Batch splitting images and getting proper output numbers

In making an ebook from scans, I need to do a double page scan, then split the image into two images, one for each page. I've had no problem with the splitting into right and left sides of the photo, but the output numbers MUST be such that a left image might have name of image0001 and the left side 0002. In other words, the left numbers must be odd consecutive numbers, 1, 3, 5... and the right numbers must be even consecutive numbers 2, 4, 6... - this I've been unable to do with the automate batch options. Is there any way to do this?

Use Bridge to rename the files.
Right pages as even numbers is asking for trouble. I would think seriously about switching them. Stick with odds on the right if it's at all possible.

Jarred swing app and getting console output

Hi,
I've created a jar app using eclipse that starts a swing application. The jar works fine, but I was curious if there was a way to double-click the file and get console output as well. When I start the program through the command line, I can get my output, but double-clicking the icon doesnt' start up a console. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Normally in Windows systems the javaw executable is assigned to the jar extension. javaw is a jvm without console. You might want to change that and assign java to jar but be aware, that this affects all jar files.
If you want to do that just for that jat file I would write a bat file which starts the application using java.

Your issue has nothing to do with upgrading to 5.0, it is a post script printer issue. That output that is printing to your printer is caused because PASTA is not setup correctly. You should be able to query Metalink for PASTA and get the proper setup steps.

I need to parse a String and get only the numbers in the String.

I have a string like this

I came up with a way to kind of do it using patterns and splitting the text but that doesn't help me because sometimes the string is a little different. Like this:

Ever since the recent big update for Firefox I've been getting some sort of error for loading certain images.

--The original image that is supposed to show is also available in that image
Certain sites give a different size of that error image, but it looks the most like an error triangle
I've already tried the troubleshoot of not loading images and none of the options worked
If someone has this problem or knows how to fix it, it would be a great help

Solution found:
The addon "Stylish" with the theme "Google two themes" interfered with the image loading of the sites. Disabling the theme was the solution.

Run the Report as a Background job and Get the Output in Excel in Local PC

I have one following requirement.
One should be able to run the report as a background job and it should be possible to get the report in Excel format, also when running the report in background. The excel report should have the same information and look as the current SAPreport.
Please provide some solution.

Help! Want to read from a xl file and get an output voltage value!!!

I`m a beginner, so please help..
My program should output an voltage value that is read from an xl-file with one collum. The most important is that each values in the xl graph should be read per iteration. So that the file is read over time. I want to use this xl file to controll the output signal over time.
Can anyone show me how this VI would look like, and what would the xl file look like??

The easiest way to do this is to save your Excel file as a comma or tab separated text file and not the native Excel format. Then you can use Read From Spreadsheet File (on the File I/O palette). Using this, you can read the file all at once and then just have a 1D array that you can wire to a while or for loop so that with each iteration of the loop, you get one element in the array. A for loop automatically indexes an input array. Reading the file all at once will be more effecient that reading the file line by line.

Album artwork-how do i get rid of old low res images and get new artwork?

Before apple introduced the new artwork download, I spent ages searching the internet for album sleeves and copied them to itunes, but the quality of the images in some cases was very bad. I am trying to replace this artwork with the downloadable high quality images but I can't work it out. I have tried going to the itunes folder in the music section of the finder and deleting all album artwork and then starting a new album artwork download, but all my old crappy low res pictures turn up again after I have done it. Any clues please? I am sure I am missing something.

Select all the muisic you want to remove artwork from.
Right click - Get info.
iTunes willask if you wan tot edit info for multiple items at once. Click OK.
ONLY tick the box next to Artwork then Apply.
It should delete all artwork in those songs.

Calling the standard program in program and getting its output in int table

I have a requirement, where I need to call the standard program (of transaction CJI3) in my Y program. CJI3 transaction produces a ALV GRID output. I need to use that data for further processing. I am getting following problems:
1. I tried to use SUBMIT ... EXPORTING TO MEMORY statement. I need to pass the company code for the selection, but the company code is in the dynamic selection. So not getting how to pass them.
2. Just a doubt. Can we export the ALV GRID to the memory an retrieve it back using import?
3. I did tried to use SUBMIT ..... statement using only the parameters which are on the selection screen. However the control went to CJI3 transaction and gave an error message 'Please select "from database" or "from archive" '. Did not understood that, any IDEA?
Or is there any other way with which I can accomplish my requirement of getting the data in my program to manipulate, other than SUBMIT.

point 1:
SUBMIT ... EXPORTING TO MEMORY will never work, because it displays the information in an ALV grid and that grid is waiting for user interaction for manipulating the information.
point 2:
no, you cannot export the content of an ALV grid to the memory
point 3:
must you get records in an internal table or must you feed the transaction, so that this one performs a task ?? for first option read below and for the other option you might work with BDC and Transaction Recorder.
what you have to do is read the code of transaction CJI3 in order to understand what it does, where the information is read from and what is the internal table that passes the values to the ALV Grid. You might find a user exit in the code for manipulating that information or you might create an enhancement point if there´s no user exit.

Capture image and get info from flv file

Hi everyone
would apprichate help from any one who can tell me how and is
their any batch software for win\linux that can prepare xml file
with movie length and jpg\gif image capture of one of the frames
(if i can set to to frame 20 and not 1 as dafualt) out of flv file.
its for academic fms project and we have thousands of courses
which we recorded and got them on flv, and need the data for the
catalog.
so - if any one can pls assist, got something ready or just
tell me how to do it, we really will apprichate it.

FLVMDI will create the XML file for you (it will have
additional nodes, but it will have the info you need). FFMPEG will
extract the images for you.
I'm not sure if either of those programs do batch
runs.
