BI Beans Deplyment problem

hi,
We are currently developing Simulation Reports (What-if Analysis Reports) . we are using JDeveloper (10.1.2.1) and BI Beans .
These reports will contain the following elements presented in a JSP page.
•     A Cross-tab report from the Oracle OLAP – showing the initial data from the cube
•     Text boxes and Drop-down lists – For user inputs/assumptions
•     Button – to trigger some PL/SQL procedures and AW programs. (Three such Buttons – SAVE, SIMULATE, CANCEL)
Once the initial page is displayed with the cross-table report, user can input his assumptions and SAVE them to the analytic workspace. This has been done through a series of OLAP DML commands executed from a PL/SQL procedure. Once the user presses a SIMULATE button, another PL/SQL procedure will be executed which in turn will execute a AW program, which will repopulate the calculated measure in the analytic workspace and then the report is supposed to refresh the calculated measure in the cross-tab.
The problem is :
While deploying the application, using the “Deploy to AppServerConnection” option, it throws an error saying “A Fatal Exception Occurred. Program will exit”. The entire error stack from JDeveoper is pasted below for your reference. Please let us know if you require any other info on this.

I have tried from application server console also but no result
with help of above information can U tell me where i did mistake?
can any one help me?

Not sure if this would fix your issue, but may be worth the try.
In your war file deployment profile properties, select Platform, & the app server on the left hand side. On the right hand side insert -Xmx256m in the 2nd line
EG:
${java} ${jvm.max.heap.size}
-Xmx256m
This settings tells the JVM the maximum amount of memory it should use for the heap. Placing a hard upper limit on this number means that the Java process cannot consume more memory than physical RAM available. This limit can be raised on systems with more memory. Current default value is 128MB. Note: Do not set this value to near or greater than the amount of physical RAM in your system or it will cause severe swapping during runtime.
Good luck!

    Hi Noaman,
    I guess you have included javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError in the throws clause of a session bean's business method. You can safely delete it from the method declaration as anyway it's not an application exception and there's no need for it to be there.
    Hope that helps!

    Print the class info for the castee and the cast-to classes. They are
    incompatible, and hence the exception. It could be a bug in your code, or
    it could be a classloader issue (resulting from how you
    packaged/deployed/how your app works) or something like that.

  • Message Driven Bean deployment problem in SAILFIN b12

    Hi,
    I am a fresh learner in EJB technology and have been experiencing a deployment problem while attempting to deploy a very simple message driven bean, that does nothing basically, to a SAILFIN (b12) application server instance. I am using NetBeans 5.5.1 to form the message driven bean but I deploy the bean manually on a Linux terminal. The following is the code of the bean:
    package trial.mdb;
    import javax.annotation.Resource;
    import javax.ejb.ActivationConfigProperty;
    import javax.ejb.MessageDriven;
    import javax.jms.Message;
    import javax.jms.MessageListener;
    @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/MDB1", activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue")
    public class MDB1 implements MessageListener {
    /** Creates a new instance of MDB1 */
    public MDB1() {
    public void onMessage(Message message) {
    I got the following message after deployment attempt:
    "Command deploy executed successfully with following warning messages: Error occurred during application loading phase. The application will not run properly. Please fix your application and redeploy.
    WARNING: com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Error while loading EJB module [TrialMDB]. Please refer to the server log for more details."
    The verifier does not give any error, warning or failure message and it states "com.sun.enterprise.connectors.ConnectorRuntimeException: JMS resource not created : jms/MDB1;" in the server log. Below, I have stated the content of the server log. I am novice in EJB technology particularly in message driven beans so any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi thank you for your answer. I did not create any jms resource in the application server because my message driven bean was not implementing the MessageListener interface. Since it did not work in that way, I added the MessageListenerInterface to the bean and formed the necessary jms resources usuing the admin console of the SAILFIN but it keeps giving the same message both on the linux terminal and the server log.
    Let me explain my situation in a more detailed way. I am developing a JCA based resource adapter (i.e.) connector. The inbound module of the connector listens on a specific port for incoming messages from a server (EIS). The port property is defined in the connector's deployment descriptor. When a message reaches, the connector delivers it to the a message driven bean whose code is indicated in the following:
    package com....;
    import com....ra.facade.InboundListener;
    import javax.ejb.ActivationConfigProperty;
    import javax.ejb.MessageDriven;
    import javax.jms.Message;
    import javax.jms.MessageListener;
    import java.util.logging.*;
    * Entity class InboundMessageReceiverMDB
    * @author efikayd
    @MessageDriven(
    mappedName = "InboundMessageReceiverMDB",
    messageListenerInterface = com......ra.facade.InboundListener.class,
    activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName = "listenerPort", propertyValue = "12345"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="ConnectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue="RAjms/MyQCF"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="DestinationName", propertyValue="MyQueue"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(
    propertyName="DestinationType", propertyValue="javax.jms.Queue")
    public class InboundMessageReceiverMDB implements InboundListener, MessageListener {
    private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("com.xyz.inbound.InboundMessageReceiverMDB");
    /** Creates a new instance of InboundMessageReceiverMDB */
    public InboundMessageReceiverMDB() {
    public void onMessage(Message message) {
    public void receiveMessage(String message) {
    logger.log(Level.SEVERE, "CLASS: " + getClass().getName() + "METHOD: receiveMessage() ==> Message received...: " + message);
    The listener interface is the following:
    package com...ra.facade;
    public interface InboundListener{
    public void receiveMessage(String message);
    I have set the JMS resource and the destination resource properties on the admin console in the following manner:
    ConnectionFactory:
    JNDI Name: RAjms/MyQCF
    Pool Name: RAjms/MyQCF
    Type: javax.jms.ConnectionFactory
    Status: enabled
    Property1 ==> Name: DestinationType Value: javax.jms.Queue
    Property2 ==> Name: DestinationName Value: MyQueue
    Destination (i.e. queue):
    JNDIName: MyQueue
    Physical Destination Name: MyQueue
    status: enabled
    Property1 ==> Name: DestinationType Value:javax.jms.Queue
    Property2 ==> Name: DestinationName Value:MyQueue
    Although I created the JMS resources as above I am getting the same problems.Do you think the above configuration is fine and appropriate to the activation configuration definitions in my message driven bean code? Am I missing something on this configuration? Below, I have indicated the message that I got on the linux terminal when I attempt to deploy the message driven bean and the related server log. They are same as what I posted before (i.e. JMS resource cannot be created...). Thank you very much in advance for your help.
    Kind regards,
    faydemir
    PS: The 'restart' command in the following linux terminal outcome basically makes a call to a bash script which deploys the message driven bean to the SAILFIN application server. The resource adapter instance is already deployed on the application server before attempting to deploy the message driven bean.
    WHILE DEPLOYING:
    ws2089 [11:29am] [home/efikayd/bin] -> ./restart
    Command deploy executed successfully with following warning messages: Error occurred during application loading phase. The application will not run properly. Please fix your application and redeploy.
    WARNING: com.sun.enterprise.deployment.backend.IASDeploymentException: Error while loading EJB module [InboundReceiverMDBModule]. Please refer to the server log for more details.

  • Beans scope problem

    Hi
    I have a bean that stores the name of the user after they have logged in. It is supposed to be in session scope
    <jsp:useBean id="userInfo" class="beans.UserInfo" scope="session"/>But it appears to have been placed in application scope. It doesn't timeout and all subsequent users appear to be logged on as the first user. This is not good.
    Any suggestions? I'll post the code once I've made a minimal version of the problem.
    Thanks
    Richard

    Here's the code
    the bean: UserInfo.class
    package beans;
    public class UserInfo implements java.io.Serializable  {
      private static boolean loggedIn=false;
      private static String user="";
      public UserInfo() { }
      public static void setLoggedIn(boolean b){loggedIn=b;}
      public static void setUser(String b){user=b;}
      public static boolean isLoggedIn(){return loggedIn;}
      public static String getUser(){return user;}
    }main jsp page test.jsp
    <jsp:useBean id="userInfo" class="beans.UserInfo" scope="session"/>
    <jsp:include page="header.jsp" flush="true">
       <jsp:param name="title" value="Test" />
    </jsp:include>
    <%
      boolean login=Boolean.valueOf(request.getParameter("login")).booleanValue();
      if(login){
          userInfo.setLoggedIn(true);
          userInfo.setUser("strUsr");
    %>
    <p><b>mainpage says</b>
    <%if (userInfo.isLoggedIn()) {%> <%=userInfo.getUser()%> logged in
             <%}else {%>not logged in
                <%}%>
    </body>
    </html>The included file header.jsp
    <jsp:useBean id="userInfo" class="beans.UserInfo" scope="session"/>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title><%=request.getParameter("title")%></title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p><b>header says</b>
    <%if (userInfo.isLoggedIn()) {%> <%=userInfo.getUser()%> logged in
             <%}else {%>not logged in
                <%}%>load test.jsp?login=true in a browser
    load test.jsp in another browser - should not appear logged in - but does at least with my system (tomcat 5.5.9 on windows xp)
    Any suggestions,
    Richard

  • ADF BC/Faces - Order of validation / backing bean action problem

    Hello,
    I want the user to enter the same "operation date" into all adf faces table rows created in one batch (one transaction).
    So I removed operation date field from the table and added "unbound" date field above the table. The date field value is then copied into all new rows in background. This process is invoked from backing bean from Commit button actionListener method.
    The problem is the validation of the operation date in entity is executed before a new date value is copied into the date attribute (validation of model is in JSF lifecycle executed prior invoking actions in backing beans).
    It means the user can enter dead lock when he enters invalid date (for example date higher then a valid value).
    Then after commit:
    1. First validation is ok (wrong date value haven't been copied into model yet)
    2. backing bean copy action is executed - model now contains wrong date value
    3. Validation before commit isn't successfult - error message is displayed
    4. User corrects the date value and presses commit again but:
    5. First validation is not successful - model still contains recent wrong date value - error message is displayed again
    6.There is no way out from this situation
    I'm going to override lifecycle to be able to invoke copy method before validation cycle. Is this solution acceptable? Do you have any other suggestion?
    Thank you.
    Rado

    hi Rado
    Would it make sense to design your ADF BC View Objects in some kind of master-detail shape that fits your data?
    View Object : OperationMaster (OperationDateAttr, ...)
    View Object : OperationDetail (OperationAttr1, OperationAttr2, ...)
    View Link : OperationDetailForMasterVL (based on some attribute that keeps the detail rows together)
    You would need some Application Module method that does the "row batch setup", but it look like your already have something like this.
    A change to OperationMaster.OperationDateAttr could update all its detail rows date attribute.
    I think that building a UI on this would be less "view layer dependant".
    Just a suggestion.

  • CMP Entity Bean's problem with MS-SQL Server 2000

    Hi everyone!
    I have a problem regarding CMP Entity Bean on OC4J.
    I made one CMP Entity Bean and deployed it to OC4J.
    It was successful.
    I used MS-SQL Server 2000 as Datasource.
    So, I installed MS-SQL Server's JDBC Driver and add some jar files to classpath.
    And I updated 'data-sources.xml' in OC4J's config directory.
    Then, I updated also 'orion-ejb-jar.xml' in my application's directory.
    I changed data-source's name to my data-source's name which use MS-SQL Server 2000.
    Finally, I started OC4J and EJB Client program which called Enitiy Bean's create method.
    But, The error occured which was 'Database error: java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]LINE 1: '.' Wrong sentence'.
    What's wrong? I need any helps.
    Here is stack overflow message. Thank you. Best regards.

    Hi Young,
    From the information you have supplied, my guess is that the SQL
    string that OC4J is sending to SQL-Server is incorrect. So it may
    help if you could see the exact SQL string. In order to see the
    SQL string, I suggest you either run OC4J in "debug" mode, or try
    using "P6 Spy".
    The following web page has details on running OC4J in "debug" mode:
    http://kb.atlassian.com/content/atlassian/howto/orionproperties.jsp
    And here is the web page for "P6 Spy"
    http://www.provision6.com/
    And these other web sites may also be of help (in general):

  • Stateful Session Bean failover problem

              Hi,

              We have a WLS7.0 cluster with two managed servers. The problem we have in this
              environment is that when server one goes down and gets up and after that server
              two goes down our application gets an error "Unable to connect to Session Bean".
              HTTP session works OK, but Staful Session Bean is lost when these failovers happens.

  • Weblogic 10 spring bean intialisation problem

    I am having 2 ear file deployed in one weblogic 10 server. Each ear file contains same spring bean(e.g "fsiAuthService" bean) definition under applicationContext.xml file belongs to each ear. But while deploying both the ear file in weblogic 10, I am getting exception with bean initialisation failure. It seems, once bean initialisation done for first ear file, we are not able to intialise same bean for second ear file. But I am able to deploy both the ear file successfully in weblogic 9.1, 9.2 version. It seems, there is some issue with weblogic 10. Can anyone explain why this problem is occuring with weblogic 10? Please find below the exception detail getting for weblogic 10:
    <HTTP> <BEA-101162> <User defined listener org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener failed: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'fsiAuthService' defined in ServletContext resource [WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]: Instantiation of bean failed; nested exception is java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError.

    It's likely that the stack trace in the server log will provide the "root cause" of the exception (whether that's really the root cause or not). That might be helpful.

  • Net beans start problem

    when i try to start nebeans 6.1 appears this
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClasDefFoundError: org/beans/CLIHandler
    I think it has to do with the classpath .
    Any ideas?

    Try to ReInstall Your NetBeans,
    If problem again occurs means,
    do the following.
    If you are Running Windows Os means,
    1.UnInstall Java ANd NetBeans.
    2.Search and delete all the Entries in the registry.
    3.Then Install JAva and Then Install NetBeans.

  • Please help with bean package problem - serlvet can't find package

    Hi,
    I'm fairly new to java web development, and I can't make any good learning progress due to an error I just can't seen to fix. It seems humiliatingly trivial, but I can't get past it.
    Explanation:
    I'm experimenting with beans, and I've created a very simple servlet called AppSetup to create a LinkBean instance and store it in the servlet context for later retrieval. My problem is that the servlet wont compile because it's telling me the package in which the LinkBean class file is in doesn't exist.
    The servlet is in package org, and the bean is in package org.bean. This is the import statement in the servlet:
    Code:
    import org.bean.*;I've also tried:
    Code:
    import org.bean.LinkBean;and
    Code:
    import bean.*;I've tried all sorts of different package structures, but I get the same following error for all of them:
    Quote:
    C:\tomcat\webapps\chub\WEB-INF\classes\org>javac AppSetup.java
    AppSetup.java:14: package org.bean does not exist
    import org.bean.*;
    ^
    AppSetup.java:19: cannot find symbol
    symbol : class LinkBean
    location: class org.AppSetup
    LinkBean lb;
    ^
    AppSetup.java:23: cannot find symbol
    symbol : class LinkBean
    location: class org.AppSetup
    lb = new LinkBean();
    ^
    3 errors
    edit
    Server is Tomcat 5.5
    Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

    The bean class has to be in the classpath. The classpath variable informs the compiler\jvm where to find the .class files that are being referred.
    To set a classpath,
    javac -classpath C:\tomcat\webapps\chub\WEB-INF\classes;C:\tomcat\webapps\chub\WEB-INF\lib;C:\tomcat\common\lib;.; AppSetup.javaThere are 3 paths in the classpath variable above.
    1.\WEB-INF\classes => Your class files
    2. \WEB-INF\lib => Your app library files (.jar files)
    3. \common\lib => common library .jar files
    4 The dot (.) => current directory.
    Read about classpaths [url http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/tooldocs/windows/javac.html]here
