Build error importing MyFaces 1.0.7

Hi,
I'm trying to use the MyFaces components in SJSC, but when I import myfaces-components.jar into JSCS I get the following build-error:
compile-beaninfo:
Compiling 35 source files to C:\Documents and Settings\Iwan\.Creator\1_0\components\jars\beaninfo-classes

BUILD FAILED (total time: 50 seconds)I have no clue as to what is going on, and since there seem to be no official announcement of SUN to add more sophisticated components to Creator, I guess we're stuck with the ones we get.
Iwan

I found a way to import that library so you can use the MyFaces components by dragging and dropping. It is a little bit of a hack, but it works.
Steps to add library:
1. You need to try to import the component jar first. This importing will create the .Creator\1_0\components\jars directory in the user home (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\.Creator\1_0\components\jars).
2. Download and install WildEdit.
3. Run WildEdit and point it at .Creator\1_0\components\jars\beaninfo-src directory. (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\.Creator\1_0\components\jars\beaninfo-src)
4. In the replace textbox of WildEdit type "IntrospectionException " (no quotes but 1 space at the end or could do a regular expression with whitespace at the end)
5. In the Replace With textbox of WildEdit type "Exception " (no quotes but 1 space at the end).
6. In Files matching, type *.java.
7. In Character Encoding, UTF-8.
8. Check Search Subfolders.
9. Try importing the jar again.
10. During import run the Replace All utility of WildEdit against the directory continuously (i.e. click the green arrow a bunch of times) until you see repeatedly in the Log tab at bottom of WildEdit:
Number of files searched: 35
Number of files modified: 0
Total changes made: 0
These steps added the components in my Creator application, but only the components seem to have been added. The validators will have to be added by hand, but that is not too hard via the page source.

Marc

  • Build Error while trying to import a dc from the track.

    Hi All,
I  imported a Java perspective Dc from a track to local developement,
When i tried to build locally developed dc, but i was getting a build error as
    "error reading C:\Documents and Settings
.dtc\0\DCs\dc_ext_lib\_comp\gen\default\public\Excel_API\lib\java\Jexcel-install.jar; error in opening zip file"
There was a error in opening the JExcel file.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
I think the jar file(Jexcel-install.jar) is zipped.Unzip the zar file from the folder......lib/java.
Or else remove the jar file and import the application into NWDS,then add the jar externally from the NWDS.
Make sure that the dc does not have any files.
Once you import the dc rightclick on the prj-.properties-.add the external  jar file or directly place the jar file in java folder.

One Component I am able synch and create project perfectly but when i try to do the second one, i am getting Generation BUILD Error...
    Help me in this regard..

    Hi,
As per your error, I think you have already created a project with name NewParProject. Give a different name and then check.
Also check if your par file is  not corrupt. Download it again and follow below steps in NWDS :
Go to File>Import > Select par file >
    >Browse and select the par file>
    >Give a project name i.e. ParProjectTest  > Finish.
    This should work.

  • Build Errors for Imported WLI 10.3.0 projects

I've upgraded WLI 10.3.0 to WLI 10.3.1 using the upgrade installer on my Windows machine. I then created a new domain using the current WL Server 10.3.0 and WLI 10.3.1. I then imported Oracle's Tutorial Worklist application projects into a new workspace. This WLI application was originally developed with WLI 10.3.0 and was builiding/working correctly in the old WLS 10.3.0/WLI 10.3.0 environment. I get the following build errors now:
    - The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for java.io.Serializable. Fix the build path then try building this project          Loan_Web
    - The project was not built since its build path is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for java.lang.Object. Fix the build path then try building this project          LoanUtil
    - The type java.io.Serializable cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files     Loan_Web/src/process     MyControl.java     line 1
    - CHKJ3010W: Welcome Files cannot begin or end with a /.     Loan_Web/WebContent/WEB-INF     web.xml     org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.webapplication.internal.impl.WelcomeFileImpl@5b5bec (welcomeFile: /user.portal)
The source files don't even appear under the projects in the workspace now. How can I fix this? Shouldn't importing the WLI 10.3.0 application into WLI 10.3.1 be transparent?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Does you check for the build path for this issue.
Might this would be the problem with default JRE internal.
Please check build java path and correct the JRE subsystem it will solve your issue.

    Kal.

  • Lot of build errors in project created for debug CRM 5.0

    Hi SDN!
I want to setup java debugging for CRM 5.0 modified application. According to note 1154496 I created project "crm_b2b".
    I took file src.zip from
server\usr\sap\<system name>\<instance>\j2ee\cluster\<server number>\apps\sap.com\crmb2b at first try and from
server\usr\sap\<system name>\<instance>\j2ee\cluster\<server number>\apps\sap.com\crmcrb2b at second try. After import NWDS performed building for my project and shows lot of build errors (more than 12 thousands for 1-st try and near 2 thousands for 2-nd try). I reduced some of error by adding jar files from crm war file to build path. But I don't know how to resolve errors like "The method hasPermissions(Permission[]) in the type UserBase is not applicable for the arguments(EserviceHierarchyPermission[])" (error in com.sap.eservice.common.user.permission.CommonPermission.java, line 186). Also some of errors concerned with requierd libraries in build path.
    My NWDS is 7.0.14

    Hi!
    Here are my doings:
    1) set breakpoint in standart code
    2) run my debug configuartion
    3) run CRM 5.0
    4) NWDS stopped execution on breakpoint
    5) I right-click on variable, choose "Watch"
    6) NWDS shows me "error during evaluation" in "Expression" tab for selected variable
I'm confusing since it was possible to use "Watch" for variables in CRM 4.0.
Yes, you right, I can view all variabe values on "Variables" tab. I wanted to use "Expression" tab because it's more comfortable for me but it seems that I can use only "Variables" tab.
So, thanks for help! My question is answered, but if you can give me more information about subject, you're welcome.

    Satya,
We have developed a custom Web Dynpro DC, to which the public part, default of com.sap.security.api.sda under SAP-JEE_1 is added as a Used DC.
All the Used DCs under this DC are SAP standard DCs, and none of them have any build errors associated with them.
The issue is only with Web Dynpro DC. Kindly help.

  • Don't understand what this means I/O Error: import file

I'm building a website in dreamweaver cs5 with a XML doctype. When I tried to validate my css I got an error code I don't understand. This is the error: I/O Error: import file:/Volumes/Macintosh%20HD/Users/schweideltyson/Desktop/CS%2080_final%20project/gallery .html: Operation not permitted. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is that I imported some text for my index page from another website.

  • Viewer Builder error: 'Signing Failed'

What does the View Builder Error 'Signing Failed' mean when I download my developer or distribution apps from Viewer Builder? The dev IPA and dist ZIP files appear to download correctly despite the message, so what is it trying to tell me?
    Ali

Righty, I turn to page 15 of the 'Adobe Publishing Process for iPad Viewer Apps' PDF as provided by my Adobe reseller. All the screenshots are blurred but no matter, I can probably muddle through.
The chapter is headed 'Setting up Apple Push Notification Service (Optional)'. At the end of the introductory text is a paragraph reading: 'Important: If you have already created an App ID and certificates, you can configure your App ID to enable push notifications. You don't need to create new development and distribution certificates. However, you do need to create new mobileprovision files.'
Fine, that's clear. My app exists already: I'm just planning to build an updated version, so naturally I have an App ID. The paragraph has told me that I don't need to create certificates, but I do need new mobileprovision files.
The first section after this is headed 'Creating a push notification certificate'. OK, I shall ignore this section because, as explained above, I apparently don't need to create any certificates.
The next section after this is headed: 'Creating a .p12 APN certificate'. Again, my understanding is that I don't need to create any certificates, so I shall ignore this section too.
Oh... I've already reached the end of the chapter on 'Setting up Apple Push Notification Service (Optional)' and I haven't done anything. How do I create the special mobileprovision files that I'm supposed to need for APN?
Well, this seems odd, so I flip back to page 6 and the beginning of the chapter headed 'Creating Certificates', seeking clarification. In the introductory text is a paragraph that reads: "If you want to enable the Apple push notification service (APN), create a separate certificate that you can upload to the Adobe fulfillment server. See the section on setting up push notifications for details.'
So this chapter is telling me that I need to create a new certificate for APN, but no mention of mobileprovision files, yet at the same time tells me to read a chapter that tells me that I don't need to create new certificates for APN and I do need new mobileprovision files.
I'm afraid I can't make any sense of this, and neither can anyone I send these instructions to. Luckily for us, APN isn't particularly significant for a twice-yearly magazine. But it would be nice to get a handle on it in case we launch a weekly.

This is a known bug with the "Options" dialogue in Oracle Policy Modeling v10.2.0. You can work around it by changing the currently visible options to "Enviroment"/"General" before choosing "OK".

  • Error importing CD (required folder cannot be found)

iTunes 10.6, running on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.6.8
    Hi all,
A bit of backstory. Been using iTunes to manage my music collection for over 8 years. At one point, I moved my music off of a primary disk to an external disk, although perhaps oddly set up, in that the 'iTunes Music Library.xml' file was still local (under ~User/Music), and just the music files were external (under /Volumes/Media/Music).  When the iTunes Media directory structure upgrade happened, the only way I could access my music was to put a soft link from the Music folder to my external drive.
For awhile now, I've been in a state where for the most part, I can listen to all of my music, but when I try to import a CD, I get the 'required folder cannot be found' error.
Help!  Do I have to rebuild my file somehow?  Edit the xml file directly?
    Thanks so much.
I'm happy to provide more information, such as the xml file, directory listings, etc..  I'm just not sure what's helpful.

I have the same problem.  I recently moved my music from a Vista PC to a new Laptop with an external CD drive. It will copy one song from the CD and it will show in the Music file and then I get the message ' Error importing a CD - Folder not found'.  I must unplug the CD drive and plug it back in.  I have seen no fix for this problem.

  • Report Generation Toolkit and Office 10 - build errors

Using LabView 2011 and Report Generation Toolkit 2011.
After installing Office 10, I would get build error for Excel-Print.Vi and Excel-SetCell.vi and build is then aborted.
    2011/vi.lib/addons/_office/_excelsub.llb/Excel-Print.vi.
Says it is unable to save a vi without a block diagram.
Uninstalled Office 10 and reinstalled Office 2003 and build went thru just fine.
I can program using Excel 2003 and the compiled executable will work on another computer with Excel 2011 but once I install Office 10 on my LabVIEW computer I cannot build.
Can't believe I could be the only one to experience this. Any workarounds?

  • Build error: an input parameter is invalid

I am looking for help with a build error. I am getting the following error message when I try to build a project in 8.5.1:

Did you check to see if the KB Hunter posted resolves the issue?
If you're opening a project in a newer version of LabVIEW, then there's a chance the mass compile tool might work. It will open and save all of the VIs within a specified folder. The tool is fairly self-explanatory, and you can access it from within LabVIEW by going to "Tools --> Advanced --> Mass Compile..."
    Good luck!

  • Wp8 build error="The name 'InitializeComponent' does not exist in the current context" in app.xaml.cs."

I added a new xaml page to my project and copy and pasted some regular snippets to it that I've done before to many other pages.  After all the changes looked good to me, I did a rebuild and got this error in the app.xaml.cs which I hadn't changed.
I also get the same error in the new page I created.  It seems that the xaml design and code are not linked because there are other build errors in the new page's code file that reference other controls in it's design.  Those references also look
ok to me but they get the similar "The name '.....' does not exist." error.
