Building a custom loop - howto?

Hello all,
I tried my best to find a tutorial about this on the web, but didn't found one...
What I want to do is to build a JSF custom component that renders its child-elements for n times. A small snippet to clarify this:
<mycuic:coolLoop beanToEvaluate="#{evalBean}">
<h:outputText value="foo bar"/>
</mycuic:coolLoop>
How many times "foo bar" should be rendered depends on the "evalBean" (I have to read out one of its properties and than do some more arithmetic - no "standard" Component can help me with this).
So how to start? I know that in "UIComponentBase" there is a method "getChildren()", which should give me the "outputText"-Component in form of a "UIComponent" with the example above, shouldn't it?
What now? Call "encodeBegin(FacesContext facescontext)" for n times? I think this will not do the job done for me...
Thanks a lot in advance for any hint, howto or tutorial!
Best regards
Stephan

  • I want to build a custom flash player for my desktop

    I want to build a custom flash player for my desktop, using C# and Visual Studio 2008. Where do I start? I just want a real simple one to play swf files. Play, stop, loop, full screen, normal size. I'll start there. Where do I go? I've searched the web for an answer, and found several example projects that don't compile, or are incomplete. It's very frustrating. This shouldn't be that difficult.

    I think you started the right way - looking for example programs.
    If they won't compile, then they probably contain errors.  Fix the errors until they compile.  Then develop your own extensions.
    This is one way of developing applications, the other way is starting from scratch.

    No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device. That's not supported by Apple.

  • Logic Pro X 2013 delete custom loops

    How do I delete custom loops from both my library and the UI?

    Apple loops are stored in these locations...
    YourHD/Library/Audio
    YourHD/Users/'you'/Library/Audio
    YourHD/Library/Application Support/Logic
    YourHD/Library/Application Support/Garageband
    if you cannot find one of your own...
    Use Find Any File (FAF) to locate it...

  • Can't find my custom loop, can't Save as archive, but the song plays?

    Hey guys. In October I made my first "real" attempt at a song in GarageBand. I recorded the bass and guitar with my Digitech GNX3000. I made my drum loops from scratch with my mouse. I just chose the kit and clicked the little squares on the grid for timing. I named them all AlanCustomX (where X described it).
    I just got a MacBook and I'm moving all of my data from this old G4 tower. I copied over my song and the drum loops didn't work. That's okay, I figured it was in the Apple Library somewhere. I started up GarageBand and hit play on the G4 and my drum pattern was working, but the library said nothing was found (I fiddled with Final Cut Express a few weeks ago and I guess Soundtrack screwed it up). I followed the steps found in this forum to get them working again.
    Throughout my search for the Apple loops in various Library folders, I never found my drum loops. There's a couple folders for User Loops but they're empty. That's weird, because when I play the song the drum loops are still in the song. After rebuilding the loop library, I still can't Save As and do an Archive ("to work on another Mac")!
    I looked "inside" the song's .band file and it's only got the .aif files from my guitar.
    Where does iTunes store custom loops? Why can't a archive-save my file?

    If they're part of the project, shouldn't they work
    if I copy the file to another computer
    Yes. And using the Archive feature should force any loops not within your project (Loops dropped in from the browser) to be copied and stored within it.
    Is there a way I can export my green loops to the
    GarageBand Library and therefore put them on the filesystem?
    The Archive is supposed to take care of this.
    The other, long, way around might be to add each of your edited loops to the Browser, find them on your hard drive, copy them to the other computer, and drop them into GB's Browser there. I'm not positive GB would find them when you opened your project there, but that's the only other course of action I can think of at the moment.
    Personally, I'd be trying to figure out why an Archived project wasn't working properly before anything else. That could be a sign of something bad and I'd want to find IT before it found me.

  • What is the best/most effective way to dynamically build a timed loop in LabView?

    I am relatively new to labview (not to code in general) and am looking for the "LabVIEW" way to dynamically build a timed loop. This is what I am trying to accomplish:
    I have several heaters controlled through labview using Labview's PID toolkit. This works great. I have no issues with DAQ in general. However, throughout an experiment, I want to change the set point of each heater. I could set this up fairly easily using either a timed loop or the wait vi if I knew exactly how many different set points there would be.
    If possible, I would like to be able to read in a config file that includes the different times and set points for all heaters and dynamically create a loop that can handle this. I have tried using the Elapsed Time vi with an array of time targets; however that didn't seem to work.
    Has anyone been able to do this? Does anyone know where I could learn about using LabView in this manner? All help is appreciated.

    Write a tab-separated spreadsheet file makes it easy to use the write/read from spreadsheet files. Assuming you have a 2D-array of your times and set points it's just a question of setting up a for-loop going through the array row-by-row and extract the elements (expanded index array) to set your points and wait time.

  • Building a custom worklist client in 11g R1 fails to authenticate [Solved]

    Release: 11gR1
    Hi,
    We're trying to build a custom worklist client using the APIs exposed by the workflow service described here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm#BHAHBHID
    I created an ADF/webcenter application.
    Created a page and added ADF security to the page which in turn authenticates via OID - this works.
    However when I try to use the workflow API to retrieve the workflow context I receive this exception:

    Hi Guys,
    Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, from your replies I gathered that I was barking up the wrong tree.
    I'll comment on my solution below for the curious.
    thx
    Bud
    I left my wf_client_config.xml file as is. (shown in the original comment above - I have this file in the ViewController project's src directory - not the global src directory)
    I reverted my workflow-identity-config.xml file to its original state (ie removed the multiple configurations and defaulted to the jazn.com realm):
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <ISConfiguration xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/pcbpel/identityservice/isconfig" >
    <configurations>
    <configuration realmName="jazn.com">
    <provider providerType="JPS" name="JpsProvider" service="Identity">
    <property name="jpsContextName" value="default" />
    </provider>
    </configuration>
    </configurations>
    <property name="caseSensitive" value="false"/>
    </ISConfiguration>
    It seemed to me that the worklist client service (API) always uses jazn.com as the realm, even though I added users to myrealm (weblogic's default realm) via oid.
    When I browse for users in a HumanTask.task file in JDeveloper for instance the users I had added to myrealm show up in the jazn.com realm - which is okay since they're all in there.
    Since this is a client and we don't really know the password of a user logging in I used the authenticateOnBehalfOf() method to get the IWorkflowContext of the user after getting the IWorkflowContext of an Administrator.
    In order to get an administrator IWorkflowContext you need to authenticate against a user who is in the 'Administrators' group.
    The code I used is below:
    public class worklistService {
    String adminUser = "harry";
    String adminPassword = "welcome1";
    String realm = "jazn.com";
    public List getTasks() throws WorkflowException, StaleObjectException {
    String user = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().getUserName();
    try {
    IWorkflowServiceClient iWorkflowServiceClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(WorkflowServiceClientFactory.REMOTE_CLIENT);
    ITaskQueryService iTaskQueryService = iWorkflowServiceClient.getTaskQueryService();
    System.out.println("admin user : " + adminUser);
    System.out.println("admin pw : " + adminPassword);
    System.out.println("realm : " + realm);
    System.out.println("user : " + user);
    IWorkflowContext directUserContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate("ben", adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
    System.out.println("------ directUserContext : " + directUserContext);
    IWorkflowContext adminContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate(adminUser, adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
    System.out.println("------ adminContext : " + adminContext);
    IWorkflowContext userContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticateOnBehalfOf(adminContext,user);
    System.out.println("------ userContext : " + userContext);
    Hope this helps someone else ...

  • Build a custom kernel

    can i have a step by step on how to easily build a custom kernel with abs or whatever. ty

    Well, I created this thread because most of the udev talks at this board referred to a custom kernel to speedup the udev events which some have suggested is a bug. With fast computers the udev events loads in a few seconds while slower computers such as a p2 could take perhaps up to a minute to load just the udev events. That issue has been posted at the bugs and such talks about it have been posted at this board going back a few years now.
    I have also read at other boards the kernel 2.4 is still very supported. The software that needs the 2.6 kernel is fixed for the 2.4 kernel. So in these regards, the 2.4 kernel can be an important factor for slower computers.
    I have tested many distros. Damn small linux (DSL) being the fastest to boot to root with the 2.4 kernel. On my computer it only takes DSL about 20 seconds, slackware-8 about 40 second while arch linux takes 60 seconds with the modified start_udev file and about 90 seconds normally. These three distrols detect the same modules and everything seems to be working fine except the sound card where I have to set it up for each of the distros.
    I like this arch linux because I am able to learn linux from the groundup. Such as installing by unetbootin, Packman, modifying a file, and anything else to get to startx, but for the members that have an old computer, there seems to be an ongoing issue of udev. If this udev bug could be fixed, a boot to root would take only about 35 seconds.
    It seems to address this udev events issue, a custom kernel is needed. one that does not take 10+ hours to build. a precompiled kernel could addrees this issus until the bug is fixed.

  • Custom Looping Multiple Numeric Limit Test SequenceFilePostStepFailure

    Hi
    I am using a custom loop on Multiple Numeric Limit Test. The SequenceFilePostStepFailure callback is called each time the loop fails and called again when the step fails.
    I want to do something (not relevant for this question) when it is looping and something else when the step fails. How do I know the difference? Is there any flag to look for?
    I have tried looking at several variables under RunState but haven’t found the right one. Is there one?
    Thanks in Advance
    Kim

    Kim,
    Try Runstate.Caller.Step.Looptype you can compare this to NoLooping.  If NoLooping then the step doesn't loop.  You can also use Runstate.Caller.Step to get a Step object and then just use the API calls to manipulate it.  You can read about it in the TS help.  To get the loopindex try: Runstate.Caller.Loopindex.
    Both should be ran in the SequenceFilePostStepFailure Callback.

  • When and Why do we need to build a CUSTOM CUBE

    Hello Experts, Could some please explain with a scenerio ..
    "When and Why do we need to build a CUSTOM CUBE"
    Thanks in advance
    Bhalout

    When and Why:
    Custom cube should be think of when the constent cube is either not suitable nor available for a subject area.
    If there is a content cube and but does not meet your reporting needs, then the better thing will be to adopt the content one and make changes.

  • How to build a current loop with cFP-1808 and analog input module AI-110?

    I am trying to build a current loop to measure temperature via and a resistance thermometer a transmitter that converts the signal to current. I am using cFP-1808 with the power supply PS-5 directly connected to it.
    For the current measurement I am using AI-110 but I am having trouble with getting current in my loop. I have looked in he manual of the AI-110 module and am using the set up for a "loop with an external power supply", counting the PS-5 as external. That is to say, I have connected the negative transmitter terminal to Vsup on the AI-110, and the positive side to Vin. Now, however, I am stuck. I don't get any signal in my loop.
    Can I use the PS-5 to power my AI-110 module or do I need to use another external power supply? In this case, how do I connect this?
    Thanks for any help!

    Clara G:
    I overlooked that in your 1st post you were connecting the other end of the transmitter to Vin, you actually need to connect it to Iin on the AI-110.
    Regarding the use of the PS-5 to power the cFp and supply power to the loop, I do not know if that will work or not.
    Suggest that you switch over to Iin terminal and use the separate 24V supply to power the loop. If that works, them maybe try the PS-5 for both the cFP and loop power.

  • To build some Custom reports for Sales and Distribution

    I want to build some Custom reports for Sales and Distribution.
    I do not know how to do that.
    I reviewed lots of threads earlier, but couldnt understand how to do that.
    If any one can send me suitable step by step guide, I will really appreciate it.
    Or send me some link or some documents with couple of nice exampples of how to do that.
    Which setting to make in B  ex and everything.
    I am new to BI.
    Please advise.
    Points will be awarded

    Hi,
    Could you be more specific about your requirement. I could understand that you wanted to know what all are the Customer sales reports could be provided in SD.
    Generally irrespective of projects few reports are considered as baseline reports for any SAP implementations.
    For example: 1. Order intakes daily
                          2. Order intakes monthly
                          3. Order magin (daily,monthly)
                         4. Order analysis.
    Best regards.

  • Building a custom Domain Template??

    I have started using the 'Doamin template builder' on Weblogic 11g to build a custom domain template base on my currently DEV domain env. Since, i would like to capture all the necessary domain setup information into a template, and then replicate this similar domain setup to other environment, eg: TEST, PROD. I'm trying to create a DEV domain template with what I currently configure, Admin, Managed servers, NM, Application, MDS, RAC, JMS, and application deployed.
    How do I create a domain template (eg: DEV-template.jar) to be used by other environment TEST, PROD? My concerns with my Domain template is with the dependency on things such as environment settings for host names, RAC DB, JMS, etc. Since these env settings are different from ENV to ENV. How can I over come this problem and come up w/ simplify solution? Is it possible to do this in Domain Template Builder or I'm better off by using WLST to build this type of domain?
    Example or approaches on this type of work would be greatly appreciated Thanks Much!

    I would start with the 'Basic' template, then as one example of a child's book, crafting a chapter-less book is possible, but a minimum of one section is required. Remove the chapter label, leave the TOC blank and you'll then have a basic/generic point from which to work with.
    Use iBA's 'File/Save As Template...' menu and then you have something you can reuse later if you like.

  • Building a custom button

    I've been using LiveCycle off and on for a couple of weeks now. One question that has come up several times - is it possible to build a custom graphic button?
    I can't find a way to import an image into an existing LiveCycle button. I've tried putting in an image and then positioning an invisible button over top of it. This is clumsy at best.
    I'm now wondering if I would need to build a custom object. Is the the correct way to do this?
    Any help is much appreciated.
