BEFORE/AFTER CREATE ON SCHEMA

All,
I have a schema ORA and i have 60 tables and i have a audit table(stats_log)... but i have to eliminate 8 tables
from audit (DDL,DML) operations...
CREATE TABLE stats_log (
operation VARCHAR2(30),
obj_owner VARCHAR2(30),
object_name VARCHAR2(30),
sql_text VARCHAR2(64),
attempt_by VARCHAR2(30),
attempt_dt DATE);
I have used BEFORE CREATE OR ALTER OR DROP ON SCHEMA(working fine), but the trigger action includes all the tables in the ORA Schema..
Do i need to create individual trigger for each table?
Regards,
~ORA

Hi all,
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER ddl_log_trigger

  • SUBMIT an ABAP report after creating the WI but before completion of WI.

    Dear All,
    I am having an activity which sends the approval work item.
    Now my requirement is to SUBMIT an ABAP report after creating the WI but before completion of WI.
    I can not call this report before approval activity because i need to pass this WI ID to this report.
    Please suggest some way to solve this.
    Regards,
    Amar

    Hello,
    You could create a 2-from-2 fork and put the workitem in one branch and the report in the other. Have the report branch wait 1 minute and then read the workitem id from the other branch.
    What is the purpose of this report? Why does it need the workitem id?
    regards

  • Running demobld  after creating schema.

    Hi all,
    I followed few steps in creating a schema.
    create user demo identified by demo;
    grant connect to demo;
    grant resource to demo;
    alter user demo default tablespace users;
    alter user demo temporary tablespace temp;
    connect demo/demo
    alter session set NLS_TERRITORY = AMERICA;
    alter session set NLS_LANGUAGE = AMERICAN;
    @@bdemobld.sql
    all the above steps are successful but when i give @@bdemobld.sql it is throwing this error sp2-0310:unable to open file bdemobld.sql.
    Why iam getting this error and please let me know clearly why to build demo(bdemobld) after creation of schema.
    Thanks in advance.

    When I said “statistics represent the data”, I meant all CBO statistics, including, but not limited to number of records, number of distinct values, min/max column values, number of not-null values, clustering factor for indexes, etc., should correspond to the data they represent.
         Comparing only at the number of records, albeit a very important statistic, is not enough to conclude that the statistics and the data are in sync. My statement in the previous post was intentionally over-simplified in order to push the main idea that the timing of stats gathering does not matter, all that matters is that the stats represent the data.
         Ironically, I’ll be talking exactly about the issue you raised when I discuss the shortcomings of locking table statistics at the Hotsos 2012 symposium( Monday March 5, 2012, 11am, Salon B) - http://www.hotsos.com/sym12/sym_speakers_iotzov.html.

  • Issue in creating OPSS Schema with rcu.

    Hi,
      There is an issue in creating the OPSS schema in oracle DB 11.2.0.3.0 even though the rcu (Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility 11g (11.1.2.1.0)
       completed it without any error with status of success opss schema at the end of it's creation operation.
          But the validation of opss schema is getting Failed as shown by this query ! I 've refferenced this Doc's Configuring the OPSS Security Store
    SQL> desc jps_dn;
    ERROR:
    ORA-04043: object jps_dn does not exist
      There is no error in rcu log And in opss.log as well.  Also There is NO issue in createing the Other schema's like OIM,OAM,OAAM
        Wonder what am missing here that causing the shema not reflecting or Validation of it getting Failed  in the database.
         Also i 've tried by changing this sec_case_sensitive_logon value to False  from true in the DB but to no effect.
         in both cases the OPSS schema validation is getting failed.
         Greately appreciate any suggestion.
    Please see the following summary of rcu operation

    Database details:

      Please suggest.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response Hussein and Helios,
       I am able to solve the issue as it was due to incorrect rcu version.
      But I am really struggling to Configure Policy store for the last 10 days with the following  Error.  I would be highly obliged if you could guide me on this issue.
    I am getting stuck at this  Error while running configureSecurityStore.py.  for the error I 've refferenced these Metalink Note ID's
      But to No Avail.
    configureSecurityStore.py Fails With ORA-00001: unique constraint (DEV_OPSS.IDX_JPS_RDN_PDN) violated. (Doc ID 1547423.1) (1549203.1)
       Summarining
       The steps that I 've followed
    1. Created the Schema's Using rcu 11g (11.1.2.0.0) on 11.2.0.3.0 Oracle DB. (OS :RHEL 64 bit)
    2. Insatlled Weblogic 10.3.6
    3. Installed   Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g (11.1.2.0.0) And  SOA 11.1.1.7.0
    4. Run config.sh to create OIM,OAM and OAAM domains
    5. Run setDomainEnv.sh from user_projects/domains//bin
      After that I tried to Configure the DB Policy store before starting the Admin Server. But getting the same error. every time it get  failed
    I 've dropped schemas and Reinstall the WLS,IAM,SOA software again But got the same Error.
      at least 20 times in the last 10 days I 've Dropped schema even created New DB and Reinstalled All the IAM Software But to No Avail
    Please see the  following Exact Error. And I would be highly Obliged if you could drop few lines as what I am missing here in the entire process.

  • Impdp triggers always give error ORA-04071:missing BEFORE, AFTER or INSTEAD

    Hello,
    I am using 11g impdp to create a test system.
    I use this cmd to import
    impdp 'SYS/xxxxx@PWRFUN AS SYSDBA' dumpfile=PWRPROD.DMP logfile=PWRFUNimportPROD.log SCHEMAS=pwrplant TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=REPLACE
    Then I get this error for all the triggers
    ORA-39083: Object type TRIGGER failed to create with error:
    ORA-04071: missing BEFORE, AFTER or INSTEAD OF keyword
    Failing sql is:
    CREATE TRIGGER "PWRPLANT"."APPROVAL_STEPS_HISTORY" PS_HISTORY
    BEFORE UPDATE OR INSERT ON PWRPLANT.APPROVAL_STEPS_HISTORY
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN    :new.user_id := USER;    :new.time_stamp := SYSDATE; END;
    As you can see, the trigger does contain the word "before".
    When I remove " "PWRPLANT"."APPROVAL_STEPS_HISTORY" " and run the trigger below, it compiles correctly. Why is this, and how do I make my impdp to run correctly?
    CREATE TRIGGER PS_HISTORY
    BEFORE UPDATE OR INSERT ON PWRPLANT.APPROVAL_STEPS_HISTORY
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN    :new.user_id := USER;    :new.time_stamp := SYSDATE; END;

    True, you can declare PROC_REPLACE_TRIGGER as an autonomous transaction. That would allow you to commit. But then your autonomous transaction won't be able to see any of the changes being made in the triggering transaction, including the new column.
    As has been said before, you really only have one option. Your schema trigger needs to use DBMS_JOB to schedule a job. That job would call PROC_REPLACE_TRIGGER some time shortly after the triggering DDL transaction commits. You would not want to declare PROC_REPLACE_TRIGGER as an autonomous transaction in that approach.
    I still have reservations about the architecture that would require something like this. If you're doing DDL, presumably it's part of a build. The call to PROC_REPLACE_TRIGGER should be part of the build script (assuming it really makes sense to recreate triggers dynamically), not something that is called by a trigger.

  • RCU doesn't re-create MDS schema

    I used RCU to drop my MDS schema (for soa suite ver. 11.1.1.1.2).
    When attempting to re-create the schema, RCU throws a number of errors, including:
    1. Error creating database file: /app/Oracle/oradata/JDEV_mds.dbf
    File already exists.
    2. If 1 is ignored, the RCU then complains the user JDEV_MDS doesn't exist.

    Did you shutdown your existing SOA Suite 11.1.1.2 environment and exit JDev before starting RCU to drop schemas?Yes, before running RCU, i made sure nothing was connected to the schema.
    Now attempted to re-create re-create the schema after restarting the database and there's another error:
    Error creating PL/SQL Object

  • Installation stuck at Create database schema Phase 13 of 27

    Hi
    I am installing the Netweaver 7.01 SP3 and have already removed it completely after getting stuck at the same installation step. Do not know what is going wrong. A small extract of the log is shown below. Any advice on how to proceed will be helpful. I know when einstalling it has to be removed completely which I did using uninstallation and then clean up tool. But again it is stooping at the same step. I had let it run more almost two days but of no use. My system configuration is good enough with 2GB RAM etc.

    Guess you are talking about sapinst.log file. Below are the last few lines after which it did not proceed
    Do see the last step create DB schema....... The previos log was from sapinst_dev.log
    Oliver I have a doubt could it be becuase of the host name.
    The host name of my machine is "skumar278-1" with DNS domain name for SAP system "asiapac.globalcsc.net"
    Could this be the reason for the problem i am facing i.e installation getting stuck at phase 13 Create DB schema.... Other than this I cannot see anything else which can go wrong.. Do have the DHCP server available..
    The page file as per the ram settings i.e for 2 GB should be 3072 so I have set it to the same. Though
    the prerequisite page shows
    "For the selected services at least 7138 MB swap space are recommended. Current value: 2851 MB. (Updated 2005-06-24)"
    Can this be the reason???
    Also I just looked at the services file.. there are about about 4-5 different files with the name services .3 services.4 ...  services.5 etc als there is no entry for port 3900 3600 & 8000.. .. do not know what to do... Please suggest..

  • Use of "DBA_OBJECTS" in "AFTER CREATE" Trigger

    Hi,
    We would like to store some extra information about our objects we have in the database. To do so we tought of the idea of creating a 'documenting' table containing an object_id that references to the object_id from the view dba_views.
    Now we want to automatically create a new record in our documenting table when a new object is created, in the first stage this should only contain the object_id
    To accomplish this we are using an 'AFTER CREATE' trigger, but when this trigger fires and the code searches for the new object_id in dba_objects, it does not return any records and generates an error. Likely because when the trigger is executed, the view is not yet updated?
    create or replace
    TRIGGER TRG_TEST
    AFTER CREATE ON SCOTT.SCHEMA
    DECLARE
    tmp VARCHAR2(50);
    BEGIN
    dbms_output.put_line(ora_dict_obj_name);
    select object_id
    into tmp
    from dba_objects
    where object_name = ora_dict_obj_name;
    dbms_output.put_line(tmp);
    END;
    Error report:
    ORA-04088: Fout bij uitvoering van trigger 'SCOTT.TRG_TEST'.
    ORA-01403: Geen gegevens gevonden.
    ORA-06512: in regel 6
    04088. 00000 - "error during execution of trigger '%s.%s'"
    *Cause:    A runtime error occurred during execution of a trigger.
    *Action:   Check the triggers which were involved in the operation.
    It's in dutch, so I'll have a go at translating:
    Error report:
    ORA-04088: Exception while executing trigger 'SCOTT.TRG_TEST'.
    ORA-01403: No data found
    ORA-06512: in rule 6
    04088. 00000 - "error during execution of trigger '%s.%s'"
    *Cause:    A runtime error occurred during execution of a trigger.
    *Action:   Check the triggers which were involved in the operation.
    Does anyone have an idea of how I can accomplish what I'm trying to do here.. Or maybe something I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance!
    Davy

    What is "ora_dict_obj_name" defined as?
    Another option might be to setup a DBMS_SCHEDULER job to run the following insert
    firstly though, create the following table ;
    create document_table as (select * from dba_objects where rownum < 1)and then setup a DBMS_SCHEDULER job to run the following:
    begin
      insert into document_table
      (select dbo.*
       from   dba_objects    dbo
             ,document_Table dtb
       where  dbo.Object_ID = dtb.Object_ID(+)
       and    dtb.Object_ID is null);
       commit;
       exception
        when others then
          rollback;
          -- log a message somewhere with the error, i.e. SQLERRM
    end;
    /Note, I specified all columns, but you'll probably specify explicitly which column you require, in which case the CREATE table would change as well.
    Then you won't have a need for any trigger, and can better manage when you want your documentation to be updated.
    Another option might be to use COMMENT, which can be used on tables, views, materialized views, but won't cover all objects
    to the extent you might want.

  • DSO activation problem after creating the secondary indexes

    Hi,
        I am facing the problem with DSO activation after creating the secondary indexes.
    •  Compared with Info Cubes there is no functionality available which allows dropping and recreating a secondary index before/after the data activation.
    As a workaround I can write a simple report which drops and creates the indexes on database level.
    By using a process chain, we can simply insert the drop index report before data activation and the create index report after the data activation process.
    Can any body help me step by step procedure or Material to write the programs for delete index and create index reports on DSO object?..
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bala

    hi,
    in BI if you are using the dso for reporting then you can simply chk the settings of dso for SID generation.
    no need to create the indexes or delete it.
    if the dso is not used for report then no need to use indexes.

  • Bug report: Naming a Bin after creating it with drag'n'drop

    There seems to be a small bug when giving a newly created bin a name after creating it by drag'n'drop of several clips onto the "New Bin" icon.
    To reproduce:
    Select some clips in your project browser
    Drag them onto the New Bin button
    A new bin is created with the clips in it
    - the bin name for it appears to be selected, and editable - just as if you had created a new empty bin by clicking the New Bin button
    - type in a new name - it accepts the name fine, now press enter.
    - your new name disappears, and *now* you are really in the mode to edit the bin name
    - type your name again, and it works.
    Work around:
    When creating new bins by using drag'n'drop of clips onto the New Bin button, first press enter once to enter into the proper edit mode before giving the bin a new name.
    (is there a better place to file bug reports?)

    Hi Peteg,
    Try to use 11.1.1.4 version.
    8.1 RCU Supported Platforms:
    "RCU is available only on 32-bit x86 Linux and 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system platforms. You can run RCU from these machines to connect to any certified versions of Oracle, IBM DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server database in order to create the schemas required by Fusion Middleware components. The database server can be running on any platform that is supported by its respective database.
    For Release 11.1.1.4.0, RCU can also be run on 64-bit x86 Linux and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems. On 64-bit Linux operating systems, you must run the following command before starting RCU:"

  • Error creating OIM schema with RCU 11.1.1.3.3 (RCU-6135)

    Hello!
    I'm trying to install Oracle Access & Identity Management 11g on Windows Server 2003 32bit machine
    As main guide I use the article from onlineappsdba.com ( [this one|http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2010/08/05/oracleidm-11g-step-by-installation-of-oam-oim-oaam-oapm-oin-111130-part-i-load-schema/print/] )
    I have installed Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    After that I try to create required schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 and constantly get failed on creating OIM schema with error RCU-6135:Error while trying to execute Java action..
    All other schemas were created successfully.
    I've checked oim.log and there were no sql errors.
    In the rcu.log I found next messages:

    I've searched through the OTN and Internet but did not found any solution.
    Please help me.
    Any advises will be appreciated.

    I've tried to run RCU 11.1.1.3.3 on Ubuntu 32-bit and OIM schema creation failed again but with another error RCU-1636 Failed to start PL/SQL engine.
    After that I found RCU 11.1.1.4, downladed it and this version created all schemas successfully.
    Hope all other components will be ok with new version of RCU
