Before or after trigger of bursting a report

Hello,
please, is there a trigger of bursting a report on bi publisher.
I need use a particular PL-SQL program before bursting my report.
Thank's

Hello,
Yes, i have an idea how perform an sqlstatement on my datamodel, but not a call to function, procedure or package.
I have succeeded to burst my job, but where i create a second dataset (datamodel) to perform a datatrigger, i have not a result.
My question are : are there possibility to join a dataset with type datatemplate for a dataset with type query ?
Thank's

        Is there any difference between these two trigger  .

    BEFORE Triggers
    BEFORE triggers run the trigger action before the triggering statement is run. This type of trigger is commonly used in the following situations:
    When the trigger action determines whether the triggering statement should be allowed to complete. Using a BEFORE trigger for this purpose, you can eliminate unnecessary processing of the triggering statement and its eventual rollback in cases where an exception is raised in the trigger action.
    To derive specific column values before completing a triggering INSERT or UPDATE statement.
    AFTER Triggers
    AFTER triggers run the trigger action after the triggering statement is run.
    Trigger Type Combinations
    Using the options listed previously, you can create four types of row and statement triggers:
    BEFORE statement trigger
    Before executing the triggering statement, the trigger action is run.
    BEFORE row trigger
    Before modifying each row affected by the triggering statement and before checking appropriate integrity constraints, the trigger action is run, if the trigger restriction was not violated.
    AFTER statement trigger
    After executing the triggering statement and applying any deferred integrity constraints, the trigger action is run.
    AFTER row trigger
    After modifying each row affected by the triggering statement and possibly applying appropriate integrity constraints, the trigger action is run for the current row provided the trigger restriction was not violated. Unlike BEFORE row triggers, AFTER row triggers lock rows.
    You can have multiple triggers of the same type for the same statement for any given table. For example, you can have two BEFORE statement triggers for UPDATE statements on the employees table. Multiple triggers of the same type permit modular installation of applications that have triggers on the same tables. Also, Oracle materialized view logs use AFTER row triggers, so you can design your own AFTER row trigger in addition to the Oracle-defined AFTER row trigger.
    You can create as many triggers of the preceding different types as you need for each type of DML statement, (INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE).

  • [BUG] 6.1.A.0.14 Stops displaying hi-res pictures after watching a burst album

    Hi, after the newest Album app update (6.1.A.0.14) there's a new bug.
    When you take pictures in burst mode and playing it back on the Album app with little play button the application doesn't want to display the 1:1 picture (the original full-size), it shows the pre-rendered preview instead. Also, BRAVIA ENGINE doesn't kick in anymore after playing the burst pictures.
    This can be solved by simply restarting the application but sometimes it can be a little annoying.
    Here a few screenshots of the same picture, before and after playing a burst sequence:

  • After Trigger Not Fired

    Hi All,
    I had created a Before and After Trigger for each row on a table.
    The Before Trigger will be fired when some columns are updated.
    In the Before trigger, I will changed the value of 1 column, says delvstatus.
    The After trigger will be fired if the delvstatus was changed.
    However, I noticed that after trigger is not fired if the delvstatus is changed within Before Trigger.
    Is this a normal case for trigger execution in oracle?
    Any comments are welcome.
    Thanks.

    The before trigger and the after trigger should be fired like in the following test case.
    If not please post your test case and your 4 digits Oracle version.

  • Report showing costs on cost Centers before and after Cost Distribution

    Hi experts,
    Is there a report that shows the costs on a Sender / receiver  Cost center/Cost elements before and after the distribution cycle is run. What I am looking for a report that shows the costs on  Cost center/Cost Element before the cost allocation cycle is run, the allocated costs in different columns.
    I would appreciate if some one could let me know the tables to fetch the values for the same ( values before allocation, allocated vlues for the month)
    Thanks,
    Vijayanth

  • Xl reporter shows different result before and after Period-End Closing.

    Hi SAP experts,
    We have an issue with XL Reporter. When we ran Period-End closing and ran XL - PL Period & YTD (with the same parameters), XLR shows nil in the Actual YTD column and the monthly figures are out by a big difference (example pre-rollover it was $110K after rollover it shows negative $12M).
    This happens on 2 different clients running 2 different SAP B1 (2007A PL 42 and 8.8 PL 13) on the same XL Reporter which is possibly the default XL report that comes with the installation.
    I don't have any idea why the XLR is running 2 different figures altogether when running the same XLR using the same parameter before and after rolling the year over. The default SAP B1 P&L report stays the same before and after the rollover, I would have expect that the same would happen with the XLR.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Didy Arfiono

    Hi Julie,
    Thanks for the reply. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by excluding a certain transaction for closing entries as this would defeat the whole purpose of PEC which as you stated was to transfer P&L balances to retained earnings account to be carried forward.
    I've check at some guides including one from Orchestra Team (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4tUo774eXg) and so far the process that I've done is exactly what it is.

    Didy

  • How do I create a form that will give a report that summarises before and after data on the same graph?

    I have a number questions that I want to know the average of all the before and after data to compare them, how do I set this up in a form in FormsCentral?  Here is an example of what I want to do - the green bar is "before" and blue is "after"

    This isn't something that you can set up in FormsCentral. It's possible to something similar with a form you create in Acrobat and use with FormsCentral, but there is no sort of built-in graphing control. The bar graph could be implemented with some JavaScript that controls annotations or fields (buttons) and perhaps some text fields.

  • Parameter not being set in before parameter form trigger

    I am running 10g reports over the web and have a problem with some parameters. I have a User parameter which I set in the BEFORE-PARAMETER-FORM trigger. This parameter is not displayed on the parameter form because it shouldn't ever be changed by a user. It is supposed to be displayed on the report output to show who ran the report, but it is appearing blank.
    I've found that if I physically display the parameter on the parameter form it works, but this isn't a realistic option. It looks like it gets cleared out if it isnt displayed on the parameter form. Can anyone explain why and offer any help?

    Assign value to the parameter in the After Parameter Form Trigger, not Before.

  • Updates on a specific COLUMN is not generating a BEFORE or AFTER value ...

    I have a table SCHEMA_OWNER.RX_TX table that has 182 columns. Here is the extract param file. Also on this table i have enabled ALL COLUMNS to be supplimental logged via "alter table SCHEMA_OWNER.RX_TX add supplemental log data (all) columns". The table has a PK on the "ID" column. Please note that the POS_REFUND_DATE column in the table SCHEMA_OWNER.RX_TX is 178th column.
    When i execute the following UPDATE followed by a COMMIT, when the current value of POS_REFUND_DATE=NULL, i do not see TRAIL records getting created in the trail file.
    SQL>Update Eps2_Kp_900001058.Rx_Tx Set Pos_Refund_Date=Pos_Refund_Date Where Tx_Number=1014524 And Nhin_Store_Id=900001058 And Id=4575035;
    SQL>COMMIT;
    NOTE: If POS_REFUND_DATE is NOT NULL, before the above UPDATE is executed, then TRAIL RECORDS (i.e. before and after trail records) are successfully created.

    Hope to get a solution to the above issue. Why no TRAIL records are being created for this 178th column in question. If i do for example the following SQL for a different column say "RETURNED_DATE", when the value of the RETURNED_DATE=NULL before the UPDATE is fired, the TRAIL records are being generated.
    SQL>Update Eps2_Kp_900001058.Rx_Tx Set RETURNED_DATE=RETURNED_DATE Where Tx_Number=1014524 And Nhin_Store_Id=900001058 And Id=4575035;
    SQL>COMMIT;

    This looks like a trailing null issue. Sometimes Oracle decides not to write columns to the redo logs if they are null and they are the last column in the record. What version of Oracle is this? I can ask QA to look into this and see what can be done.
    Thanks for the reply, but
    1) The UPDATE done to a column i.e.POS_REFUND_DATE is NOT THE LAST column of the table=eps2_kp_900001058. Please see the DDL that is in this mail chain. So your observation is not right.
    2) Also the TRAIL records does get generated if the following UPDATE is executed and the value of this column is NOT NULL prior to the firing of this UPDATE
    Update Eps2_Kp_900001058.Rx_Tx Set Pos_Refund_Date=Pos_Refund_Date Where Tx_Number=1014524 And Nhin_Store_Id=900001058 And Id=4575035;
    3) The TRAIL records does not get generted if the following UPDATE is done and the value of the column POS_REFUND_DATE is NULL before the UPDATE is fired.
    Update Eps2_Kp_900001058.Rx_Tx Set Pos_Refund_Date=Pos_Refund_Date Where Tx_Number=1014524 And Nhin_Store_Id=900001058 And Id=4575035;
    Very strange. Hope you can get me an answer.
    Also opened an SR for this issue, the SR details are:
    SR 3-7288541301 : TRAIL records are not getting generated for SELECTED UPDATE SQL statements - DB supplimental logging
    4) Also the DB version is 11gR2, 11.2.0.3, 64 bit enterprise edition on AIX

  • Missing Generating Bursting Status Report

    Hi,
    EBS R12.
    I got log for XML Publisher Report Bursting Program,
    But after the Start bursting process..
    I didn't get Generating Bursting Status Report.
    May somebode familiar with this problem ?
    Thank you,
    MRERP2

    Are you getting the xml for the report....as every BI report generate the xml file.
    If you are getting the xml file might be you can check for the prohram short name -->Xml admin-->rtf template and check the preview.
    Thanks

  • Before or After Triggers

    Hi,
    I have a doubt on functioning of Before or After Triggers.
    Here is an example of it:
    I created a trigger on EMP table
    create or replace trigger tri11 before insert or update or delete on emp for each row
    begin
    if to_char(sysdate,'dy')='fri' then
    raise_application_error(-20101,'No Transactions should be happend on Friday');
    end if;
    end;
    According to the trigger created it has to fire before any event is happening and it should not allow any insertions or updates or deletion on FRIDAY.
    And that is working fine.
    I changed the trigger to fire on After Insert or update or delete....
    create or replace trigger tri11 after insert or update or delete on emp for each row
    begin
    if to_char(sysdate,'dy')='fri' then
    raise_application_error(-20101,'No Transactions should be happend on Friday');
    end if;
    end;
    Here according to this trigger it has to fire after any event is happening .....but still it is not allowing me to perform any insertions or updates or deletion on FRIDAY.
    And showing me the error message as below:
    SQL> update emp set sal = 11000;
    update emp set sal = 11000
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-20101: No Transactions should be happend on Friday
    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.TRI11", line 3
    ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'SCOTT.TRI11'
    Can anyone please explain me the difference.
    Thanks.

    All triggers must be fired synchronously with the triggering statement. The statement and all triggers that are fired as the result of the statement must be atomic-- they must all succeed or all fail. It doesn't matter whether it is a before or after statement trigger that throws the exception-- in either case, the entire statement will fail and thus be rolled back.

  • How to handle format trigger in bi publisher report

    Hi all,
    anyone have idea how to handle format trigger in bi publisher report....
    also if someone will illustrate the how exactly we use the triggers in bi publisher reports.
    regards
    Ratnesh

    Hi,
    there's no direct support for the format triggers out of Oracle Reports. Therefore they are mentioned in the log file and in the created layout after conversion the objects with format triggers are colored red to show, that there you had to do some additional work.
    Currently you had to built the logic of format triggers in BI Publisher new. Hve a look in the User Guide, there are some examples for if or choose statements.
    regards
    Rainer

  • Before and after triggers

    just can somebody clarify
    when we say
    create or replace trigger tn before/after insert/update/delete for each row/statement
    i just want to know what i can do with a before trigger which i cannot do with a after trigger and viceversa

    Before row triggers can modify column values (:new.column := value) before the row is originally written to disk. I don't think after row triggers can modify :new values. Before row triggers can't see the row's rowid, at least not for inserts, but after row triggers always can.
    Statement triggers can modify the triggering table, but row triggers can't. Statement triggers can't tell what rows are touched, but row triggers are called once per row touched and can see :old and :new values for that row.

    2. set the command button to display = false
    3. In your Java code, call
    ActionEvent ae = new ActionEvent(button);
    ae.queue();
    Everything you put before
    ActionEvent ae = new ActionEvent(button);
    ae.queue();
    will fires as a pre-trigger, everything after as a post trigger

  • Should I repair permissions before or after updating to Mac OS X 10.7.2?

    Hi,
    Should I repair permissions before or after updating to Mac OS X 10.7.2? or should I fix permissions before and after the update?

    This is not a routine maintenance. Upgrades can be screwed up if the system that is upgraded is screwed up. I believe in a "better safe than sorry" approach. If you repair permissions and the hard drive prior to an upgrade then if there be a problem perhaps that problem will not propagate to the new upgraded system. If there are no problems doing the repairs is harmless.
    When it comes to the topic of permissions repairs there are many opinions but not much fact. In other words there doesn't appear to be a formal analysis of whether repairing permissions is only useful when a permissions problem arises. But there is a lot of anecdotal evidence suggesting that a repair both before and after a major system upgrade can reduce the risk of problems.
    This is my opinion on the matter. I do not generally disagree with Niel or MacJack, but as I said I prefer to be safe rather than sorry.
    Here's my general approach:
    How to Install Lion Successfully - You must have Snow Leopard 10.6.7 or 10.6.8 Installed
    A. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
    Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Utilities. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.3.) if DW cannot fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall Snow Leopard.
    B. Make a Bootable Backup Using Restore Option of Disk Utility:
    Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
    Select the destination volume from the left side list.
    Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
    Check the box labeled Erase destination.
    Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
    Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
    Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
    Destination means the backup volume. Source means the internal startup volume.
    C. Important: Please read before installing:
    If you have a FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing the update unless you will boot from this drive and install the update on it. Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've restarted.
    You may experience unexpected results if you have installed third-party system software modifications, or if you have modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
    The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below) from Apple Downloads to update.  While the installation is in progress do not use the computer.
    D. To upgrade to Lion:
    Purchase the Lion Installer from the Mac App Store. The download will start quickly. Lion is nearly 4 GBs so a fast internet connection is essential. Download time could run upwards of 4 hours depending upon network conditions and server demands at the time.
    Boot From The Lion Installer which is located in your Applications folder.
    Follow instructions for installation.
