Binding richeditbox in xaml from codebehind

Hello,
How to bind richeditbox inside xaml. It is in datatemplate of gridview

Yes, that's what I was working on. I have a code sample:
MainPage.XAML.CS:
public sealed partial class MainPage : Page
public MainPage()
this.InitializeComponent();
protected override void OnNavigatedTo(NavigationEventArgs e)
List<string> MyList = new List<string>();
MyList.Add("A");
MyList.Add("B");
MyList.Add("C");
MyList.Add("D");
MyList.Add("E");
MyListView.ItemsSource = MyList;
MainPage.Xaml:
<Page
x:Class="REBAttachedProperty.MainPage"
xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
xmlns:local="using:REBAttachedProperty"
xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008"
xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006"
mc:Ignorable="d">
<Grid Background="{ThemeResource ApplicationPageBackgroundThemeBrush}">
<ListView x:Name="MyListView">
<ListView.ItemTemplate>
<DataTemplate>
<RichEditBox Width="50" Height="30" local:BindableREBText.Text="{Binding}" ></RichEditBox>
</DataTemplate>
</ListView.ItemTemplate>
</ListView>
</Grid>
</Page>
BindableREBText.cs:
using System;
using Windows.UI.Xaml;
using Windows.UI.Xaml.Controls;
namespace REBAttachedProperty
class BindableREBText
public static DependencyProperty TextProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached(
"Text",
typeof(string),
typeof(BindableREBText),
new PropertyMetadata(string.Empty, new PropertyChangedCallback(OnTextChanged))
public static void SetText(RichEditBox REB, string value)
REB.SetValue(TextProperty, value);
public static string GetText(RichEditBox REB)
return (string) REB.GetValue(TextProperty);
public static void OnTextChanged(DependencyObject sender, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs args)
RichEditBox REB = sender as RichEditBox;
string S = args.NewValue as string;
REB.Document.SetText(Windows.UI.Text.TextSetOptions.None, S);

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with
undefined objects and unknown namespaces.
This is one-way binding. View Model can notify View, but View can not notify View Model.
Do You know how to improve this code to two-way binding?

  • Binding to Loaded XAML File

    I have a project that saves a canvas containing numerous UI Controls.  However when I load the canvas again all of the controls are present with the correct values. But all of the Bindings to the control properties are no longer updated when the source
    changes. Why is this ?. Whats missing. I tried Resetting the dataContext and many other things that People have suggest but with no success. I don't have enough experience with WPF to fully understand yet what has gone wrong.
    Open and save code taken from (http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/24681/WPF-Diagram-Designer-Part)

  • Using a Bind Variable in the FROM part of a SQL Statement?

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a problem, I am trying to run an SQL statement. However I need the FROM part of the SQL statement to be a bind variable. This is because the end user will need to select between 2 database views.
    I have tried this:
    select CON_ID from :P23_DB_NAME where CON_LEGACY_ID=:P23_CONLEG_NO
    I had no luck. The error i got was,
    "+Query cannot be parsed within the Builder. If you believe your query is
    syntactically correct, check the ''generic columns'' checkbox below the
    region source to proceed without parsing.
    ORA-00903: invalid table name+"
    Which makes sence, but now I am a bit stuck.
    Does anyone have any ideas as to get around this problem?
    Thanks in Advance.
    -N.S.N.O.

    The example I gave you is quite simple. You need to take some time to study it to see where you need be carefull what you put where. Now, your example of course doesn't work becaues you have several errors. This will work for you:
    DECLARE
       x   VARCHAR2 (4000);
    BEGIN
       x := x || 'SELECT CON_ID FROM ';
       x := x || :p23_db_name;
       x := x || ' WHERE CON_LEGACY_ID = ' || :p23_conleg_no;
       RETURN (x);

  • Varying result set and binding parameters in sqlcmd from variable

    SSIS  - Support of Multiple versions of our product
    Our Enterprise Data warehouse consolidates data from multiple data sources.  We have a requirement that we should be able to support data collection from different version of these data sources at the same time.
    Ex. Customer has three different versions of our product installed 7.3,  7.3.1 and 7.3.2. The data warehouse would in this case would be on version 7.3.2, but should be able to collect data from prior versions of the data sources.
    We use stored procedures to collect data from sources into our staging area and then we transform and load it on to the warehouse. The design of SSIS packages are that, there is one main package that executes packages for each table that we collect data
    from the source. The main package is invoked per source that we need to collect data from, if there are three sources at run time there will be three instances of the main package running. These packages run on the warehouse machine to pull the data from the
    source system.
    We would like to maintain one version of these packages on the warehouse and support collecting data from different source versions.
    Challenges
    The signature of stored procedures on the source system has changed between versions
    There are some additional fields returned by these stored procedures in the newer release
     Example
     7.3 version signature :
    [dbo].[PDW_GetMediaAgentSummary](@LastVersionID
    AS BIGINT,
    @InitializeDays as
    INT = 60,
    @NextVersionID AS
    BIGINT OUTPUT)
    7.3 Sp1 version signature:  [dbo].[PDW_GetMediaAgentSummary](@LastVersionID
    AS BIGINT,
    @DataStartDate AS
    DateTime2(3),
    @NextVersionID AS
    BIGINT OUTPUT)
     Also, let us say in 7.3 this stored procedure returned 8 fields and 7.3 sp1 it is returning 10 fields.
    The way we are trying to accommodate is to use “SQLCmd from variable” option in the OLE DB source to cover the signature difference, but this option does not allow us to bind parameters
    to variables to get the output value. The second issue of additional fields (or the lack of additional fields from the 7.3 procedure), we tried to turned off the metadata validation, but we get field not found error at run time when we run the SSIS package
    against 7.3 version. Looks like the only way we could solve is to duplicate the data flow tasks, based on the source version. Looking for better way to do this, since this could go out of control as the number of releases increases.
    Appreciate help on this.

    I suggest you branch your package into one route vs another based on some flag that indicates version the package is connected to then it will execute one stored proc or another, this can be done
    using the Precedence Constraints, or make a wrapper stored proc that hides the data differences between the versions.

  • CG$CTRL Bad Bind Variable error Migrating from Forms 4.5 to Forms 6

    Hi All,
    I have an old application deployed using Forms 4.5 runtime that I would like to migrate to the latest version of Forms.
    My intended migration path was Forms 4.5 -> Forms 6i -> Forms 10g.
    After successfully converting the source 4.5 .pll library files to Forms 6i by opening the files in the Forms 6i Forms Builder (6.0.8.25) and then saving the library files in the FORMS60_PATH I now encounter the following error that is hindering the migration process:
    Error 49 at line 6, column 3
    bad bind variable 'CG$CTRL.SE_CODE'
    I have read some other posts that mention Headstart Templates. Does anyone know if these CG$xxxx program units are part of Headstart? And if so, how can I get the Template files?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gary.

    CG$CTRL are cerated when the forms are developed using the designer...
    Oracle Forms requires that every item in a form must belong to a block, but these generated non-base table items are not associated with any module component. There is therefore no repository definition of a data block to which the generated items can belong.
    Form Generator resolves this situation by creating a control block to which the generated non-base table items can belong. The generated block is given the name CG$CTRL.
    The CG$CTRL block has no physical representation in the generated form and has none of the properties (e.g. block decoration) associated with generated data blocks. The CG$CTRL block is simply a logical object to which generated
    So try to find out in which form the above procedure /program unit is being called and then modify the pll accordingly....

  • Error: Binding from workflow to workitem aborted

    Hi ,
    I am getting an error in binding which I am not able to resolve. Let me try to explain the scenario first.
    1) In the workflow a container element is existing with the name ZBUS2081 which is having reference to object type BUS2081.
    2) BUS2081 is having an <b>attribute</b> "Company code" which is again having reference to object type BUS0002. BUS0002 has a key field "CompanyCodeId" which is having reference to database table T001-BUKRS.
    3) In a particular step of the workflow there is a binding between ZBUS2081.Companycode.CompanyCodeId ->CCODE where CCODE is a task container element having dictionary reference T001-BUKRS.
    4) When the workflow is executing it is giving error in this particular step. The error description are "Binding from workflow to workitem aborted"         "ZBUS2081.Companycode.CompanycodeId of binding assignment is not available    " Error when determining attribute COMPANYCODE of object"
    5) When I check the container in the technical details I see that ZBUS2081.Companycode.CompanycodeId is set to a value. I also checked the corresponding database table for the invoice document and found that this value is existing.
    Can anybody please help me on this as to why this binding error is occuring?
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhishek

    Hi Kjetil,
    the workflow started when a document is parked. Its triggering event is BUS2081-Parked. Even I was thinking in the same lines that may be the workflow is trying to access database information which has not been updated at that moment.
    When I checked the attribute Companycode of object BUS2081 I even found that the source is set to "Database field" and not "Virtual".
    But when I check the workflow container ZBUS2081.Companycode.CompanycodeId is having the correct value. This means the data <b>has</b> been fetched correctly from the database.
    Hence I feel if we cannot use an attribute with object reference directly in the binding, rather use a container operation to assign the value to another workflow container element and then use this element in the binding.
    Any inputs from any body to confirm this are welcome.
    regards,
    Abhishek

  • Can we bind hibernate sessionFactory to weblogic JNDI from remote client?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to bind a hibernate sessionfactory from a remote jee client application to weblogic 10.3 server ?
    Thanks
    ow005480

    Hi Michael,
    Please make sure that your Mail Session "mail/MYAPP_MAIL" is targeted to the same Server where you are trying to deploy your Spring based application. It means in the JNDi tree of the Server do you see the JNDI name "mail/MYAPP_MAIL" where you are trying to deploy your application?
    You can check the JNDI tree of your server using AdminConsole after login please nevigate to the following :
    AdminConsole---->Servers ----[SERVER_NAME] click ----> (View jndi tree) link

  • Inherited UserControl can not find XAML defined elements

    Hello,
    As the title suggests, I have a UserControl, called "DashboardControl", that is used across all of our games in a project that is shared among the games. In each of our projects we have a uniquely defined Dashboard.XAMLs that is specific to that
    project.
    This works fine for all of our projects but now I need to add some additional functionality unique to one project so I created a new UserControl called "GameSpecificDashboardControl" that inherits from the Dashboard. I changed the XAML so that
    it references the GameSpecificDashboardControl as it's view model. Unfortunately, whenever I call a Storyboard from the GameSpecificDashboardControl, I get the following error:
    "WinDisplay" name can not be found in name scope of GameSpecificDashboardControl
    In short, my GameSpecific is calling a Storyboard (which can be found) but the storyboard is trying to change an element that can not be found. What doesnt make sense is that not only is WinDisplay clearly defined in the XAML, but Snoop also shows the WinDisplay
    exists, as well as looping through the visual tree shows that WinDisplay exists.
    I'd appreciate any help anyone can give on this issue, I'm lost on ideas at this point.
    NOTE: If I move the 'sbBigWinIntro' & 'sbBigWinEnd' code to the 'PART_SBWinTickerIntro' & 'PART_SBWinTickerEnd' storyboards, I get no error. Unfortunately I need these animations to execute under certain conditions so keeping them
    in the PART_ storyboards doesnt work for me.
    NOTE2: The PART_ storyboards mentioned above are called in the base DashboardControl which I can not include in this post.

    I agree with Barry - inheriting xaml is a problem.
    I think there is technically a way to sort of inherit xaml you put in app.xaml.  But I think that's a bad plan and I think the technique may well rely on a bug. Maybe it doesn't even work now - it's been a while since I read about it.
    I'm also not so clear on what you're trying to do here.
    I must admit I haven't spent very long trying to work out what that all that markup and code does though.
    The three approaches I would consider are:
    1)
    Inherit just the code and substitute views completely.
    This is Barry's suggestion.
    2)
    Make a templated contentcontrol which you can put your variable stuff inside.
    Kind of like this:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/28597.wpf-keeping-your-mvvm-views-dry.aspx
    3)
    Compose the xaml from flat templates.

    https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Dynamic-XAML-Composed-View-e087f3c1
    Which to use depends on purpose.
    Hope that helps.

  • Hebrew fonts from drop-down box not displaying in text box.

    I am using InDesign CS 5.5 on a Mac 10.8.4.
    When in ID, the fonts I am seeing on the Font dropdown menu when I try to use in a text box are not displaying correctly. They only display as boxes. The fonts are in the Hebrew language. They are properly installed in the FontBook.
    Please help!! Thank you.

    Reema,
    I followed most of your steps. I have a question reg. step 3 ie populating data in node 1.
    Here is my code:
    method WDDOINIT .
    types: begin of zs,
    zktokd type kna1-ktokd,
    end of zs.
    data: handle1 type ref to if_wd_context_node,
    begin of zstruct,
    zktokd type kna1-ktokd,
    end of zstruct,
    zitab type table of zs.
    handle1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE1' ).
    *select ktokd into corresponding fields of zstruct from kna1.
    *append zstruct to zitab.
    *endselect.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Sold-to party'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Goods recipient'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Payer'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Bill-to party'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Prospective Customer'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Competitor'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Sales partners'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Hierarchy Node'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Named List of Accounts'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Distribution center'.
    append zstruct to zitab.
    zstruct-zktokd = 'Payer'.
    append zstruct to zitab.

  • Setting a bind variable in a Shared Component Report Query

    I have defined a Shared Component Report Query in APEX using a bind variable similar to below
    Select name, id , ....
    from asset
    where id = :id
    I have also created a Report Region that displays a table where one of the columns contains a value I would like to be a link column that can launch the Report Query and pass its value to the bind parameter :id in the report query. This in turn would generate a pdf report for the details associated with that column. I am having problems setting the :id bind parameter. How do I do this?
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    The bind values are set from session state. So if try something like this:
    Select name, id , ....
    from asset
    where id = :P1_ID
    With P1_ID being a page item, for which you set the session state / value before generating the PDF file. So assuming you already have a page with a report and a page item, and that page item is already used in your report, then you could just create a button to download the PDF, make sure the button is a submit button, and create a branch pointing to the report query URL (or in 3.1 use the create button wizard, to do this declaratively.)

  • How to use "Add from POM" to add source path and docpath?

    Hi
    My team is developing multiple projects with JDeveloper 11gr2.
    We share libraries and sources between team members using maven extension for JDeveloper.
    We deploy class jar, source jar and javadoc jar to repository.
    The project pom has some dependency defined as below
    <dependency>
                <groupId>com.example</groupId>
                <artifactId>CommonClient</artifactId>
                <version>0.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version>
                <type>jar</type>
                <scope>compile</scope>
    </dependency>
    We use ProjectProperties->Mave->Dependencies->Add from POM button to add dependecies to Project.
    The problem is that the class jar is added to the classpath but the source jar and javadoc jar are not.
    As a result, Team members cannot see the javadoc in code editor.
    Configure IDE libraries is an option but does not work well with maven.
    Does anyone know how to add source jar and javadoc jar to project using "Add from POM" button?
    Thank you!

    Hi ,
    Sample code snippet for GET_RELATED_CONTENT is as follows :
    dataBinder.putLocal("IdcService", "GET_RELATED_CONTENT");
    dataBinder.putLocal("dSource","CS");
    dataBinder.putLocal("dID","3202");
    dataBinder.putLocal("dLinkTypeID","1");
    serializer.serializeBinder (System.out, dataBinder);
    // Send the request to Content Server
    ServiceResponse response = idcClient.sendRequest(userContext,dataBinder);
    // Get the data binder for the response from Content Server
    DataBinder responseData = response.getResponseAsBinder();
    // Write the response data binder to stdout
    serializer.serializeBinder (System.out, responseData);
    // Retrieve the SearchResults ResultSet from the response
    DataResultSet resultSet = responseData.getResultSet("RelatedContent");
    // Iterate over the ResultSet, retrieve properties from the content items
    for (DataObject dataObject : resultSet.getRows ()) {
    System.out.println ("Related ContentID is : " + dataObject.get ("dDocName") );
    Point to note is :
    dLinkTypeID is set to 1 . Reason being that the rendition related content is used to link items . So looking for those related items which are as Renditions .
    This value would be as follows :
    dLinkTypeID Related content type
    1 Rendition
    2 Supersedes
    3 Has Supporting content
    4 Cross References
    2 more sub types are :
    Supports - dLinkTypeID=3 and extraparameter is isGetParents=1
    Cross Referenced By - dLinkTypeID=4 and extraparameter is isGetParents=1
    Hope this helps .

  • Calling a backend bean method from another class

    Hi,
    I'm new in JSF & in this forum so maybe this question is already aswer.
    My problem is that I made a jsf component to deal with a tree menu. The resources in the leaf nodes of the menu are stored in a action calling pattern (i.e.: #{myBean.myMethod}) & I'm looking for a way to bind & execute the call from the class of the component that treats the events.
    I suppose that I need to get the current instance of the context, get the bean location, instance it & invoke the method, but I dont know how.
    I have another more question, may this resource invocation have any kind of undesirable side effect, I meen, it's me & not the faces context who is making the call so I'm not sure if that the best way to solve the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    If I understand what you're saying correctly... you have a component which enables a user to select an action (leaf nodes in the menu). You are processing this selection in your component and now have a EL expression that looks like #{myBean.myMethod}. You now need to know how to use that expression from Java code to invoke it. Is that correct?
    If so:
    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    MethodBinding mb = ctx.getApplication().createMethodBinding("#{myBean.myMethod}", new Class[] {});
    mb.invoke(ctx, null);
    This should do what you want. If you need to pass arguments to the method, you can do that as well... you need to pass in the types via the Class[], and the objects via an Object[] instead of null.
    Note also that the API's for EL change for JSF 1.2 to the standard EL API's, however, the older API's (above) are still supported.

  • Calling a WebService from Java Applet

    Hi all,
    In my application I have 3 projects:
    1. server - for all the business logic.
    2. view - for web app.
    3. swing - for applet.
    In the view project I wrote a WS, and I want to call it from my applet. So I created a WS using the Jdev (10.1.3.2) wizard in the view project (I tested it and it worked fine), and in the swing project I created a proxy for this WS, tested it and it worked fine. Then I created a JAR containing the swing project with the WS proxy classes, opened the Applet and find out that I have some classes missing, so I started adding all the relevant Jars and ended with a ~13MB JAR containing all the swing project jars that in the class path for a simple Applet.
    I know that I'm missing something but I dont know what. Do I really need all those Jars. Is there a simple way to call to a WS via Applet?
    This is the list of all the Jars:

    Try this:
    1. open the webService data controll in the Data Controls section and drag the method from the webService onto the method call activity in your task flow. This will overwrite the current method property (the one which pints to your bean, make a copy of this entry if you can't reproduce it by hand). This too will create an entry in the pageDef of the method call activity.
    2. reenter (or paste) the original value in the method property, so that it again points to your bean. The entry in the pageDef will remain!
    3. now in the bean method you can access the method via its binding like you access any other method from the binding:
    // GET A METHOD FROM PAGEDEF AND EXECUTE IT
    // get the binding container
    BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    // get an Action or MethodAction
    OperationBinding method = bindings.getOperationBinding("YourMethodActionNAME");
    if (method == null)
    // handle method not found error...
    // if there are parameters to set...
    Map paramsMap = method.getParamsMap();
    paramsMap.put("param","value")  ;
    // execute the method
    method.execute();
    List errors = method.getErrors();
    if (!errors.isEmpty())
       // handle errors here errors is a list of exceptions!
    // no error resume normal workTimo

  • How to generate WPF Xaml through XSD (xml schema definition)

    Hi Experts
    I am working on Projects where we need to generate wpf ui (xaml) at runtime as per different requirements. We are trying to generate xaml from xsd file. We are able to generate UI from xml but as size of xml can be large we are reluctant to use xml as xaml
    generation source. I am attaching a sample image what we are trying to do
    UI elements Description
    For each complex node in xsd, we need a panel which can have add or delete button depending on minoccurs and maxoccurs of the node. Inside panel we want to add different ui elements.
    Please suggest if there is any way to do this or any one have worked in this direction?
    Thanks
    Praveen

    I should think you could use xsl on xsd to generate xaml.
    I have used xsl on xml to do this sort of thing - for reporting style stuff.
    Xsd is just an odd kind of xml so I should think that's do-able.
    Failing that.
    You could use the template approach and generate xml from that but use c# to read the xsd.
    You would have like a textbox template etc.
    Is that UI truly representative?
    You could leverage the approach I use in this:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/29777.wpf-property-list-editing.aspx
    The EditRow user control has label + editing control as a pair.
    You would add another control for that pattern thing I see in grey after some of those.
    But you could essentially iterate the fields in an xsd , decide what control to use based on field type.
    Set the label....
    Add that to a Listbox.
    You have a big bunch of xsd and you're thinking of generating the UI?
    I suppose you could then use icustomtypeprovider to generate matching viewmodels inheriting some base vm functionality.
    I don't follow how a "supporting dll" comes into this.
    Could you explain?
    Hope that helps.

    Do you have nlscharset_12.jar in your classpath?
    what web server are you using XSQL with?
    Have you tried using real bind variables like this:
    <xsql:query bind-params="name">
    select * from emp where ename = ?
    </xsql:query>
    Does a query like:
    <xsql:query bind-params="name">
    select * from emp
    </xsql:query>
    return the korean data to the browser correctly?
