Bug report: double clicking a DataAction
following the information in the bug, here is what I copied:
Message
BME-99009: An error has occured in the Java VM.
Cause
An operation has failed because an error has occurred in the Java VM. The current activity may fail and the system may have been left in an unstable state. The following is a stack trace.
java.lang.StackOverflowError
Action
If further errors occur, you should restart the application.
If the error was an OutOfMemoryError, try closing some components, such as some diagrams, or increase the Java heap size.
Also, report the problem on the JDeveloper forum on otn.oracle.com, or contact Oracle support, giving the information in this message.
I was trying to double click and create the "action class" on a data action.
It appears that this bug is caused when a "DataAction" class is not assigned to the struts action. I created the class, inherited oracle's DataAction class, and then pointed the struts config to the right file. Now, double clicking on the dataAction gets the correct .java file to pop up.

JDeveloper IDE Crashing using double click on DataAction in struts-diagram.
Hello,
Has anyone had this problem with Jdeveloper10g?
We have a workspace for an application that has grown fairly large. The
problem happens when we try to drag a DataAction from the Component Palette
onto the struts-diagram when in the the JDeveloper10g IDE and then
double click the icon to create a data action. We get this message:
An Error has occurred in the Java VM

activity may fail and the system may have been left in an unstable state. The following
is a stack trace.
java.lang.StackOverflowError

Also, report the problem on the JDeveloper forum on otn.oracle.com, or contact Oracle
support, giving the information in this message.
The Version of JDeveloper we are using is: 10.1.2.1.0 Build 1913 but we also had the
same problem using this same workspace in Build 1811. If we try a different workspace
there is no problem and we don't see the issue. Neither do we see the problem if we drag
either a DataPage or a plain Action from the Component Palette and the double click
either of those to create a Jsp page or an action.
We have spent hours using diffing software recursively on the workspace directories trying
to determine what may have gone wrong. We have eliminated a great deal from the problem
workspace including deleting everything from the struts-diagram (In a copy of the ws of course).
We really can't afford to rebuild the workspace from scratch and this problem causes us a
significant headache. It seems like a serious bug in JDeveloper itself.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,Problem Solved! This condition is caused by a circular dependency set up when the view was checked as a depndency for the model. We had a small class in the view that was being used in the model so the model was made dependant on the view and this causes an infinite loop condition of some sort when double clicking on a newly dropped in DataAction as described below.

Here is how my print settings looked when clicking on "print settings" in the Adobe print dialogue box:
I had opened this up and clicked "save", which did not fix the problem.
Then, this is how the Color Management settings looked:
Changing the Color Handling from "Printer Manages Colors" to "PhotoShop Manages Colors" removes the 2nd print dialogue BUT:
It is not maintained unless you save the document you are working on
It is unique to each document and each new document defaults to "Printer Manages Colors"
I do not see a way to globally change this default
Thanks. -
Bug report: double-tapping keyboard does not always bring up cursor movement.
For instance, in:
The text entry bar for maps
The subject line of added meetings
The text entry widget of the Slack Android app
I'd love this to work consistently.oh I get what you're saying now.
unfortunately, you're not missing anything. that is how they have it set up in 3.0
if you're unhappy with this design, give Apple feedback at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html -

30EA1 /2.*: Double-clicking objects in the navigator tree
Hi,
There is an inconsistency in double-clicking objects in the navigator tree:
When Preferences - Database - ObjectViewer - Open Objects on Single Click is checked, double-clicking e.g. a table in the navigator will still open it the same way as single-clicking it.
However, when Preferences - Database - ObjectViewer - Open Objects on Single Click is not checked, double-clicking the table in the navigator will open it, and expand the columns. The latter is quite irritating, especially on large tables.
Can this be bugged, so double-clicking the table in the navigator will just open it?
Thanks,
K.The node is expanded on double click irrespective of what the preferenceIs this a typo or does it really expand always for you? For me it only expands with "single click objects" disabled.
windows explorer also does the sameYes, and I'd even say that's the desired behaviour, especially since it's the only action taken.
Common sense and standards are against taking 2 different actions at the same time. One should override the other.
Ideally, double click with "single click objects" disabled would just open the object, and double click with "single click objects" enabled could expand the node as in the Windows Explorer (but doesn't have to).
So that's almost completely the other way around as we get it now.
Thanks,
K. -
3.1.2 double clicking home button when music is not playing
Is the bug that double clicking home button while music is not playing didn't bring up the iPod control fixed? I don't know it's a design change or a bug, but for me it seems definitely a bug since it doesn't give anything good. Clicking home button once already terminates the application, why would anyone use double clicking to exit the application too?
This is why I'm still using 3.0. Is this fixed in 3.1.2?It's a design change, not a bug. Although I do have to agree with you on that I preferred what double-clicking the home button originally did. There is even settings (in general settings if I can remember right) on what double-clicking the home button performs, but that isn't even an option on it.
And nope this is not fixed or redesigned in 3.1.2.
Hope that answers your question,
Enjoy! -
Bug report: entering serial number does not work with azerty keyboard
I did not find a place to submit bug reports, so I'm posting here.
During the instalation of Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac, I was not able to enter any numbers in the serial number fields. Some other keys did work (like &é$...). My keyboard is an azerty (Belgium). Notice the numbers on an azerty keyboard have to be entered while holding the shift key. I tried switching the keyboard to "French - Numerical" (wich enables numbers to be entered with shift lock on), and then some number keys worked, and others didn't.
I solved this with a workaround, by temporary switching my keyboard to U.S. English. You can submit a bug report by clicking "Feature Request/Bug Report" in the upper-right corner:
http://www.adobe.com/support/photoshopelements/
Despite what it says, I've seen no hard evidence that Adobe ever pays attention to PSE bug reports. -
3.1.3 double clicking home button when music is not playing
Is the bug that double clicking home button while music is not playing didn't bring up the iPod control fixed? For me, it seems definitely a bug since it doesn't give anything good. Clicking home button once already terminates the application, why would anyone use double clicking to exit the application too?
This is why I'm still using 3.0. Is this fixed in 3.1.3?Jeong-hun Sin, 3.1.3 has the same issue, and I do not think Apple is ever going to fix this issue. They still haven't even fixed the live updating playlist sort order issue...
roaminggnome he's referring to a pop-up controls issue that has been talked about on this forum ever since the release of the 3.1 firmware.
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2151438
In 3.0 and older versions, if you're in an app/game you can double-click the home-button to access the iPod pop-up controls to resume the playback of a song/podcast that had been previously paused/stopped.
In 3.1, if a song had been previously paused you cannot launch the pop-up conrols to resume the playback of the song. You're forced to exit the app that you might be in (lets say safari, or a game), and then resume playback using the music app.
Jeong-hun Sin, I upgraded to 3.1.3 a few days ago, and have found a few improvements:
- Many 3D games are MUCH smoother/faster under 3.1.3, than 3.0. I downgraded back to 3.0 just to see if I was just imagining things, but games like Coconut-racer, and Asphalt 5 were not as smooth as they were under 3.1.3.
- If you happen run apps that have live video streaming where the video playback controls do not appear (e.g the BBC world, Al Jazeera news, sure there's more), the iPod Touch no longer randomly reboots when using those apps. -

Get value of field object when I double click on any column of report
Hi,
We are converting our projects from .NET 2003 to .Net 2008 and upgrading reports10 to crystal reports 2008 and changing our Active x report viewer control to crystal report viewer.
We donu2019t use reports just to see and print the data. Our use is a bit more.
As we were using Active X Control (CRAXDDRT) to perform different operations
Following are some functions which are included in our requirements:
1- We need the columns width to be flexible which we can changed in the code dynamically according to the users wish
2- Setting text of some fields dynamically from .Net code
3- Hide and show the columns dynamically from .Net code
Upto here we are done using crystal report 2008 and .net 2008
Now we are stuck with problem
4- When we double click on fieldobject at runtime we are able to fetch the value of field object by using e.objectinfo.text.tostring, so far it is perfect
But we have different situation here and need a solution for this
I have two fields like Account ID and Account Description
I need the solution so that when user clicks either on Account ID or Account Description I should be able to fetch the Field object value of Account ID Column only so that i will be able to open different forms and reports based on that ID
As we were doing it before using Active X Control the code snippet is giving below
case "Field: Account. AccountID ", "Field: Account.Description"
GlobalCode = GiveCode(mYFields.Item(1).value) '------ Where 1 refer to Account ID, so in both cases either we click Account ID or Description Field at run time we are able to return the account ID field value.
so we need solution some thing like that please do let us know how we can do that
For Your reference we were using CrystalActivexReportViewerLib10.CRVFields obejct to fectch the report values
Thanx in Advance
Regards,
Arshad Hussain BhattHello,
I am getting value of that cell where I am clicking. But I need the value of other columns also in that particular row where I double clicked. For this I gave one example also that suppose I have a report where there are two columns. One is AccountID and other is AccountDescription. Now if I click on Account ID I get the value of AccountID and when I click on AccountDescription I get the value of AccountDescripiton This is oK n good but I want that If i double click on AccountDescription I should be able to get the value of AccountID also. Please tell me is there anyway to do so?
We did so when we were using CRAXDRT.Report Bellow is the code snippet for how I did it in that.
Dim MyField As CrystalActiveXReportViewerLIb10.CRVFields
Private Function GiveFieldIndex(ByVal As CrystalActiveXReportViewerLib10.CRVFields, ByVal FldName As String) As Integer
For i as integer = 1 To FldArry.Count
If FldArry.Item(i).name = FldName Then
GiveFieldIndex = i
End If
End Function
Private Sub CRViewer1_DoubleClick(ByVal eventSender As System.Object, ByVal eventArgs As AxCrystalActiveXReportViewerLib10._ICRViewerEvents_DblClickedEvent) Handles CRViewer1.DblClicked
If MyField.Name = "Field: AdoJV.AccountID" Or MyField.Name = "Field: AdoJV.AccountDesc" Then
/Following line will give us AccountID in anycase either we click on AccountID or Account Desc or even you can add more column by adding Or Operator. We need something like this in Crystal Report 2008/
Dim GlobeAddEditCode as String = myFields.Item(GiveFieldIndex(myFields, "Field: AdoJV.AccountID")).Value
End If
End Sub

Double-click in standard report
Hi,
I'm creating a standard report (not an ALV, just write's...) and I need to control events when I double-click on certain caracters on the screen. How can I do that?
Thanks
Carleshi,
while genarating secondary list based on uer actions( double click), we provide the logic for genarating list unsder <b>AT LINE-SELECTION</b> event.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
<statements>.
When the user triggers the function code PICK, AT LINE-SELECTION is always triggered if the cursor is positioned on a list line. The function code PICK is, by default, always linked with function key F2 and hence with the mouse double-click.
<b>Example for AT LINE-SELECTION.</b>
REPORT demo_list_at_line_selection.
START-OF-SELECTION.
WRITE 'Basic List'.
AT LINE-SELECTION.
WRITE: 'Secondary List by Line-Selection',
/ 'SY-UCOMM =', sy-ucomm.
When you run the program, the basic list appears with the standard list status. The detail list shows that SY-UCOMM has the value PICK.
To pass individual output fields or additional information from a user selected line to the corresponding processing block during an interactive event, use these statements:
<b>HIDE</b>
The HIDE statement is one of the fundamental statements for interactive reporting. You use the HIDE technique when creating a basic list. It defines the information that can be passed to subsequent detail lists.
<b>READ LINE</b>
Use the statements READ LINE and READ CURRENT LINE to read data from the lines of existing list levels. These statements are closely connected to the HIDE technique.
<b>GET CURSOR</b>
Use the statements GET CURSOR FIELD and GET CURSOR LINE to pass the output field or output line on which the cursor was positioned during the interactive event to the ABAP program.
<b>DESCRIBE LIST</b>
The DESCRIBE LIST statement allows you to read certain list attributes, such as the number of lines or pages, into program variables.

How to get the alv grid report in another screen when double click on basic
Hi.
I have created an alv report using class cl_gui_alv_grid.I got another report in the same screen, when double clicked on basic list(using double_click event).I want to get this report in another screen. What i have to do?(In classical reports i worked with sy-lsind = 1 ,but how to do here?)
How to set color to the selected rows in the alv grid report?I worked with change_data_from_inside method of cl_gui_alv_grid.But it didn't work out..
With Regards,
Ramana. On double click event . you will have to call another screen say 9000.
now within screen 900 PBO.. you will have to prepare the fieldcatalog/layout.. and the table to be displayed there.
in PAI of screen 9000, you can return to the original ALV.
method double_click.
call screen 9000.
endmethod.
" now in PBO create a module display_alv2
module display_alv2.
'prepare the fieldcat/layout info for new alv
'add the data to the new ALV table
'instantiate the grid call.. etc
'call the ALV
endmodule
"in PAI
module exit.
case sy-ucomm.
when 'ENT1'.
leave to screen 0.
endcase.
endmodule
while preparing the field catalog you can mention the EMPHASIZE field, whish will give color to tht column
E.g
*--Service Order
ls_fieldcat-tabname = 'IT_FINAL_VALID'.
ls_fieldcat-fieldname = 'AUFNR'.
ls_fieldcat-scrtext_m = 'Service Order'.
ls_fieldcat-ref_table = 'AUFK'.
ls_fieldcat-ref_field = 'AUFNR'.
ls_fieldcat-col_pos = 1.
ls_fieldcat-outputlen = 12.
ls_fieldcat-emphasize = 'C400'. "This will add color to the cell
APPEND ls_fieldcat TO fcat_valid.
Hope this helps. -
About double click event in ALV report
Hi all,
I want to program a double-click event in ALV reprot.
I am not suppose to use module pool approach for the same.
If a user double clicks on the any of the row of ALV report, the transaction should get called.
Again, I am using function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' for displaying ALV.
Can you please help me to solve this?
Thanks,
-SiddhiHi Sidhi,
You can do it easily by using Reuse_ALV_GRID_DISPALY.
The User Command subroutine which you pass to this function module in that you can check which field is selected and what is the value of that and also you can get the table index.
I am giving you a code example where interactivity of ALV report is done .
