Hi,
I'm having a problem in calling the Java Applet's Function from Visual Basic. First, I'm getting the handle of the Java Applet and components of it using "Document.Applets(n)" which is a HTML function. I'm calling this function from Visual Basic. My code is something like this...
' // Web1 is IE Browser in my Form.
Dim Ap,Comp
Dim Bol as Boolean
Bol = true
Ap = Web1.Document.Applets(0).getWindow() ' \\ Gets the Parent Window.
Ap.setTitle("My Java Applet") ' \\ Sets the Title of the window.
msgbox Ap.getVisibility() ' \\ This will return a Java boolean ( true or false )
Ap.setVisibility(Bol) ' \\ Function Syntax is : void setVisibility(boolean b)
Here in my code , i'm able to call any function that which accepts Integer or String but not boolean. So, i m facing problem with Ap.setVisibility() function. It gives me a "Type mismatch error" while executing it. Can you please tell me a way to do this from Visual Basic !
I'm using Visual Basic 6.0, Windows 2000 , J2SDK 1.4.2_05.
Please help me Friends.

Hi,
I am facing issues like Type Mismatch while passing Array of interfaces from .NET to VBA and vice versa using VSTO technology.
My requirement is that ComInterfaceType needs to be InterfaceIsIDispatch.
My Interface definition is somewhat like this

[InterfaceType(ComInterfaceType.InterfaceIsIDispatch)]

IF i am passing array of above interface (created in C#.Net) to VBA using GetObj API,i am getting type mismatch error in VBA while assigning the value to variable in VBA.Even assigning to variant type variable gives TypeMismatch.
Also while passing Array of interfaces from VBA using SetObj API,excel crashes and sometimes it says method doesn't exists.
Kindly provide some assistance regarding the same.

How to solve the "type mismatch" error in jCOM early binding program?
I got a "type mismatch" error jCOM early binding program.
I use the VB as the jCOM client to access the EJB deployed on WLS7. While using the
object parameter like "java.lang.Integer" in EJB method call, I got that error message
and my VB client had to be stopped?
The same situation, the VB program work perfect when using the "int" as the parameter.
And I try to instance the "myTLB.JavaLangInteger" in my VB program, but how ? The
"New", "CreateObject" and "GetObject" all failure, I don't know what to do next ???Hi,
This problem Could happen when you referesh quality or test system.
Your delta setup for the related master and transaction data needs to be reinit.
What happens is when you init. the delta and subsequent delta is all maintained in your source system
please check Notes 852443,424848,834229
Hope this helps

RowSet Column Type Mismatch Error
Hi,
I am using SOA 11g,
JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
BPEL, SOA 11g, DB2 Stored procedure,
In a BPEL service I am getting this error while invoking a DB2 Stored procedure with Strong XSD.
while running I am getting this error message. This error message while invoking DB2 stored procedure, both XSD are identical. Input to service & input to DB adapter.
java.lang.Exception: oracle.sysman.emSDK.webservices.wsdlapi.SoapTestException: Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'dba' failed due to: RowSet Column Type Mismatch Error. The SQL type in the XSD (CHARACTER) does not match the SQL type in the RowSet (VARCHAR) for column LONGITEM of parameter RowSet. This procedure returns a RowSet which could in theory return any arbitrary result. However you chose at design time to generate a single strongly typed XSD describing this result set in all cases, based on a test execution of the stored procedure. This makes later XML transforms easier. You may have also edited the XSD directly. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
-CDHi CD,
maybe if your strong XSD contains db:type="CHAR", you could try to change it to "VARCHAR" instead.

"Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when using custom Actions Menu Image
Hi all,
in APEX 4.2: when using a custom image in the "Actions Menu Image" attribute in an interactive report, I get a "Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when refreshing the report through PPR (filtering, sorting, paginating etc.). When I leave the "Actions Menu Image" field empty, everything works fine. The error doesn't seem to happen in IE9 (unless using compatibility mode), or in any non-IE browser.
I've been able to reproduce the issue in an application on apex.oracle.com:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=69347:1
Some debugging seems to indicate that the following line in widget.interactiveReport.js is the culprit:
lTemp.parentNode.replaceChild($x('apexir_WORKSHEET'), lTemp);Does anybody know if this is a known issue, or if there is some workaround?
Thanks,
TobiasHi,
Great solution Paul! It cost me a while before I found out the Action Menu Image was causing my interactive reports to stop refreshing in IE10 and not other browsers. Your solution works great, I've implemented it with a few minor adjustments:
- Put the css in report template (for some reason it didn't work in our own application stylesheet)
- replace 'url("/c/action_dropdown.gif")' with 'url("&APP_IMAGE_PREFIX./<path_to_image>")'
- place one dynamic action on page 0: after refresh of '#apexir_DATA_PANEL' , set event scope to "Dynamic".
- Let the Dynamic action also fire on page load.
- To make sure the dynamic action only works for pages with an interactive report add condition of type 'Exists' with expression:
select 1
from dual
where :APP_PAGE_ID in (select page_id
from apex_application_page_ir
where application_id = :APP_ID

Type mismatch error on my web page
I have a web page which calling the Javascript function like below:
function initoptymenu(row, col) {
var a = document.applets.Tree;
var m = a.menu();
if (m == null) return;
m.removeAll();
if (row.substr(0,1) == 'Q') {
m.Add("View Quote");
m.Add("Mark active");
else {
m.Add("Remove Opportunity");
m.Add("View/Edit Opportunity");
But, when the event happen to call this function on my web page, I got an type mismatch error. and the java console shows the Error as :
netscape.javascript.JSException: Failure to evaluate initoptymenu('Q1831',0)
Could anyone know what I need to do the make it work?
Thanks so much.
shuningIt is kinda hard to tell without seeing the rest of the script....
But your script function is expecting a string and a number as arguments, but sure that the caller (which you didn't post) is supplying the correct type of arguments.

Webdispatcher SSL load balance server mismatch errors
We are setting up a webdispatcher to access an Enterprise Portal with multiple instances. Currently it is working but we are having to overide host mismatches. in webdispacther log we see
[Thr 4856] Mon Mar 07 11:38:02 2011
[Thr 4856] MatchTargetName("aaa.mycompany.com", "CN=bbb.mycompany.com, OU=xxx, O=ooo, L=ccc, SP=sss, C=US") FAILS

[Thr 4856] <<- ERROR: SapSSLSessionStart(sssl_hdl=0000000008565100)==SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH
The Portal instances are on
aaa.mycompany.com
bbb.mycompany.com
Currently have a CA approved certificate for each server installed in the portal. Dispatcher on aaa uses aaa cert, dispatcher on bbb uses bbb cert.
Message server is on aaa, but it will load balance and place you on either instance.
have following related parameters
wdisp/ssl_encrypt = 2
wdisp/ssl_auth = 2
wdisp/ssl_cred = C:\usr\sap\XXX\W00\sec\XXX.pse
wdisp/ssl_certhost = aaa.mycompany.com
wdisp/ssl_ignore_host_mismatch = TRUE
C:\usr\sap\XXX\W00\sec\XXX.pse has ssl cert of both aaa and bbb servers.
All seems to be working, as users are load balancing. They are not getting certificate mismatches in their browser anymore. We are getting the SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH errors, but the messages do not seem to cause an issue since we have wdisp/ssl_ignore_host_mismatch set.
Can we eliminate those mismatch errors instead of masking the problem with wdisp/ssl_ignore_host_mismatch?
Should each portal instance have their own ssl cert, or is there a way to use one cert such as the aaa.mycompany.com cert on each portal instance? It seems like that might eliminate the mismatch errors. However, what happens when you go directly to the bbb.mycompany.com portal instance? there is a certificate error if you specify aaa's and you go to bbb. I was wondering if the wdisp/ssl_auth and wdisp/ssl_certhost are valid in the portal system so that each server uses the aaa server and certificate. I could not tell if this parameter is valid for java-only portal systems.
Thanks for your help.
Edited by: Fett Patrick on Mar 7, 2011 8:35 PMThank you Martin for your prompt reply. Can you clarify please, can we use the wdisp/ssl_certhost parameter in the instance profiles of the portal instances? I wasn't sure if that is only valid for webdispatchers or can also be used in abap/java systems?
We orginally had the aaa server certificate listed for each dispatcher in the portal under ssl provider runtime server identity. That caused a browser "certificate error" when accessing the bbb server. So we then installed an ssl certificate for bbb for its dispatcher. We could then go to either server with no browser "certificate mismatch" error.
Then when we added the webdispatcher, we started getting the server mismatch errors at the webdispatcher level. If the wdisp/ssl_certhost can be used in the portal profiles, then that would hopefully resolve direct access or via web dispatcher aceess mismatches. I.E. only the aaa ssl certificate would be used and parameters would be set at both the webdispatcher and portal profiles

Ur
FriendI don't know what version of the database you are running? I'm only using 8.1.7.4. But where I come from, you add datafiles to the tablespace, not the rollback segment.
alter tablespace rollback
add datafile '<blah, blah>'
size 147m
autoextend on next 100m maxsize 2047m;
Make sure that you have a suitable number of rollback segments that are well-sized extents. But mostly, listen the Tom Best, and try and introduce some best practices (no pun intended) to reduce the likelihood of this situation arising. -

You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)
Dear Expert,
I met some problems that 'You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)' when I tried to do the auth. testing for RFC SM_CLNT<SID>_TRUSTED in satellite system.
Following SAP note 128447, I recreated the RFCs in SMSY in solution manager for satellite system using existing user.
It was still error ''You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)'.
In SMSY in solman, I checked the RFCs connection which I recreated using RFC wizard, they are ok(green).
I have already maintain the auth. obj S_RFCACL for user who is running this.
So, I am confused what authorization I did not maintain in user? Please help me out!
Thanks a lot!
Br,
Lucy

Edited by: lucy YANG on Mar 19, 2011 7:01 AMHello Lucy,
The error is pretty clear that the calling system is not a trusted system so I don't think you should bother with an authorization trace at this time, because authorizations is not quite the issue. The calling system is NOT a trusted system, authorizations or not.
Please refer to SAP Note 128447 Trusted/Trusting systems
The error is listed there:
Authorization errors that occur when using an RFC destination for which
the 'Trusted Systems' indicator is set are documented with the following
message:
"No authorization to log on as a trusted system (Trusted RC = #)."
In this case, the trusted return code # (# = 0, 1, 2, 3) has the
following relevance:
1 The calling system is not a trusted system, or the
security key for the system is invalid.
Solution: Recreate the trusted system (see
documentation).
These are the links the Note provides for the documentation:
[http://help.sap.com
/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/042671488911d189490000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

[http://help.sap.com/
saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8b/0010519daef443ab06d38d7ade26f4/content.htm].
The Note states to recreate the Trusted system according to the Documentation (links above)
This is all in the Note. Please follow the Note to reslve this known error.
