Binary data modulation suggest

i am having 32 bit binary data(111101010101....), modulate and demodulate the data by using simple ask transreceiver.vi
after demodulation i got only 26 bit binary data
first bit and last 5 bit in the 32 bit data are gone
only 26 bit is available
pls help suggest whether the problem in the simple ask transreceiver or something else

Have you checked the x-scales of your graphs? There seems to be a lot of waveform data that appears at x-values to the right of what is shown in the graph that I found when I picked autoscale X axis.

Sporadically getting error "string or binary data would be truncated" in SQL server 2008 while inserting in a Table Type object

I am facing a strange SQL exception:-
The code flow is like this:
.Net 4.0 --> Entity Framework --> SQL 2008 ( StoredProc --> Function {Exception})
In the SQL Table-Valued Function, I am selecting a column (nvarchar(50)) from an existing table and (after some filtration using inner joins and where clauses) inserting the values in a Table Type Object having a column (nvarchar(50))
This flow was working fine in SQL 2008 but now all of sudden the Insert into @TableType is throwing  "string or binary data would be truncated" exception.
Insert Into @ObjTableType
Select * From dbo.Table
The max length of data in the source column is 24 but even then the insert statement into nvarchar temp column is failing.
Moreover, the same issue started coming up few weeks back and I was unable to find the root cause, but back then it started working properly after few hours
(issue reported at 10 AM EST and was automatically resolved post 8 PM EST). No refresh activity was performed on the database.
This time however the issue is still coming up (even after 2 days) but is not coming up in every scenario. The data set, for which the error is thrown, is valid and every value in the function is fetched from existing tables.
Due to its sporadic nature, I am unable to recreate it now :( , but still unable to determine why it started coming up or how can i prevent such things to happen again.
It is difficult to even explain the weirdness of this bug but any help or guidance in finding the root cause will be very helpful.
I also Tried by using nvarchar(max) in the table type object but it didn't work.

I have tried by converting the columns and also validated the input data set for any white spaces or special characters.
For the same input data, it was working fine till yesterday but suddenly it started throwing the exception.

Remember, the CTE isn't executing the SQL exactly in the order you read it as a human (don't get too picky about that statement, it's at least partly true enough to say it's partly true), nor are the line numbers or error messages easy to read: a mismatch
in any of the joins along the way leading up to your insert could be the cause too. I would suggest posting the table definition/DDL for:
- PSMetadata, in particular PSRowID, but just post it all
- tblProjectSur, in particularcolumns CSymbID and TblProjSurSurID
- cSymbLookup, in particular column CSymbID
- PSRow, in particular columns SampleRowID, PID,
- PSAuser and PSUserSur, in particualr all the USERID and RowID columns
- SurCSymbs, in particular colum SIDs
Also, a diagnostic query along these lines, repeat for each of your tables, each of the columns used in joins leading up to your insert:

The sporadic nature would imply that the optimizer usually chooses one path to the data, but sometimes others, and the fact that it occurs during the insert could be irrelevant, any of the preceding joins could be the cause, not the data targeted to be inserted.

How to append binary data to existing file in OSB

I have an OSB project that I need for it to append binary data via ftp. Here's my current flow:
MFL binary output --> Replace $body with mfl binary output --> Publish to action (Business service that's configured to ftp binary data).
However, when the data is ftp'ed the following error is thrown:

From what I understand the error code 553 represents a bad file name. The file name that I'm supplying is 11802_insert_oh_xfrmr.eai_data but it appears that the name is changed to 11802_insert_oh_xfrmr.eai_data.a . So I did the obvious and changed the file several different ways (without the .eai_data extension, removed the numbers from the file name) but still no luck.
Any suggestions?

I'm using the JCA FTP adapter instead and noticed it's appending the test generated data supplied by the OSB test console.
However, how can I ensure that the MFL output that I need to append will be placed on a new line?
Also, how should I map/assign the MFL binary output to the opaqueElement type base64Binary defined in the WSDL file below?

Convert binary data (TIFF image) into XML - how ?

Hi,
I have the following requirement:
1. A document is scanned and a TIFF image is saved in a directory
2. The File adapter picks up the image file and sends into XI
3. The binary data is converted into XML so a Web Service can be called (this web service will store the image in a database application)
<b>The part I am struggling with is the convert of the incoming binary data into a XML format document which will allow the Web Service to be called.</b>
Graphical mapping cannot be used therefore I am left with 3 options:
1. XSLT mapping
2. Java mapping
3. ABAP mapping
Can anyone suggest the best option to use in these circumstances and provide some sample snippet of code on how to do it.
I am alright at XSLT mapping but this is beyond me and Java mapping is completely new to me as I have very limited Java knowledge.

Encoding problem while reading binary data from MQ-series

Dear all,
we are running on 7.0 and we have an encoding problem while reading binary data from MQ-series. Because we are getting flat strings from queue we use module "Plain2ML" (MessageTransformBean) for wrapping xml-elements around the incoming data.
The MQ-Series-Server is using CCSID 850, which we configured in connection parameters in communication channel (both parameters for Queuemanager CCSID and also CCSID of target).If there are special characters in the message (which HEX-values differ from codepage to codepage) we get errors in our adapter while executing, please see stack-trace for further analysis below.
It seems to us that
1. method ByteToCharUTF8.convert() expects UTF-8 in binary data
2. Both CCSID parameters are not used anyway in JMS-adapter
How can we solve this problem without changing anything on MQ-site?

for the first MTB now we are using only one parameter: Transform.ContentType = text/plain;charset="ISO-8859-1"
The second MTB, which does the XML-Wrapping, is configured like this:

Both CCSID configuration parameters from the "Source"-Tab we've set to 850.
Now, we don't get an error anymore - sun.io.malformedInputException - , but, unfortunately, now special character conversion succeeded (we need an "ß" and we get an ISO-HEX-E1 -> á). E1 is (different from ISO) an "ß" in 850.
Any ideas?

on EJB 3.0 which return images as byte arrays inside a SOAP envelope
to be consumed by .NET 2 services. The host app server is Oracle
Application Server 10.3.1 on RHEL Linux update 4, on 64 bit Xeon 5500
series HP blade hardware.
While most images are fine most of the time, one particular image
gives this message when being consumed in the .NET client:
The '■' character, hexadecimal value 0x1F, cannot be included in a
name. Line 2, position 380038.
The MSDN suggests that this is usually caused by non-escaping of reserved XML characters like < but this isn't one of those.
The SOAP looks ok and for the life of me I can't see why this ought to
be a problem, especially since the problem doesn't arise running with
the SUN JDK 1.6_06 64 bit)
When making the same call from the OAS Enterprise Manager, I can make the same call with no problem (but the data is just rendered as character data in a browser) which maybe suggests some incompatibility with how JRockit is serializing the data ?
Any ideas, I would be very happy to hear - JRockit gives a 15% or so
speed boost to the website that these services power so obviously we
want to use it if possible.

Seems to be the case that using MTOM stops this problem with JRockit. Strange but apparently true (so far).

Convert Binary Data into Pdf & send it as attachment in a mail from R/3

Scenario:
The interactive form saved in WebDynpro Application is sent to R/3 in binary format. It has to be converted into pdf and sent it as an attachment in mail to the respective person in workflow.
Kindly help on these issues :
1. How to receive the binary data in R/3 sent by the WebDynpro Application ?
To my knowledge we can receive the binary in XSTRING data type. Plz correct me if am wrong.
2. How do i convert the received binary data into pdf ?

I think You can reuse teh XString for binary data.there are certain function modules in R/3 for creating pdf/for sending it as pdf attatchment.please search in abap forums you will find more information

Data is as large as 512KB(== 524288bytes) So i store the data (actually read from a file through FileInputStream ) and then write on the socket with lines like this

/* suppose b is the arrayreference in which data is stored. sometimes i write with that offset + len function*/
dos.flush();

sock.close();
but the program is not stable: sometimes the whole 512KB is read on other side and sometimes less usually 64KB.
The program is unthreaded.
There is another problem : one side(reading or writing) sometimes gives error :
java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error

some of your code snippet might help. Your writing
code seems ok. I've written a file transfer program
in a similar fashion and have successfully testing on
different platforms (AIX, AS400, Solaris, Windows,
etc) without any problems and without needing to set
the buffer sizes with files as large as 600MB and you
said you're testing this on the loopback?
Point here is you should never need to reset any of the default TCP options to get program correctness. The options are more for optimizations and fine tuning. If indeed you need to change the options to get your program to work, then you program wont be able to scale under different load.

Everything in memory is binary, so that clarification didn't clarify anything. Your original post suggests you want to know if you can include integer literals in your program in binary (not octal, decimal, or hexadecimal) representation. The answer to that question is no, but it's easy to translate binary to either octal or hexadecimal by combining groups of 3 or 4 bits.
A hexadecimal literal starts with "0x":int abc = 0x22ab;and an octal literal just starts with "0" (zero, not oh):int def = 0777;

How to convert Binary Data into XML ???

I am calling the getTaskInfo method of TaskManagerService class using Web Service API.
The result includes the formdata in two formats:
1. Binary content of the form
2. Remote URL of the form data
I have to find a value of a particular field using one of the above information.
I am unable to convert the binary data to XML directly. I have also tried fetch the document based on remoteURL parameter which is also not working.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Horizontal scaling, with large amounts of binary data

question about horizontal scaling. tried asking late last night, but no one was active. Basically, I have an app that needs to scale (by adding new machines all talking to a database in the backend). This is all fine, but I have some binary file storage requirements for the app (files over 80 megs in size). This introduces a concurency issue, as I can't store this binary data on any of the individual server (because then it will be on one, and not all, leaving the app in an inconsistent state). So where do I store the data to enforce a consistent state? Have the individual apps FTP the file to a central location?
I am trying to avoid storing binary data in the database; Does anyone have any suggestions on how to address this problem?

I understand why you are trying to avoid storing binary data in a database but if you need to ensure that this data cannot be modified without the appropriate restrictions then using a database might make sense. You could even have a separate database just for the binary data because you will need to ensure you get the block sizing correct. Also, some databases might be better than others in this case. For example Oracle is likely to be significantly better than MySQL.
If you do want to use files then you need to put the file in a central location and enforce locking the file to prevent concurrent modification. You can probably tie into a protocol that automatically handles this for you.

To attach/upload binary data file(to vendor) from EP(sends from) to abap

I have requirement Enterprise portal(JAVA) will send the file data in binary format to abap.we have to attach the binary data(file) to content server.
that is for vendor/custmer(XK02/XD02) will have attachments in the sap screen.
similarly the above screens are provided using enterprise portal (using java) also attachment feature also needs to provide.
so whenever user imports file form EP screen, they will convert the file into binary format and sends to abap through proxy(custom proxy) abap should attach the binary file to vendor/customer.
I have checked so_object_upload,so_object_insert, binary relation create -- these FMs are helped using dialog box or providing the path of the file. but couldnt use when the file is in binary format and if it sent form proxy interface.

I use "call function 'ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_TABLE'" to process a binary table. However, in my situation, I'm storing in Documentum. Once that FM completed, I follow up with call function 'ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT' to store the reference to the document and the archived object in SAP tables. In your case, you need something that processes the binary table, or you need to utilize one of the "SCMS* " function modules to put your binary table into something that you can use with the other functions.
The upload from desktop can be done using BIN filetype for GUI_UPLOAD class or function module, or from apps server, you can read your file into an xstring with open dataset....in binary mode....read dataset into your xstring, close dataset.

Variable length binary data.

I can't seem to find much on working with binary data in quantities smaller or larger than bytes. I am doing research on Huffman Trees, and created a deonstration, but am having trouble imagining how I would read or write to file one bit at a time. As it stands, I am using BigInteger and it's setBit and clearBit methods and terminating them with a 1, but I can only hope that there is a better way. Are there any suggestions for working with bits?

I had to do exactly this in the past. For exactly the same reason, by the way: working with huffman encoding :)
As the previous poster mentionned, you can use BitSet to represent your number in memory. If you want to write the results to a file you will have to write your own implementation of InputStream and OutputStream.

Data Module in JDeveloper 2.0

Hi, I'm the beginner of JDeveloper 2.0. In the help menu, it
describe the way to open the data module wizard as follow:
Choose File|New to get the New... dialog box,
then double-click the Data Module icon.
But I does not find the Data Module icon. On the other hand, it
also describe the way to create the data module via Data Form
wizard. Unfortunately, I does not find the option to create it.
Does any advices or suggestions for me?
