Blue Snowflake Mic WONT WORK!!!

I have a MAC OS X 10.5.4 and I just got it last week. I bought Logic Express to do some recording. I know the computer comes with a built in mic but I wanted a semi good mic. So Logic Express 8 doesn't read the Blue Snowflake mics. I have read one blog about fixing this problem its just that the person that posted it was not very thorough. Can someone help me with a step by step solution so I can use this microphone to record and be able to change back to the built-in microphone when I am on Skype. My built-in microphone works as a charm. Just the microphone I paid money for doesn't and no one seems to have a concise was of explaining how to fix it. Thank you!

Make sure you plug the microphone into the mic jack on your sound card.
Depending on what audio card you have, you will need to set the recording source to microphone in the audio settings. (Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control, Options, Properties, Select Recording Source.) You might also selecting Mic Boost if there is an option.
Once the Mic is selected as the recording source, change back to playback (Volume Control, Options, Properties, Playback Control) and for now, make sure the microphone setting is not muted. Once that is done, try talking into the microphone to see if you can hear yourself over your speakers. If you can, then it's all set. If not, contact the company who makes your Sound card and verify the settings for enabling your microphone and specifically, what types of microphone and what range will work best (ex 600 ohmz)

    It's worth noting that my wife has another BLUE mic, a Snowball that she uses for voicework. It has never exhibited any issues. Only the snowflakes. I get the impression, though it's purely anecdotal, that there is a high failure/return rate on the snowflake mics.

    Can anyone help me out? My Iphone 4S's mic wont work when Im making a call and I can hear them, but when I turn on the speaker option, they can hear me. It wont work with Siri either. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I've already tried rebooting the phone. I tried doing a restore from backup but should i do a full restore? Thanks

    Restore your device as NEW.  Before you add any apps to it (other than the ones that come with iOS 6), try out the phone.  If it still doesn't work, you'll need to go to Apple for phone replacement.

  • Mic wont work please someone help!

    I've Creative Webcam Live Pro, and my mic wont work. I used the installation CD(webcam CD), and I tried plugging the outlet in the mic slot, and line in slot, but it still wont work.     I understand that you are having a problem with built in mic on your Pavilion. Here is a link on setting default audio and recording device. The first part of the link is for setting default audio device but if you scroll down it will show you how to set the default recording device. If that doesn't work then reply back with your product number and we will look at installing a driver.

  • Mic wont work.

    I cant get my microphone to work, it worked fine last week. I tried a different mic and it still wont work. So I think its my laptop.
    I reinstalled my sound card and made sure it wasn't muted.

    What laptop model and operating system?  Also, if you know how, go into Device Manager and check for the Conexant Pebble High Definition chip.  If you have that and Win 7, your microphone will continue to not function.  You can work around it by using a USB microphone.  HP keeps telling all of us that they are working on a "fix" and it will be out soon.  I'm not sure what their definition of "out soon" is because many people have been waiting months and months.

  • Built in mic wont work with desktop version of skype

    So i had skype already on the computer when i got it sense it had windows 8 well it just started to show that the skype i was using was going out of date so i decided to follow the link to download the desktop version now it wont work with my mic not sure if it a issue with microsoft end or skypes end. anyone got any ideas how to fix this problem?

  • Blue Icicle mic not working

    Tried all the internet fixes ASIO4 all and so on
    and still my blue icicle mic does not work with Premiere 11 elements
    It works in windows movie maker, AVS, and all the other software I have

    Welcome to the forum.
    Premiere has some problems with USB connected mics. Some work, but some do not. I do not recall any posts specific to the Blue Icicle XLR to USB setups, in either the PrE, or PrPro Forums. I have not seen mention of it in the Audition Forum, but spend a lot less time there, so you might do a Search of that forum. Though there are differences between Premiere and Audition, there are some similarities, as well.
    As a test, I would borrow a mic that plugs directly into the sound card/mic input, and see if PrE sees that.

    Will a few days ago i was playing this game called league of Legends and i was on skype and team speak and then suddenly my mic just stped working and i didnt do anything to the setting. It just stopped working.....Please help me.

    I saw one post where a user said dust was in the small mic hole. Used a vacuum to remove and restored the audio.
    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

  • SoundBlaster PCI 128 Crackling/Popping, Mic Wont Work Now Eith

    Hello everyone, im kinda a noobie here so give me some leeway, gonna take a shot at this.
    Okay, so yesterday i felt like messing around with my graphics card which led to...problems of course.
    Anyway, i had to uninstall Windows XP SP and SP2, which were both on my system, i reinstalled SP2, but noticed my mic would now make large pops and crackles, and i could BARELY be heard on ventrilo. My speakers were also the same way. So, i uninstalled SP2 and put SP back in hoping something would fix itself. Still didnt work. Not sure what i messed up, but everything was perfect beforehand, there were absolutely no pops or crackles in my mic or my speakers, everything was fine. Anyone know what i can do to get back on track again?, Im going to install SP2 over SP like before tonight, but anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks alot!

  • I just got the new Ipad. When I try to send a message to my friends Iphone the blue send icon wont work.  Anybody have any advice on how to make this work.

    The blue icon is there, its just isnt bolded and doesnt do anything when i press it.  Please help!

    First, try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

  • Ipod touch keeps giving me a blue screen and wont work, HELP!!!

    So earlier today my ipod gave me a notification that a new ios software update was avaliable so i began the update. But during the update, i got impatient (like i always am -_-) and i decided to turn my ipod completely off by holding down the top and home buttons at the same time like an idiot........HUGE MISTAKE!! Now everytime i try and turn it on, all it does is show the logo and then it goes to a blue screen and the bluescreen fades out to white and stays that way. Each time i try and turn it off it keeps repeating this process. How can i fix this?? Will my ipod be like this forever? HELP :'(

    Try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing is lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

  • Safari 2.0.4 with upgrade to 10.4.11 wont work, help, please

    I am just beside myself. Safari wont work. I have broadband and all is well there, I've run disk warrior, all is well there. I've run disk first aid to check and verify disk. All well there. I upgraded to OS 10.4.11 from Upgrade on my g5, and safari wont load its face page; it just hangs pale blue highlight over half of this phrase "Go to this address."
    I have tried everything I know. I am just so disappointed in apple. So not understanding what to do. I am not computer saavy and this is such a disaster; this is my computer for my work; I'm a work at home mom.
    Please can anyone help me? I read people saying third party things, but I do not know what they mean or what those 3rd party things are by name.
    I'm sorry to go and on, I am just so upset, and could kick myself for being so naive about thinking oh, a nice upgrade, no problem
