Bug Copying a DB

I have views which depend on functions. When selecting the copy function in SQL developer I get errors and an incomplete copy because the Views error when copied because they are migrated over before the views.

hi edward--
the issue you described where the column defaults weren't being copied over has been fixed in the next release of htmldb. i wasn't able to reproduce your other issues, though. for branches, you simply specify the new branch target as you step through the Copy Page wizard. both sort images and "no data found" messages copied over without issues in my test cases. please let me know if there's more to reproducing your issue than just copying a tabular form page with the specific attributes set.
thanks,
raj

    While there isn't a unique number displayed with each pasted item in the Assets panel, Muse does append a number to the image file name on export to maintain unique names on the exported site.

  • Bug: Copying and pasting a htmlText ignores embed font???

    - Adobe Flash Pro CS4
    - Reproducible in Flash player 9 and 10
    There seems to be a bug when copying a string value from a "htmlText" textfield and then pasting it in a standard "text" textField, and then adding that text back into the htmlText textField, which in turn no longer displays any new text.
    For example:
    1. Type "hello" in input textField, and press [Send] button
    2. "hello" appears in the display textField (as htmlText)
    3. From the display textField, copy the word "hello" and paste it into the input textField.
    4. Press [Send]
    5. Now, if embedFont was enabled and assuming that there is a ArialReg font class defined via library, the display textField does not show the 2nd "hello" message, and it no longer display anything new. This is because it was not able to show the text that was embedded as another font. You can tell this by turning off embedFont. Repeat steps 1-4, note that the 2nd "hello" font differs to the 1st "hello" font - which caused the bug as per above.
    Source code (requires ArialReg and fl.controls.Button defined via Library):
    //Copy and paste into your main timeline.
    import flash.events.Event;
    import fl.controls.Button;
    var enableEmbed:Boolean = false;
    var format:TextFormat = new TextFormat();

    this.addChild(_chatBox);
    this.addChild(_chatInput);

        if (_chatInput.text != "")
            _chatBox.htmlText += _chatInput.text;
            _chatInput.text = "";

    Note:
    _chatBox.htmlText += _chatInput.text;
    _chatBox.setTextFormat(format);
    will resolve the problem, but it introduces another bug - Using setTextFormat does not allow bold and regular font for embedFonts for htmlText, however defaultTextFormat does. As I need both bold and regular font for the textField, I can't use that workflow.

  • Possible Bug: Copying Frames sometimes mixes up artwork

    I'm sure Adobe is sick of hearing about bugs, but.... one issue that I've noticed with Flash CS4 that was never an issue in CS3 is that when selecting the frames of a complex animation, copying them, and pasting them into another Flash file, often results in some of the artwork getting mixed up.  I can't paste screenshots or example FLA's due to legal issues, but I figured that I'd make a note of the issue.
    Regards,
    Tim

    My apologies for not getting back sooner.
    My client won't allow me to attach any work I've created here, but I've received permission to send screenshots of the library.  I've attached JPEG images to help illustrate what is happening.
    The actual bug is new to Flash.  Flash CS3 never had issues with this.
    Basically I place all assets in a folder called assets.  (except for those that are on the stage at any given time).  Those assets may have other assets buried in subfolders and sub-subfolders.  Aside from the assets folder, these assets and subfolders are created automatically by Flash when importing Illustrator artwork.
    However, when copying frames over, it doesn't maintain the subfolder hierarchy and assets that happen to have the same name begin to replace each other.
    My workaround involves selecting the assets in the library that I need.  Hitting ctrl-c.  And then going to the destination FLA and pasting them into the library.  Then I select the frames I need to copy and paste them into the destination fla file.
    Oddly enough. when copying the library over, I have no problem with maintaining the folder hierarchy.  It's just when copying frames of animation, that I have issues with this bug.

  • Finder bug: copying locked and not-locked items

    At least, I think it's a bug:
    * Make two files. Lock one, leave the other unlocked.
    * Select both.
    * Drag both into a folder. The plus-sign-in-a-circle mouse cursor appears.
    * Drop them. The locked file is copied to the new folder, as I guess it should be. However -- the bug -- the unlocked file is also copied, not moved. I would think that only the locked file should be copied to the new location.
    Not a big deal, although I suppose it would be a bigger deal if I were moving around a bunch of 10 GB files and forgot that one of them was locked.
    Maybe somebody with an active Radar account for the Finder could file this? I think it's real...

  • BUG - Copy HTML region with items

    When you copy a html region - there is the option to copy buttons and items.
    If you specify Yes on items, and specify the same page number, you will receive validation error "You may only copy items to a different page". However, change it to No, and the items are still copied. In fact, the items are always copied whether you check yes or no to copy items. This is the case whether you are copying to the same page or not.
    I don't have a problem with having the ability to copy items in the same page, in fact i'd prefer that. But currently, there is no option not to copy them.
    OK.. Test Cases:
    To different page:
    Copy items - No; Copy Buttons - Yes = everything is copied
    Copy items - Yes; Copy Buttons - No = items only are copied (expected)
    To same page:
    Copy items - No; Copy buttons - Yes - everything is copied
    Copy items - No; Copy buttons - No - nothing is copied (expected)
    I have verified this bug on apex.oracle.com
    Edit: I have not tested with other region types - only HTML

    Hi Trent,
    Thank you for reporting this issue and providing the test cases. I have filed bug #13607613 for this issue.

  • BUG: Copy / Paste settings

    This bug has been reported in various forms.  But I'd like to chime in.
    I'm finding that the set of develop settings I copy are not pasting correctly onto other images.  Sometimes settings I have NOT checked are pasted; other times settings I HAVE checked are being pasted.  The bug does not seem to be related to the specific combination of settings checked and unchecked.   Particularly I've found that copy/pasting UNCHECKED white point settings will not paste.  UNCHECKED crop will paste.  It's quite frustrating.  I have not found a work around.
    I am using LR 3.2 RC.

    Mark, you can report this here. This would be most helpful. This forum is now mostly for user help rather than technical issues.

  • Is this a known bug (copying text freezes up APE)?

    I have had this happen to me several times now, and am now pretty sure what causes it:
    APE freezes up, becoming totally unresponsive. I can't even shut it down (both Organizer and Editor) via Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete).
    What gets me to this juncture? When I try to rename an image, and have a series with the same base name (such as GoingOverNiagaraFallsInaBarrelOfMonkeys, as in:
    GoingOverNiagaraFallsInaBarrelOfMonkeys1
    GoingOverNiagaraFallsInaBarrelOfMonkeys2
    etc.
    ...and I copy the "base" portion via Ctrl+C -- voila! Everything stops dead in its tracks as if a 900-lb. Grizzly Bear in a bad humor swatted my CPU.
    Is this a known bug?

    when I select all the text in a description (FIle | Info, Description text box on first tab) and copy it, it freezes up (eventually it recovers, though).
    I can't reproduce that with my PSE 8.  Perhaps there's something specific about one or more of your photos that's triggering the problem -- attach one of the problem photos to your reply (use the Web form, not email), and I'll see if happens with my PSE 8.

  • Warning - gradient fill bug found

    I have reported this bug to Adobe. Watch out so it won't bite you.
    Short version: gradients can disappear completely when exporting to pdf
    Long version:
    A. Gradient fill with default settings. First color starts at 0% and second color ends at 100%.
    Copy an object with this color to Illustrator or export it as a pdf file. This works fine.
    B. Change the start color to 5% and the end color to 90% (anything other than 0/100 will trigger the bug)
    Copy and paste an object with this gradient fill to Illustrator. Result: no fill color
    Export object to PDF. Result: no fill color
    C. Default gradient fill (0% to 100%) + add a third color = works fine
    D. Same as C. but change the start and end colors as in B. Triggers the bug again
    Bug verified in InDesign CS6 and CC on OS X 10.8.4
    Bug verified by Adobe Support.

    Hi everyone. I work for a large format printing company. We receive thousands of files every year from many different designers. We started to notice that gradients would drop out of some PDFs when opening them in Illustrator but they would preview fine when opened in Acrobat. I searched high and low for an explanation for this glitch. The only response I received is "Stop opening exported PDFs in Illustrator." This is an unsatisfactory answer for someone that needs to preflight directly in the Illustrator program. I've done a ton of research and have been racking my brain for the last 2 years and have finally found sufficient workarounds for this issue. The downfall with these workarounds: all spot colors located in the gradients will convert to CMYK mixes. I'm still researching to see if there is a way to keep spot colors intact in these areas.
    A little back story: InDesign is converting the gradients into something called NChannel. It enables more accurate handling of color blending by including additional dot gain and color mixing info. Both InDesign and Acrobat have the ability to display these elements whereas Illustrator, from what I’m finding, does not. Which is why we’re seeing gradient elements drop out when opened in Illustrator.
    Workaround for CMYK Gradients
    Open PDF exported from INDD in Acrobat
    Go to Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors
    Object Type: Smooth Shade (this tells Acrobat to hone in on Gradients only)
    Color Type: DeviceCMYK
    Check Embed next to Conversion Profile (should be SWOP)
    Expand Document Colors on the right and Select DeviceCMYK in Color Spaces then click ok
    Save the PDF
    Workaround for 1 Spot Color in Gradients (Converts Spot Color located in Gradient to CMYK – all other Spots stay intact)
    Open PDF exported from INDD in Acrobat
    Go to Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors
    Object Type: Smooth Shade (this tells Acrobat to hone in on Gradients only)
    Color Type: Spot Color
    Check Embed next to Conversion Profile (should be SWOP)
    Expand Document Colors on the right and Select the Spot that is located in the Gradient in Color Spaces then click ok
    Save the PDF
    Workaround for 2 Spot Colors in Gradients (Converts Spot Colors located in Gradient toCMYK – all other Spots stay intact)
    Expand Document Colors on the right and Select the DeviceN spot color that is located in the Gradient in Color Spaces then click ok
    Save the PDF
    Please test it and let me know if you run into any issues with these workarounds.  I'm always looking for new problems to solve!

  • Cannot Duplicate a CD

    Hi Folks,
    I'm trying to duplicate a (audio) CD using the Disk Utility. I put the source CD into the optical drive and followed these instructions:
    1. Insert the CD or DVD disc in your computer's optical drive and select it in the list of disks and volumes.
    (OK. So good so far. Btw, I chose the entire disk - not just the disk session, although I tried both eventually)
    2. Choose File > New > "Disk Image from (name of disc)."
    Here's my problem, right there. The "Disk Image from (name of disc)." option is grayed out, thus I cannot choose it. Where's the problem??
    And for what it's worth, I tried it with different source CDs.
    Thanks for listening. I hope someone can help.

    Your problems are not due to Disk Utility bugs, copy protection, or industry plots to stop Apple from making this easy.
    All the disk utility programs such as dd and Disk Utility are designed for data disks. Data CDs are recorded with 2048 bytes of data (plus some error detecting and recovery bits) per sector and have a directory (e.g. HFS, ISO, FAT) showing file names and what sectors contain the files' data. The Finder can read the CD's directory and access the files from the CD. When files from a data CD are copied to a hard drive, each 2048 byte sector is copied to four 512 byte sectors on the hard drive. If it is copied via the Finder, the file names are put in the hard drive directory, and the files are accessed like any other files on the hard drive. When Disk Utility is used to make a disk image from a data CD, the entire CD (directory, files, and unused sectors) is copied to one file on the hard drive. When this file is mounted (by double-clicking, or via Disk Utility) the computer treats it as a disk drive with its own directory.
    Audio CDs are different. Each sector contains 2352 bytes of data plus error detecting and recovery bits. There are fewer error correcting bits, to make up for the extra data, so the total sector size is the same as a data CD's. (Fewer error recovery bits mean more uncorrectable errors from a bad disk, but for audio, the player can blank out, or fill in for bad spots, so it won't sound too bad.) There are no file names or directories on an audio CD. There is an index that contains the starting end ending times for each track, and some other recording information. The rest of the disk is just one long series of sectors containing the audio data(and maybe CD-Text or sub-code data). Disk utilities cannot handle an audio CD. The sectors can not be divided into 512 byte pieces, there is no directory, and there are no file names.
    iTunes can handle audio CDs. It looks in a data base on the internet to try and find file names for the tracks, it can do extra error correcting, and converts the audio to standard disk file formats. The finder will show .aiff files that correspond to the tracks on an audio CD, but this information is made up by the Finder, it is not on the CD. Because the audio CD format is so different from a data disk, Finder and Disk Utility cannot copy these CDs. iTunes, with the error correction enabled, and a lossless (AIFF, WAV, Apple lossless) importing format selected, does a good job of copying CDs, but the copies will not be identical because iTunes does not save the gap lengths, or recording information from the original CD. The actual audio will be identical. To get a better copy you need special software. I think Toast from:
    <http://www.roxio.com/en/products/toast/index.jhtml> can do it.
