Buffer trace for more than 5 defined tables possible?

Hello!
With ST05 you can switch on a buffer trace. Using 'trace on for user' makes it possible to activate the trace for a defined number of tables. The number of tables is limmited to 5.
I would like to trace 100 tables. Is it possible to extend this formula. Is it possible to do this with one trace at one time?

Hi Holger!
You can, but you don't need to restrict the trace to specific tables.
So one option: just don't filter any tables and ignore the additional lines later in trace analysis.
Other option: use wildcards (e.g. MAR* for MARA; MARC; MARD tables)
If some tables are blowing up your trace, but aren't any performance problem -> use the exclude part.
Also a restriction to a special program can restrict the tables without using the tables filter explicit.
Also a filter in trace display can restrict the results - but it's still using more memory and time.

    I don't think its possible to create fieldcatalog for different tables,
    but if you want to do so create a dummy table which has all the fields which you want in fieldcatalog.
    populate the data from different table to that dummy table
    then create fieldcatalog for that table and pass it in the function module...

    is it possible to create a trigger for more than one table?
    I need a trigger that fires when anyone of the users updates a special value in one of the DB tables.

    You would wrap the functionality required into a packaged procedure and then have a trigger on each of these tables that simply call this packaged procedure.
    Yes, you would have one trigger per table.

  • Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

    I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
    It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
    or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
    scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
    the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
    scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
    Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
    one but not all tables at a time?

    No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
    You can either create them separately or create them all and
    then discard the one you do not need.

  • Update in JDBC Sender adapter for more than one table

    Dear Friends,
              I have to select more than one table in the JDBC sender using the join condition. But i found that update statement is also mandatory in the sender comm channel. I am not going to update any flag after the select but as it is mandatory, i have decided to use the following update statement which wont effect the existing data UPDATE <tablename> set flag = ' ' where flag = ' '.
    But in my case i have 3 tables, do i need to update stmts for all the three tables.
    if yes how can i do the same.
    plz revert back i u couldnt get the queries.

    Yes, probably either using BMP entity beans, or creating a database view of the two tables.
    However, the actual implementation depends a lot on your database and EJB container. Since I didn't see any details of these in your post, I suggest you research the documentation for both your EJB container and database.

  • Live trace for more than 10 images at a time please

    I need help with an effect I would like to do by applying live trace to a folder of images that later will be asembled as a movie in after effects. I'm not a good scriptor and the only way I have been able to get this to work is in bridge using the live type export. This works excellent only I am limited to 10 images at a time which is not good when there are 30 images in 1 second of video. If I want to apply this effect to hundreds of illustrator files is there a better way.
    Please script experts in adobe land help me. The pay off will be really nice if only I can get it to work. Thanks. -tyler

    Open the script file and near the top (about line #34 change the "10" to what ever number you would like. You may want to keep a back up copy in a safe location prior to making modifications and depending on the number or files you set the new value to you may notice long periods of time that it seems as if the Bridge has hung or stopped responding.

  • Update columns in Table A based on columns in Table B for more than 500K rows

    Guys,
    I need to update 9 columns in table A based on value from table B for for more than 500K rows.
    So what is best way to achieve this. I am thinking of writing a Procedure with cursor to update the rows of table A.
    When i googled about it, they say cursor will decrease the performance. So i have no clue how to go for this.
    Rough code which i though
    1) Procedure  with no parameter
    2) Will declare 9 variable to store value from cursor
    3) cursor will fetch row by row based on join condition between table a and table b
    4) i will pass column values from table B to variables
    5) will make an update statement for table A
    Please let me know if above method is correct or is there any other way to do this without using cursor.

  • Master_detail for more than one record at a time

    Hi,
    How can i display master_detail records for more than one records at a time, for example, i have two tables A and B , A has username and role and B has username and profile. here i wanted to display 10 users at a time on my 6i form with username, role and profile.
    i have created a master-detail relation ship with these tables when i'm executing F8 on blcok A , it displays 10 records on BlockA but, only one at a time on block B, how can i display all corresponding records on block B at a time.

    hello, friend.
    i will still research the subject.  but the first thing that comes into my mind is t-code VA05.  with this, you have the option to change the Plant en masse.  so a possible workaround is for you to list a number of sales orders using VA05.  you then sort the line items by Plant.  choose all items with the same plant, change the plant via mass change... then change back to the original plant.  hopefully, the new settings should apply.
    do test a few sales orders by doing this for a larger scope.

    I am using Oracle9i R-2. I want help in writing a Query using Two Tables in SQL*PLUS. I am using ANSI/ISO Standrard for table-joins:
    select col1, col2, descr
    from tab1 natural join tab2
    There are two columns col1 & col2 is common between thse two tables. So, it will join them and query execute well.
    How can i use 3rd table tab3 in the same way in Natural Join...? If column col1 & col2 is available in tab3 also.
    I tried this way, but it gives me error:
    select col1, col2
    from tab1 natural join tab2 natural join tab3
    Is it possible to specify more than two tables in Natural Join Clause.

    I do not get an error when I try the same thing on the same version, as demonstrated below. Can you post your table structure and a copy and paste of a run of your actual query with the error that you are receiving?

  • Persisting CMP bean over more than one table

    Hello,
    I was wondering if it is possible to persist an Entity Bean over more than
    one table using CMP. For example 3 attributes go in table A and 2 attributes
    go in table B.
    I can see this might come in handy when having some kind of inheritance in
    your architecture.

    CMP are based on one DB object however object could be a database table or a
    view. You can create a view and base your bean on that view. This is mostly
    useful for read-only entity beans that just do select queries because databases
    have all kind of different restrictions on update froma view, ( for example
    ORACLE allows update to only one table in view). However in case you need a
    logical abstraction of multiple tables, consider EJB2.0 relations or a product
    like toplink for your object to relational mapping.

    as you can see its even sometimes not possible to kill the process. I didnt used the normal kernel and didnt tried it with another yet.
