Bursting Listener : Adding images through bursting listeners

Hi
We have a bursting listener hook for one of our bursting control programs.
Need to know how to add images to the generated PDFs using the listener.
The requirement is like this :
Based on the delivery method, we would have to conditionally apply the company logo.
So, if I choose e-mail, the logo should be applied to the PDF. If I choose printer, the logo should not be applied to the PDF as the printer would have stationery pre-printed with the logo ( the bursting control does have multiple delivery methods)
Don't want to use multiple RTF templates - that would increase maintenance overhead.
I am thinking we should be able to achieve this using the BurstingListener where I would use the PDFDocMerger APIs.
The question I have is :
a. Where do I handle this - afterProcessDocument(this has a Vector of the generated temp PDFs) or beforeDocumentDelivery(has no reference to the generated PDFs)?
b. How do I get a file handle to the PDF that has been generated so that I could use the PDFDocMerger APIs to the generated files?
Your inputs on this are appreciated.

You are correct. Each of the 5 PDFs will be emailed AND saved to the file system.
Here is a sample of the busrting control file used :
