Binary Data file displays large gaps in the data. Will use of a queue help?
Ultimately I'd like to save 15 channels of data (1 channel at 20kHz, 6 at 2kHz, and 8 at 100 Hz) while displaying the waveforms on the front panel.
Currently, I am saving in binary format without any decimation of the data (therefore saving all channels at 20kHz). Decimating the waveforms can be done without affecting the display, and will definitely reduce the final size of the data files, but will slow down the processing. I've seen examples of using queues to limit data loss, but do not know if it will be advantageous in this case.
Any comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

So let's say that I'm going to use queues. Is it better to have an acquisition loop and then a 'everything else' loop (decimation and data recording) or is it possible (and better?) to use 3 loops? I'm assuming with each queue segment, the time spent reading and writing the data will increase, and therefore slow down my vi even more than it is doing now.
And another question: in the case of the tabbed case structure, my charts are only active when the corresponding tab is selected, correct? If I would then put the recording of data in each case, then the data would be recorded for only those signals which are displayed on that tab. I'm not completely confident that I understand how that structure works, or how I can make the data recording more efficient.

OR
DATA: l_command(100) type c.
CONCATENATE 'compress ' p_file INTO lw_command SEPARATED BY space.

When I see the file content it contains junk characters.
If I want to see the data Do I need to uncompress the file.
con't we see the data without uncompressing the file?.

Uncompress is required to read the content of an Compressed file.
OPEN DATASET DSN FOR OUTPUT FILTER 'compress'.
OPEN DATASET DSN FOR INPUT FILTER 'uncompress'.
The first OPEN statement opens the file so that the displayed data can be read into it in compressed form.
The second OPEN statement opens the file so that the data is decompressed when it is read from the file.

i am receiving the data through the rs232 in labview and i have to store the data in to the word or text file only if there is a change in the data. I have to scan the data continuasly. how can i do that. I was able to store the data into the text or word file but could not be able to do it. I am gettting the data from rs232 interms of 0 or 1. and i have to print it only if thereis a change in data from 0 to 1. if i use if-loop , each as much time there is 0 or 1 is there that much time the data gets printed. i dont know how to do this program please help me if anybody knows the answer
I have attatched the vi. Here in this it receives the data from rs232 as string and converted into binery. and indicated in led also normally if the data 1 comes then the led's will be off. suppose if 0 comes the corresponding data status is wrtten into the text file. But here the problem is the same data will be printed many number of times. so i have to make it like if there is a transition from 1 to o then only print it once. how to do it. I am doing this from few weeks please reply if you know the answer immediatly

Hi! My name is Tom from San Diego, CA. I have the exact same question as you. That is, I would like to be able to print out a photo from iphoto with the date that picture was taken displayed on the face of it. In this way, someone looking at that picture in a photo album years later would know when it was taken. Data point display when mouse hovers over data point in TCODE QGC1
Hi experts,
Just want to ask if anyone knows how to add more data in the display when your mouse hovers over the data point in the control chart of transaction QGC1?
Because currently the control chart shows u201CSeriesu201D and u201CValueu201D, Iu2019m planning to add the inspection lot date when your mouse hovers over the data point.

I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do but the way you have went about doing things is not the way to code in LV. Fist off break your code into functional blocks and use these functional blocks as Subvi's. This will make your block diagram easier to read. Once you do this you can get rid of a lot of code. Also you need to learn how to use the event structure, right now the way your code is set up to use it is not correct. Have a look at the examples that ship with LV. i am not even going to begin to try to understand your code because the diagram is so large. Please do not take all of this the wrong way I am not trying to be hard on you or anything, I am just giving you some constructive criticism..
Break your code down into functional blocks and use subvi's to perform those blocks of code.
Have a look at the examples on how to use an event structure.
Have a look at state machines
You would also benefit from getting the book called Labview for everyone, third edition, jeffrey travis and james kring.
You have a lot going on in this VI. Use the eventstucture to your advantage instead of as a hinderence like it is now. the way your code is set up now everything runs in your while loop, then it waits for an event to fire. in your case the while loop will not run again until the mouse moves over the waveform chart. You are on the right track, you just need to get some fundamental basics down and you will figure out what is going on.

I think in your situation it would be worth trying the things listed under the event. It does have to do with FRS and it's easy to do. I've used it to fix journal errors after a server unexpectedly restarts and sysvol stops replicating. I
could see where it could fix your issue, and if it doesn't, you're out 5 minutes. :)

After calling Cursor.delete, call Cursor.getNextDup to move to the next duplicate, then call Cursor.delete again, and repeat.

iOS 8.1, mail fumction, date at bottom of email accounts the date hasn't changed since 9/26/14. How can I fixed this?

At the very bottom of the "Mailboxes" screen (where I've got 6 email addresses that do work) there is on the far right (bottom right corner) an icon to compose a new message.
In the center of that space is a generated message that says: 1) "downloading x of y" and 2) when finished downloading it says "Updated on 9/26/14." today is 11/6/14!
My problem is that that date hasn't changed since I upgraded to iOS 8.1. The emails are current, but that date isn't!
