BPM Mapping Error using JDBC adapter JDBC - SAP -  JDBC

Hi
I am facing an issue in XI BPM in my QA system .
My scenario involves a JDBC sender adapter which calls an SQL in the legacy database , a BPM which process the SQL resultset and IDoc send from BPM to R/3.Once IDoc is send successfully to R/3 XI BPM sends a response back to legacy database.
There are 4 mapping transforations inside BPM.
First XI executes an SQL in the database and then transforms it using BPM steps.
I  have not made any changes in the mapping or within BPM.
However since last week the BPM is failing . When I checked the error log I found out the error due to mapping transformation in one of the steps.
In fact XI fails to successfully map in that step.
The same BPM and mapping works fine in the Production system.
However when I manually tried to test the BPM and the mappings with Production payload in XI QA system it again failed.
I believe the message is failing not due to data problem.
I also tried by deactivating and reactivating the XI sender channel which calls the SQL in the database.
Then I tried by restarting all backgrounds jobs related to BPM.
Both apprpoaches failed.
I am getting the following error in transformation step.
<b>com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeExceptionRuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~</b>.
Any inputs will be very helpful and rewarded.
Thanks in advance.

Please provide more detailed exception trace.
Also, I have seen some cases where the imported/deployed classes simply disapeared!!!
I had to make dummy changes in all my message mappings and activate them in order to get them working.
Regards,
Henrique

    Hi,
    Can you post the details of your application - like when is this exception thrown during a transaction?
    This is a generic error which appears usually during xa resource enlistment or delistment - and of course Oracle neglects to give any proper message. And also, which appserver are you using?

  • BPM patterns for using CIDX adapter

    Hi,
    I am trying to implement the below requirement and am having problems doing that. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
    Requirement:
    We need to send an order create message from file system A to
    Elemica(using CIDX adapter) asynchronously and capture the RA back and
    convert it into a message and send it to a file system B.
    I tried the below scenarios already and could not maker it work:
    <b>Scenario 1</b>: I tried creating a scenario using Sync- Async bridge, but
    it did not work as I need to send some response back to the File system
    A. In this case I do not have any response to send.
    I created an external definition for RA and used it for mapping to the
    File system B interface.
    CIDX adapter is not accepting any messages if we try to send
    synchronously.
    <b>Scenario 2</b>: I could not make my scenario work if I am trying to create
    in my SWCV. So, I created all my abstract
    interfaces for my business process in the CIDX SWCV. Now I created
    Async – Sync scenario by sending a synchronous order create request to
    Elemica. It did not work as CIDX adapter does not support any
    synchronous messages( guessing).
    Apart from the above questions, I have few additional questions:
    1. Can we send synchronous messages to Elemica through CIDX
    adapter? If so, how do we configure our communication channel as
    only “Asynchronous” option is available.
    2. If we have File-Elemica-File scenario, how do we configure the
    scenario?
    3. Are there any blogs having scenarios with BPM involving CIDX
    adapter? If so, pls send a link.
    Thanks in Advance,
    GP

  • BPM Mapping error in SXI_MONITOR  Message scheduled on outbound side.

    When I try to process this message i get an error.
    Message scheduled on outbound side.
    I am using a BPM.
    MI_Source -> MI_Receive_BPM -> MI_TRANS1_BPM -> MI_TRANS2_BPM -> MI_TARGET
    Using EOIO in the send step Queue Name: cases
    If I remove MI_TRANS2_BPM the message reaches the bpm, but with both transformation in the BPM the message gets an error in the queue where I get a green flag 'Message Scheduled on the outbound side"
    This BPM was working on Friday but hasn't worked since. There have been no changes to the my development XI environment.
    Some things that i have tried: Clearing the Queues (smq2), Redoing the entire scenario, clearing cpa cache.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Chirag

    Hi,
    MI_Source -> MI_Receive_BPM -> MI_TRANS1_BPM -> MI_TRANS2_BPM -> MI_TARGET
    Any specific need to have the above design pattern....you can also try:
    MI_Receive_BPM -> MI_TRANS_BPM -> MI_TARGET
    You can use the message that you initially receive and apply all the necessary transformation on it and the map it to the target structure....
    As you mentioned that if you remove MI_TRANS2_BPM your message is executed successfully...it means that the BPM transformation 2 is waiting for some event / Message....
    If you need to go by the same design then you can follow the below steps to resolve the problem:
    1) Check the return code of BPM in SXI_CACHE...it should be 0
    2) Check for any errored instance of your BPM in SWWL (as mentioned in above posts)
    3) Open the corresponding Queue and see for the messages stuck in the Queue....your Queue may be blocked....your BPM will be using a particular Queue and if any message is stuck in the Queue then all the messages that follow will get stuck in the Queue....
    Now if it is only your BPM that is using this particular Queue then Delete the Queue (applicable to development environment....do not try in QA or Production environment)
    4) In SXMB_MONI click on "PE" and open the Graphic Flow to see where actually your BPM has failed (possible only if the message has entered the BPM.

    Abhishek.

  • Error using XI adapter

    Hi
    I have configured XI receiver adapter. IN RFC destaination, i have given as G type, HTTP destination.
    When testing the interface, it throws an error "HTTP response status code 400 with description OK".
    Can you please let me know what might be wrong.
    Regards,
    Anil.

    Hi Satish,
    If you are using XI adapter for ABAP-based receiver(ABAP proxy), the destination is an RFC destination of type H (HTTP onnection to an SAP system).
    other cases ( non-ABAP-based receiver), the destination is an RFC destination of type G.
    please let me know what is your case.

  • Re:  Hi friends How to use sseeburger adapter in SAP PI

    I am newly in sap pi.
    can any one explain Seeburger adapter briefly

    Hi Ranga,
        Welcome to SCN.
    As you are new around here, i suggest you to please search the forum before posting your question.
    To answer to your question, Seeburger is the name of the company which provides its set of adapters for SAP PI.
    I assume that you are talking about the Seerburger AS2 adapter, as it is the mostly used seeburger adapter.
    The Seeburger AS2 adapter is capable of translating an EDIFACT/ ANSIX12 message/file into a format that is understood by PI and vice versa.
    It is also capable of handling the AS2 transport protocol (EDI Over internet).
    Best Regards,

  • Jdbc-odbc java error using SQL adapter in o9iASWireless

    I've used the SQL adapter in the previous releases of wireless without any problem. Most of the time I would use it for all the wireless PLSQL applications in the Oracle database and it works very OK.
    I have also used it to connect with a SQLserver database to try out some queries. In this case I would use the standard JDBC/ODBC bridge driver from SUN.
    In release 2.0 I can't connect with this SQL Server database anymore.
    I've added a system DSN to the ODBC configuration of the Windows 2000 server. This will give access to a internal SQL server database via TCP. A password username is required.
    When I try to add a SQLservice in the service designer using the SQL adapter I will use the following parameters:
    JDBC connect string: JDBC:ODBC:<DSNNAME>
    JDBC driver: sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    un: <username>
    pw: password>
    Query (without ';'): select count(*) from <tablename>
    Minimum number of Database connections in the pool 5
    Maximum number of Database connections in the pool 100
    Increment size for the connection pool 1
    Idle Timeout (in minutes) 30
    Now I get the following error:

    I got the error 'java.lang.ClassCastException: sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcConnection' in my log and tried to find out the meaning of this error at java.sun.com. It's stil not clear what exactly causes the error but it looks like a data formatting error.
    java.lang.ClassCastException
    (Thrown to indicate that the code has attempted to cast an object to a subclass of which it is not an instance. For example, the following code generates a ClassCastException:
    Object x = new Integer(0);
    System.out.println((String)x); )
    Is it just a data formatting problem or has it something to do with the JDBC/ODBC driver version of the JDK from the appliction server release 2.0.
    I remember that I was always able to connect to the SQL server database with previous releases also with a count query. I've also used JDK 1.3.1 with o9iAS release 1.0.2.1.
    Any suggestions for a solution?

  • ORA-00601 Error using JDBC, Oracle 8i on Linux

    Hello,
    Spatial is considering using Oracle as its database platform. I was assigned
    the task of benchmarking the two platforms. So, I downloaded the latest copy
    of Oracle for Linux, version 8.1.6.1.0 ( 8i Enterprise Edition Release 2 ).
    I'm using RedHat 6.2, with a 2.2.14-5.0smp kernel. I ran the installer, set
    up the databases, and everything seemed to be running quite nicely. I copied
    a table and its data from mysql to Oracle, and wrote a java program to
    benchmark the two. This java program takes command line arguments, the first
    one being the connection URL, the second being the number of threads to
    start, the third being the number of operations to complete for each thread.
    So, if you pass it connection 35 35, it will open 35 threads, and each
    thread will then execute 35 selects, inserts, and updates. These are
    hard-coded queries, but they mimic the functionality currently in
    production.
    Oracle bombs on the update. I turned tracing on, and tried it again, with
    the same result. Here's an excerpt from one of the trace files:
    *** SESSION ID:(4.1) 2000-06-21 16:36:48.937
    kvotenlg: epc_collect failed. EPC error: -1073751468.
    CDF: /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6/otrace/admin/cdf/styorap0
    FDF: /u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6/otrace/admin/fdf/oracled.fdf
    kvotenlg: epc_collect failed. ctx:368.
    I was not able to find any information regarding this error. However, this
    message ( or one very similar ) appeared in every trace file. I get the
    following at the end of the pmon_xxxx.trc file:
    Load Indicator not supported by OS !
    *** 2000-06-21 17:42:19.122
    error 601 detected in background process
    And, the following in the alert_sid.log file:
    Wed Jun 21 17:42:19 2000
    PMON: terminating instance due to error 601
    Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 3797
    I made the assumption that this error was actually ORA-00601, and took a
    peek on the internet for relavent information. The canned error message is
    "PMON process runs into lock conflict trying to recovery processes". I found
    someone who had a similar problem, who suggested setting mts_max_dispatchers
    in the initsid.ora file to 1. However, this did not work.
    Basically, when Oracle crashes, the java program is trying to update one
    column in 1225 rows, 35 times, for 35 threads. The java exception is below.

    Has anyone seen this kind of behavior before? Is this merely a
    misconfiguration on my part? Help! :)
    -ned

    Sorry for the long delay in reply. I was using the thin client driver. However, when I switched to the oci8 driver, not only did I observe a 300% increase in speed, but this bizarre occurrence disappeared. I did find one issue with the oci8 driver, as follows.
    In this thread program, if I created a connection in the main program before any of the threads were instantiated, and when the first thread attempted to create a connection, it would produce a segmentation fault. This behavior was very easy to replicate, and it did not matter whether or not I close the original connection. This problem was circumvented by moving the code in the "main" program to create its connection after the child threads had created theirs.

  • ORA-01461 error using jdbc 10.2.0.1.0

    I am using the oracle jdbc 10.2.0.1.0 ( the latest version) and oracle 10g (10.1.0.4.0) database. Sometimes, the error "ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column' if I use a java program to insert record to a table containing a 'long raw' field. Previously, the same java program work well with oracle 9i.
    Interestingly, the 'ORA-01461' only SOMETIMES happen. If the problem appears, I need to rename the table and create a new one and then the data can be inserted.

    After 3 days of deep analysis on my project, now I have a clear idea of the problem.
    As you can find on web, newer versions of Oracle drivers for Java have the possibility to set property :
    oracle.jdbc.RetainV9LongBindBehavior=true
    it's considered the fix for this bug, and effectively it seems to work.
    But also with this setting, drivers have one more bug!+
    The problem appears in these conditions:
    - Application tries to save a string into a LONG column database
    - String length is more than 4000 bytes
    - String has less than 4000 characters (it's possible in case of international characters, which takes more than 1 byte)
    With these conditions, we have again error ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column.
    It seems that drivers evaluate string length before saving it, and consider it as LONG only for 4000+ characters. The bug is just on this check, that must consider length in bytes, according to database character encoding, and not simply for character length.
    As workaround, on my application we added a logic that appends spaces (" ") until total characters are at least 4001. In this way, string is considered correctly as LONG and storage works correctly.
    The check is something similar to this:
    if(value.getBytes("UTF-8").length > 4000 && value.length() < 4000)
    for(int x = value.length(); x<=4000; x++)
    value += " "; // always use StringBuffer for appending
    This workaround works, but it's clear that it can be not acceptable in many cases, for application funcionalities. In my specific bug, it has been very useful.
    My customer opened a ticket to Oracle, asking for solution of this bug. I will wait for Oracle answer.
    Finally, we have to say that Oracle warned to not use anymore LONG datatype: it's deprecated since v8.0.
    Bye guys ;-)

    I am using NetBeans IDE and have created a database under: Services->Databases-> Java DB->SimpleDBDemo.
    I have a database connection in which theres a simple table (called "TABLE1") created which contains the names and ages of two people. I am trying to access the data of these two people.
    From what i can figure out i am getting a runtime error. I have downloaded a folder called "Microsoft SQL Driver 2005 JDBC Driver" which contains the "sqljdbc.jar" executable file. I copied the jar file to the library in "Program files->Sun->javadb" and then added the file to the project libraries section i.e. "Project->properties->add JAR/Folder->sqljdbc.jar" in netbeans.
    I am still getting the same runtime error. Have i the sqljdbc.jar file added in the wrong place?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Microsoft SQL Driver 2005 JDBC Driver is not the Derby driver.
    You need the correct JDBC driver for the database you are using, you can't simply grab the first one you find.

    I'am trying to run the following scenario:
    FILE --> XI --> IDOC (r/3).
    Data is read and mapped towards an internal format. Then a mapping from the internal format to MATMAS_BAPI01 is done.
    I disabled EDI_DC40 and did the needed mappings.
    When I execute the scenario I get the following error.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Call Adapter
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_RUNTIME</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>MSGGUID CA9DC2E01F1211DA9EED000D56B9D8A6: Control record must start with tag EDI_DC40, not E1BPMATHEAD</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
      <SAP:Stack>Error: MSGGUID CA9DC2E01F1211DA9EED000D56B9D8A6: Control record must start with tag EDI_DC40, not E1BPMATHEAD</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    I expected that the XI system would automaticly fill in the needed info in EDI_DC40.
    Does anyone has an idea what is going wrong?
    Kind regards

    hi,
    most probably your idoc message
    has a wrong format
    when you import your new idoc to integration repository
    does it have EDI_DC40 at the beggining?
    BTW
    try without disabling the edi_dc40
    you cna also have a look at my weblog:
