Bulk ServiceItems Creation though HTTP REST API call on CiscoPrimeServiceCatalog10

Creating single service item is happening as mentioned below, but i want to know how to do it for bulk of service items can be processed in single request?
Please provide me xml or a way to do bulk create service items.
Create Service Item
Creates a service item.
POST URL:
http://<ServerURL>/RequestCenter/nsapi/serviceitem/process
xml:
<serviceitem>
<name>custom_sitype</name>
<serviceItemData>
<serviceItemAttribute name="Name">sit1</serviceItemAttribute>
<serviceItemAttribute name="Field1">a</serviceItemAttribute>
<serviceItemAttribute name="Field2">b</serviceItemAttribute>
</serviceItemData>
</serviceitem>

This is the format we used earlier for bulk SI creation. But never tried with in CCP itself. Try your luck.

  • HTTP REST API call to CPSC 10.x from an external system

    Hi,
    I would like to know the below items.
    Is it possible to connect with the CPSC 10.x from an external system via HTTP REST API call to process a request and complete a task?
    Is it possible to create a new ticket / request in CPSC for a specific service via the HTTP REST API call?
    One of the use case is to know how many requests are pending in a queue via a HTTP REST API call? How to pass a queue name in the HTTP REST API call to get the result? These kind of custom piece is not available in the integration guide.
    Is there any specific REST API guide available which Cisco provides for the REST capability in CPSC?
    Any help is highly appreciated!
    Thanks.

    When a task is invoked from a service catalog request to an external system, the request remains open and the task is pending until the external system issues a call to complete the task.  The API for completing the task is SOAP-based.  Check out the Cisco Prime Service Catalog Integration Guide.  Within the doc, go to the section about "Web Service Listener Adapter" for the WSDL.
    You can order a service within Prime Service Catalog with a SOAP call, which is also documented in this same document.  Starting with Prime Service Catalog 10.1, you will have a way to order a service via a REST API.
    Existing REST APIs are also documented in the integration guide.

  • HTTP Rest api call maximum results

    Hi all,
    I´m trying to get data from the portal using the follwoing rest api call:
    http://<ServerURL>/RequestCenter/nsapi/serviceitems/serviceitemsubscription
    but it only gives me 20 results, which I believe it is the default, is there any way to get all the elements or a way to page all the results?
    Thanks
    Alex.

    Hi all,
    found some info on the Integration guide (Cisco Prime Service Catalog 10.0 Integration Guide) page 222, there is a section regarding Paging, but the max results are 50.
    I was looking a simple way to export / import info from the portal, but it seems Java is going to be neded instead http nsapi.
    Regards,
    Alex.

  • Event Hub "publisher" endpoint and token : is it only valid for HTTP REST APIs ?

    Hello,
    as explained here
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn789974.aspx I can create a SAS rule to allow devices to send only to an event hub.
    Now I can use this rule and the related connection string to create an EventHubClient object who is capable to send only to the event hub. In this case I can't have fine grained control on devices ... I mean, all devices created by Azure SDK APIs with this
    SAS rule are capable only to send and If I want to block some devices, I can't ... removing the rule I'll block all devices.
    For fine grained control there is the publisher concept (as an endpoint on the event hub).
    Starting from the same SAS rule (for sending only), I can generate more tokens and give each of the to the devices. In this case, without removing the SAS rule I can block single device revoking the token.
    Now ... reading on the Event Hub documentation I can't find any API to send data using publisher concept (and using token).
    See also AMQP.Net Lite documentation (http://amqpnetlite.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Using%20Amqp.Net%20Lite%20with%20Azure%20Server%20Bus%20Event%20Hub&referringTitle=Documentation) ...
    I can send with publisher concept but without specifying token, only SAS rule (key name and shared key).
    My understanding is that the token is useful only with HTTP REST APIs (put the toke in the Authorization header) ... is it right ?
    Thanks,
    Paolo
    Paolo Patierno

    Hi Paolo,
    Yes, SAS token is for HTTP Post. This method need this token to security the channel. It is different with AMQP 1.1.

  • Sharepoint 2013 REST API calls with JASONP support

    We are working on sharepoint online integration with PHP Based application. We need to provide REST API call which supports JSONP.
    So is it possible to create new REST API Endpoints in Sharepoint online APP? Please sugggest right direction.

    Hi,
    In Office 365 (aka SharePoint Online), you can simply consume the SharePoint data through REST API or WS call,but cannot create your own endpoint.
    By default you can get the JSON response from the Office 365 REST API,its upto you to use the JSONP on your client compatibility not on SharePoint online REST API.
    Sometime before I tried, It didn't work for me.
    If you develop the AppModel, SPRequestor.js does the same job(overcome the Cross domain restriction) the what JSONP does.

  • Programmatically bulk upload of files via restful API

    Hi,
    If I am building a custom client application and need to bulk upload say 10 files.. what restful API does sharepoint include to accomplish that.
    A couple of more questions on the above:
    1. Is there any limitation to the size of the file that I can upload via the restful call?
    2. Is there any limitation to the number of files that I can upload via the restful call?
    3. What are the performance characteristics of bulk upload of files?
    4. Does the client side sharepoint 2013 javascript library support buld upload of files.
    5. What happens if a there is a failure in uploading one of the files.. after a few have been during the bulk upload?
    6. What about bulk upload of other (non-file) data?
    Thanks
    Naresh

    Thanks for pointing out Dave. I will look into the link that you sent...
    could you also tell me, if the javascript client library also support this (say I'm writing code to run on a non-windows platform). Also assume that I have the sharepoint hosted on-premise.

  • Document Set Creation in document library using REST API in Sharepoint 2013

    Hi,
    I want to create the document set using REST API call. Currently i am able to create the folder and able to upload the files using REST API's in the document library. Is there any way we can pass the contentype name or Id and create the document set using
    REST API call. We need to create the document set along with metadata and upload the files inside the document set.
    I need to create the document set along with meta data column values using REST API. Please let me know how we can achieve this through REST API.
    Thank you,
    Mylsamy

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create document set along with managed metadata fields.
    The REST API does not currently support working with Managed Metadata or Taxonomy fields.
    As a workaround, we can use the JavaScript Client Object Model.
    Create document set using JavaScript Client Object Model.

  • Office 365 Files REST API - Get direct children in the root of the default document library

    I'm trying to work with Office 365 Files REST API which works just fine except one thing that I'm struggling with.
    What I need for my application is to make an explorer like browse capability for OneDrive for business Document Library.
    My problem is that I don't know how to get the direct children in the root of the Document library
    The API request
    GET ../_api/files will
    retrieve all files and folders in the default document library, including files and folders from sub-directories.
    What I need is basically the functionality of the API request
    GET ../_api/files(<folder_path>)/Children
    that works also for the root folder of the Document library. The problem is that I couldn't find a way set <folder_path> as the root folder.
    I found out that the API call ../_api/web/getfolderbyserverrelativeurl(<folder_server_relative_path>)/Folders and _api/web/getfolderbyserverrelativeurl(<folder_server_relative_path>)/Files works as expected resulting the only the direct
    children of the root folder if the folder_server_relative_path is the path of the document library. The problem with this API call is that it's requires server relative path of the (default) document library (which i don't have) and the result has a different
    schema compared to the ../_api/files REST API call.
    Can somebody help me with this problem?
    David

    First thanks for the fast answer. Let me explain my use case in more details.
    I'm trying to work with the new summer release of the
    Office 365 API tool for Visual Studio 2013 (update 3)
    I found no reasonable way to retrieve the direct children of the root folder from my One Drive for business Document Library using the newly added SharePointClient library.
    The API call of `SharePointClient.Files` will retrieve all the files and folders from the whole document library including sub-folders. So in order to get only the direct children I have to page through all the documents and folders and analyze their URL, which
    is not acceptable for my application scenario. For a sub-folder I can get the direct children like this: `SharePointClient.Files["<folder_id>"].ToFolder().Children` This is what I need but it can't be applied to the root folder.
    So what I did I've checked what REST API calls this library makes and I've tried to find out if there is a way to achieve my goal at least using direct REST API call. It seems like the functionality is missing from the REST API itself.
    The http://site
    url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/items API call also retrieves all the items hierarchy from the library (including items from sub-folders) and the result XML "schema" (fields and the meaning of the ID) differs from the one used
    by the calls by SharePointClient library. (for example the "Id" is a number when the /items is called but when
    /_api/files is called the "Id" is the relative path to the document library)
    Basically what I need can be achieved with the call to http://site url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/rootfolder/files and http://site
    url/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle(‘libraryname’)/rootfolder/folders but again the schema of the result differs from the one used in SharePointClient
    library. This means that in order to get  the direct children of the root I will need to re-implement a good part of the SharePointClient library. It seams like there is 2 kind of REST API is implemented. ( missing  "Id" and "url"
    fields, etc)
    Also there is no convenient way to get the Name or the GUID of the default document library which the SharePointClient.Files
    (https://site_url/_api/file) automatically
    uses. The DiscoveryContext.DiscoverCapability for "MyFiles" doesn't gives any hint either.

  • How to get the highlighted text range through Framemaker's API calls?

    Hi all,
    I'm new to the Framemaker API (7.x) and developing a plugin for Framemaker 7.x. I wanted to get the highlighted objects from the active mif document. Tried this code:
    F_TextRangeT tr;
    /* Get the current text selection. */
    tr = F_ApiGetTextRange(FV_SessionId, docId, FP_TextSelection);
    Here is how I tested it:
    1. some text in the mif doc was highlighted.
    2. I clicked the menu item "my_plugin", a framemaker dialog popped up, some test configuration was sent through the dialog.
    3. The test configuration was read by my program correctly.
    However, the debugger showed that the tr is null! When I changed the first step of the test into:
    1. placed the mouse cursor at somewhere in the mif doc.
    The plugin worked somehow, the line where the mouse cursor was placed got selected, although I did not highlight anything.
    My question is: how to get a highlighted range though the Framemaker API call? I've been flipping through the FDK 7.0 Programmer's Reference but haven't found a solution yet. Any hint will be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Ellen N. Zhao

    Here is some information from the FDK Programmer's guide page 115:
    IMPORTANT: A valid text range can span multiple paragraphs, subcolumns, or text frames.
    It cant span multiple flows, footnotes, table cells, or text lines.
    It is possible for a document to have no text selection or insertion point at all. This can occur in
    the following circumstances:
    ● One or more graphic objects in the document are selected
    ● One or more entire table cells in the document are selected
    ● There is no selection of any type in the document
    So, I did select one or more entire table cells in the document in my first test. It's logical that the result was not like expected.
    But selecting one or more entire table cells is a crucial requirement for my plugin, is there anyway to get things straight?
    Simply put, I want to enable users to select one or more table cells in the document, and I want to get the object handles of the first cell and the last cell through Framemaker API calls. How?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Best Regards,
    Ellen N. Zhao

  • ADF BC: integrating REST API

    Using JDev 11g PS4
    The model of my application has a mix of different sources. Some entities are stored in my database.
    Other entities are coming from a call to an external REST API.
    I am wondering what the best solution is to integrate those REST API objects into my model project because I don't want to expose them as rest api to my view. In my view project, I want to hide the complexity of those API's by exposing data controls.
    Now, what is the best way?
    1) Creating POJO's and creating data controls out of them. These pojo's will have a signature like this:
    public class Foo {
       public List<FooObject> getFoos();
       public void addFoo(FooObject foo);
       public void removeFoo(FooObject foo);
    }This will be exposed to my view so I can easily use it in my view project.
    2) Create view objects to map the entities from my rest API and implement the REST API calls in the custom implementation of the view objects.
    3) ...
    Any other suggestion is more then welcom.

    Hi,
    if the rest of your model is ADF BC then it would feel natural to use prgrammatic view objects to access the REST service. However, if the data is unrelated then using a a POJO DC also appears to be a solution. For simple REST requests that return XML formatted data, you could use the URL Data Control which in 11g R1 allows for read access and in 11.1.2 the full REST CRUD cycle

  • Human Task Bulk API calls from ADF Entity Object

    Dear all,
    Jdev: 11.1.1.7.1
    We have a requirement where in human task APIs need to be invoked on status changes of an ADF Entity (EO). We presently achieve this in the afterCommit() method and all is well.
    But we are looking to leverage the Human Task bulk update APIs and am wondering how to do that.
    The EO does support a batch mode - Is there a batch mode API that we can override to place the bulk update API call?
    Thanks

    in version 11.1.1.6 getInputStream() and getContent() do not work, this is know bug you can find in the oracle support at
    https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/SearchDocDisplay.jspx?_afrLoop=175895926830291&type=DOCUMENT&id=1451100.1&displayIndex=8&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=tlzphlagm_69
    there you can find a .zip file with a full example code.
    Actually Oracle does not consider it a bug:
    "This issue was reviewed by Engineering in Bug 13873092 and is not considered a bug. There is a workaround to retrieve task contents through 'WFTaskUpdate' Servlet as described in the attached Sample project."
    but in my opinion it is a very big bug endeed, and it drove me mad for days! :(
    Anyway here is a snippet with the workaroud in case you do not have access to the oracle support site:
    if att is you attachment and wfContext is your workflow context set somewhere
    AttachmentType att;
    IWorkflowContext wfContext;
    instead of doing this
    InputStream inputStream = att.getInputStream();
    do this
    String contextId = wfContext.getToken();
    String attachmentURL = WFUtils.getTaskUpdateURL(att.getTaskId(), contextId, "" + att.getVersion(),att.getName(),
    Constants.WFTASK_QUERY_ATTACHMENT_BUTTON_KEY_NAME);
    if ( attachmentURL == null ) {
    System.out.println("Unable to generate URL to get attachmentcontent");
    try {
    URL url = new URL(attachmentURL);
    URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
    InputStream inputStream = conn.getInputStream();
    } catch ( Exception e ) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    hope this helps

  • SharePoint 2013 REST API with C# - Mapping HTTP verbs to data operations - Requesting FormDigest

    SharePoint REST interface maps HTTP verbs to data operations. Endpoints that represent
    Read operations map to HTTP
    GET commands. Endpoints that represent update operations map to HTTP
    POST commands, and endpoints that represent update or insert operations map to HTTP
    PUT commands (Ref:
    How to: Complete basic operations using SharePoint 2013 REST endpoints).
    Is this mapping of HTTP verbs to CRUD operations a design paradigm or whether there are other technical reasons to this mapping
    Is is possible to use a GET command for say an update operation or a POST for say a read operation.If so, what consideration make the choice of either usage
    In the code snippet below FormDigest is requested as POST, why not use GET here?
    private static string GetFormDigest(string webUrl)
    //Validate input
    if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(webUrl) || String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(webUrl))
    return String.Empty;
    //Create REST Request
    Uri uri = new Uri(webUrl + "/_api/contextinfo");
    HttpWebRequest restRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(uri);
    restRequest.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;
    restRequest.Method = "POST";
    restRequest.ContentLength = 0;

    HttpWebResponse restResponse = (HttpWebResponse)restRequest.GetResponse();
    XDocument atomDoc = XDocument.Load(restResponse.GetResponseStream());
    XNamespace d = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices";
    //Extract Form Digest
    return atomDoc.Descendants(d + "FormDigestValue").First().Value;
    Thanks - Abhishek

    Many SharePoint REST api methods use parameters. It is much more efficient to post parameters than use query string variables.  Many times complex types are sent and these require json notation objects posted in the body. In the case of "_api/contextinfo,
    it is recommended to use POST rather than a GET when using sensitive data. GET responses can be cached. Since you are getting a security token back in that call it is recommended to use a POST.
