BOM scenario and pricing

Hello SD friends,
I'm trying to map some BOM scenario here.
I got a main item "A" which has components: B, C and D
Main item should NOT be relevant for princing whereas components should.
So basically, item A should have value (price) = 0.
Components should have the following prices :
- Item B : 20 dollars
- Item C : 20 dollars
- Item D : 10 dollars
Then, total amount of components is : 50 dollars
I would like to make only the main item (A) appears in the billing document (tcode: VF01) with value 50 dollars.
Is that possible ? How ?
Best regards,
Bahia.
Edited by: Bahia M. on Nov 24, 2009 12:18 PM

Hi
Its possible by cumulating prices of B,C and D to A.
Create a new condition type
take the condition class as Amount
take the calculation type as Formula
take the structure condition  as Cumulation Condition
Check Group condition also.....
Make the item category belonging to A as billing relevant and B,C,D not relevant to billing.
Item category of A field Statistical value take it as X  .
then hopefully it works and i have also worked on the same thing earlier.
all the best, feel free to ask still you have doubts.

Ram

  • Proposal.:.Multiple Purchase Unit of Measure and pricing

The objective of this message is to start a discussion around procurement unit of measure and pricing.
Currently, some of our clients are facing the following limitation:
    - They stock an item in a specific unit of measure (let say metre)
    - They buy in a different unit of measure (let say unit).
In this scenario, we have a conversion factor of 6 for example so when we order 1 unit, the system will stock 6 metres.
The issue is that the pricing in SAP Business One for procurement is expressed in stocking unit of measure. It means that we do not have any possibility to enter the price by unit. For example, if in my purchase price list I enter $10 for one unit, on the purchase order, SAP will calculate if I buy 1 unit: $10 x 6 = $60. This is obviously wrong.
The second issue is that I can buy the same product from 3 suppliers but in 3 different UoM (one supplier will sell it in unit, another one in metre and another one in pack of 10). The system can not accomodate this business scenario.
    Regards,
    Vincent

quite late, but I faced the same issue with a window-maker company. They buy alumium bars (different lenghts) and keep them and worked them in meters.
What we do was use the Production module, and define a new BoM item (bar_meter), so when they buy 1 bar (6.4 meters) and they want to use it, they create a production order to create 6.4 new bar_meters. Then they used as many meters as needed to make the window.

  • Tax and pricing info are not flowing into Idoc orders02-eledp04 and 05

    Hi,
We are carrying out SRM5.5 -SUS and ECC6.0 Integration using PI 7.
We are configuring for the MM-SUS Scenario.
Now,to accomodate the Tax / Pricing we have installed the add on
component LOCINSUS and we are having doubts on how to use it:
    1) Tax and pricing information are not flowing into IDOC- orders02
(e1edp04 and e1edp05 segments are not present in the created IDOC). The
condition print indicator in checked on ECC System and we have also
    implemented SAP note 995986.
2)In create ASN transaction , we are not able to see the Excise Invoice
Number and Date field in Basic data tab as expected from SAP Library
document although we have installed the Localization Add on component.
Please help us to reso1ve these issues,

  • Difference Tax and Pricing Procedures???

    Hii experts
some body can tel what is the difference between tax and pricing procedures?
Pricing excise duties will not come or how the scenario..??
Some explain me without any ling here, it will be thankfull.
    Thanks
    SAP-MM

    HI,
Basically why we have taxing procedure is that its always country specific that means it can be any vendor selling any material but he has to follow some government regualations whcih is what will be given in the taxing procedure that sholuld be the same for all customers it will be different if the customer is foreign.
The pricing procedure is where we carry out pricing that is vendor specific here we can have different prices for different vendors depending on what he supplies and ETC.

  • BOM quantity and Base quantity

    Hi,
I have the follwoing scenario in BOM.
    I have a plate size of 700 (OD) x 500(ID) x 60 (Thickness).
I'll cut this plate in to following different items (Different material code) and qty
    A - 28
    B - 3
    C - 1
    D - 1
    E-  2
How can I define in BOM in terms of Base quantity and Item Quantiy
    Kindly guide me .
    Regards
    Chandru

    Dear Rajesha,
There is no relationship between A -28 and Size of the raw material.
X- is plate size having the dimensions  OD x ID x Thickness - Raw material.
From this raw material, I'm producing the following material
    A - 28 Nos
    B- 3 Nos
    C -1 No
    D -1 No
    E -2 Nos.
All the 5 materials are called under one assembly. Raw material is same to produce five diff. items .
Now how can I enter in BOM item and raw material details. Moreover this quantity classiffication will varies everytime.
How I'll order the quantity  proportion after MRP to procure the raw material.
    Please clarify.

  • Scenario in pricing

can anyone explaing me one preconfigured scenario in pricing relating to MM according to one business procedure. tks in advance.

If you don't have any custom conditon requirement for your purchasing other than standard pricing than you can use std pricing of purchasing, otherwise copy the std pricing and create your own pricing procedure.
    Pricing Procedure :
In MM module, pricing procedure is used during RFQ and PO creation. Total value of material based on all addition and subtraction like discount, surcharge, tax, freight, etc. In this we are defining pricing procedure and linking to vendor and purchase department through the virtual schemas.
Following steps for pricing procedure as,
    1. Define conditions.
    2. Define pricing procedure.
    3. Define virtual purchase organization and vendor.
    4. Info Record.
    Customization for Pricing Procedure :
    1. Definition of Conditions :
/NMEK0-condition type…condition types- definition (define for basic price, net price, discount, surcharge, tax etc.)
    2. Defining pricing procedure :
/NMEK0- calculation schema-calculation schemas—New entries (Define procedure and put the conditions like formula so that final price will be net price / total value as per company requirement)
    3. Linking pricing procedure to independent condition types.
/NMEK0-condition type…condition types- definition for position for defined conditions (Enter the defined pricing procedure in the each independent conditions “Pricing Procedure” box)
    4. Defining Schema group for Vendor :
    /NMEK0- calculation schema-schema groups—vendor—New Entries.
    5. Defining Schema group for Purchase Organization--- New entries.
/NMEK0- calculation schema- schema groups---- purchasing organization--- new entries.
    6. Linking Virtual Purchase Organization to actual Purchase Organization.
/NMEK0- calculation schema- schema groups----- Assign P.Org. (in actual P.Org, enter virtual P.Org)
    7. Linking Pricing procedure to virtual P.Org and virtual vendor :
/NMEK0- calculation schema- Determine Schema--- -Standard --- New entries (Enter virtual schema and P.Org. along with pricing procedure)
    8. Linking virtual vendor to actual vendor-- /NXK02   then  enter schema group vendor in Purchasing Data )
    9. Info Records (/NME11)---- click on “Purch. Org. data1” and enter condition types and pricing procedure

What are the steps in pricing determination in MM? Condition, Access sequence and schema.
In the SAP MM Pricing is more important. Just yesterday I have completed the Pricing as I am doing the SAPMM now. I can give some light on this Topic, not 100%. After 2 days definitely some more I can share.
The Basic thing is Condition Technique. In which there are
    1. Access Sequence 2. Condition Record 3. Condition Type 4. Condition Table.
A Access Sequence access a Condition Record of a Condition Type in a Condition Table is a  Condition Technique. This is a simple logic
Here the Condition Type is very important like PB00, PBXX,RA01 etc.
In the background every Condition Type has its own defition means the purpose of the Condition Type  like, is it for Pricing or Percentage, Quntity base, Accrual Feilds etc is to be defined to work this functions.
Normally we use the existing ones without any risk. But some cases, we have to Create a New Condition Types as per the organisation requirement.
The Pricing Schema is useful to minimise condition types while mention prices for Vendor on the basis of Pricing Schema which we defined according to organisation requirement.
The Pricing Schema means the calculations procedure of Condition Type.
Ex.  RA01 - Discoount % is caclulated on PB00 - Gross Price  means
RA01 is based on PB00  like that we have to define in the Pricing Schema
which makes easy to use in realtime.
Here PB00 has the Access Sequence - 0002.
But RA01 does not have the Access Sequence. Why because it is a dependent on PB00. But both are Condition Types.
In the system, by default some standard  Scheme will be there at Vendor Schema Group in the Vendor Master Screen means the standard one is assigned which is very lengthy which may fullfil our requirement. But some cases which may not fullfil our requirement, in such we have to define.
For the configuration, I may not able to explain properly through here but will give some Idea.
Configuration: SPRO-IMG-Material Management- Purchasing- Conditions-Define Price Deternmination Process
    1. Define Access Sequence
    2. Define Condition Type
    3. Defince Calculation Schema:- Here you have to define the Schema
    Define Schema group
    1. Define Schema Group vendor
    2. Define Pricing Schema group
    3.  Schema group for Purchase Organisation
    4. Assign Schema group to Purchase Organisation
    Define Schema determination
1.define calculation schema for Standard purchase organisation
After completion of the Schema Group, we have to assign it to Vendors.
Then whenever we use any transaction with this Vendor, the concerned  Schema will work as configured by us.

  • Have an intercompany stock transfrer scenario with pricing

    Dear Friends,
I have an intercompany stock transfrer scenario with pricing..
while the supplying plant creates delivery movt type 643 and after goods issue, I try to do a VF01
It throws up a pricing error.
I need to know how is the pricing determined & how does the movement type 643 ( stk trf with pricing )
    connected with pricing.
    Thanks Ravi

    Hi Ravish Rath,
As u said, the supplying plant creates delivery with movement type '643', check the item category will be 'NLC'
which is assigned to the schedule line category 'NC'
--> Check SPRO --> from that goto --> Define Schedule Line Categories ,
Find NC - Intercompany Replenishment, double click on it.
This will show u the movement types.
Movement Type '643' - TF to Cross - Company.
Movement Type '645' (1 - Step) - TF to Cross Company.
Hope this helps u in linking the movement type
Path: SAP IMG --> Sale and Distribution --> Billing --> Intercompany Billing.
    Have u maintained this configuration?
What is the error u encountered in VF01? Give more details on it.
Have u maintained the pricing procedure determination properly?
I mean for the receiving plant :
    Document pricing procedure - A
    Customer pricing procedure - 1
    Pricing Procedure - RVAA01.
    Condition Type - PR00
    For the supplying plant:
    Document pricing procedure - I
    Customer pricing procedure - 1
    Pricing Procedure - ICAA01.
    Condition Type - PR00.
These r the std ones to be configured in ur pricing procedure determination.
Have u done the integration part in VKOA?
Please check all these things and let me know.
    Thanks
    Keerthi

    Hello Ravi,
Please review the note in this regard:
338922 Analysis note for Cross Company transactions
Especially, please be carefully review the following information
    contained in this note.
    (6) Conditions PI01/PI02/IV01/IV02
In the stock transfer process it may be required that the value
in the intercompany billing document corresponds to the value in
the stock transfer order. As of Release 4.0, you have the option
to copy conditions from the stock transfer order. For this, you
should use the 'Price source' field with setting 'A' (conditions
from purchase order) in Customizing in the copying control
(delivery to billing document). It is also useful to choose
pricing type 'G' here as well.
    In more details,
1- In copy control for billing creation from replenishment cross company
delivery to intercompany billing, the field Price source must be 'A'.
2- in the same copy control the Pricing type is advisable 'G'.
3- make sure that both pricing procedures in billing and purchase have
    the same condition.
Hope that the above information can be of help!

  • Questions about CIN tax procedure choice and pricing schemas

    Hi all,
I have to implement SAP on a Indian company and I'm verifying all particularity about this country (in particular tax procedures and the great number of differents tax conditions used).
I have two questions about tax procedures and pricing schemas. Every feedback about thse points will be appreciated.
    a) To choose tax procedure TAXINN or TAXINJ which are the elements that I have to consider?
I have read lot of documentation about CIN implementation and Iu2019m oriented to choose TAXINN schema, but If possible I  would  to understand better which are on behalf of one choice or another.
    b) To define pricing schemas for India, after check with local users and using examples of documents (in particular tax invoice) actually produced, I have understood that taxes have to be applied on amount defined starting from price list, minus discounts recognized to customer plus surcharges eventually to bill (packing, transport,  etc.).
Itu2019s correct for any type of taxes that tax amount is calculated on u201Cnet valueu201D defined at item level or there are exceptions to this rule?
    Thanks in advance
    Gianpaolo

    hi,
this is to inform you that,
    a) About point 1 I know the difference between the 2 tax procedures (conditions or formulas). I also have read in others post in the FORUM that TAXINN is preferable. So I would to understand which are the advantages to choose instead TAXINJ. There are particular reasons or it'a only an alternative customizing setting?
a.a. for give for posting the link : plese give me the advantages of TAXINJ and TAXINN
    CIN - TAXINN and TAXINJ
    b) About point 2, to define which value has to be used as base amount to calculate taxes isn't a choice, but is defined depending by fiscal requirement of the country, in this case India fiscal requirement. I know that, as Lakshmipathi
write as answer on my question, exception could be, but it was important for me to understand if I have understood correctly the sequence of the pricing condition in the schema in "normal" situation.
b.b. you can create your own pricing procedure for this and go ahead.
    hope this clears your issue.

  • Link b/w credit horizon period and pricing proceadure

    Hi Gurus
what is the link between credit horizon period and pricing proceadure.

    Hi there,
Also check in OVA8 what is the horizion in Dynamic credit check for your credit control area.
Could be that the system is defaulting the horizion from there.
But as per standard, for your case system willnot check the orders that are due for delivery after 2 months. It will consider the orders that are due for delivery only within the 2 months of the order date.
So check the delivery due date is within the 2 months period or after the 2 months.
