BPC Consolidation SPRUNCONSO stored procedure
I am working through the stored procedure for subsidiary investment and equity elimination using the stored procedure SPRUNCONSO. I get there error "CSD-090 Nothing extract from ownership". I have followed the administration guide but seem to be missing some configuration. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
The error generally means you need to check 3 possible issues.
-Check for the property "IS_INPUT" in the Account dimension of the OWNESHIP Cube
-Check if you have some base member from the Account dimension of the OWNESHIP Cube with IS_INPUT = "Y"
-Check If you have valid information (data) in the OWNERSHIP cube for the selected Category Time.
There was a prior Forum Message that outlined all the known Stored Procedure Errors and what to look to improve.

Custom Stored Procedures in BPC (MS)
Hello,
We are designing a fairly complex application in BPC (MS) and because of the complexity we are planning to code it use SQL stored procedure instead of K2 logic.
I am wondering if any of you have written stored procedures in the BPC environment and if so, I would like to know some technical details particularly in terms of appending records to the fact tables
Which Fact table do you write back to FACT2 to FACT (and why?)
How do you ensure that data is consistently updated without interfering with other BPC processes (checking lock tables etc.)
Do you have to carry out any other processes like Dimension processing etc.?
In the Netweaver version all these technicalities are taken care by the BAdI, unfortunately in MS version we do not have such functionality.
Thanks in advance for your help,
RajaThanks Nilanjan,
Your suggestion is what I was hoping for .
A couple of questions regarding stored procedures, (BTW, I come from an SAP background so I don't know this very well). I am not exactly sure how the stored procedure will receive data from the script logic and pass back data to the script logic
For e.g. if the syntax in script logic is as follows: RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=TEST( Parameter 1, Parameter 2,..... ,'%SCOPETABLE%',' %LOGTABLE%' ) (I am basing this example on the standard consoliation stored procedures delivered in BPC)
Does the variable (or table array) SCOPETABLE contain the data set selected in the DM package. If not how do we pass the data set to the stored procedure.
In other words, will the logic within the stored procedure be as follows:
Read data from SCOPETABLE
Perform calculations
Append results to SCOPETABLE and write erros to LOGTABLE
Your clarification in this area will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance,

Legal consolidation stored procedure issue
Hye everyone,
I tried to execute the stored procedure SPRUNCONSO and I have this error. For information I already run the FXtrans and my database is empty. I just inputted the values I needed :
- The method et the percentage in the ownership application
- The input rates for LC and TOT_EUR in the Rate application
- Some values in the Reporting application.
All the input are on the same entity and on the time 2006.JUL.
I don't have any flow dimension but if I understand well it's not an obligation.
Executing SPRUNCONSO [REPORTING],[REEL],[TOT_EUR],[SPSCOPE_250359],[SPLOG_135291]

*ERROR* CSD-160 Problem extracting Data : C_CONSO

The weird thing is that unless the failing during the execution the rows are crrectly inserted. If I delete the parameter scope_table the execution is succesfull but there is no rows calculated.
I hope to be clear.
Thank you in advance for your Help
FranckHi again Franck,
In fact, this message is not necessarily an indication of an error in the script or data, even though it appears so and is misleading. There is nothing wrong when you receive this except for the fact that I believe it to be a bit confusing for users.
In summary, regarding the two errors : ERROR CSD-150 and ERROR CSD-160, the underlying error is a known issue and should be fixed in a future release.
For now, you can use the provided workaround to get rid of those error messages.
Hope this answers your question.
Kind Regards,

Pass BPC SSIS variable to stored procedure
Dear All
We have a ssis package in which there is data flow task. There
is a OLEDB source which uses “Data access mode” as sql command. We used OLEDB data source instead of execute sql task as the outuput is table format generated in Stored proc which is used in following task
This task calls a stored procedure with a input parameter which will be appset name. [EXEC ProcName '@BPCAPPSET']
The stored procedure is executing fine without any issues.But when I pass variable containing appset name to that stored procedure its not taking properly and package ending successful.
The variable is “BPCAPPSET” it contains appset name which
will be taken front end.
However to test if this value is taken by stored procedure
or not, I tried to hardcode and pass appset name to stored procedure. i.e exec
ProcName Appset1.
Appset1 is existing appset. It worked fine. But we want to
put this package in all land scapes, such that whenever it is triggered it will
take the appset as parameter and does the calculation in stored procedure.
Please advice how to pass this variable to stored
procedure.
regards
PrasadHi Roberto
Thanks for your mail.
I have tried, but I am getting error that @BPCAPPSET scalar
variable must be defined.
I believe that @BPCAPPSET is system defined variable which
will be passed from Data manager package. May be this is the reason it is not
recognizing this variable?
If so, should I define a variable in SSIS. How can we
assign value of @BPCAPPSET to the newly defined variable?
Please advise. Attached screenshot. -
Error While Executing Stored Procedure - SAP BPC 5.0
Hi all
I have defined stored procedure 'EP2' in the account transformation rules and which runs fine with all the entities.
But when I filter particular entity which give no data extrace to the selections made instead of giving the comment:

Backup Stored Procedure SAP BPC MS
Hi All,
I am looking for a way to emulate the back-up procedure that gets initiated by the back-up in server manager. I would imagine that it is a stored procedure/+COM component that gets fed both the application set name and the folder path. If i had this i could schedule backups easily with a batch job.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
AvdBHi,
You don't need to use Xceedzip.dll.
Backup with server manager means:
Backup of SQL Server database
Zip (with winrar or winzip) of folder "nameofappset" from FileDB folder
Zip (with winrar or winzip) of folder "nameofappset" from Webfolders
After that these files has to be put into a folder with follow structure:
"appset name"
- SQL (folder) and inside a file: "appsetname".bak (sql backup)
- FileDB (folder) and inside a file "appsetname.zip" (zip of folder from filedb)
- Webfolder (folder) and inside a file "appsetname.zip" (zip of folder from webfolder
This can be used after that to be restored with server manager.
I hope this will help you to create your automate backup.

Could not find stored procedure
Dear gurus,
I am working, for the first time, on a SAP BPC ( MS ) demo.
I have created a new input schedule based on a dynamic template, with some modifications.
However when I try to submit data, it gives an error:
"Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.up_ConcurrentLockDEL_HR'.;"
DEL_HR is my application and is based on a existing one "FINANCE", but I have added new dimensions and deleted another ones.
I can not understand this message because I don't know where I define stored procedures. I also commented all script logics that this application had.
Could you help me on this?
Best regards,
Vitor RamalhoHi Vitor,
You need to login to the server, where SQL has been installed. You can login to that system using remote desktop connection.
Once you login to the SQL server, under the databases, you will find your application set. Expand it and navigate to Programmability and then to Stored Procedures. Here, you will get all the stored procedures.
The above statements will guide you to find the stored procedures. However, the problem, we are looking at is little different. Usually, with every application, a stored procedure with the name, "dbo.up_ConcurrentLockappname" gets created automatically. However, I am guessing that this stored procedure is not available for your application. Search for the stored procedure just to make sure that its available or not. If its not available, search for dbo.up_ConcurrentLockFinance. I am asking to search for the Finance one since your application is copy of the Finance application. So, just to make sure that the source application is fine. If this stored procedure is present but the stored procedure for your application is not present, then I would suggest you to create the application once again. Process it properly.
Hope this helps. -
*WHEN and STORED PROCEDURES
Hi there!
I have a transformation group in a stored procedure type account transformation that i would like to fire only lets say when TIME.MONTHNUM = 1 2 or 3. (basically 1st quarter).
Here is what the book says:
Stored procedures must be written in their own commit section,
i.e. they cannot coexist with a WHEN/ENDWHEN structure,
nor can be part of any MDX logic.
What is the workaround? (i still wanna use the BR)
Thanks for your help
NicConditional logic branching of this sort isn't supported in BPC script logic -- at least in the Microsoft SQL logic syntax. I don't know about NW and ABAP, but hopefully that will give more options for efficient coding.
In SQL, you have no choice but to call the stored proc, passing the MonthNum as a parameter, and then building your condition in the stored proc itself.
The only instruction that can go inside a *when / *is structure is a *REC command -- nothing else like an *INCLUDE or a *RUN_STORED_PROC or a *RUN_ALLOCATION. It'd be nice if that were possible. -
Get variable values from a stored procedure
I am using SQL 2008R2 and I want to replace a view inside a stored procedure with a new stored procedure to return multiple variable values. Currently I am using the code below to get values for 4 different variables. I would rather get the 4 variables
from a stored procedure (which returns all of these 4 values and more) but not sure how to do so. Below is the code for getting the 4 variable values in my current sp.
DECLARE @TotalCarb real;
DECLARE @TotalPro real;
DECLARE @TotalFat real;
DECLARE @TotalLiquid real;
SELECT @TotalCarb = ISNULL(TotCarb,0),
@TotalPro = ISNULL(TotPro,0),
@TotalFat = ISNULL(TotFat,0),
@TotalLiquid = ISNULL(TotLiq,0)
FROM dbo.vw_ActualFoodTotals
WHERE (MealID = @MealID);You can replace the view with inline table valued user-defined function:

Pointbase : How can I create a stored procedure with Pointbase database?
Hello,
Excuse me for my english, I'm not anglophone. I try to create a stored procedure.
This is my file SampleExternalMethods.java :
import java.sql.*; //import com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcInOutDoubleWrapper; public class SampleExternalMethods { // A connection object to allow database callback static Connection conn = null; static Statement l_stmt; static Statement m_stmt; static CallableStatement m_callStmt = null; static ResultSet l_rs = null; public static void main(String[] args) { try { String url = "jdbc:pointbase:server://localhost/pointbaseDB"; String username = "PBPUBLIC"; String password = "PBPUBLIC"; conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password); doCreateProcedure(); doInvokeProcedure(); } catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } finally { if (m_stmt != null) { try { m_stmt.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } if (m_callStmt != null) { try { m_callStmt.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } if (conn != null) { try { conn.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } } public static void getCountry(String Iso_Code) { try { // Query the database for the country iso code l_stmt = conn.createStatement(); l_rs = l_stmt.executeQuery( "SELECT * FROM countries" + " WHERE country_iso_code ='" + Iso_Code + "'"); //Affichage du résultat de la requête l_rs.next(); System.out.print(l_rs.getString(1) + " - "); System.out.print(l_rs.getString(2) + " - "); System.out.println(l_rs.getString(3)); // Close the result set l_rs.close(); } catch (SQLException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } finally { if (l_rs != null) { try { l_rs.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } if (l_stmt != null) { try { l_stmt.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } } public static void doCreateProcedure() throws SQLException { // SQL statement to create a stored procedure String SQL_CREATE_PROC = "CREATE PROCEDURE getCountry(IN P1 VARCHAR(30))" + " LANGUAGE JAVA" + " SPECIFIC getCountry" + " NO SQL" + " EXTERNAL NAME \"SampleExternalMethods::getCountry\"" + " PARAMETER STYLE SQL"; // Create a SQL statement m_stmt = conn.createStatement(); // Execute the SQL m_stmt.executeUpdate(SQL_CREATE_PROC); // Close the statement //m_stmt.close(); } public static void doInvokeProcedure() throws SQLException { // Create SQL to invoke stored procedures String SQL_USE_PROC = "{ call getCountry(?) }"; // Create a callable statement with three binding parameters m_callStmt = conn.prepareCall(SQL_USE_PROC); m_callStmt.setString(1, "CA"); m_callStmt.executeQuery(); // Close the callable statement //m_callStmt.close(); } }
Afterwards, I have read this note in a Pointbase document:
To invoke the dateConvert external Java method from a stored function, you must use the
CREATE FUNCTION statement. The dateConvert external Java method is called from the
class, SampleExternalMethods.
In order for the database to access this external Java method, the class SampleExternalMethods
must be included in the database CLASSPATH. For PointBase Embedded - Server Option, it
must be in the Server CLASSPATH, but not in the Client CLASSPATH.
If PointBase Server is run with the Java Security Manager, in the java policy file grant
’com.pointbase.sp.spPermission’ to the class that implements the external Java method.
An "spPermission" consists of a class name with no action. The class name is a name of a class
that could be used in creating a Stored Procedure in PointBase. The naming convention follows
the hierarchical property naming convention and that is supported by
"java.security.BasicPermission". An asterisk may appear by itself, or if immediately preceded
by ".", may appear at the end of the name, to signify a wildcard match. The name cannot
contain any white spaces.
I'm not sure, but I suppose that I must include the class SampleExternalMethods in a .jar file.
The database CLASSPATH could be : C:\Sun\AppServer\pointbase\lib\
These my files in this database CLASSPATH:
pbclient.jar
pbembedded.jar
pbtools.jar
pbupgrade.jar
I have tryed to include the class SampleExternalMethods in pbclient.jar and pbembedded.jar with this command:
jar -uf pbembedded.jar SampleExternalMethods
Afterwards I do that,
1) Start Pointbase
2) Configuration of classpath
set classpath=C:\Sun\AppServer\pointbase\lib\pbclient.jar
set classpath=%classpath%;D:\J2EE\Ch07Code\Ch07_06
I precise that my file SampleExternalMethods is into D:\J2EE\Ch07Code\Ch07_06\Ch07.
Then, I run the program:
D:\J2EE\Ch07Code\Ch07_06>java -Djdbc.drivers=com.pointbase.jdbc.jdbcUniversalDriver Ch07.SampleExternalMethods
But I have an error message:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Ch07.SampleExternalMethods (wrong name: SampleExternalMethods)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.DefineClass(ClassLoader.java:539)
The problem, I suppose, comes from that the class SampleExternalMethods
must be included in the database CLASSPATH, but there is a pbserver.jar with pointbase normally, but I didn't find it. That's why I use pbembedded.jar or pbclient.jar in order to include the class SampleExternalMethods. May be I must start from C:\Sun\AppServer\pointbase\lib\ instead of D:\J2EE\Ch07Code\Ch07_06\Ch07?
Please, can somebody helps me?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your response, I have done two classes:

}But I have the same error message that previously.
I have read this note and I suppose that the problem is linked:

Can you explain me what I must to do in order to solve this problem of spPermission.

How to view the returned data from a stored procedure in TOAD?
Hi,
I created ref cursor in the stored procedure to return data. The stored procedure works fine, just want to view the result in TOAD. The BEGIN... EXEC... END can execute the stored procedure, but how to make the result display?
Thanks!Right click the editor and choose
"Prompt For Substitution Variables".
Run for example the following code:
DECLARE
PROCEDURE p (cur OUT sys_refcursor)
AS
BEGIN
OPEN cur FOR
SELECT *
FROM DUAL;
END p;
BEGIN
p (:cur);
END;
The result will display in Toad's Data Grid!

Jignesh SI have tried this with both the owner of the schema and the intended user, -from both forms and directly.
All rights was granted on the stored procedure. Since posting I have found that one of the tables that the procedure might insert into, was not explicitly granted to the intended user, and after rectifying that the error message went away.
-however, the procedure now silently "finishes" without any evidence that it ever ran, if invoked from the forms application. When invoked from SQL Plus (or JDev, or Toad) it runs as expected.
I have no public synonym for the procedure, -is that necessary?
The stored procedure in question is implemented in java, and published as a stored procedure. It does rather heavy lifting, when running, using a view against another server , updating local tables and quite a lot of data validation/cleansing, and logging. All recourses are within the same schema.
Any ideas? -
Error while calling a stored procedure using SQLJ
I am calling a stored procedure defined inside a package through a SQLJ script. The first parameter of that procedure is a IN OUT parameter which is used as a ROWID for creating a cursor. That ROWID value is the same for every record in the table, thereby enabling us to create a cursor.
When I give a hard-coded value as a parameter, I get an error stating that the assignment is not correct as the query is expecting a variable and not a literal. Hence I removed the hard-coded value and included a dymanic value in the SQLJ call.
String strVal = "A";
#sql{CALL ASSIGNMENTS_PKG.INSERT_ROW :{strVal},'SALARY_CODE_GROUP','BU',3,105,sysdate,1,sysdate,1,1)};
Here "ASSIGNMENTS_PKG" is a package name and INSERT_ROW is the procedure.
When the SQLJ program is run, I get an error stating:
"PLS-00201: identifier 'A' must be declared"
I read the error message, but I am not able to understand where I need to give the GRANT permission to.If you're using Oracle Provider for OLE DB (OraOLEDB) to execute this stored procedure, you need to set PLSQLRSet attribute. This attribute can be set in registry, connection string, or command object. Please refer to User Documentation for more information.

Trouble resetting i cloud username and password?
Yup the iPhone won't let you change iCloud setting on an iPhone. I resolved it by logging into Apple tech support afterwards and creating a new iCloud account with it's own username and password and I was back up and running. Not perfect, but once
