Bean customizer in Netbeans

Question

I use Netbeans as tester builder for beans and I have this problem:
I wrote a Java Bean and attached customizer to it. The customizer modify the bean state using methods, not properties. I invoke the methods with the bean's reference sent to the customizer by Netbeans. Nevertheless there is no affect on the bean appearence in the Netbeans editor. With Beanbox it works just fine.
Any ideas?

When you build your Netbeans project (F11), your application JAR is written to the "dist" subfolder of the project. Netbeans create a "lib" subfolder in the "dist" folder where it places all other JAR files referenced by your app. You have to switch to the "Files" view to see non-source related folders (hit Ctrl+2 on your keyboard to jump directly to the files view), otherwise you won't see the "dist" or "build" folders in the project.
During the build, Netbeans generates entries in the Manifest of the main application JAR file, like so:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.6.5
Created-By: 1.5.0_03-b07 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
Main-Class: com.screamy.logreader.Main
Class-Path: lib/hsqldb.jar lib/jdom.jarIf you deploy your app via WebStart (assuming that you have a web server handy), you can configure the JNLP file to ensure that all the supporting library JARs go into a "lib" subfolder of the deployment directory where you main application JAR file will reside. WebStart will also respect the "Class-Path" attribute in the Manifest and auto-register any JARs in the "lib" subfolder when your app is launched.
If you manually deploy the app, it doens't respect the Class-Path attribute in the main app JAR (maybe this has been corrected in a newer JDK release? I don't know). In this case, you'll have to create a batch/script/shortcut which launches the app and specifies the Class Path (via the "-cp" Java commandline argument) so that it points to all the JARs in the "lib" subfolder.
