Best Way to RICH HTML Editor on Air Desktop

Hi, actually i trying to get an WYSWYG editor to work on air.
Something like tinyMCE / ckeditor ( Like the one i´m using while writing this question).
I want to paste images there and work with tables  too...
For the moment, what i found is that i should use an stageWebView to load an html ....
I made a html page and uploaded to my server.
It works if i go to the page via browser, but when i try to load it to the stagewebview , the editor is not there...
I´m flash CS6 and air desktop 3.9
Any idea on how this can be achieved ? Maybe another aproach ? Any component out there ?
Thanks in advance,
Gonçalo Miguel

I would initially assume it's not working because TinyMCE may think it's running from the wrong path. The same way you must configure most of those editors to know "relatively" where its files are, TinyMCE may simply not be able to find its libraries. For example if you're using an invalid relative include like <script type="text/javascript" src="<your installation path>/tinymce/tinymce.min.js"></script> where <your installation path> is incorrect.
A quick way to find out is simply point to the script with a full address, http://www.yoursite.com/<your installation path/tinymce/tinymce.min.js
Just tried it quick, works for me:
And running local using File (with a wrapper HTML):

  • What is the best way to store videos using Macbook Air?

I have a Macbook Air and I don't want to store videos on the hardrive because it will fill up fast.  I have a lot of videos - for people that also take a lot of videos - what is the best way in your opinion or best place to store video? For example, on a server, on a cloud server, etc?

Ok, so do you have a recommend brand and space capacity?
You mentioned that one of your primary needs is to store video, which demands large capacity. As a consequence I'd suggest a drive with at least 1Tb, perhaps greater, capacity. I don't have a preferred brand or manufacturer - it's a bit like recommending which is better between Ford and Chevy - but I have a couple of Western Digital external USB drives which have proven very reliable, and a Seagate which is used as a daily backup and has worked flawlessly.
DWB's point about backups is important too, because when you store files on any drive there is a risk of that drive failing - and indeed, all drives will fail at some point. The question is, can you live with the total loss of those files if the drive does fail? If you are storing files that you value, then a backup is needed to help protect those files. Ideally that would mean two drives, not one. One to use for the storing the files, and the second to use to back those files up.

  • Best way to charge battery of macbook air

i have a macbook air 13 inch 256 GB SSD. it is early 2014 version . i bought it in dec 18 2014. i have had 11 charge cycles up until now. the issue is that my battery full charge capacity has dropped from 7280 mah (100%) to 6818 may (95%) in a span of just 9 days . i fail to understand how it can be normal? my battery usage is normal . i charge my battery and take precautions as not to overcharge it . so once my battery is 100 % charged then i disconnect the cable and let the MAC run on battery. i do so because i have heard from many people not to keep the machine always plugged on charge. i want to know whether the % drop in my battery flu capacity happened because of my faulty charging practice? . please some expert tell me as what is the correct way to charge and use the MAC battery as i want to use it in a proper way . there is no constraint in my case as i normally use my MAC at a place where i keep it plugged all the time.
    thanks

    Hello!
This sharp drop in F.C.C. isn't normal no matter how you use your battery. The degradation of the F.C.C. should occur slowly over the span of months, not days.
Please reset the SMC to make sure that it's not an reporting error of the hardware: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support

  • [Flash Pro] Best way to create multi FLA/SWF AIR project

So I have my main FLA all setup as an AIR project. Great.
Now I want to create another SWF which is called Panel. I've got a separate FLA which is coded to work with the main FLA/AIR project, I include this SWF in the "included files" of the main AIR app, and it all works fine. However, I seem to face two unpleasant options when working in the Panel FLA:
    1. Set the target as Flash Player 11.x, and get all sorts of compile errors about missing AIR stuff.
    2. Set the target as AIR and end up with a whole separate AIR project with mostly throw-away output (I just care about the SWF, not the app.xml, .air, etc.)
Is there a cleaner way to do this?
    Thanks!
    -Aaron

I tried adding the airglobal.swc to the project but still compiling the SWF using option 1 above was unable to recognize AIR APIs.
Opetion 2 turns out isn't quite as bad as I though, if I use Test Movie it generates the SWF without the AIR stuff, only the app.xml is generated.

  • What is the best way to connect a mac book air to 27 inch acer display?

I am currently connecting through a USB docking station and the monitor flickers.  I am unable to view a slideshow on the display in Keynote due to VRAM possibly being low.  Slideshow works fine on the Air.

I want to buy a hard disk (not a NAS device) and plug it into my Airport Extreme in order to share data between two Mac computers, and to stream iTunes content to my Apple TV.
One option is to purchase a hard drive (say, a 2TB Hitachi G-Technology drive) and connect it to the USB port on the back of the Apple Extreme. The other option is to purchase a drive with an ethernet connection (say, a 2TB Lacie drive) and connect it to an ethernet port on the Apple Extreme.
In the second case what you'd have actually is a NAS. Apple's AirPort routers aren't known for fast file sharing. The NAS option might be faster.
Is either option better for streaming movies from the hard drive to my Apple TV?
I could be wrong, but an AppleTV may not be able to access content directly from a network drive. It may require that a Mac serve as an intermediary.

  • Best way to prepare HTML email

I would like to survey the group here and get some advice on
    creating
HTML-formatted email. Most of the time that I produce it, it
    is almost by
accident -- some weird cut-and-paste maneuver from an
    existing work. But I
    am awash with questions:
    - Compose it in Dreamweaver or use Outlook?
    - Include photos by URL reference or embed them in the email?
    - Use CSS formatting, and if so, reference an external .css
    file or embed
    styles?
    - Various DOs and DON'Ts to insure against being trapped in
    spam filters.
Perhaps this is better addressed in the Outlook newsgroup,

have posed it there, as well. Be that as it may, I would be
    most grateful
for any and all advice and/or for being pointed to any good

Minimal CSS, and all either inline or in a small embedded

  • Best way to print html version of a PowerPoint

I need to print out a couple of PowerPoint presentations that have been turned into web pages and posted online, so that I can share them with some people who don't have easy web access. I'm trying to avoid printing each page one at a time — total waste of paper!
I can save these presentations as webarchive files, and even deconstruct those with WebArchive Folderizer, but the deconstructed folder only provides the elements for the presentation (background page, outline, javascript), not each individual page.
Is there anything I can try to automatically save/print the collection of web-based PowerPoint slides into one document? TIA

  • Best way to install older apps on Air 2

New, and first iPad, and wanted to install some of the apps we had bought/downloaded to our Touch 4G, which have been backed up to the cloud. Some are games my son had been playing over the course of a couple years or so, and didn't want to lose "worlds" he had created (like Minecraft and Dragonvale).
Do apps already paid for install on an iPad without paying again, and can the backups be installed without losing data from previous saves of my son's games?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure about ios8 however with ios7 you can go to settings then iTunes and then tap on your Apple ID and select sign out. After that you should be able to sign in with your old Apple ID to download your games and then repeat the process to sign back in with the new. Keep in mind that not all games formatted to work on the iPod will work on the ipad. In some cases you may need to purchase the games again.  Good luck.

  • Best way to copy large files to a desktop computer

I have a MacBook Air with a large (16GB) iPhoto library that I want to copy to 2 desktop iMacs. The desktops are on an ethernet link with a hub, and I have an Airport network as well. Copy time via Airport shows as 20 hours. I have used the USB-to-ethernet connector to tie the MBA into the ethernet network but am still getting a copy time of 10 hours. Is there a faster way to link these machines? Thanks.

I have found the fastest way is to copy the whole shebang on an external hard disk with a USB 2 connection. I also have tons of photographs on mine and make that step in between e.g. first copy on an external HD and then on to the larger Mac
what you describe is terribly slow. I agree

  • Best Way to full a harddisk -- Use Parallels DeskTop Compress Funktion

    Hello
I recognised an idiot function in Parallels. Use Parallels Compresser.
I want to save some harddisk Space. My Parallels drive contains only 8 Gb out of 35Gb. So I want to reduced it. The free size of my Mac drive was 17Gb.
First I decide to use the defragmentation function of Windows XP. Result: My free size of my Mac drive was only 11Gb.
Then I decide to use the Parallels Compress Function. First it complains that it cann't run because it contains a snapshot. So I decide to delete the Snapshot with the SnapShot-Manager. Result: My free size of my Mac drive was only 9 Gb.
After all I am still not able to use the Compress Function, but I lost a total of 7Gb of my Harddisk
A great job done by Parallels Software International Inc.
Is their a way to solve this real problem?
    Regards

  • Safari Mac won't display Rich Text HTML editor in Yahoo web mail

"Safari 3.2 (Mac)", "Yahoo email", "Compose Message" Toolbar, Rich Text (HTML) editor.
In Yahoo's Compose Message editor, I don't see the Rich Text (HTML) editor and its toolbar while using Safari 3.2 in Yahoo mail (classic). In Firefox, I see the Rich Text editor toolbar and it works fine.
I've searched on this forum, including Yahoo and others, and don't see this complaint. Is there something I've overlooked?
Is Safari Mac even capable of running the Rich Text editor in Yahoo email?

    Hi Semi,
I found this in the Yahoo Mail Help:
How do I write in BOLD, italics or Color, or change font size?
On the Compose page, above the upper-right corner of the compose window, there's a link that either says Rich Text or Plain Text. Click this link to switch back and forth between the two. Since the link is the switch, you'll actually see Plain Text when you're in Rich Text.
In Rich Text, you can change the look of your message in a bunch of different ways. Again, since the link is there to switch from one mode to the other, if you see Plain Text, that means you're already in Rich Text! If you see Rich Text, click it.
The Rich Text toolbar appears above the Compose window.
    Spell check
Going from left to right, the first button is the 'abc' spell-check button. Click it anytime to check your spelling starting at the beginning of your email. When you're finished, click Close.
    Font and Size
Font: The Font button has two F’s on it. Click it to view other Font choices and select another Font.
Size: Click the button with two A’s on it to choose the size of type you want. Browse the menu and click the size you want.
    Bold, Italics and Underline
B is for Bold, I is for Italics, and U is for Underline. Emphasize your point! :o)
To use these formatting tools, either click a button and start typing, or, select a block of text (or one word), and then click a button to format the text.
    color
Text Color: Click the "T" button to see a palette of many colors. Select the text color you want, and start typing. Or, select a block of text (or one word), and then click the button to apply the color.
Background color: Want to give your text a background color? Either click the highlighter color you want and then start typing, or, select the text to which you'd like to add a background, then press this button to apply the highlighting color.
    Emoticons
Add emotional oomph to what you say by selecting from the list of graphical emoticons.
    Links and Lines
Globe with Links button: Insert a web site link!
Line button: Insert a horizontal line. Handy!
    Alignment
Choose from flush-left, centered, or flush-right text alignment.
    Lists
Bullets and Numbering button: create bulleted or numbered lists.
    Indenting
Decrease Indent: Place the cursor where you would like to move the text to the left and click the "Decrease Indent" button.
Increase Indent: Place the cursor where you would like to move the text to the right and click the "Increase Indent" button.
Yahoo hasn't the best rich text editor out there for e-mail. Why not use Mac Mail... so much easier and supports RT. Yahoo having laid off personnel, I doubt if their internet based mail client sees much in the way of improvement anytime soon.
