Browser crash when applet in init method - JRE 1.5

When using the 1.5 JRE to display an applet within a web page and the applet is in the start method the browser crashes.
Steps to recreate:
1. Create a simple applet that has a while loop within the start method.
2. create a web page that contains the applet, a text box, and a link to a url.
3. Open the web page with IE.
4. select the textbox.
5. select the link.
The browser will crash at this point.
Does anyone know what can be done to prevent the crash of the browser? I am trying to limit changes to the applet, but the latest jre may require that changes are made.

The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code.Not much more can be said. The cause does not appear to Java code.

Browser Crashing when opening PDF inside Browser

I have a Windows XP Pro SP 3 with IE 7 , Acrobat Pro 9.
My issue is that whenever I open a PDF inside the browser I get a error message stating that the browser crashed / stopped responding and needs to close. The work around that we have been using was simply inside Adobe going to edit> preferences> internet> unchecking view PDF in browser.
We are launching a new application that requires a PDF to be displayed inside a browser. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
This issue also happens with Firefox, and I have removed and reinstalled adobe several times.

To clarify what you posted:
When opening the PDF document, your browser closes. When pressing the control key and opening the document, you get a dialog window (with the choices of open or save). What happens when you select open?
This is browser behavior, nothing to do with this being a PDF file. Which browser and which platform? If you are using IE7, popup blocker is automatically enabled, and if you are viewing this on a 2003 server, you have server security settings to override. Pressing the control key allows popups.

Browser Crash when Selecting Camera Source

I'm on a Mac with a Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor running OS
10.5.5
I've experienced this issue with Firefox 3.0.3, Safari 3.1.2,
and Camino 1.6.4
I've experienced this issue with websites: Adobe Connect Pro,
Yahoo! Live, and UStream.tv
Whenever I'm attempting to "allow" a website to access my
camera and microphone in the Adobe Flash Player Settings, my
browser crashes.
I can adjust the settings within this Adobe pop-up window
(for example, I can switch between camera/mic sources), but
whenever I click "allow", the browser crashes.
I don't have a webcam. I'm attempting to use "DV Video" as my
camera source. My source is actually not a camcorder at all--but a
DV deck.
I got this to run stably for several hours the other day. The
next day, I started getting the crashes. Now I can't get it stable
at all anymore on this Mac Pro.
I tried the same equipment on someone else's Mac Pro (same
system as described above). It worked fine and appeared stable.
Any thoughts?

i am having this weird problem, on windows XP, if i open a applet in IE or firefox browser and then open a new browser window and try to open another applet in that windows, the browser simply crashes with no error message or anything,
For example
if i click on link below and then when this applet is loaded i open a new browser window and try to open other applet from the link the new opened window closes.
can some one try this on there PC and let me know if it happens there, and what might be the issue?

Browser closing when applet is loaded

Hi,
As you can see from the forum list i'm having soooooooo much problems with my applets!
Please can some one point me in the right direction!
When my applet loads the browser tells me that the main class is loaded but then closes with for no apparent reason!
Does anyone know why?

Mac/Browser crashes when viewing online videos (any browser)

Hi,
I've had this problem for a little while, and I'm not sure what exactly it is. Sometimes when I view a video online, whether it's Flash or Silverlight, Hulu or Netflix, the video will crash. Sometimes it's just the video, other times it's the browser, and other time it's my Mac. I've tried this on Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and it happens on all three. I thought it might be a video card issue, but I can play that are on a drive fine, and it doesn't happen when I'm editing video with Adobe Premiere.
Any suggestions?

Firefox crashes when applet + XSLTProcessor are running

a 66K .xsl file run through firefox when a dummy java applet is loaded (libnpjp2.so 1.6.0_29) crashes my firefox (8.0.1) on Ubuntu 10.0.4

JVM crash when calling no-arg methods of a COM object with JACOB

When I try to call no-arg functions of a COM object with JACOM JVM crashes with the following error

My chrome browser crashes when it is set as the default. Is there a fix for this?

Since I set Chrome as my default browser, it continuously crashes. I've done a reset and re-install before, but i find it easier if I just leave safari as default and use chrome. Does anyone have a better workaround?

Try restarting and see if that changes anything
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart.

Browser crash when printing flash content

I am posting this here because I scoured the web looking for an answer and did not find one.
OS: 10.4.11
Browser: Safari 4.1.2, Firefox 3.6.11
Problem:
Any time I try to print flash content, for example, games or printables from PBSkids.com, my browser would go to the spinning beach ball and crash. Issue affected Safari and Firefox.
Latest version of Flash was installed 10.1.x
Fix: Downgraded to Flash 9. Problem solved am once again able to print flash content such as the examples above.

If Safari is crashing, post a crash report so we can try and help.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash information.
Now copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply here. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.

Nokia 6120c WEB Browser crashing when trying to di...

I tryed to acces the following site: www.erepublik.com which has flash content. The browser loads a part of the site and then exits ( crashes ) without warning. I tryed to install another browser from http://www.skyfire.com/ but this one crashes without loading any site: it asks me which connection to use and then it displays a "connecting..." message after which it crashes ( after about 30 sec ). I have updated my firmware to the latest version ( 6.01 ) and reseted to factory settings but no luck. I continue to have the same problem. Any solution ? It's very annoying.

It works on my firefox and XP. Maybe the site is trying to download something, or one of your software extensions is interfering.

Media Browser crashes when accessing XSan

When using Media Browswer, (premiere or prelude) if I click on our XSAN root on the left, the 'View as:' switches to 'XDCAM-HD' and the program freezes (pinwheel). I can import items from the SAN and play footage just fine using the import dialog in Premiere or drag and drop, so it is not entirely a SAN access issue. It seems to be an error when MB tries to analyse the file structure, and gets stuck - my best guess.
It is a 16TB SAN. CS6, updated.
OSX 10.7.5
XSAN 2.3
Issue occurs on multiple SAN connected machines, including a freshly wiped, newly installed computer.
MacPros 2-4 yrs old.

Hi Yannic
I am not a tech person but it may be easier to start somewhere else, say open Skype and use there settings which have a visual and audio test.
Assuming you have the same menu bar or similar Skype controls, select "tools" ... then "options" ...and you will see a menu including Sound and Video settings.
That is a good and safe place to reset / adjust your video and sound.
Remember that when the camera is usb and uses an inbuilt microphone ... under audio settings select "usb audio" .... I suspect that your speakers will not be running out of your sound control panel.
This is then the advice I have seen around streaming and adjusting broadcasting/streaming settings with flashplayer
1. Ensure the Options shows "Audio-Video" enabled.
2. After start, a Video Broadcaster window will pop-up
Click on the allow button for the Video Broadcaster to gain access to the Webcam.
3. The video Braodcaster will load onto the screen.
4. Right click on the Video Broadcaster to bring up the Flash Settings Dialog.
5. Click on the Settings and then click on the fourth icon for camera.
6. This will show a drop down of all the available cameras. Ensure the correct camera is selected.
7. Clicking on the blue camera icon will show the actual image captured by the camera.

My Browser crashes when Enabling My Web-Camera?

My web-cam is ok i think, It works on the software that came with it on my laptop. I have also Uninstalled the device software and updated it.
If i go to this site called www.testwebcam.com it works perfectly fine on their and that uses Flash.It is just site like Ustream, TvJustin, Stickam, Omegle, Chatroulette.I have
Unistalled Adobe flash a dozen times and Shockwave and updated them and nothing.
If i am using IE and i try to access these site with my camera it will just close the page but if i do this on Chrome it says "The following plug in has crashed: Shockwave flash" and then will a little jigsaw un-happy face.
If i go to Youtube.com and Right click on a video and then go to settings then Adobe Flash Setting Comes up i try to click the camera option and it crashes?
I have a built in Camera on my laptop but it has only started doing this for not so long, It used to be fine.
I have searched all over the Web on forums and asked so many people for help and they just dont know what it could be, If you have any idea what this problem is please let me know it would mean so much.

I'm sorry for implying you're a spammer if you're not.
This forum is specific to Adobe Camera Raw, which is a plug-in for the various Photoshops that opens raw camera files. About as unrelated to a webcam as one can get.
Spammers do occasionally show up in these forums, making what seem like disjointed responses that contain links to other sites. The idea is that they own those sites and are trying to drive traffic to them so they can get larger payouts from things like Google Adsense for more views of their advertisements.
