BLOB Setting in Database

Question

HI All,
I have a database table to store uploaded readme files by the user. The column name is readme and its data type is BLOB, now, I am able to get the file and upload it to a directory on the server, but now how do I upload it to the database in the table using BLOB method? Please provide me with the code if possible?

What is the database you are using? The reason I ask is that even though it is JDBC (and supposed to be standardized) Oracle handles this slightly differently than the standard JDBC.
Generally:
FileInputStream fileStream = new FileInputStream(

Statement stmnt = conn.createStatement (
        ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE,
        ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE
ResultSet rs = stmnt.executeQuery( "SELECT readme FROM ..." );
rs.moveToInsertRow();
rs.updateBinaryStream( 1, fileStream, fileStream.available() );
rs.insertRow();
conn.commit();
rs.close();
stmnt.close();
conn.close();
rs = null;
stmnt = null;
conn = null;
..Of course you will need to add Exception handling, but this is the jist...
