7 version 7.0.2 Enterprise Edition. Ihave installed all the latest updates up to Cumulative Hot Fix 3.

  • Problems with stacked bar chart in Java SDK and CRDesigner

    I have an issue with the rendering of stacked bar charts through the Java SDK and the CRDesigner. unfortunately, my research in this forum and with the help of aunt google didn't lead to success.
    These are my problems:
    I have a  stacked bar chart which, when datasets/stacks increase in number per bar, displays errors:
    1.)  the single stacks of the bar merge together randomly and form bigger stacks with the sum of the singles. the information of  single stacks gets lost in the bar.
    2.)  the total sum of all singles is bigger than the maximum value on the y-axis displays. thus, the scaling is wrong.
    1.) appears in the CRDesigner as well as in the Java SDK
    2.) only occurs in the Java SDK
    Is there any trick to turn the random merging of slices off?
    Is the false scaling a known issue and is there a bugfix/workaround?

    hi folks,
    i found the answer to the above problems:
    when you specify the recordfields that are responsible for the change to the next stack or bar, the 'stack' fields have to be unique.
    in my case i evaluated durations in msec (as stacks) from different devices (as bars). randomly i had the same durations for one device. what happens is, that CR does not notice a change and accumulates to the first stack with the same duration.
    surprisingly this also seems to derange the axis scaling. fix the problem by simply using an overall unique recordfield like rownum or a formula that forms the current timestamp to text as identifier for the stacking.

              i  need help as my requirement is  like i have three values (material,value1,value2) now i want to display data with the help of Group bar chart like for material1 value1 and value2 should be in BAR then again for material 2 value1 and value2 in BAR......  
    right now i am assining  value1 and value 2 to Value column of display template but i am gettin a graph like material1 value1(BAR) material2 value1(BAR) .....  material1 value2(BAR) material2 value2(BAR)...........which value i should set so i should get graph what i mentioned above .

    Give the material in the label columns...( check with the requirement as the Legend show only the Material )
    Check this also.(May solve your problem)
    Change the type to Bar chart and give the value1 and value 2 in the value columns..

  • Display ISO week number instead of date on x axis in Bar Chart

    I've created a simple SSRS report based on bar chart that shows several milestones. Everything works fine for me except I’m not able to convert the date into ISO week number format.
    I played around with different approaches. I was able to convert the date into an ISO week Format directly on the SQL Server. That
    wasn't a problem.
    But unfortunately I’m not able to display the week number on the horizontal axis in my Bar Chart. I tried both fields: TaskFinishDate and TaskFinishDateMS...
    I would like to show the ISO week number instead of the date within the Bar Chart on the horizontal axis.
    Any ideas/hints/help is really appreciated!

    Per my understanding that you want to get the week number of the year based on the field "TaskFinishDate" which is datetime type and display the week number in the x-axis instead of the field "TaskFinishDate", right?
    I have check the snapshot you have provided and it seems you have change the format of the datetime field in the x-axis like "dd.MM.YYYY", If you can't make the week number to display correctly in the x-axis, the issue can be caused by you haven't
    change the format to Number in the category.
    Details information below for you reference:
    I assume you have use expression in the Label like below to convert the datatime TaskFinishDate in to ISO week number like below:
    =DatePart(DateInterval.WeekOfYear,Fields!TaskFinishDate.Value）
    or
    =DatePart("ww",Fields!TaskFinishDate.Value）
    Right click the X-axis and select the "Horizontal Axis Properties", then click the Number to change the format to "Number" as below:
    Preview you will get the weeknumber display in the x-axis correctly.

  • Creating Bar Charts using Java and Display in jsp

    Hi..Is it possible to create a servlet that processes data from database and display the values as Bar Charts in jsp pages. If its possible, is there any examples on how to achieve that?

    I don't get it. You already know what needs to be done to solve your problem, the only thing you are missing is the HOW. That's the easy part, if only you break down what you have to know:
    1) how do I show an image on a website (this is a basic HTML question actually, not actually related to servlets/JSPs directly)
    2) how do I fetch the path from a database (JDBC question) so that I can use this path to link to my image on disc
    So what is preventing you from figuring out how to do these two simple tasks? Some clever google searches should give you all the information you need in no time.
    by the way: are you sure that you need to store these paths in the database? Is this part of some file upload component?

  • WAD - Values above Bar Chart not displaying.

    Hi All,
    Please find the report that created in WAD using Chart.
    From the above image, the numbers above the Bars is not displaying except the first Bar. I have checked the Series in WAD and all the settings are same Bar 1 and Bar 2. But still, the values are not displaying except 1st Bar. Please find the settings i made in Web Application designer.
    And also some text is displaying "Missing text XXXX". Any settings i need to do for not appearing in the chart, pls suggest.
    Do i need to do any other settings for displaying the value above the Bar Chart.

    the last number shows the patch level
    You will something like this: Version     7200.0.3.1

    this means your IGS is 7.20 Patch 3
    You can also check your patch level as follows:
    - Start transaction SA38 (or SE38)
    - Run the report GRAPHICS_IGS_ADMIN
    - Choose the rfc destination, IGS_RFC_DEST should be the default

  • Problems with Value Labels in Stacked Bar Chart

    When choosing a stacked bar chart to display the contribution of 2 values to the overall total, the graph plots correctly, but the value labels are incorrect.  Instead of labeling the values for A & B, the graph is appropriately labeled for A ,but the label for B is the total for A+B.  It should be just "B".
    Has anyone else experienced this problem or has a solution.  I am using CR 2008

    I have this issue a lot with CR XI.  As I have never used CR 2008, I am not sure of the commands.  But in CR XI, right click on the graph and select Chart Options.  On the Data Labels tab, at the bottom there are two options: Cumulative and Absolute.  It defaults to Cumulative, so change to Absolute.  That always works for me.
