Bug: Change Case as you Type
For some reason the option "Change case as you type" (Preferences > Code Editor > Completion Insight) keeps changing. It will remain the same for a while but changes at some random point. Each time I restart SQL Developer it seems to go back to "+Lower Keywords, Upper Identifiers+".
Here's the information about the current version that I'm using:

Try to set it right also at Preferences - Database - SQL Formatter - Oracle - Edit - Other - Case change.

Just updated to 3.1 on my Mac Lion. It's very likely a bug since it used the work with 3.0.
I have a "temp.sql" file where I store several queries. I start SQL Developer, open "temp.sql", connect to a DB but "completion insight" and "change case as you type" won't work anymore.
If I click in "Unshared SQL Worksheet", the new worksheet tab will work fine with completion and change case, but I want to use my temp.sql and save things there when closing the application.
To reproduce yourself the issue:
Open SQL Dev, connect to a DB (it will open a worksheet), do some queries and check that change case and completion are working, quit SQL Dev, but save the worksheet in a sql file before. Re-open SQL Dev and open the sql file. Connect to the same DB and try to change the queries or create another. Completion and change case won't work anymore.

Versioning Support 3.1.07.42Well, it's partially working, if your sql file is big (like mine), say with more than 1000 lines, then, maybe because of memory usage, the automatic completion won't work as expected, though, sometimes, after a while, crtl-space would stil work.
So, the problem may have been addressed, but I believe this feature can be definitely improved. -
Pages doesn't let me change case
I have the trial version of iWork 09 and I am about to buy it,
but I'm having problems with the change Capitalization function, which is very important to my work.
I select the text I want to change, go to Inspector and make sure the language I want to use is checked (I'm switching between English and Greek usually),
and then go to Format - Font - Capitalization - None (or Title)
but nothing happens.
I've tried both languages to see if iWork doesn't recognize this in Greek, but it still doesn't work.

You misunderstand the features available.
The four items :
None, Title, Small Caps and All Caps
are just styles.
None apply absolutely no changes to what you type.
If you typed "Apple" the text will remain "Apple".
If you typed "apple" the text will remain "apple".
In both cases, if you apply All Caps, the app will display "APPLE"
If you change your advice and switch to Title both cases will display "Apple"
But if you move back to None, you will retrieve exactly what you typed :
case 1 : Apple
case 2 : apple.
If you really want to change the stored string, you must use a third party product : the FREE WordService from Devon Tech.

Does anyone know how to change where incoming (via mail) calendar requests go on my MacBook? Mine insist on going to Entourage, which I don't use any more. I've tried setting the default calendar in iCal preferences. Doesn't help. Bugs me. Can you help?

Did you once considered going to a third party site like Swappa to purchase a gently used device for your daughter? -
Illustrator CC Type "Change Case" keyboard shortcut not working
In Illustrator CS6 I established a keyboard shortcut of Alt+Shift+Ctrl+= to the command Type-->Change Case-->UPPERCASE (and Alt+Shift+Ctrl+- to Type-->Change Case-->Title Case). In Illustrator CC, these two keyboard shortcuts are not working. They are displaying in the Type menu correctly, and the menu commands themselves work correctly, but the shortcuts do not work. Any ideas?
Well, as I stated, the = worked fine in CS6 on Windows. I just tried to changing it to Alt+Shift+Ctrl+U and that one does work correctly. I would prefer that Adobe minimizes functionality regressions in new releases, even if there are conceivably workarounds that I could employ.
Would somebody be willing to try Alt+Shift+Ctrl+= on a PC and see if they can get it to work on their system? -

Change the backend doc type from PR to PO in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.
Hi,
We have followed below approach for backend document type determination.
1. A custom function module contains the logic to determine the backend document type of a Shopping cart line item. THis function module, performs many checks and hence cannot be called in any BADI that is executed in Foreground.
2. I am using BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS to change the follow document type by calling the custom function module.
Issue here is, if the backend document type of a line item is Purchase requisition (2) by SAP standard, and if I try to change it to Purchase order, it gives run time error and ends up in creation of Purchase order.
After further investigation I found that this line item (with default backend doc type as 2) has a desired vendor. If we change the desired vendor of this line item to fixed(To Partner function 19 from partner function 39), it allows us to change the doc type from Purchase requisition to purcahse order in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.
But changing the partner function is possible only in BBP_DOC_CHANGE BADI, and I cannot call the custom function module there, as it may impact the performance.
Is there any other way, I can change the partner function in any of the BADIs called in background?
Or Is there any way by which I can change the backend document type from PR to PO in BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS?Hi Parab

COPA0004 Change in Exch.rate type

We’ve a costing based CO-PA in our instance which is shared by other co.codes in our environment. Now, with new business requirement, we
may have to use a separate exchange rate type for CO-PA than M. We’re trying to achieve this with exit COPA0004. We’ve also read the note 429517 on Currency translation billing document -> CO-PA to understand the value flow to COPA.
Please note that we don’t want to affect current exch.rate settings of existing co.codes which is ‘M’. However, for a new co.code we want
to move values to COPA with ‘P’ exchange rate.
Question-
Is it possible to achieve it through user exit COPA0004 to default exchange rate in COPA based on company code? Or is it a blanket change
for all co.codes if we change the rate from ‘M’ to ‘P’.
We’re evaluating the solution before implementing in system.

planning version settings in CO-PA do only affect planning data!
Conversion with actual data will always be done with rate type 'M'.
Enhancement COPA0004 offers however a possibility to use different
rate type in case of actual data.
Function module EXIT_SAPLKECU_001 can be used to change the exchange
rate type for currency translation when actual data is processed in
Profitability Analysis. By default, the system always translates the
values using the exchange rate type "M". You can change this type
(export parameter E_KURST) for a specific operating concern (import
parameter I_ERKRS). The import parameters I_CURRENCY_FROM and
I_CURRENCY_TO contain the currency key of the currencies involved in the
translation.
You can only change the exchange rate type for translating actual
values! For planning, you specify the exchange rate type in Customizing
when you define your plan versions.

In case if you want a seperate Vendor for frieght, then durning PO creation go to item details, condition tab and you will see all the condition Types, in this select your frieght condition type and then click on the details icon(magnifying glass) after you do this on the right hand side bottom you have a provision to provide vendor for frieght.
Now you will have 2 vendors one for your frieght and then another for material.
While doing MIRO when you select Planned Delivery Costs instead of Goods / Services items you can settle the frieght vendor seperatly and then the materials vendor seperately.

Please confirm if the issue happens to all users in your Exchange server.
In client side, please check the Connection Status when the issue occurs:
Please open Outlook - press CTRL key - right click on the Outlook icon from right bottom corner taskbar –Connection Status to check the connection.
Please notice the Server name, status, protocol and Type information.
In Exchange server, please check whether all Exchange services are started and running in Exchange 2010. Also check whether there is any error information in Event Viewer.
If the issue only happens to one user, please update the Outlook client with the latest patches and service packs to have a try.

Is there a way to find all highlights made in the MacBook iBooks library in the case that you cant remember the book in which the highlight was made?
Some things that might help:
1. Only the most recently used apps actually occupy memory (used to be the most recent 4, but may have changed in the latest iPhones). After 4 (or so), IOS writes them out of active memory, as it does for even the latest 4 if there's no activity for a long time. So the business of closing all the open apps, apart from the most recent ones doesn't make a difference. Tis article has a good explanation:

2. There are settings about background app activity that might help:
- Settings, General, Background App Refresh controls which apps can update their data in the background
- Settings, Notifications controls which apps can tell you things, which they have to wake up to do.

Does ECC 6.0 Provide a Search-as-you-type Enhancement for Sold-To Party Field?
In our quest to continually simplify the creation of sales orders, I would like to know if SAP has provided any way to simplify the search and entry of the customer sold-to or ship-to party. What I am looking for is a way to enter the customer's name (or other customer search criteria such as city) in a single field and have it search-as-you-type. This is also known as instant search, auto-complete and auto-suggestion.
We would like to eliminate the clicks it takes to use the standard F4 search help.
One of our internal developers has created a web-based (.NET) application that brings in SAP data for writing sales orders for a specific segment of our business. This tool allows you to find the ship-to party by typing in the customer's state, city, zip, address or name in the Ship-To field. The instant search feature narrow's the list down as you type. What he has done is written SQL to concatenate the customer name, customer number and address information, and then provided a search-as-you-type feature on top of this.
Fictious Example of concatenated data (State, City, Customer Name, Address, Zip, SAP Customer Number):
WA Seattle, Home Depot, 11616 Aurora Ave N, 98133, 18394978
Typing any of the above information in the field will search for matches and bring back results as you type.
I would like to know if ECC 6.0 has any similar feature that can be used in VA01 to accomplish the same thing.

Rob ScofieldI don't have access to the code our developer used but again, I am referring to a .NET browser-based application. We extract a subset of SAP data using Attunity (say, every hour) and the SAP data is stored in a separate SQL Server database. This database is used by a few browser-based applications we have developed. For example, we have an application that allows external customers or internal employees the ability to look-up the status of an order. The first thing you enter is the customer. In some cases, this may be the Ship-To. In other cases, the Sold-To. The user can simply enter some part of the customer and records are searched for a match, as you type. In our case, the lookup is occurring in SQL Server, not directly in SAP. The developer took a simple approach of using some SQL query magic (it may be in a SQL Server Stored Procedure), to concatenate the relevant customer information that most people use to lookup a customer - Customer Name, Address, Customer Number. So as you type, this entire concatenated string is searched and the list of potential "hits" is narrowed as you type.

This is nothing new in the web commerce world.
I was told by an SAP rep that there might be an enhancement in SAP ECC (SAPGUI Desktop) that could do something similar. However, I never heard back from him and was wondering if anyone else had heard of something.
This is another example of how it seems SAP has fallen behind in their UI and search capabilities; and they need to catch-up. For those of us that have used SAP for many years, F4 seems straight forward and we sometimes don't understand why so many users don't also find it simple. The answer is, other vendors have made it more simple and with the consumerization of apps, SAP needs to get there.

Itunes 10.6.1.7 problem: when I change the file "media type" from 'Music' to 'Podcast' the file disapears from ITUNES. I do this via (1) right click, (2) select 'Get Info', (3) select 'options' tab, and (4) change media type. What is the problem?

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.
